Guest Reviews
- Clark (2/5): - The apartment itself was very nice for the most part. BUT the communication with the rental agency was awful. At no time did we receive a text or email regarding the check in instructions. The agency was in Milan, and they use a "go between" person to meet at the property and pass the keys, etc. We ended up waiting over an hour and he ended up blaming us for being late.
- Gwendolyne (10/5): - The flat itself and the gentleman who checked me in and out and came by to resolve an issue are all lovely and well maintained. No issues with the flat at all, it's amazing. There is GREAT AC!! However, I did not like Genoa at all, not even the harbor. I only went there because I wanted to go boating off the Cinque Terra and this was a 6 min walk from the train. But the city is dirty and I did not feel safe by myself. So this is not bashing the flat or communication.
Ci torneremo appena possibile!
- Katia (10/5): Accoglienza ottima e location bella e strategica - Abbiamo scelto questo appartamento perché vicino all’acquario.
- Heidi (10/5): Nice little gem in the city - Great apartment located close to the old port of Genoa. Nice, clean and very spacious. Nice balcony with great views of the city and the port, and within walking distance of the same. Super friendly and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay here next time in Genoa
- Edward (10/5): Giens - One of the best places to stay. - Spend 2 nights here before going on a cruise with my wife and daughter. Angelo was great in giving us advice. Really great guy and a laugh a minute. Helped with luggage etc from the private car park to the room etc.
We will be back here again as honestly, well worth the money.
- MD (6/5): The room was fine and comfortable - The room was fine and comfortable but the principal door was very noisy and didn't let us sleep.
- Sue&John (2/5): Be warned - This is NOT a hotel but a private apt. - Not only is this NOT a hotel, the description posted for this location does NOT say anything about the difficulty to get into the suite. We booked this months ahead of our European trip and were NEVER contacted by the owner, Laura, to let us know that:
-We needed to have someone meet us (and she did not arrange this ahead of time nor let us know).
-This suite (i.e., private apartment) is located on a pier where really only official cars are supposed to enter (those with business at the Maritime museum and tradesmen). We did end up parking there to try to find the place and were there for more than 30 minutes without any issues. (See below about the telcon.)
-There is NO signage for this location indicating that you are in the correct place except for the address no. 3 being correct. (See photos.)
-Only 1 of the 3 business owners (bars/cafes and museums in the same area) around the doorway correctly knew where this was (next door - but there was no way to get buzzed inside nor would that have helped us gain entry into our suite).
-There is no way on the website to contact the owner directly about how to get in. (Contact her ahead of time re: access and her contact info if you choose to stay here.) We had to call Expedia (at $1.00/minute using a US cell and we had to go through 2-3 levels of Expedia before they contacted the owner to have her get back to us - a more than 30-minute process on a very hot and humid mid-June pm.
- Bonnie (10/5): Porto Antico jewel - Great location in the heart of Porto Antico!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A little complicated to get to but a very fun spot with a submarine out the window! I put 4 on the facilities because I had to figure out how to turn on the hot water heater since it was off (wall switch below the tank). Parking is complicated but it all worked out, just the nature of the area! Kids loved the LARGE room and the dolphins at the aquarium! Mold in the shower floor corners... NBD. The room manager of the apartment let us check out at any time since the next day was not booked, very accommodating!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great apartment in central location. - Spacious apartment in central location. Very interesting looking out to marina. All facilities you could need. Would comfortably accommodate a family of four.
