- JoyfulJude (10/5): Wonderful owners! - It’s an old building but it was clean and inviting. The owners were wonderful with taking us in near to midnight on the 23rd of December. We had just come out of the ER and blew a beaker using a heater within minutes of arriving. Far from being upset, they were very understanding and accommodating. They gave us a great deal on a 2 night stay and were all together lovely. The room was already warm for a healthy person but for a 70lbs person, it was cold. The bedding was the usual for a hotel but it was a comforting surprise to find real duvets as backup in the drawer! I highly recommend this stay and will be going back if I need a place to stay in WL.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - We should not complain as it was just about the last room available on this busy weekend in Williams Lake. However it is an old motel, the beds were not comfortable, the 'suite' was two rooms hacked together, and the 2 room suite did not flow together. Besides, in one of the other rooms, there was active drug selling going on. The people were nice and trying hard but what we got for the price was too much, even if it was one of the last rooms.

- Kendra (4/5): 1 Towel. 2 Guests. - Upon arrival we were met with okay service, no problems checking in. However, we were asked if we wanted to see the room first, and oh boy we should've. As soon as you get in the room, provided that the key actually works, you open the door to see damaged walls, outdated furniture, and an overall dirty feel. The lifeless mattress had 2 unmatching pillows, one thick and one thin, with some lovely mismatched linens to top it all off. Too add more character to the overall room, the damages on the walls were "repaired" with packing tape, the crown moulding was broken in multiple places, and there were cobwebs in every corner possible. In the bathroom, you are provided 1 towel for 2 guests, a 3/4 full toilet paper roll, and some more damaged walls. If you dare set foot in the dirty shower, the shower has great water pressure, so that's nice. Do you like a cold room to sleep in? If so, this isn't the room for you as the baseboard doesn't turn off, even when set to 0. We felt like we were chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Definitely not worth the price; heck, it's not worth half that cost. Only saving feature is the quiet location.
- ggethin (4/5): Spent one night here - Very basic motel; everything worked (except TV and that was because I couldn't be bothered to figure out the remote), but old and in need of renovations. I didn't mind that so much, but I ended up paying $80 before taxes and the room was only worth - at best - about $50. So it's the value for money that I'm complaining about. The next night I stayed at the Coast Inn for $20 more and had a far better room that included breakfast. no comparison!

- R3626TRamandas (2/5): Literally Appalling - So disappointing, we arrived after a seven hour drive to be welcomed by filthy rooms, bleach splattered bed linen, badly made beds and a disgusting bathroom. Outside each room was a bench with ashtrays screwed down and overflowing with cigarette butts. Only stay here if it's the last room left in town! This is what happened to us because of the forest fires. The most depressing night I've spent in Canada.
- Tattered_Wingz (4/5): Poor Housekeeping - We were forced to stay here due to the wildfires in the area. The price is a little steep for not offering anything more then coffee in the room, for breakfast. The coffee machine in our room looked so nasty we wasnt sure if we wanted to touch it..let alone make coffee in it. The beds were sloppily made. The floors are disgusting. There is so much dust on the baseboards or seems like a different color. They do not clean behind the furniture there are clearly spills behind the night table. The mini fridge was disgusting. I can't imagine the last time it was cleaned. There was a bag ice in the freezer stuck so bad we could hardly get it out to use for our ice packs. Not that you really wanted to use the dirty fridge. But we had no choice. The bathroom at first glance is clean. However upon further inspection you realize the walls floors and ceiling are filthy. The level of cleanliness provided by this motel is severely lacking. My recommendations is pay the extra fee and move on somewhere else. The do offer the worldest smallest shampoo and conditioner and bars of soap. Oh, and our smoke detector was literally laying on top of the entertainment cabniet. Not even useable. So I am shocked they even are still able to be licensed as I read in previous reviews that other rooms have the same issue. The old air conditioner did not even cool off the room after 8 hours it was very sad.. at 35 degrees outside to have a hot sleep.
- redraven2002 (2/5): Shadey business dealer. - My husband booked this hotel a couple nights before we arrived for four adults in a "deluxe" double occupancy room with kitchen. When we got there on August 7, 2017, the man at the desk was spinning a story about a "white woman" who had called to cancel the room. (My husband is not white). Good thing my husband had a record of the confirmation for the room. Since when does a hotel take the word of some random white woman on a telephone when deciding to cancel a room in someone else's name?? When that didn't work, he had another story: there's no power in the rooms!! Which was very puzzling, since we could see lights on in several rooms, including the no vacancy sign. Then this guy tried to say the rate was almost double what our booking said it was. When my husband showed him proof online of our agreed upon rate he backed down. We decided to wait around to see what would happen. While waiting, we checked online for other hotels, because we already had a bad feeling about this one. It turns out that because of the forest fires in the area, every room in the city was booked. Then we realized what was happening. He was trying to get us to leave so he could rent our room for almost double the price! Well, we finally got into the room. The power was working fine, although it took half the night for the air conditioning to cool the room sufficiently enough to sleep. The "deluxe" room had only double sized beds, so kind of small, but that was okay. The bathroom tile on the floor was cracked in many places, and the tub had an awful crusty, rusty colour all around the grout. Anything but deluxe in my opinion. I would definitely not recommend it for anyone but desperate. Only reason I didn't go with a "terrible " rating was because it was reasonably clean.

- G3521BHtomc (2/5): Avoid. - I took the poor reviews on here with a pinch of salt, and stayed here because it was relatively cheap. If the next cheapest place is $10 more, go for that. Highlights in my room included a 2-week old tin of beans in the fridge, most of the lights not working, a smoke detector with battery wires hanging out of it, and a bathroom door stuck in the half-open position. Not clean (cobwebs).
- ChristieB3 (2/5): Dirty Drug Motel rude staff - This motel is filthy, dirt in all corners,drug paraphernalia found under the bed ,cob webs, old stained mattress , nothing is updated wifi is sketchy and the owners are just rude and disrespectful when you go to them with concerns very poor business and no customer service 👎🏽 lakeside motel or Best western are way better options and comparable rates
- CherylW1805 (2/5): Nasty motel - Disgusting dirty carpet linens and towels. Staff who should choose another profession that isn't customer service based. Didn't feel safe there. Faint odour of mould. Spent most of the time away and I wasn't comfortable in the room. It felt damp.
- flaments (6/5): Old time hotel - Stayed one night. Good price. Old old old . new floors so they were clean. Cob webs in corners and old old decor. Fairly quite night. Early morning wake up by someone spitting and coughing outside our door area. New thicker comforter would be nice. I would stay again in a pinch
- CoffeeConisier (8/5): Great Value for the Money - We asked for a quiet room and got #109. It was pleasantly updated with a comfortable bed and modern renovations. You could tell it's an older motel, but at least the room we stayed in, was recently renovated. $96.05 after taxes for queen
- Pixie354 (8/5): Nice clean place to stay - We have stayed here twice now, both times the staff have been very friendly, the rooms have been clean and the rooms comfortable. It could use some updating but it is one of the best value for money places in Williams lake.
- Travels907 (2/5): Spend a little more to get much better accommodations - re Stampeder Motel: This motel is one of the least expensive in Williams Lake and it is pet friendly, but it definitely isn't inexpensive and you'll be amazed at what your money is getting you... gross carpet without padding underneath on an uneven base, old mattresses and linens and pillows, gross feeling towels, exterior doors that don't leave you feeling confident... Wifi is included and the front desk staff is very friendly, but until the owner spends money upgrading the in-room amenities, I suggest spending a little bit more money to get much better accommodations.
