• Dr. Michael (8/5): Traditionelles Haus mit Flair - Die Lage ist ideal, man geht in allenfalls zehn Minuten bequem zum Weißen Haus und ist dementsprechend allen weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten nahe. Eine U-Bahn-Station ist einen Block entfernt. Das - auf für solche Hotels üblichem Niveau ausgestatte - Zimmer hatte schönen Ausblick und war zugleich ruhig. Sehr freundliches Personal. Restaurant zum Frühstück richtig gut, Qualität bei Mittag-/Abendessen eher Durchschnitt. Die Heizung bläst einigermaßen laut.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Loud, Noisy and service is lacking. - We liked the look of the hotel but had a problem and reported it but nothing was done. 1st night - AC unit was extremely loud all night - so we didn't get any sleep that night. Reported it the next day but no response from anyone. It continued to make low noises for the next 4 days. So we got very little sleep. Housekeeper did not leave us water or empty or trash or clean coffee maker. Left a note for housekeeper to leave water - she/he moved the note but didn't leave us any. Called down to concierge to have water delivered and our trash removed. Housekeeper came with water but knew nothing about the trash collection. Just really poor service. No one seemed to care. We got very little sleep in your very noisy room. I cannot recommend your hotel to anyone.

• GHEETA (2/5): - My room was not only small but also clearly in need of some serious cleaning. The bathroom had a noticeable layer of dust that had settled on the surfaces. The sink top showed several stains, hinting at previous spills that hadn’t been cleaned up properly. And to top it off, there was even a bit of hair in the coffee maker, adding to the overall sense of neglect in the room.I will not go back to this hotel nor will I recommend it.

• Knitter2107 (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Had a very pleasant stay on Vacation Club floor. We had a 2 room 2 bath suite which was clean and comfortable, although it was bit underfurnished- there was no bureau to store clothes or curtains on the windows (just translucent shades). The rooms are being redecorated and apparently not quite finished yet. Main issue for us was the dimness of the lighting in the main room. Staff was always helpful and pleasant.

• Bigakd79 (10/5): Relaxing Stay - We stayed a couple of days at this property on the Vacation Club floor. We stayed at this property several years ago when they first became a Pulse property, so we noticed the renovations made since our last visit. The upgrades really are noticeable in a positive way. We know this is a historic hotel but from within your room it is really hard to tell because of the good job they have done. With regards to the staff, everyone we engaged with was very friendly and helpful. We used room service and were very pleased with how they were so willing to adjust things due to food allergies. They only constructive criticism that we had was that we wished the property had more choice of dining and that the hours were not as limited. However, we understand that there are restaurants in the area outside of the hotel, so maybe they do not offer as much because more customers tend to venture out. Also, they no longer offer the buffet breakfast to Platinum and above level customers, but they do provide coffee, pastries, and crossiants. In the evening, they put other snacks out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated all that they did to make our stay a pleasant one. Lastly, the Vacation Club staff on the 7th floor were also great and extremely helpful. We highly recommend this property.
• Andrew (10/5): - We had a great stay at the hotel, the only down side was that we wasn’t allowed a late check (as our flight doesn’t leave till 10.50pm) because we had booked Marriott pulse ( HOTELS.COM) I didn’t realise as I booked it in the UK so it was a very long wait to sit around ready to go the airport as checkout was 12pm. It’s an excellent place to stay to see all the sights Washington D.C has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean, nothing really wrong to say about the hotel and would definitely recommend anyone to stay her
• Denise (10/5): - The Mayflower is a beautiful Hotel. Historical. If you book there try to get a room that doesn't face the street as I hear it can be noisy. Luckily I had an inner room so it was nice and quiet. A/C unit was noisy, so we did turn that on and off. It is only a couple of blocks from the White House, so convenient for sightseeing.
• Raj (6/5): - Five star location three star ambience. No 24 hour room service. One sort of restaurant for such a large and impressive hotel where Churchill stayed and wouldn’t allow even a half hour late checkout. Don’t cater for vegans either.

• Excursion758326 (10/5): A totally positive experience in the beautiful city of Washington DC - The rooms were clean, bright and well maintained. The welcome desk was attended by 2 wonderful and helpful young ladies every morning. The breakfast large variety of muffins, danishes and croissants were much appreciated as was the coffee machine.

• MarcJordan (8/5): Location Location Location, and more.. - My wife and I are owners at several MCVI properties and welcomed the addition of the Pulse concept when it was introduced a few years ago since we don't necessarily like to vacation at spots that offer the full villa experience. As we get older (early 60's), we find ourselves visiting cities more and more and the Pulse fits our lifestyle. Yes they are simply hotel rooms, but they are typically well appointed and in the heart of things. That said, we spent four nights at the Mayflower two weeks ago and wasn't disappointed. We opted for an Executive room, which is a very large one bedroom. The bedroom was huge, but as others have mentioned, a bit sparse. For all of the square footage that the bedroom has to offer, Marriott decided not to place a dresser in it, which meant that my wife and I lived out of our suitcases for our entire stay. Not cool. The rest of the unit consists of a very large living room area and small kitchenette. While it doesn't contain a microwave, there is one available on the floor next to the ice machine. The large, well appointed bathroom's shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The Mayflower is an old hotel in the grand fashion and it sparkles throughout. The location of the Mayflower just can't be beat. Situated near the corner of Connecticut and L Street, it's literally steps away from the Farragut North Metro station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and our favorite was about fifty feet away from the hotel, a French restaurant named Les Desales, on Desales Street. They have a fantastic Happy Hour and their dinner menu was phenomenal. Not terribly far away is Old Ebbitt, where a great meal can be had anytime of day. My wife and I were so impressed by this property that we are offering our children some points to experience it for themselves. Some here have voiced disappointment that their Elite status wasn't honored at this property, which should be expected as it is clearly stated in the program rules that Vacation Club properties do not participate in elite benefits (and never have), whether it's breakfast or late checkout. I'm a lifetime Titanium (2,100+ days) and knew going into this property that I would not be entitled to breakfast in the restaurant. Others have mentioned small rooms, which is to be expected since Pulse properties are in urban areas where space is at a premium. My wife and I have spent at least 40 nights at the Pulse New York and know exactly what to expect in terms of accommodations and service. Others have mentioned the lack of a kitchen, pffft.
• Lyatt17 (6/5): Look elsewhere for luxury and comfort - You check in at the main hotel desk for the Mayflower. We were thanked for our platinum status, however no benefits offered when using MVC. No welcome gift, no club access, no breakfast credit. We were in room718. This has to be the smallest room in the hotel. Also this room is right next to the elevator, so all say and all night you literally hear the elevator if your room is quiet. Fortunately I had ear plugs. Unfortunately my husband did not, so he slept lousy. The room is clean and renovated, however the furnishings are sparse. There is one desk chair to sit on. There was a bench for luggage, which I used to sit on, or the bed. This room had one king bed and no tub. The TV was at the foot of the bed, which made it awkward to watch unless I was laying in bed. I don’t like to lay in bed and watch TV. I find it uncomfortable. For some I’m sure it is fine. The room was dark. Two lights on the wall, and a small desk lamp. No wall art. I felt like I was in a budget hotel. Nothing felt luxurious at all. The bathroom amenities were nothing special either. The bed was comfortable. The room does have a Kuerig single cup coffee maker. Bright at the MVC welcome desk was wonderful. He was helpful and friendly. Parking is $69 a night to valet at the hotel. They do not take oversized vehicles. We were told by Darren they did, and when we got there we were turned away in our F150 pick up truck. There is a parking garage on the side street of the hotel, DeSales St. we paid $70 for two nights and it is literally out the side door of the Mayflower and across the street. Super easy if you want to save a few dollars. I am not sure how the hotel side of this property is, however I would not recommend this MVC property for leisure travel. It was a stark business type of accommodation suited more for a single traveler or people who don’t spend any down time in the room.

• sandrasW7887JU (4/5): Marriott Mayflower Pulse - I am a longtime Marriott timeshare owner, over two decades. We own timeshares at the Timberlodge, Ko Olina, Waiohai, and Palm Desert Villas 2. I am also a titanium elite member, which means at least 75 Marriott stays per year. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience with both timeshare and hotel properties owned by Marriott. I have also stayed at the Pulse properties in SF and San Diego. We checked into the Mayflower Pulse today. When I compare this room to other Marriott Pulses, timeshares, AND Marriott hotels, this property hits well below all marks. First, this is NOT like other Pulses or hotels. Other Marriott pulses and timeshares have silverware, dishes, and microwaves etc, as timeshares are meant for extended stays, unlike hotels. This Pulse has None of the above. It’s a tiny hotel room that lacks even basic hotel, and even motel, features. For example, every hotel I’ve ever stayed in has rudimentary furnishings, like NIGHTSTANDS. I have never stayed in a hotel- I have stayed at literally hundreds of hotels around the world- that didn’t even have nightstands. I measured the space beside the bed and went online and found several nightstands that fit the spaces. It really is quite remarkable that a simple, extremely basic, very affordable detail like a nightstand, something that is found in pretty much every hotel, is not even here. I needed to leave this review so that you can plan accordingly and manage, or lower, your expectations. For saavy travelers, and for those who are looking to use their Marriott timeshare points at a Pulse, don’t use them at this one. The location is good but that is it. The Metro gets you everywhere so you don’t need a “prime” location if you prefer a bigger space and basic features offered in other hotel rooms, like nightstands. The San Francisco Pulse and the San Diego Pulse are fantastic. For this Pulse, save your points and just book a DC hotel. Internet is also not reliable, either, for those needing good access.

• alina12 (8/5): First time at Marriott Club Pulse Mayflower - We are Marriott Vacation Club owners visiting a Club Pulse property for the first time. First impressions are positive: We checked in at 8:30 am and were pleased to learn that there was a room ready on the 7th floor, which is the club pulse floor with complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning and afternoon snacks. There is a concierge station where the friendly staff can provide tour maps and assist with restaurant reservations, etc. The room is a regular hotel room, very recently renovated. In fact, there’s still some construction work going on, but expected to be done this week. The room is sparsely furnished but clean. We were told that some new furniture is pending delivery. Nonetheless, there’s a mini fridge, keurig coffee machine and safe deposit. The location is central to lots of tourist attractions and great restaurants. The hotel itself is historic; we look forward to exploring the building. Check in was friendly and quick. Will update the review at the end of our stay, but so far so good.

• jeffreytN9057ZD (8/5): Kevin helped overcome limitations with our room arrangement and helped with our overall family DC experience. - Only two queen beds for 3 adults was not a great option for us and the hotel did not offer another reasonable affordable option. There was no sofa sleeper or roll out beds. We defaulted to an air mattress that no one was trilled about for three nights. We otherwise met Kevin on the first day and he was helpful with great local info, was always friendly, and he always offered a daily warm greeting and smile. Kevin did his part to help make our experience in DC an overall great family visit.

• W7795VLamyw (2/5): Terrible hotel - The quality of all Marriott Vacation Club properties has gone downhill recently, but this property might be the worst of their collection. Our room was disgusting—dirty, stinky, and dated. The entire building feels dingy.
• LnS2004 (10/5): Great Stay - Our room on the MVC Pulse 7th floor of the Marriott Autograph Mayflower is a lovely, spacious, comfortable, replete with ample closet space, a large TV, a desk, large sofas, and a king size bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room just down the hall from ours was where President Roosevelt made a famous speech decades ago! We found a convenient breakfast place right across the street from the back entrance. And one night we had dinner at Rewind, a short walk from the hotel. On another we walked to the famed Old Ebbitt Inn near the White House. Another things we liked about this historical landmark hotel was its proximity to the Farragut North Metro station with easy access to Union Station and Reagan National, and short distance from many DC attractions. Parking at $63 a day was a bit steep.
• Turnturn02159 (4/5): Time to Refurbish the 7th Floor - All Junior Suites on the Pulse 7th floor are not created equal. They are not the same size, nor have the same amenities. We discovered that truth this time around. The Club Lounge is still not open, so having breakfast at Edgars is a pricey endeavor. Their website says this "property features well-appointed guest rooms and suites that offer guests a blend of modern style and historic elegance." Our smallish suite was neither well appointed, not even a table by the chair or sofa to put a glass on, nor a microwave even though there is a full sized dining room table in the room, and one small closet, and certainly not elegant with tears in the sofa, carpeting that is falling a part and shower doors that don't fully close. The 7th floor was given over to create the Pulse in 2015 it seems it has not be refurbished since then. This could be a great Pulse, it has a perfect location and an excellent hard working staff, if it would live up to its web site description. One new thing? After a number of years of complaints and the pandemic, each room now has a coffee maker.
• cbtex2020 (4/5): Needs a deep clean and refresh. - The hotel rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. The first room (#723) was a tiny corner room that barely fit the bed and a small desk. There was debris on the bedding so I asked to be moved to a different room. The next room (#710) was a normal size but desperately needed a deep cleaning. The zippered mattress cover was unzipped and hanging off the mattress. Instead of removing or rezipping, the sheets were fitted over top of it with the mattress pad hanging out. The upholstered headboard was covered in dust. Shower was grimy and footprints on bathroom floor so clearly had not been mopped. Air conditioner under window extremely loud. Stay somewhere else.
• Gokhale (6/5): Time to restore its past glory - Stayed at Pulse. Lovely hotel with rich history. But basking in its past glory does not make it a great experience. Why are there zero Bonvoy benefits now ? Used to have complimentary breakfast and Club Lounge access. Enough of COVID excuses. Time to restore its glory.

• Disneyfreak67 (6/5): Disappointing rooms but 5 stars for location - We stayed here on MVC points. I wasn’t sure what to expect this is my fourth time staying at a pulse location. I’ve stayed at Miami, Boston and San Diego. This is an awesome location. You are steps away from the metro station. I would study the map because from the airport to the resort gps dropped us off a few blocks away when we could have gone to the closer stop. There are tons of restaurants near by. CVS on the corner. Tatte bakery is a few blocks away. Now for the disappointing things. 1) there is no mini kitchen. The refrigerator is located under the desk which is the opposite side of the room from what I assume is the kitchenette. The kitchenette didn’t even have coffee maker, microwave, paper plates, paper towels, silverware, etc. a huge missed opportunity here. There was a sink, ice bucket and some plastic cups. It was a great dumping ground for your backpack each day. 3) the room desperately needs updating and I don’t mean replace the old with modern furniture but replace the furniture. I was missing a coffee table and a chair from our room. The couch must have been hundred years old and hard as a rock. The mattress needs to be replaced. Just so, you know there is no outdoor space here. There is a concierge desk on the floor of our unit but they weren’t friendly. They didn’t say what they could hel with. I guess, we could figure it, but need more outgoing staff. They had coffee and tea in the lobby from like 6 am to noon. There is a restaurant on the first floor as well. I only rated it a 3 based solely on the room. The location is definitely a 5.

• davidplaster (6/5): Our week in DC at the MVC club pulse - The Staff of the Mayflower hotel were outstanding. However, It was never made clear that the MVC Pulse in DC at the Mayflower was a separate entity from the mayflower hotel itself until after we arrived. The room was new, modern, quiet and comfortable. That said it also did not have a coffee maker, microwave or robes. Downstairs coffee was only available until 1030 AM. My wife was NOT happy (and you know the old saying). Also, the USB chargers in the tables only worked on one of the three and the shower drained slowly (but it did drain). The owner update (sales presentation) was professional and we felt no pressure. The concierge (there was one for the MVC and one for the hotel) were very helpful and professional. Would have been a five star stay if not for the missing items she has come to expect at any Marriott (she is a titanium elite member so a little "spoiled" maybe). The red line DC metro stop is 1/2 block away. We had no need for a car the whole week. Parking seemed HIGH, my wife said $63 a night! The restaurant was quite good and had good service.
• AjayJM (10/5): Luxurious property - This property is very luxurious. The lobby is quite nice and the chandeliers were very nicely laid out. Additionally, the Christmas decorations was quite good. The check-in experience was good, however, the challenge was getting luggage to the room. Since there is almost hardly any parking space, getting the luggage unloaded and then separately park was car was a bit inconvenient. Regardless, the good thing is that the property did advice that we should find a parking spot in advance nearby. We used iparkit to get the parking garage for our stay. Coming back to the hotel, the room was really nice. The two queen beds were very comfortable and the wallpapers were nicely done. The room was really big and spacious. The coat room and bathroom were also quite spacious. This property is quite close to White House (walking distance) and it is convenient to take cabs to visit museums nearby. Overall, a wonderful experience with Marriott Vacation Club property.
• Norm32 (10/5): Location and hotel were amazing - We stayed here February 4th -11th in 2022. The hotel lobby is beautiful marble floors and chandeliers. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Especially Marta and Bobby. The concierge booked us a DC at Dusk tour that picked us up at the Hotel. It was well worth it. Edgar's, the hotel restaurant, has good food and a cozy atmosphere. Must recommend Mari Vanna a restaurant a block away. We enjoyed hanging out on the Mezzanine. Fun fact from a Mezzanine plaque – at the time it was built The Mayflower had more gold leaf than any other building in town. The Metro stop is a block away for easy access. Enjoyed our stay immensely.
• Chi-Ting (8/5): - The Mayflower is a lovely place to stay - a little noisy given its location but not unbearable. However, the thermostat in my room was hidden behind a very large lamp leading to a very cold first night before I found it. Also, it would be nice if the Edgar was open later for late night drinks for those staying in the hotel.
• Peter (10/5): - The Marriott was perfect for what we needed. Great central location with many transport options very close by. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with anything we required. Great place to stay!
• leewins (2/5): Awful visit - First I was dropped at front with two large suitcases while hubby parked car. Nobody offered to help me inside for 10 min. Then a bellhop helped me take both inside the door and he left. I wheeled both to check in desk. Gave me room key and pointed to elev. There were porters standing across room but no offer of assistance. Was told restaurant not open on Sunday. Room is startlingly small. Can hardy maneuver around the bed. Tiny desk chair and no other seating. Cannot exit bath if closet door is open. Cannot understand how this can be a vacation club. No coffee maker. Only one towel bar in bath. Sheets do not fit bed. I am stunned.
• Janet (10/5): Perfect location, comfortable and nice stay. - Easy and efficient check in. Clean in safe environment. Excellent location. Delicious coffee in the lobby. And a good value for the cost.
• Toyia (10/5): - I absolutely loved this property! Staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and had genuinely pleasant demeanors. I ended up checking in around midnight and there were two gentlemen eager to help me get settled. The ONLY complaint I had was valet was $63 per night, for overnight guests. Yes, you read that correctly. I paid $63 to park my car for less than 12 hours. If you’re checking in between Thursday evening and Saturday night, you’ll need to find parking before 7pm or you may be out of luck. You will NOT find street parking and the parking garages will be full. There are multiple clubs within walking distance so the affordable parking will go quickly.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Great property. Marriott timeshare program is being advertised. Whisper hvac replacement program has to be considered by management as they invest in their properties. Definitely a Level 3 property. Thanks for the service.
• 385kristins (10/5): Location is amazing! - We had a fabulous stay. The one bedroom worked well for our two kids. We loved the top level and the views. We got take out and brought it up to the top floor and enjoyed the food with a view. Great helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.
• WCT2021 (4/5): Awful - We stayed for Valentines weekend (2/13/2021 - 2/14/2021). We knew not to expect much b/c of COVID plus the weather was bad in DC. However, the room that they gave us was surprising in that - for a hotel that was maybe 20% full - the room was so small (the bathroom in our house is bigger than the room they gave us). And the room faced a wall. Moreover, the room was dirty; there were water spot stains on the bathroom sink and the table in the room. The last straw was on Sunday AM when we went to the Edgar restaurant to consider breakfast. We asked what was available, and looking for something warm, decided to go elsewhere. We walked by the coffee station on our way out. We later found out that the coffee was complimentary. It would have been nice to be told this - but the person we asked didn't mention it. This hotel may be close to all the sites of interest in DC, but there are plenty of other hotels that likely have better service and are cleaner.
• Pam (10/5): - Our visit was in October 2020 during covid so it was quiet in DC. But the hotel was immaculate, cleaned well, beautiful! Right in the heart of everything. Close to coffee shops and restaurants and monuments. Easily walkable to everything!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Posh lobby, great location, so-so room - Excellent location in DuPont Circle, in a storied, swank and very impressive property. Unfortunately, my room (731) faced an air shaft, with the opposing brick wall just a few feet from my window, and the cleanliness of the room was wanting (the bed looked like it had already been slept in, the desk needed dusting, the shower had mildew).
• Alejandra (8/5): Vacation Club within Traditional Hotel - I did not see any other floor of the Mayflower, so I don't know how the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse floor compares to the others, but I was very impressed. There was a separate coffee/tea station and concierge on the floor for the guests

• George (8/5): Iconic hotel close to metro - Updated iconic hotel. Metro nearby but within walking distance of many sites. Only negatives were low light in bathroom and desk chair not usable for the desk. Room itself was clean and comfortable.

• Vickie (10/5): Fun in DC - My trip was for a White House tour for my daughter and her friend for constantly being Honor Roll students. We had a tour bus pick up and drop off right outside the hotel front door. It made the sightseeing much more enjoyable. The staff was always at the ready to accommodate no matter what it was. I wi definitely stay there again.
• Glen (10/5): Excellent hotel in a great location. - The hotel is excellent, but is run as a hotel within a hotel, so when I needed to extend my stay by two days I could not get any assistance from the front desk. They repeatedly gave me an 800 number to call as opposed to helping me out directly. Ultimately everything worked fine, but when paying $400/night (or more) I did not expect to have to jump through so many hoops to extend my stay.

• Angelus (8/5): Great location, historica hotel, $$$ - Happened to stay here during the nuclear summit. Lots of bigwigs around. The hotel handled it pretty well and the service was prompt and fast. On the other hand, our toilet was dirty and full when we checked into a room. I understand that a hotel in this neighborhood is not going to be cheap during an event, but I expect commensurate room cleanliness.
• Eloy (8/5): Good hotel - The hotel I well located close to metro station and walking distance from some of the most important landmarks in Washington. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The room service is good. The staff is the only downside, we dealt with extremely friendly and kind people but also with others not that friendly. The fitness center is a little bit basic but good enough to workout while there.

• Verified traveler (8/5): No bath tub and lobby was extremely cold - We were pretty happy with our stay other than the lobby area being really cold and when we went to eat in the bar area this was pretty cold too. A lady got locked in the bathroom and we had to listen to loud banging for almost an hour during out meal which was not pleasant.
