Kevin (1/5): Family 80th birthday JHB - The pre arrival communication was very good That we only got a 50% refund after we could not get to JHB from Durban on the morning of Saturday 21st Sept due to the all the roads between JHB and DBN being closed by an out of the ordinary snowfall. If it were my business my customer would have got a full refund. There were 12 of us and we are all very disappointed with the 50% only refund. Malibongwe was great.

Alice (7/5): Second time staying here, would highly recommend it as long as the bath gets fixed! :) - Good sized room, streaming service on the TV great, location easy to find and feels safe. Malibongwe was very helpful and friendly. Safe parking. The bath had no water pressure whilst all of the other taps and shower worked great, seems like there is an issue, hopefully its rectified soon. The bathroom also tends to get a little damp so an extractor fan would help with that. The one wall in the kitchen area has quite bad water damage on it too.

The guesthouse exceeded my expectations in every way. The cleanliness and level of comfort were outstanding, with the well-furnished self-catering facilities making our stay feel like a home away from home. The proximity to Campus Square Mall and UJ campus was incredibly convenient, allowing us to explore the area easily. Additionally, the abundance of amenities nearby made our stay even more enjoyable. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the exceptional hospitality provided by Malibongwe and the friendly staff. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The self-service breakfast was delicious and plentiful, adding to the overall satisfaction of our visit. I highly recommend Melville Gap Guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area. I will certainly be returning in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Nothing

The went over and beyond to help us find the place as well as our destination the next day We are unable to use electric appliances due to load shedding I suppose. The venue may consider investing in solar systems to power the electricity sockets.

( area had electricity fault. But with backup generator an arrangement should have been done with guests, I don't expect the establishment to run the gen through the night. But at least communicate) 2. Having no drinking water provided.

The wifi (mostly) works through loadshedding periods and the room also has a lamp that functions without electricity. Sometimes there is lack of water and the wifi has poor connectivity. The street where the guesthouse is located is also unsafe, although the property has safety measures like electric fence with alarm and protective locks.
