Guest Reviews
- Nicole (8/5): - This is a nice looking property with pretty landscaping, and plenty of spaces to be social with other guests. The staff was nice, though office hours are limited. The room had a bed, large dresser, small refrigerator, microwave and bathroom. Two chairs outside each room in front of the cars. I always like to have a table and chairs in my room. The only seating option inside the room, is on the bed. The location is convenient and the bike bath runs right along. There is a coffee and bike shop with rentals close by too.
- VICKI (8/5): - It was nice & clean! The only thing was it smelled musty and the AC was loud. Cute place though
- Z9924MDjohnc (10/5): Wouldn't Stay Anywhere Else! - We have been going to the Retro Resort for several years now and it's always enjoyable. Your host, Rob is the best-always friendly and helpful and makes you feel at home.
We love the beautiful pool and the relaxing "retro"-and not so retro music playing in the background.
The large fire pit with lots of adirondack chairs is a nice way to spend an evening and getting to know other guests.
Give The Saugatuck Retro Resort Motel a try! You won't regret it.

- Bradford (6/5): - Not retro just junky
- Dima (10/5): - Great stay, this was our first time in a motel in over 20 years. Rob’s service is amazing, he helped answer any of our questions and we had a great conversation! Our room was cozy and clean! We didn’t use the pool due to the weather but it looked nice and warm. Would definitely recommend a stay and would come back here again!
- Timothy (10/5): - Great place. Love the small outdoor pool and music. Bossa nova and Sinatra set the mood. Beautiful flowers everywhere.
- Jennifer (10/5): - The motel is set back from the road with lovely wooded, landscape property. Easy check in process and great communication!
- Happiness48483944694 (10/5): A wonderfully welcoming stay! - My wife and I had a few unexpected extra days in the area at the end of our lake trip. We had stayed in the Douglas Beach area and didn't want to leave the Saugatuck area. We saw this charming motel online and knew immediately that it would be a perfect fit, and it was! Rob was absolutely the host with the most! We arrived early in the day from our earlier rental and decided to park the car and take our bikes to Holland. The bike trail was easy to find from Rob's directions and we had lunch by the water before returning to the motel to check in. As soon as we pulled in with our bikes, Rob came up and greeted us by name, it was wonderfully welcoming and friendly. This initial greeting just set the tone for our visit and we felt immediately at home in the Retro Motel. It was wonderful, really just a great visit and we look forward to coming back.
On a technical note, I've never seen a hotel as clean as this one! Window sills, shower, floors, cabinet drawers, etc were all spotless and clean. The hotel has an old retro charm w modern amenities and absolute attention to detail and cleanliness. Rob attended to our every need with a smile and we left feeling like we had made a new friend.

- Vanessa (10/5): - This was a beautiful property in which the owner, Retro Rob, has done everything right to make your stay welcoming and relaxing. The rooms are simple but you have everything you could need and more. And you can use the $1 bus service, the Interurban, to go all over Saugatuck/Douglas.
- G2435DYtoms (10/5): Great place to stay! Best hospitality!! - Just got back from our 3rd trip to Saugatuck, but our first time staying at The Saugatuck Retro Resort Motel. If you're looking for a room at the Ritz, this place isn't for you. If you're looking for a quaint room on quiet grounds, this is the place to stay. The room is small, but very clean. The bed is comfortable and the mini-fridge provides ample space for plenty of drinks. This motel is perfectly located for visiting downtown Saugatuck, Douglas, Holland and Fennville. The best part of staying here is Retro Rob, the manager/owner. Retro Rob might be the coolest guy on the planet! He knows everything there is to know about Saugautck. Where to visit, where to eat, where to grab a drink. The list goes on and on. Not only dos he know all that, but he gives you insight into the places he suggests, or to the places you're thinking about going to. We will definately be visitinig Saugatuck again and we will definately stay at The Saugatuck Retro Resort motel. Thanks Retro Rob, for a great stay!!!
- Guy (10/5): - A delightful re-tooling of an extraordinarily well-sited property—comforting landscaping with big trees. Peaceful and comfortable unit. The fastest check-in ever!
- Missyoung23 (10/5): Perfect Getaway - Saugatuck Retro Resort is the perfect little getaway spot. Retro Rob is a fantastic host. The resort is clean and tidy with a great pool to relax in. Close to town but far enough away to get a break from the crowds. Highly recommend!
- Lisa (8/5): - Comfortable room, however, the loud refrigerator that cycled throughout the night and thin walls caused us to have a less than pleasant night’s sleep.
- mikebC1854GW (10/5): overall review - I had the leasure oof spendin six nights at this resort. We have been coming from the very begining when Rob opened 14 years ago. His hospatality is outstanding. We enjoy the pool and the beach and the area has some terrific restaurants that we love.
The rooms are comfortable and have everything we need.
I look forward to coming back again
- LISA (10/5): - Retro Rob is awesome! He helped us with restaurant recommendations, how to get to the best beaches. We met some great people at the resort bon fire. Had a great time in Saugatuck!!
- danamJ6445GB (10/5): This place is a GEM! - I went on a solo trip to Saugatuck and found this gem! I’ve been to Saugatuck before and stayed at Air B & B’s, but since I was by myself I wanted a more community type feel. The Retro Motel fit my needs to a tee! First, I want the say Rob is the kindest and most gracious host. He just doesn’t hand you a key and that’s the end of it. He helped me to my room, made sure the WiFi was working as I needed to be on a meeting, and he was always accessible . You can tell Rob loves owning the place and takes great care of his guests and of the grounds. The pool was fabulous as it was quite hot when I was there. Plus it gave me a chance to meet new people. The vibe is great as retro music plays from the speakers. There is also a fire pit and an amazing hammock! The serenity of the hammock was my favorite part of the stay. The rooms are very clean and it was as nice to have a mini fridge and microwave. Overall, you get the best hospitality, a retro feel and modern day conveniences. I would not hesitate to book a room and I’m looking forward to a return trip.
- F558JWtamaram (10/5): The Most Relaxing Spot in Michigan! - We just returned from our second visit, and once again, LOVED our 6 days at the Retro Resort! From the French music playing in the courtyard, to the inviting pool, relaxing at the Resort is a no brainer.
Rob is an amazing host; he has clearly invested time and updates to the motel to make our experience one to remember. We stayed in room 8 in 2024 and in room 14 this year- the rustic “retro” rooms are reminiscent of the roadside motel days and are well appointed with refrigerator and microwave and perfect plastic glassware to use at the pool, or while lounging in the Adirondack chairs outside your room. The beds are comfortable, with extra pillows ( yes, I asked and he delivered with a smile!) and you won’t want to leave the room. Temperature in the room is controlled either by the window unit, ceiling fan, or simply open your window to let the cool breeze in. And what to do in the area- Rob will suggest great beaches ( check out the Tunnel Park!) and help with dining options in the area ( Everyday People Café is a must!). Thank you Rob! John and I are counting down to our next visit in August!
- TheSlayer99199 (4/5): Charming Property… But Room 14 Shouldn’t Be Rented - My wife and I booked here last minute for one night while winging it down the west side of the state. The property is genuinely charming; the pool is small but clean, and the water temperature was perfect. We really wanted to love this place... and we did… until we opened the door to the room.
We were hit with a strong musty smell. The wall showed obvious water damage and warping. Honestly, we should have checked out then, but it was late, we were tired, and my wife wanted a swim.
While the room appeared clean (aside from the overwhelming odor), a few other issues stood out:
* Only one bar of soap for both the sink and shower? Same with the shampoo.
* No floor transitions between the tile and laminate...a toe-stubbing hazard. My foot confirms.
* The bed is unusually high. If you're on the shorter side, good luck.
* No chair in the room. So unless you want to sit on the bed to tie your shoes, you're out of luck.
Still, we might’ve chalked it up to a fluke and given the place another shot...until we read the reviews. Several guests had already flagged the musty smell in this room. And yet, it’s still being rented out.
Sorry, Rob, but that’s not just unfortunate...it’s reprehensible. At best it’s neglect. At worst, it’s a health issue.
For anyone else: if you’re okay with the quirks, maybe it’ll work for you. But if you’re handed Room 14, do yourself a favor: hand it back.
- Kristi (10/5): - Nice renovated roadside motel with beautiful property and pool and friendly, informative staff. Rooms are small as old roadside motel rooms are, but nicely furnished and it was quiet when we were there. Would definitely return!
- Mari (10/5): - Great weekend getaway. Loved everything about the Retro Motel, it was clean and comfy, pool is fab, good location but the best part about it was Rob! What a kind, caring soul - the world could use more humans like him!
- gutgsell2301 (10/5): Best vacation spot ever! - This has been our favorite vacation spot for years. We were looking for a place to go to escape the heat from Kentucky and Saugatuck was perfect. The motel is peaceful, has a beautiful setting, and has a wonderful retro feel with the personal service of Rob, the kidney shaped pool with classic and French music, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit in the trees. Everything you could want to do is in Saugatuck – Douglas. You can hike in the morning, return for champagne and lunch by the pool, dinner and shopping in town, sunset at Oval Beach with a root beer float afterwards and a return to the hotel and the fire pit later that night. Thank you, Rob! Leo and Cathy Gutgsell
- Bev013 (10/5): Loved it! - Great motel. Quaint, quiet, peaceful motel in a very pretty setting. We have stayed at several places in Saugatuck, and this was one of my favorites. Great for couples. Pool was great. Beds were comfortable. Will be back. Coffee isn't until 9 so we just got some the night before at the gas station down the road and heated it up in the morning.
- Erin (10/5): - Great customer service and great motel
- melodysC7153GS (10/5): Wedding in the area - I LOVED this motel. It was very clean, great outdoor spaces to sit, and the pool!!! ❤️. I felt like I was walking onto a 70s movies set. I was there for a wedding and recently told friends, I wanted to take a trip there for the purpose of staying at this motel!
- Charles (10/5): - Everything about our stay was wonderful. The surounding grounds was beautiful. I think we loved the pool area and fire pit was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend.
- Chasity (10/5): - We made a last minute decision to go to a festival, there weren’t many options so we jumped and booked our weekend here. I’m so happy we did!! Rob was amazing to work with and gave us some amazing info about the area. The grounds were absolutely stunning, the pool was beautiful and our room was perfect!! We definitely found our new place to get away and relax!! Thank you Rob!!
- globalmozy (10/5): Chilling in the Woods - We really loved our 4 night stay over the 4th of July weekend. The resort is so beautiful and well kept. The pool area was wonderful. Our room was perfect for the two of us with the most comfortable bed. We spent many hours chilling in the pool and at the campfire hanging with all of the great people we met. We will definitely be returning next year. Rob the owner is so nice and always made sure everyone had what they needed. If you are looking for cozy, clean rooms with a relaxing resort feel, look no further than The Saugatuck.
- Michael (4/5): We wanted to love this place... - My wife and I booked here last minute for one night as we were just winging it down the west side of the state. We pulled in and the property is simply charming. The pool is small but clean and the temperature was perfect. We really wanted to love this place...and we did...until we opened the door to the room.
We were hit by a strong musty smell. The wall is warped by water damage. I should have turned around and checked out then...but we were both tired and my wife wanted to swim in the pool.
While the room was clean (outside the strong musty smell), there were some other issues.
1. Only one bar of soap for the bathroom and shower? Only one shampoo?
2. There's about an 1/6 of an inch difference between the floor and the tile at the entryway and into the bath area. There are no transitions between them and this is a safety issue. My toe remembers.
3. The bed is high...if you are short, you're screwed.
4. The rooms are small. A chair would be helpful because again..if you're short and you want to sit somewhere to put on your shoes? You're screwed.
I would have left this alone and written it off as a bad experience and tried this property again...until I read the reviews. Other people have complained about the same musty smell and the room is still being rented out. I'm sorry Rob, but that unconscionable. It's not healthy for anyone to sleep in that room.
If you can tolerate the other issues I mentioned...enjoy. But if you get room 14? Check out!
- Noleman (10/5): Great Stay! - We were only here for one night, but really enjoyed our stay. The property has a “retro feel” to it since it was an old motor lodge built in the 50s originally. The property is beautifully landscaped. The room was very well appointed, and the beds were very comfy. Parking right outside your door so that was a nice plus.
- Daniel (10/5): - Beautiful property. Well maintained.
- G3280YZbillb (10/5): Great Stay. Put a Ring on It! - So I lose my wedding ring somewhere between Detroit and Madison WI. Made some calls when I got home but it was gone…until Rob called me a month later. He had found it in his pool and then offered to immediately overnight it. That’s kind of guy he is.
My friend and I enjoyed our stay there, despite the cold and the rain, in large measure due to the great vibe we shared with others that we met, the location, and the pool (!). And Rob’s great what-to—do, where-to-eat recs, not to mention his attention to our requests, were immediate and spot-on. The Retro Motel draws a friendly community of travelers, many repeat visitors, that just want to kick back and explore the nearby beaches, trails and towns at their own chosen speed. Can’t wait to return.
- Jessica (10/5): LOVE LOVE LOVE - The Retro Resort was everything we were hoping for and more for a little escape. The room was cute and clean, the pool was so nice and refreshing, and the property itself was absolutely beautiful and felt very secluded. Retro Rob very clearly cares about his resort and its guests. We will absolutely be back, and we will be telling all of our family and friends about it! 10/10 *chef’s kiss*
- lisadH5212JY (10/5): Worth the tiny drive - We love the area, and our usual go to Motel (Starlite) was booked so they kindly referred us here. We are so happy they did.
Rob, the owner, is so welcoming and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! Yes, as other reviews mention the rooms aren't big, but it's got all you need. Not to mention clean as a whistle and tastefully decorated.
The pool was perfect and a quiet peaceful setting with a whimsical flare throughout - we loved it and will be back.
Shout out to Starlite for recommending (and they are awesome too)
- Todd (10/5): - Lovely place. Met great people. Close to the water and all the offerings of the town. Rob is awesome. Will be returning next summer.
- Arlene (10/5): Clean and comfortable - It was a no fuss check in and check out. Staff is very friendly. Our rooms is clean and comfortable.
- ccanaday427 (10/5): Choose Here! Can’t Wait To Visit Again! - This was my first trip to Saugatuck, so I really didn’t know what to expect. I’m a hotel snob (annoying to both myself and anyone I travel with). Rob called me and I was immediately set at ease. The charm cannot be captured on camera. Loves: 1. Rob, the owner, is super welcoming. 2. Well thought special touches, like corkscrews, lighters, grills, and morning coffee. 3. The pool is pristine! I’m also a pool snob and owner of a 25k in ground pool. Hard work! No sand, super clean, sparking, well-balanced water! 4. The community fire pit and abundant lounging furniture, firewood, etc. 5. The rooms are 5 star clean, all bedding is washed after every guest, carpet looks new and respected, fridge/freezer, nice furniture, not a cobweb in sight! 6. Upon checkin, Rob points out sights and attractions on a map. 7. Relaxing music all day long on the patio. 8. Rob knows guests by name, as many guests are regular visitors. 9. Comfortable sleeping. Location - a great fit for those who have bikes and want to relax, a short drive to everything. Thank you! I can’t wait to return with my partner and sons this summer.
- Mark (8/5): - fun hotel with friendly staff. Pool is set in the middle of the property and is surrounded by mature trees. Could have done without the Frank Sinatra music playing all day long. Yes, I understand it is a 'retro motel' and that music could be appeopriate but it was a bit much for me.
Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was ok, but would have liked some better pillows. No coffee until 9am - in the office.
Affordable, and beautiful property. Overall a pretty nice motel.

- eilsamj (10/5): Great last minute stay - Quick last minute night stay. Me and my daughter booked 2 hours beforehand . Easy check in and check out . Room was clean and property looked well maintained. We didn’t use. the pool but looked amazing . Coffee by office at 9am. Would love to book again and spend more time .
- Amy (10/5): - Great place!! Girls trip, Loved the vibe of the motel. Great location right off the interstate. Rob gave great recommendations for places to eat and see.
- ForeverYoung1979 (6/5): Room badly in need of a paint job. - The grounds were nice but the room was badly in need of a paint job. The walls had holes all over. Very strange. Also the room was very musty smell that opening windows just wasn’t enough to clear. No restaurant in the premises. No coffee in rooms. Had to wait until 9 am for code to be available in the lobby. Would not recommend.
- aaronpM9190SC (10/5): Paradise within reach of everything - We live in Southern Indiana. For many years we have wanted to go up to Holland , Michigan for the Tulip Festival. For whatever reason we weren’t able to get up there on the timeframe that the Tulips allowed.
We recently purchased a set of E-Bikes. Our son happened to move from Houston to Westfield, Indiana, so we decided to take our bikes up there for a visit. This area, North of Indianapolis, has an extensive network of trails. We spent a few days exploring them. So lo and behold, we were only 3-1/2 hours away from Holland and the Festival was in the middle of the celebration.
We were searching for a place to stay and found this gem! It had opened for the season the week before we arrived so the owners were very busy getting everything ready. It was perfect. There were riding trails directly in front of the entrance that took us to Holland and South Haven, including points in between. Highway 31 was within a quarter mile of it, so we could run into Holland in 10 minutes to get anything. This place is perfect. Try it out. Everything was clean and tidy. Highly recommend it!
- wendy (10/5): - Rob is a fantastic host. Love the vibe here
- Beverly (10/5): - I was going to have a later check-in, Rob called to check on my drive and see how we were and how much longer it was going to be before we were there. He left a local map for us and spent time talking to us to make sure we knew where to go for dinner and had everything we needed. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic! The rooms were cute, very well kept, and very clean. Wonderful place to stay!!
- G3503JPstaceys (10/5): Very nice retro stay - We only stayed one night and it was great. The room was simple but had everything we needed includinga fridge and microwave. There was fun, retro decor and the owner was great. We didn't get to use the pool because it was too early in the season but it looked nice. There was also a fireplace and hammock.
- Megan (8/5): - Very quiet and peaceful
- felicia (6/5): - The resort is on nice grounds in a quiet area. However, it is badly in need of a paint job. The walls had weird holes everywhere. The room was very musty and had an odor that opening windows didn’t help. No maid service. No restaurant or breakfast. No coffee available until 9 am.
- Lisa (10/5): - Such a cute place! I had a great nights sleep on the most comfortable bed!! The host was very helpful and morning coffee was a special bonus!
- Maria (8/5): - Cute little place to stay for the weekend.
- James (10/5): - Just as advertised - clean, newly renovated, gorgeous surrounds, excellent host (Rob).
Room was a typical old-school motel room, renovated in a cool, clean way. Immaculate!
- Kerry (8/5): If you can’t find a hotel.. - For a motel stay, place was very clean and appeared recently updated. Onsite property also clean and kept up. Outdoor sitting area with fire pit. Friendly staff. Would stay there again if needed.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Beautiful , clean and friendly!
- Sheryl (10/5): Charming motel - This is as named a retro motel with modern convenience. Motels are all the rage now so we thought we would try one. I'm glad we chose this one
- Kelly (10/5): - We loved it! Just lovely. Thanks again.
- csuttonKC (10/5): Hidden treat. - First time we tried the Retro Resort and we are thrilled that we did. Rob was awesome, the surroundings were fantastic, accommodations great and the vibe was just what we were after. Met great people by the fire pit and pool. Everything was great. Highly recommend.
- shewhipvh (10/5): The best weekend away - This past weekend was a return trip, we absolutely love this little slice of heaven tucked away off Blue Star Highway! There's a pool at the heart of the property surrounded by a gorgeous oasis of flowers, bushes, ans trees. Lighthearted French music plays and it lends a yesteryear feel to the atmosphere. The rooms are adorable, cozy, everything you need. The owner Rob is the nicest, so friendly and welcoming! We will always stay here if there's availability when in Saugatuck. It's close to every place you could want to go, and if you don't want to go anywhere, you can order food and stay tucked in to the little slice of paradise.
- Melissa (10/5): - Fabulous place to stay the grounds are beautiful the rooms are extremely clean and the pool is perfect. Rob is so friendly and helpful.
- Timothy (10/5): - Love the little pool, the flowers, and the outdoors music playlist with bossa nova, Sinatra, & French favorites
- robinn972 (10/5): Loved it!! - Adorable retro motel! Reminds me of roadside motels my parents would take us! Retro Rob is so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We experienced zero issues during our 4 night stay. Super close to downtown Saugatuck, not far to Holland and beaches. Didn't get in pool but it looked so inviting. Grounds are well-manicured and colorful. Will def be back!! David & Robin from Lebanon IN
- Kristy (10/5): - Great find!
- Richard (8/5): - Well kept motel, very nice property ,pool and firepit area
- N4046NAdenisec (10/5): Great getaway! - Awesome stay at the Retro Motel. Rob was very accommodating, we were running late because of traffic/construction. I called and he said no worries, he would be there. The room was very comfortable, pool was very relaxing, and coffee in the morning was a bonus! The location is perfect, close to everything. My 20 something kids thought it was "pretty cool"! We will definitely visit again!
- timsR1593TY (10/5): Very happy - The Retro Motel is a wonderful place to stay. Completely as advertised. They really fixed it up to fit the name. Cute room and nice outdoor spaces. Pool very clean. Nice wood Adirondack chairs outside your room for morning coffee and evening wine or tea. If you want a shiny new place, not for you. Rob is awesome with personal service.
- Foram (8/5): - We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the property. Only suggestion I have is that towels should be dried for longer. It is not useful or appealing to have damp towels. Or yellowed ones. Also should air out rooms so damp feeling alleviated.
- Anita (6/5): - The bathroom was not updated around the sink. The room was extremely small, room only for the bed and a dresser. The pool was nice but it was the only amenity.
- Annitta (6/5): - It says retro motel but it is located at a trashy trailor park. If i hadn't been with another traveler, i wouldn't have stayed. I didnt feel safe, i almost cried just pulling into the parking spot, i didn't want to get out of my car. It is extremely old. No old charm here, just old. Not returning.
- Annette (10/5): Would stay again - It rained almost the whole time we were there but were surprised to find chairs folded under each bed. We were able to meet in one room to play games. Cute motel with comfortable beds. Appreciated that we could book for one night instead of multiple nights during summer season. Definitely visit the Dairy Dayz down the road. We saw several kids with ice cream cones as big as your face. They had all types of ice cream and reasonable prices.
- Barbara (8/5): - Easy parking. Clean. Beautiful pool area.
- Donna R (10/5): - Was great
- F3454LDjessicak (10/5): Nice place! - The grounds of the Retro Resort are well maintained. The room was clean and comfortable. Rob called us to confirm late check in and gave suggestions for the area. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer or get to use the pool. Hopefully we will be able to return again.
- Zac (10/5): - Very charming and quiet, soft poolside music. would recommend
- David (10/5): - My wife and I liked the landscape, the pool was very refreshing. Retro Rob and the staff were very helpful and polite.
- bgfam (10/5): Charming and comfortable - This charming motel is fun, comfortable and nostalgic. From the sparkling blue pool, the cozy rooms, a family friendly fire pit, and the retro music in the early evening, this is a rare find. The facility is meticulously maintained and beautifully landscaped. Although located on a highway, you hardly notice because of the dozens of old growth trees. We plan to stay here again.
- Karen (10/5): - It was so nice to be out away from the crowds.
- Jeff (10/5): - Small but nice motor lodge.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Cozy - The front counter staff was great, he gave us surrounding area information and a map which were very useful.
The room was cozy, it took a long time for water to heat up and there were no plugs nor charging ports near the bed. The air conditioning unit kept turning itself on-off every few minutes which hindered my sleep.
I'm keeping in mind that this was their 2nd week of opening back up for the season so things may be a bit rough.

The staff (Rob is his name) is just great; he’s accommodating and friendly and he has a good dog and he runs a wonderful establishment. Ira been there since 1955 but nothing is old or worn out. Highest recommendation!

- millieh290 (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Just finished a three-night stay at this motel with a couple of friends and we loved every day and night. Retro Rob was a wonderful host and very accommodating with recommendations and suggestions. The room was very clean and comfortable (especially the beds) with some modern amenities -- hair dryer, microwave, fridge and morning coffee. Will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Saugatuck!
- Bob (10/5): - Quiet, away from town, close to golf course.
- Donald (10/5): - Was perfect for my needs as just needed a quiet place for an event in Holland.
- claudiad132 (10/5): Simple pleasure - We stayed ine night here as part of an end-of-summer getaway and enjoyed a quiet stay. The room was nice and clean, the bed very comfortable, good shower and tasteful decoration, not at all kitschy, but faithful to the motor lodge traditional form. Pretty pool and peaceful atmosphere. Go into town to eat and shop; come here to relax!
- Kyle (10/5): - We had a fantastic time! Perfect weekend getaway from Chicago. We met some really cool people and will definitely be back. Thanks Retro Rob for having such a cool spot. Cheers
- M4655HWjulieg (8/5): Quaint and Cozy - This motel is unlike any other place to stay. Very quaint and cozy. Beds were comfy and very nice shower. In the evenings we enjoyed a great bonfire with other guests. The host Rob is very accommodating and friendly and made sure guests were well taken care of personally. I'm sure if the weather had cooperated, we would have really enjoyed the pool.
- Traci (10/5): - Nice place with a fun atmosphere. Retro Rob was a great host!
- Kristina (6/5): - I thought that I was getting a room with a king sized bed but did not. The only chairs to sit in within the room are lawn chairs. Low water pressure and not enough hot water in the morning to shower comfortably. No morning coffee available until 9 a.m., we had to drive to the gas station. The bed was comfortable, but I probably won't return.
- mari (10/5): - Rob made our staff perfect. It is a warm, relaxing fun place to stay
- Brett (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay. Bed was very comfortable.
- Jeff (10/5): - Secluded and well maintained.
- Daniel (8/5): - Nice setting with good facilities.
- William (6/5): - Room was okay. Very nice pool. Property had large trees and a beautiful park-like area with a nice fire pit and seating for a dozen or so people. Conveniently located a short drive (under 10 minutes) to Saugatuck and Douglas. Lots of things to do nearby.
