A total of 11 messages for just 2 night stay is really too much.

- Jerrine (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at The Lodge on the Green! This is a beautiful property and truly a hidden gem in the Hermanus area. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The staff kindly invited us to relax in the cosy lobby area by the fireplace and even offered us complimentary sherry, which was a nice touch. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very well presented. The bathrobes were a lovely surprise and added an extra touch of comfort that we did not expect. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. We had to leave quite early the next morning, and we really appreciated the team accommodating our request for an earlier breakfast. They prepared a fruit and yoghurt bowl for us and laid out cereals and pastries an hour before the usual breakfast service. This made a huge difference to our day, as we had a long journey ahead. A huge thank you to the team for going above and beyond for us, your hospitality was truly appreciated!

- Mandy (2/5): Don't waste your money - The view of the golf course from the balcony We booked the only available room, a standard double with en-suite. On a positive note, the bed was a good size, comfortable, and had decent pillows. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a complete joke. To get into the shower, you first have to open the shower door, then slide the bathroom door shut — otherwise you physically can’t access the cubicle. Once inside, you still can’t fully close the shower door because the bathroom door handle gets in the way. The shower itself looked grotty and poorly maintained. Getting out is just as bad. There’s virtually no space — the toilet is directly in front of the shower, leaving nowhere to stand and dry yourself. Your only real option is to open both doors and step out into the bedroom naked to dry off, which is far from ideal. The electrics in the room felt unsafe. Too many appliances were plugged into a single extension lead. One bedside lamp flickered and made a worrying crackling noise, so I turned it off. When I switched on the other lamp, it blew all the lights in the room. Breakfast was also disappointing. You have to pre-order by filling in a slip the night before. I asked for baked beans and white toast — the beans arrived lukewarm in a tiny dish, and the toast came about five minutes later, by which time the beans were almost cold. The choice is limited and the service is slow. I wouldn’t recommend bothering with breakfast here. You’re far better off driving to a nearby mall for a proper hot meal. Overall, this hotel falls well short of what you would expect from a 4-star rating.

- Elandre (10/5): A Peaceful Retreat – Exceptional Stay - We had an incredible stay at Hermanus Lodge on the Green. From start to finish, the experience was relaxing, peaceful, and exactly what we needed. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay by an additional two nights. The accommodation was excellent, and every aspect of the lodge—from the rooms to the pool and beautifully kept gardens—was thoughtfully maintained and inviting. What truly made our stay special, however, was the outstanding staff. A special mention goes to the gentleman who checked us in and prepared our breakfasts (unfortunately his name has slipped my mind now). His warm smile, genuine friendliness, great sense of humour, positive attitude, and incredible energy elevated our entire experience. He is clearly a man of many talents and an invaluable asset to the lodge. We loved every moment—from check-in, to relaxing by the pool, to the delicious breakfasts, and the comfort of our room. I can highly recommend Hermanus Lodge on the Green and will certainly be returning. Nothiing. There is nothing to dislike.

Lovely view over the golf course while eating breakfast. Really friendly, helpful staff with a good cooked breakfast. Lovely feel to the whole place. A 15-20 min walk into Hermanus and an easy short drive to Fernkloof Nature Reserve. Some road noise in the mornings but very quiet in the evenings and overnight. The bathroom looked a bit tired but everything worked and the shower was good.

Alles sehr gut organisiert. Ausreichend Parkplätze. Pool und Handtücher prima. Ausreichend großes Gemeinschaftsarreal und getrennten Frühstücksraum mit supe Frühstück....Klimaanlage gut. Bad gut.... Insgesamt kleines Zimmer, das wir hatten... Aber insgesamt trotzdem gut! Unser Zimmer war etwas sehr klein.... sonst ist nichts zu bemängeln....

- Tonia (7/5): - The hotel has a nice location and the view is definitely a highlight of the stay. The staff were friendly. The property is in need of some repairs and maintenance. One issue that stood out was the bathroom setup — although partially covered with wooden slats, the toilet ceiling is open to the room, which affects privacy and comfort. The parking spots are tight and if guests don't park properly you might have to park on the street. With some improvements and attention to detail, this could be a much better experience overall.
- Mike (10/5): Ruhige Lage am Golfplatz - Wunderschöne Unterkunft am Golfplatz Sehr ruhig und sauber. Wir würden herzlich empfangen und das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Alles würde frisch zubereitet und war sehr lecker. Auch die Ausstattung war hochwertig. Kann man nur empfehlen. Großes Bett und tolle Kissen.

Location excellent as long as driving not walking. Very cramped room. Noisy both from our room to neighbouring. And from banging doors to outside noise.

So the location was perfect. - When I made the booking I chose the option of 2 single beds in one room but when we came there we received a room with 1 double bed. They quickly arranged for another room without any extra cost. Thank you so much for this. Room was lovely, breakfast excellent and view from the dining room also very nice. And the staff - very friendly and helpful ! Everything was good

- Martin (10/5): Heaven is a place at Heemanus on the Lodge - Exceptionally beautiful, overlooking golf course with sprinkles book and dozens of wildlife and quiet as heaven. Pool area stunning, staff terrific.
