Guest Reviews
- Lee (2/5): - Despite having a reservation, they did not have a room available. It took 45 minutes to find this out.
- Leticia (10/5): - Pague en efectivo mi estancia , y aun asi me cobraron en mi tarjeta .no estoy de acuerdo ..como solicito mi reembolso
- Bonita (8/5): - nice apartment. Friendly people. Pool. A little dusty but it was windy. No bugs, clean overall.
- Brian (6/5): - Good price clean room nice staff.
- Naomi (1/5): Booking.com should not list this place. - The place was so bad I chose not to stay.
- Bacon (10/5): Exceptional - The Price Pool water was hot but for the 117 degrees not much that can be done..
- Shaun (10/5): - Place is a little dated BUT it had everything you need as a traveler, was clean and comfortable and even has a land line telephone!!
- Erik (8/5): - The property had a lot to it like a small pool, bbq and patio on the pluse side. on the minus side was is was a little run down and dated. The stove was from the 70's plaster chips on the walls and everything was just way out date.
- T7153UMkathyf (10/5): Great place to stay - We will definitely go back. We enjoyed our stay. Place was older but nice. It was clean and fairly spacious. Good price for what we got. Nice having a place to cook. Didn't bring anything to cook with but lady from office got us fixed up with things to cook with. She was very helpful and nice.
- Olson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (7/5): Good -
- Lonnie (8/5): - The rooms was nice and clean. The staff was good.
- Jocelyn (10/5): A quaint little spot that I would recommend anyone who needed to go to Yuma. - The lady in charge was kind and very accommodating for us.
- PATRICK (8/5): Solid value for the money - A basic motel is all I was looking for at a good price. I was able to park my vehicle right outside my room. Good sized fridge & freezer.
- Richard (10/5): - Excellent and responsive service
- Rebecca (1/5): Bad - I cant say much since i didnt check in fully
- Willliam (8/5): - all was ok
- Bonita M (10/5): - I commute once a month and prefer staying there. Karen goes out of their way to make sure that I have everything I need and that I have the disabled room. It's very clean. Has a full kitchen and a pool that was open. It's very nice and comfortable and reasonable. I stayed there during the Hillary sandstorm and the electricity was off. And they relocated me to another Oyo until the electricity came back on then I wanted to go back over there. The staff at both places is very nice. What's the time it's quiet. Occasionally there's something going on but it's taken care of right away. I'm just sad they close it during the winter for the agricultural workers cuz if I had just a little more income I'd live in there full time I like like it so much. And they even allow pets which is awesome.
- George (5/5): Passable - PEOPLE NEXT DOOR HAD DOGS AND THEY HAD DOGS RUNING EVERY WHERE
- Forest (9/5): Superb -
- Trotter (5/5): Kathy was great. Very helpful and friendly but looked like she could of used some hrlp - There was no breakfast offered. I like that there is a full sized refrigerator freezer as we were hunting dove for 3 days and needed the freezer. The property is old and getting run down I don’t mind that so much but for the price you are charging I expected better. The rooms are over priced for the condition they are in.
- Judah (7/5): Good -
- Alex (8/5): Very good - The amenities...the refrigerator, pantry, stove, etc. Very nice, helpful, and accommodating employees. No swimming pool and no on property clerk. Had to wait to check in.
- Maureen (10/5): Nice - Clean, friendly, respectful and helpful. Nice place to stay.
- Forest (9/5): Superb - Room was clean and equipment worked as they should. We will come back. Bed was too soft.
- Ken (4/5): It was cheap - Well the staff were nice. The bed was comfortable enough. The air conditioning unit was difficult to adjust broken knobs etc. It was a little grubby but really only because of the passage of time since the fixtures were put in presumably in the 1960s.
- Joe (8/5): Very good - Very roomy like an efficiency apartment. Had full size refrigerator and stove. A.c. worked perfectly. Had front and rear entrances. Good tv and sitting table. Hot water was hot. Karen in the office is exceptional and was very kind and helpful. No ice machine.
- Bustos (8/5): Very good - Big rooms and kitchen Swimming pool
- Benevolence786 (9/5): Fabulous Desert Getaway - Five star service for essentially a budget hotel. The manager is super accommodating with your requests and cleaning lady is thorough. Treated like royalty with my annual visits. Amazing how quiet my stays here. Gratitude and see you down the road. All good, no complaints.
- Erin (8/5): Very good -
- Erin (7/5): Good -
- Shena (1/5): Bad - Nothing Could. Not bok my room check in desk doir was locked and no one there. Rung bell na. Had to find another motel
- Janice (8/5): - It was nice and cozy. The back screen wouldn't lock at first but maintenance was there promptly to fix it. Stores were close by for our needs. I would stay again.
- Ojeda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Koonmee (7/5): Good -
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - the most comfortable bed I’ve had in Yuma. it was quiet and clean.
- Michelle (10/5): Home away from home - The beds were very comfortable the rooms were clean it was very convenient having a kitchen and my own little patio. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It had a very homie atmosphere No complaints
- Bonita M (10/5): - The decor was very exquisite. There was a full kitchen. There was a balcony overlooking bushes and the pool. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were welcoming. I honestly wish I could live their full time. It is pet friendly. There was soap, shampoo, body wash and hand lotion. I had the pool all to myself. First time I found a motel with a pool open since the pandemic. I loved that it had a sliding door onto the patio.
- Katerina (7/5): Simple yet sufficient - We needed a place to spend a night with my family. It is a simple motel, the furniture is quite old. But the beds are good, there is a fridge , a microwave, a stove and a coffee maker (but no dishes or utensils), everything was clean, and the area was quiet. The motel wasn't renovated in a while, we couldn't lock the back door properly.
But it was probably the cheapest option in Yuma, so I can't complain.
- Alvaro (9/5): Superb - Nice clean rooms. The pillows were a little flat.
- Shanna (1/5): No vacancies didn't get to stay. - I mistakenly booked for the wrong night. When I got to the hotel there was no vacancies for the night I needed to stay. They canceled my reservation but I didn't get my payment back. So I paid for a room that I didn't get to stay in and also there were no rooms available. I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A REFUND!!!
- Joyce (7/5): Humble, but clean & comfortable. Very few amenities. Good Internet. - The building is old and can use upgrading. But, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Internet service was reliable. The location was good for my needs. There are no food amenities, but there is a kitchen in the room, including a stove. There are no pots, pans, utensils, etc. the a/c works and keeps the room comfortable. It is a humble property, but is clean and comfortable. I would stay again. The TV channel options sucked. There was no access to streaming channels. I watched shows on my laptop.
- Wedgeworth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edd (3/5): Poor -
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristen (10/5): Fabulous - Karen was prompt and polite when something was wrong or needed. Great location. Had a few problems with the cable box, electrical box could use professional service. The room phone was inoperable.
- Scott (10/5): perfect location for bird hunting - close to bird hunting
- Luis (7/5): Good -
- Perry (2/5): - It took 30 minutes to get someone at front office.
- Michael (8/5): Good place to stay for the price - Super friendly staff and the room was large and had a full kitchen. But the entrance was under construction, and the room was in need of renovation. But it had a new refrigerator and was very quiet at night.
- Heriberto (10/5): The most gracious hosts! - Amazingly clean, cold air conditioner, free-fast wifi, too many cable channels on a large screen, a kitchen with fridge and the most gracious hosts. Thank you so much!
- Yeates (9/5): Quite surprised! Will stay here again! - Great staff! Karen helped us so much! Always smiling! Karen checked us in, hooked us up with all the things we needed, pool towels, ice, coffee, etc! Was surprised with the room! Very spacious, clean, comfortable! Would definitely come back! Older hotels are almost always a work in progress. This hotel is getting better and better!
- Itziar (4/5): I've been in better places - The bed was clean There were at least 4 flies in the room. Also a dead cricket in the bathroom
- Barbara (10/5): very happy here! - This is a small, independent place, with one other location, and was incredibly clean! The folks working there were very friendly, helpful and went beyond the necessary 'good' customer service when I wanted to find a particular place to eat. I will definitely stay here again - the price was right too!
- Vincenzo (6/5): Close to shopping plazas - Even if you cannot find much to visit in Yuma, this place is cheap and authentic, not far from the main plazas. Check in at 15, clean room even if a bit worn out, garden in common, good fridge and cooking stuffs. Bathroom pretty small but clean and tidy. Road closed to reach the motel.
- Dan (6/5): Pleasant -
- renzo_p_018 (6/5): Close to shopping plazas - Even if you cannot find much to visit in Yuma, this place is cheap and authentic, not far from the main plazas. - Tiz (2/5): I wish someone didnt steal medicine - I did like the quitness there were bo cleaning my room, except for twice and i had a bag full of my medicine in on counterand when I came back my my medicine was gone that medicine was vey important to me and my life i dont understand why she move my bag of medicine when there were plenty other bags that were left untouched why didnt she move those bages the pool was dirty the a/c service was need more tv channels. And so now I am out of my medicine and there will be while before my doctor give then back to me my medicine was stolen
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rose (7/5): Good -
- Alexander (10/5): - It had a fridge stove n sink…awesome
- Teren (10/5): - Has a kitchen
- Lisa (8/5): - Quiet mostly residential neighborhood, friendly staff. Room was large, dated but decent for the price. We were there just on an overnight stop so it was good for that, but has a kitchenette so would also be a decent place for an extended stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay Away! Don’t make the same mistake as i did. - No Wifi
No Office
No follow up
Room 3/10
I have no idea how Hotels.com signed up with this place.
- Leland (4/5): - Motel for farm workers. Neighborhood is sketchy. Hotels.com did not accurately describe it.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Area of hotel was nice as it was close to everything there was also a kitchen area which was nice. Hotel bathroom wasn’t clean. There was even roaches at night at the bathroom. The shower wouldn’t drain.
- Dan (8/5): - Low budget hotel worth the price
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Had choice of two rooms. First one smelled, second one was better. Appliaces are 70ish but did work. Had coffee but no coffee pot. And no toilet paper in the bathroom. Bed was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The man who greeted us was there within five minuets and was very friendly. The room was clean and the sheets are very soft, the pillows were super nice as well as an extremely comfy bed. They turned the ac on before we got there so the room was cool. They had good tv channels and a back slider door with a screen which was nice during the day when you wanted a breeze. The only down side would be the shower head could use some tlc (removal the buildup) and that messed with the water pressure. The kitchen was nice but not really needed in our situation seeing as we were only there for one night. The outside could use some paint but all in all we would stay again for sure.
- Marilyn (4/5): - The bedding was clean, but the rest was so old you couldn’t tell whether it was clean or not. Stains in bath and tub.
- Mary (6/5): Needs work. - The check in was excellent, the young man that checked us in was very nice. The beds were ok. The a/c excellent. No soap, shampoo, cups water or coffee. Under the kitchen sink awful. Not comfortable with parking and area. Very dirty outside with trash and cigarette butts. Behind where i parked looked like vacsnt very old mobile homes. They looked abandoned but the area was clean. No bulb in lamp. 1 bed reading light did not work. When I checked in he said to call if I needed anything but after dental work I didn't want to. Needs lots of work.
- Carol (2/5): - Place closed for fumigation.they didnt notify web site when we got there the place was closed.still got billed w/ out refund.
- Jennifer (2/5): Don't stay here - We felt very unsafe in that neighborhood. There was an abandoned mobile home park next door. The room smelled like mildew and smoke. The only plug that worked was in the bathroom. I walked around in my shoes bc it felt dirty.
- UpsetMom (2/5): - We killed 3 roaches within the first five minutes of entering the room. It smelled odd and was in bad condition (dirty carpet, chunks of wall missing etc). There was not one other car in the parking lot and we began to feel unsafe and decided to leave. We informed the front desk of the situation and they did nothing to alleviate the situation. We ended up leaving and having to find another hotel room. This hotel charged the full amount of stay to my card yesterday. This is not ok.
- Heidi (10/5): Home away from home. - Felt like home away from home. Very quiet and humbling. Very much enjoyed the pool area.
- S (4/5): - It was nice to be furnished with all the necessary kitchen items. But the refrigerator froze all the food and drinks we purchased. The mattress was hard, yet somehow saggy, at the same time. The staff was friendly to begin with then became rude and abrupt. During our second night stay there was a stabbing outside our motel's sliding glass door. Needless to say this brought unsettling chaos throughout the night and into the next day (screaming, police knocking on door asking questions, investigators outside door for hours, crime tape and crime scene clean up scrubbing cement outside glass door when we woke up). Hardly got any rest. When I brought that up to front desk inquiring about the availability of the room for another night at possibly a discounted rate - I was actually quoted a higher price than the previous two nights. I then requested a later checkout time to get some sleep before having to get back on the road. I was granted until 1 instead of 11. I completely understand that they had no control over the tradegey that happened, but I'm sure they could have attempted to lessen shock.
- Dean (2/5): - The place was a zoo checking in,nobody knew how to use there "New Computer System"!! Lobby had no A/C!!! The first room they showed me had old carpet, bathroom was leaking..I was starting to gag from the smell and there was mold on the walls too. The second room they showed me was just about as worse! Finally they showed me a third room that I would normally not stay in, it was dirty and the commode leaked when you sat on it. It was getting late. I had already paid so getting my money back was not worth it...I am ex Army so I have slept in many conditions worse, I was only going to be there one night so I thought what the Hell and took the room..not a lot of sleep because I was seriously waiting for the roaches and bugs to come out and get into the bed with me LOL It's inexpensive to stay there!!! Don't waste your money you will regret it TRUST ME
- Verified traveler (2/5): Motel was terrible but Hotels.com rocks. - First of all, Hotels.com rocks. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I booked this hotel, but when I got there I realized I had made a big mistake and there was no way I could stay there. This motel is out of the way in a strange location. The parking lot was so dark I had to use my headlights to find the room. The room was so hot there was no way the wall a/c unit would cool it off, the vents of the unit were black. The room was dirty, there was a long black hair on the bed, the towels looked like they belonged in a garage, the sink had remnants of what I assume was cleaning powder streaked. The carpet was filthy. There was no way I could stay there. I called Hotels.com and the agent called the front desk for me. They refused to refund my 2 nights there!! At this point I didn't care, I had to leave, but Hotels.com took care of me and I was beyond thankful.
- Susan (10/5): Great job! - Great motel
Older building but well maintained. Employees are wonderful
The housekeeping lady even cleaned the ashtrsy i had outside!
Very impressed. Great job
- Dan (2/5): - Toilet needs to be replaced the bed needs to be replaced the carpet needs to be replaced should I say anymore
- Highdesert420 (2/5): - Motel was closed when I arrived. Lights off, nobody home. I went down the street and checked in elsewhere. Sent a message to Cheaptickets for a refund, and motel owners refused. Really? Spoke with bank who stated they will gladly reverse the charge. Total scam. Avoid this place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very crappy hotel. - Very dissatisfied with my stay here. When I checked in they wanted me to give a $50 cash fee in case the room was destroyed but no where on the site I reserved the room from days that. Then when we got into the room, the door was really hard to open however the bathroom window was very, very easy to open even with a window lock on it. I couldn’t even take a shower there because there was NO shower curtain. When I needed the front office, no one was in the office, answered the emergency bell, or answered a phone. That’s how I found out the bathroom window opens even with a window lock. The pillows suck as well. They were not comfortable and felt very flat. There were no extra blankets in the room and it got really cold in the room. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hot rooms - It was hot in room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - there was nothing i can think of about not liking.
Hotel is conveniently located in a very quiet neighborhood
close to many shopping and restaurants. The room a suite with a fully furnished kitchen, if you feel the need to cook. Bed was very comfortable and the overall suite was very clean. decor was pleasant. Pool area was well maintained. I highly recommend this place. had a very peaceful and comfortable stay.
- Louis (2/5): Roaches - Well we first got there and had a note on the door saying we had to drive to the other location they own to check in which was two miles down the road. Then when we got to our room there was three dead roaches. I contacted them and all I got was sorry to hear about that.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No one at front desk at check in. 2nd time this has happened
- Randy (2/5): Roaches - Terrible hotel. We did arrive after 10 and told them we were going to be late. They were nice to tell us after we reserved online and had to meet him at econolodge to pick up our hotel key. While driving there we had passed it up. There was no light knowing were the hotel was. As going inside we saw big roaches inside the hotel. It is also an older hotel. The room smelt like they just bombed the room. We called him right away and said we are not staying here and asked for a refund. They easily said ok at first but it was never issues by them. Worst hotel ever. Don't look at the review they all lied.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - clean , full kitchen with utensils comfortable bed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners are always so nice and helpful. We stay here every time we go to Yuma. Always very clean and comfortable.
- Joe (8/5): Excellence - Nice out of the way quiet vintage motel staff are very nice and for a property of this price there was absolutely no rifraff or shady characters around. Highy recommend this site if you don’t want to be bothered
- Andrew (10/5): - Sandy is amazing. Gives you the feeling that you’re family
- Wilson (10/5): - Robin was very friendly and helpful. There was a nice patio to sit and smoke. We will stay here again if we ever need to be back in Yuma
- Passport12900075435 (2/5): Beware - Found room traveling to Yuma. Short overnight thought it would be ok from ad. Completely misleading. When my husband and I arrive we looked at each other and said we are not staying.here. Had booked it only an hour before. Would not let us cancel, their policy. Completely creepy feeling when we arrived, weird people hanging out. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. We don’t need fancy, but do want somewhat attractive motel in safe and. Comfortable surroundings. Really misleading from ad . Did not even Check into room , really just wanted to leave.
- Cindo (8/5): - It's pretty cool it has a stove and refrigerator, sink. It could be cleaner. You can hear your nextdoor neighbor. For the price it's good 👍
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty the shower didn’t work properly. The staff tried to help the best they could but she was overworked.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was clean and acceptable. No mold no bugs. I did not like that an agent was not present ever. The housekeeper was present. She was very pleasant.
- John (10/5): Relaxing - Sandy takes really good care of you!
- Pedro (10/5): Good review - A pleasent surprise to have stayed at the desert grove
- David (10/5): Perfect - Had everything you could possibly want for a great deal
