Guest Reviews
- Janice (2/5): Filthy gotel - Was disgusting. Room filthy, especially bathroom, stains all over the room, made a coffee was disgusting, unsure if kettle, coffee or the water. Bathroom door broken, remote for TV broken, and worst of all, rat traps in the hallway.
- Victoria (4/5): Comfy clean bed but rest disgusting - So the bed was comfy and clean and the room was ideal for what I needed except the cleanliness .. so on entering it stunk of cigarette smoke, the bathroom was disgusting it hadn’t been cleaned the walls were filthy, could open the windows because of the smell of sewage, there was never anyone on reception to speak to which they say there is .. I do expect to clean up after myself but I don’t expect to turn up to a stay where I need to disinfect it incase the previous people had covid as you could tell there was no cleaning done in the room. The plates n bowels they were filthy and had to be cleaned before use and along side with the cutlery and pans. There was no bedside table so couldn’t put glasses on a stand and there is no sockets in the bedroom side which would be helpful to be able to plug in an alarm clock or phone for alarm clock.. the radiator in there I didn’t use but it was fear of catching something due to how dirty it was the windows are full of crap and when ever the room upstairs flushed or used shower it sounded like it was coming right outside the room window
- Tracey (2/5): I would advise to look elsewhere - The staff wouldn't let me check in after I finished work as said I had to check in earlier the room was booked and paid for and the manager was very rude and un helpful
- Verified traveler (2/5): Sleepless night - When first arriving in the room at 2pm i could hear the sound of water pouring. I thiught it could be a room up or next door that is taking a shower so did not think much of it. Around 8:30pm when i got myself into bed i could still hear the pouring sound not even a little leak it was as if i had my own shower on full. I called the man working at reception and showed him the issue to which i was told that its not a leak it seems like someone has left there showed next door or in top. I told him i will struggle to sleep with the constant sound of gushing water. He said he will see what he can do and get back to me. This did not happen and i was left struggling to sleep all night. I was constantly in and out of sleep due to this sound. I will not be staying in this hotel again because of the sound problem and also the staff not caring about there customers. Surely all rooms should be checked before giving them out and ones not fit enough for a stay should not be given out.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Cold - The room was dirty, there was no toilet roll. The plates provided were not clean, there was 2 knives and no fork. The radiator didn't work and the room was cold all night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cheap price and cheap style. Uncomfortable bed. Stuff was very friendly and helpful.
- Mouna (2/5): Disappointed - Not as expected.
Bed very uncomfortable.
The guy at the reception was professional however he was not able to give me another room as his manager did not pick up the phone
- Raheem (2/5): - Don’t be fooled by the pictures. Arrive early and insist on seeing the room before you pay. My room was at the end of the corridor which had no light. The room condition was poor, despite the no smoking signs, the room had cigarette burns around the kitchen area, window cil and table. Kitchen surfaces immovable stains.
The bed was uncomfortable and the shower area not maintained. Handle missing. The actual shower was surprisingly good.
The large TV was situated in front of the bed, which in practical terms means you have to lay on the bed as the room affords no room to move.
The
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed - Sliding shower door would not close and the fan in the shower was making noises. I then asked to change rooms, I was given another room with broken kitchen units. Also not enough toilet room in bathroom. I have stayed here before but it was in a better condition however now it’s not. Main disappointment is loud customers walking around in hallway. Walls and doors are not sound proof, can hear others next door. Can also here others upstairs showering, the water noise is very disturbing. Personally I would not be staying here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Everything okay apart from the security. We had someone banging on our window and loitering the corridors early hours of the morning which was quite worrying as there is no security in terms of staff on at that time
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Shower head was filthy. Hadn't been cleaned in years. Room smelled.
- Iain (8/5): - Supply of hot water inconsistent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Has the bare necessities but more for quick stays. - I won't say it's an ideal place for family. More for couples or friends that are very comfortable with each other as the bathrooms are open. They need extractor fans as the bed is right next to it, but we needed a place in an emergency and this sufficed, the gentleman in charge was very kind and understanding and helpful, so I can't knock the place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Basic and not so good... - Ground floor room; didn’t feel comfortable leaving the blinds open or the windows open as there was easy access at the back of the building.
The worst part was the smell in my room; not sure if was stagnant water from the bottom of the ‘bathroom’ unit or a sewerage smell coming up from under the shower unit. The bed head is less than 2 metres from
the bathroom unit, so no way to avoid the smell...
The shower head was rusty and leaked. Couldn’t sit on the toilet properly as the sink was so close to the toilet.
The service from the reception staff was great and they were lovely, just a shame the room was not up to my expected standard...
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - It was good stay. Just they just dont leave the reception unattended when they expect a guest as i buzzed for more than 20 minutes before someone arrived.
- Jodie (2/5): Horrific premises - Horrific !!! DO NOT BOOK UNTIL YOU READ OUR EXPERIENCE
Rats outside front door , junkies asking for money , police raid at 2am looking for underage girls ,and a blocked fire exit!!!!!
Paid £1000 for 2 rooms for 2 weeks , stayed 1 night and still waiting for refund.
Hotels .com not getting back to me and its left for me to chase the refund !!!!
Will be reported to trading standards ,local fire service and Environmental health.
Miss sold by accommodation and not vetted by Hotels .com a.
- Adam (10/5): All Good. - Does what it says on the tin.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sorry but not again - Very tired looking and noisy at all hours.
- Mohammad (6/5): - Room was not clean there is a dame makes next to bed no privacy for the bathroom every time first floor people used the toilets we were getting disturbed
- Stephen (8/5): Trivelles Hotel review - Great hotel for stay in Bradford not far from city centre ideal for me as was goin Infest at the University
- Verified traveler (2/5): WORSE HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! - The bedroom was okay size, but the bed was the most uncomfortable thing ever! The pillows were worn out and the bed springs were such a nightmare to sleep on! Saw a little guest mouse jump out the window. We wanted a later check out due to a late night out and nobody was at the check out to attend us or any other guests there. Parking is very limited. Overall, I will never stay here again. Need to improve the service A LOT!
- Stephen (6/5): Not the best to stay - It’s basic. Self contained Appartment in 1 room. Mattress was springy. Being basic meant that noise traveled very easily. The area was a bit rough too.
- Zeynah (4/5): Don’t recommend this hotel - Not a good stay due to people smoking even though it is stated they are to be fined. People shouting and slamming doors all night in the rooms surrounding us. Walls are so thin you can hear the next person having a shower. Didn’t sleep so don’t recommend
- David (8/5): Ideal for a single night and if not a couple - The area is interesting, industrial with an area at the back that looks like a location had been knocked down. My room overlooked a dirt bank that had lots of building material and pipes etc, not at all attractive, this would explain why both blinds were pulled down!!! The kitchen area had a work surface that was cracked, there was two plates, two cups, knives and forks, but no bowls for a breakfast. The car park was full (however I did arrive at 21:00), so parked the car on the road in front.
It was fine for what I wanted, but I would not recommend this for a couple as the bathroom is just a glass box with no privacy.
- Yasser (4/5): just functional with good strong hot shower - i guess i was hoping for a bath... just shower and toilet units
- char (10/5): Nice clean hotel, perfect for us. - Hotel clean, 5 minutes walk from the city centre which was perfect for what we wanted. Price was excellent.
- Robin (6/5): Students spoil the accommodation - Overall stay was fine but some rooms are let to students and I'm afraid on our visit it was really noise with shouting running and banging doors on the hallway
Looks nice and freshly decorated but needs more thought on location of toilet as you can lay on bed and see EVERYTHING .
- naila (2/5): Really awful experience - I appreciate this is a budget hotel however I have stayed in similar priced rooms in other hotels but this was truly awful.
The room smelled of smoke, the bed was really uncomfortable I could feel the springs in the mattress poking my back. The shower was in a transparent glass room next to the bed which made it awkward when wanting to use the toilet and my mother was there. We had to ask for bedsheets to cover the room for privacy.
- h v (10/5): Nice apart from the bathroom whivh a see throgh gl - Very nice i like to stay again very clean nice people like yr own flat
- joe (4/5): Room layout terrible bed is right to the toilet. - Staff is ok. Room layout is disgusting. Bed is not very comfortable pretty hard.
- nico (10/5): 178 sunbridge - Was a very pleasant stay will definitely be staying there again would recommend to anyone . Top hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): If your just after somewhere to sleep it’s ok. - Waiting 30 mins before someone turned up to book us in.
Deco and furnishing finishes a bit shoddy.
Earth Bank at rear full of rat holes and rubbish, needs making presentable.
For the money can’t really grumble and would possible stay again.
- Jeff (2/5): Pictures on web not reflect the room correctly. - Staff arguing in lobby on arrival, almost put as no show with 15 minutes Lleyton to check in
- Abdulrauf (8/5): Very pleasant place - It was lovely and pleasant place to lodge
- John (2/5): Noisy. - All aspects very good except for the noise in the corridor at night. From 11pm to at least 3am there was constant door opening talking shouting and swearing. Reception being unmanned meant no backup in dealing with the issue and left us feeling more than a little vulnerable. Will definitely not be back.
- Paul (6/5): Could be far far better with a bit more effort. - After staying in hotels recently I wanted to go self catering. However. Why give people a job but no pans or cooking tools. Also no cereal / soup bowls. Really it was so close to being far better just attention to details. Oh and when you clean shower. Please look up. Otherwise fine. Towels, comfy bed. Quiet. Toiletries and tea / coffee.
- Andy (6/5): Nice budget hotel. - Nice budget hotel close to the city centre, very clean, reception very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to centre of Bradford - Helpful staff at check-in.
Very noisy guests in adjacent rooms.
I left item in room when I checked out. When I returned to collect it, reception was empty and nobody answered the phone.
- Bradley (8/5): 104 shower door - It is an outstanding hotel just didn't like the room(104) shower door doesn't stay shut. That's all that was wrong
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel for the price have stayed here quite a few times now and back again this week so good
- Hetul (8/5): not a bad stay - The location wasn't bad but was in the middle of run down buildings, The manager was very helpful. the stay was pleasant on the first night but the second night was ruined by the stupid childish people in the opposite rooms.. they were load all through the night which ruined the stay. The hotel was actually nice compared to many.... the room was quite cramped as there was much room to maneuver around the bed but kitchen area was more spacious. if i had to stay again i actually would as the service was excellent. Thanks Qasim!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No tea coffee in room Not cleaned. Food in fridge.
- A R (8/5): Nice Hotel - Friendly Staff, good standards, all facilities available
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good night sleep - Staying twice in same hotel mean wasn't that bad for basic hotel for good night sleep.
- Al (8/5): Super clean and friendly - Great place. Bargain, super clean. Friendly staff. 5 minute walk to city centre. Will stay again.
- Elizabeth (4/5): Appalling hotel - This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. So there's no one at Reception when you call the number to check in you wait over 5 minutes for someone to let you in the front door. We were greeted by a miserable Receptionist who acted like she was doing us a favour giving us a room. After we got in we accidentally locked ourselves out the room so we had to call again. The grouchy woman returned with, "If you lock yourselves out later tough because noone will be able to let you in". I thought it was an awful attitude to have towards paying customers. The hotel is like located in a run down area surrounded by derelict buildings. It's also a student accommodation which we were unaware of. All night there was this really loud water sound at various intervals as if our shower had been put on at full pressure, but it wasn't on and because it wasn't continuous it just woke you up when it did it. The shower doesn't drain properly so you flood the whole bathroom as you shower. Check out is at 10:30 but people were trying to clear us out check us out at 9:30. I also had asked for late check out, which I was able to pay for but received no response. The only way anyone should stay in this hotel is if it's free. The service was absolutely appalling and there is a reason that people don't stay at places like this. In the future I would rather pay double this price and get a decent service and nights sleep. Never again. Still, you get what you pay for I suppose.
- Richard (10/5): great value self catering - fast wifi, seating and kitchenette were very good. nice and modern and clever design. manager was very friendly and helpful. the tv was quiet because it was built in and covered the speakers and somewhere to put things by the bed would be useful but they are minor things.
- Verified traveler (4/5): would not recommend - I booked this hotel as it was the closest to where my customer was based. I did not realise it was half hotel/half student accommodation. I was put on the ground floor next to the laundry room and I could hear washing machines whirring all through the night. In addition, as I was doing work in the evening, I happen to glance outside my room and saw the biggest rats walk past on the embankment and around pipes lying on the ground. Rather unsavoury.
- Vincent (10/5): Trivelles Bradford - Easy check in with text confirmation, friendly staff, definitely will be back.
- Verified traveler (2/5): disgusted - Took 20 minutes of being stuck outside till I was able to speak to anyone n then it took 10 minutes to come down and check me in. The room itself was gross. It had not been cleaned. There was poo stains in the toilet n hair in the shower. It was disgusting n should not be used to rent out in that condition. I could not tell anyone coz there was no one to tell. Disgraceful
