Guest Reviews
- Rosie (10/5): - Amazing treehouse rooms in very cool location and great cafe.
- Robin (10/5): -
- Petr Pecka 75 (10/5): - Krásné prostředí v přírodě (buši) ,k vidění spousta volně žijících zvířat, zejména varanů. Velmi ochotný personál,prostě vše naprosto výborné 👍👍👍
- Carmen (8/5): - Eine sehr außergewöhnliche Unterkunft etwas außerhalb Bangkoks. Ruheoase mit super Service und leckerem Essen

- Aaron (9/5): - The setting was lovely and the lounger on the roof was particularly wonderful at night! The noise at night from the longtail boats was quite loud. Some are still going at 2am!! It did affect sleep but I would still recommend a visit and stay here!
- sophie (7/5): - The location
The shower! A little table is missing downstairs.
The blanket was too small compared to the bed

- Alice (9/5): Quirky fun place to stay - It’s quirky and we enjoyed the privacy that came with having a mini house and a shower that could be opened onto the palm groves. The staff are extremely friendly and the breakfasts good. We enjoyed seeing the water monitors swimming past our breakfast table when the tide was high. The free bikes are a necessity for getting round the island and made visiting the floating market very easy - although it is only open at weekends . It is worth noting that food is difficult to get hold of after 6pm but that can be solved by taking the 5 baht ferry to the other bank and eating at the Siliwat seafood restaurant. If you want to visit the rest of Bangkok then it takes almost an hour from the hotel to get to the nearest BTS station. So a place to get away from urban Bangkok not a base for seeing the sights of Bangkok. The cats are great too. Not a problem for us but the toilets are on a different floor to the bedroom and the stairs are steep.
- Mary (10/5): - The location and the service The litter in the water
- Erik (5/5): -
- flanagan (10/5): Very lovely place, quiet area good food - Very lovely place, quiet area good food, great shower. stairs in the property can be difficult
- shana (9/5): -
- Sophia (5/5): - Beautiful location, you can rent bikes for free and cruise around the beautiful surroundings. There were lots of bugs and a cockroach next to my bed. Made the experience very uncomfortable. Pity because it is a beautiful place and location, just need more attention in the rooms to make sure there are no animals inside the rooms.

- Juliet (6/5): Interesting experience- but hotel not suitable to anyone who needs to wee in the night!!!!! - A very warm welcome, and all staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The rooms and “hotel” is rather tired; not quite like the pictures! The steps to the bedroom are quite challenging especially in the night when you need to go down to the loo! Our loo was very wobbly and the glass floor revealed swampy rubbish filled water which was not particularly pleasant! The surrounding area was rather scruffy, but we did a lovely bike ride (bikes were very old!!) around the island and saw some interesting flora, fauna and temples! Found a lovely coffee shop with sublime croissants!!

- David (1/5): No communication or whatsoever from the hotel. Couldn't get into contact with them. - Nvt. No communication or whatsoever from the hotel. Never got any messages from them after stating my issues. Very disappointed with them.
Alle sehr sehr freundlich vom ersten Kontakt an.
- MORELLA (10/5): Magnifico - Tutto, personale delizioso, cortese, disponibile.
- Jennifer (9/5): Wonderful escape from the city that really delivered on the name "bangkok tree house!" - Great service. Rooms were very nice with great attention paid to the details. The craftsmanship of the built in kitchen and the sleeping area was very nice. Loved the use of mirrors in both the interior and exterior of the rooms and property. Depressing to see so much garbage in the water at the location. It was a nice idea to be able to see through the floor to the water underneath but to see so much garage in the water was distressing.
- Andrea (10/5): Excellent stay! Thank you (kab kun kah)! - Beautiful setting, very peaceful, felt very safe, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms, very interesting design and well cared for property, good food, fun neighborhood to explore, wildlife, hot shower was nice too! Super fun place to stay and have a mini retreat! Some people may not like the stairs or the few insects... It is a rustic location and experience (glamping). But it didn't bother me, just good for others to know before they book.
- Rayleen (8/5): The city but not as you know it - I really liked the ECO hotel. The ECO part does mean that it has some quirks like the glass floor in the toilet downstairs where you can look upon what's floating or swimming beneath your feet. The shower is outdoors and has a discreet heavy duty plastic curtain for privacy across the balcony so that people walking on the walkway past can't see in. I scanned the area for creatures every time! I also had a friendly gecko in my room so be sure to pack your earplugs as they can be noisy at times. The bedroom had aircon and was on the next floor up. Downstairs where the bathroom and entrance are had a fan. If you struggle with mobility, be careful on the steep stairs, especially as you'll need to go down them to get to your toilet. We had awful weather so the upstairs deck with bistro table/chairs was impossible to use, as was the cool hammock on the ceiling but maybe next time we'll have sunshine and can use these. Room had a fridge and fresh cold water each day. Food was amazing. Try the mango, shrimp and tomato salad for breakfast! It was soooo good. Different but good different. Pack your mosquito stuff as they have plenty and watch out for the birdlife and the resident water monitor lizard. All in all, you can have the bustling city of Bangkok by day and then retreat to this little green lung in the centre of it all by night. Definitely a one in a kind place to stay. More awareness: There's a 10min walk from the drop off area by the ferry along an elevated boardwalk through the mangrove forest to get to the hotel. They can, for a fee, send a bike. If raining, be prepared.
Also, easiest way into downtown is on the short ferry to the other side then jump in a Grab taxi you prebooked otherwise calculate at least 1hr to get yourselves in and out each way.
- Harrison (10/5): Amazing boutique stay near Bangkok but feels like the province - Awesome location, really friendly staff, excellent hotel highly recommended
- antonin (7/5): -
- Anna (9/5): Original and nature connected unique spot - Its a very original and quality build location :)
They have bikes so you can explore around the unique town where it is located Their acclaimed restaurant closes at 18h and they won’t be able to tell you where to go (there is actually not much going on around at night). Just to bear in mind if you land a bit late as we did.
- Helen (8/5): I was really sorry not to have spent longer as it was a beautiful place - It was a beautiful location on the edge of the river and the hotel was beautifully designed and set in the landscape It was a little harder to get to than I had imagined, as there was only a footpath to the entrance
It felt quite humid there the night that I stayed
- Dean (8/5): Beautiful accommodation in the heart of the mangroves. - Location was excellent - it really felt you were in the heart of the green lung. With free bicycles and access to all the Mangrove walkways, this is a great spot to go and explore. Restaurant by the river serves nice food and breakfast, at a reasonable price. The rooms are very cool. I think they only have one type so you get a bathroom downstairs with semi-outdoor shower, although so are visible from the walkways so you may need to keep the blinds down. Upstairs is a lovely room with futon style bed and large window, plus a balcony. Above that is a large rooftop bed in a double-hammock style. Lovely staff and cats also make for a great stay. Always surprised at some other comments on here and people's expectations. This is proper mangrove territory so you will get occasional bugs, noises and noise from the river (although that is mainly limited to daylight hours). Being in the mangroves also means that access is via walkways only. It's a ten-minute walk from the closest taxi drop point or you can get a moped taxi if you don't don't have too much luggage. The hotel will also meet and collect if you let them know in advance. this is only a small hotel so staffing is limited, which means food stops at 6:00pm, although you can order Grab delivery. The most disappointing thing was that were only serving beer - no cocktails!
- Kathleen (10/5): - Unique jungle oasis in Bangkok! Very different than the hustle and bustle of the other areas. Peaceful, lush, and abundant wildlife. Staff was lovely! I would recommend.
- jeremy (8/5): We love it here. - Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Such a great experience here. Open air showering with wildlife just the other side of a balcony rail!
Breakfast was great. Beautifully presented and tasty.
We have travelled round thailand and the bed here was probably the best we have slept in.
I just wish we had stayed longer
- Boonyapat (10/5): - Good
- Matthew (10/5): - I will come here again now that I know where Treehouse is located. It is a beautiful property. But getting here was absolute hell. One cannot drive to their location. one can only drive to a wat (temple) that is a ten-minute walk away along the river. My taxi driver was flummoxed in trying to take me here, and we wasted over an hour pf extra time trying to find the place. I interviewed three other guests who had the same problem. This could be solved by putting up signs at the wat directing people, in English and Thai, on what they need to do. It is a long overdue and obvious solution.
- Rick (10/5): - Staff was very nice
- James (10/5): - When you arrive makes all the difference. I suggest you arrive during day.
- H (6/5): Quirky but does not live up to its promises on web - Unique and interesting but utterly overpriced due to it having novelty value. Website completely out of date means promises on the website are not kept by the hotel. Eg it being a vegetarian eco hotel - and then serving all types of sausage at breakfast and dinner. the idea is great but it is clear that the hotel now needs attention from the owner to find its way back to the original path
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is awesome.
Insect repellent on the rooftop would be nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Such a cute place with amazing staff. Central location near Khosan Road. My wife loved the artful decorations and vintage collection.
- J (8/5): - Absolutely enjoyed being away from the bustling citylife, and the serenity staying in this area. The accommodation was comfortable, staff was pleasant as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will consider coming back.
Though the light in our bathroom was broken and they could not fix it within our 1 day stay, we were completely okay with it, but might be something to look out for.
- Thidarat (6/5): Nice place but needs some improvement. - The place is well designed. But the maintenance is quite poor. The staff is friendly though the standard of service and hospitality doesn't quite match the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Overall, we absolutely LOVED our 'tree house'! From the food in the restaurant to early check in, the staff were beautiful as were the double indoor/outdoor shower. The bed and pillows were comfy but the stairs at a 45 degree angle aren't for the faint hearted or those with dodgy knees!
If you would like something a little bit different, we would recommend you stay here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - 15min walk with the luggage.
Horrible and dangerous stairs to the bedrrom on the second floor.
No pricacy. No door in the toilet. Transpatent walls. You can hear people fart in the next room. U can also smell it ...
Tasteless and poor breakfast.
The river around is like a landfill.
The worse, they are crooks: We asked to add one guest and exoedia said that would be an extra 1,000 baht. When we arrived, they didnt prepare an extra bef so they gave us an extra ropm. And insiated on charging full price for that room, which doubled our cost.
I'd rather sleep on the street bext time than go to this place.
- Ryan (10/5): - Lovely romantic stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great escape from the city - Hotel was well maintained and service staff were amazing! Overall very enjoyable stay, just lots of mosquitoes...
- Timothy (6/5): Chilled - The staff were friendly and the room was a nice little set up. Also, good to be away from the hustle and pollution of central Bangkok. Some of the place needs a bit of maintenance and the service for dinner was pretty poor but overall was a pleasant stay.
