• Savannah (8/5): Overall, excellent stay, friendly and helpful staff, tidy and clean rooms. Only downside a bit noisy facing the road. - The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were accommodating to all our needs including asking for a quieter room when we returned from our visit to Isabela. The rooms were spacious, clean and excellent showers. The location was only a stones throw from the town centre making it easy to get around. The first two nights we were in a room facing the back which was very noisy, barking dogs and people shouting in the early hours of the morning. However, after asking for a quieter room we had a great nights sleep.

You can take water and beer on a trust level. Lots of filtered water to fill your bottles. Excellent staff. The pool is unusual. I thought it would be an outdoor one, but mostly for laps.

The honesty bar was a nice way to allow us access to bottled water, beer/wine, and other beverages at anytime. Front desk staff were very helpful in arranging airport transfers and providing information on other island activities.

The taxi driver of the hotel was really nice! Our room seemed to bo clean, but the floor was a little bit sticky. Breakfast is ok, but it could have had more options.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Walking distance to the centre and the entrance to Tortuga Bay. As a Gold member, the free drinks are 2 pouches of small orange juice. My room was cleaned but my sheets were never replaced during my stay. Very helpful receptionist for tour recommendations. I'd say the breakfast was average, one of the days, I remember the supposed hot breakfast to actually be cold. The door of my room was tricky to open and lock.
• Matthew (10/5): - More hostel than hotel, but therein lies the charm. The location is a short walk to everything. The complimentary breakfast is like being at a family members house when they make breakfast for you as a guest. You get what they serve you, but delicious. The staff desires you to be happy above all else. From what I could tell there were two women that did everything, but with a smile and always checking in with to make sure you were satisfied. For the price, it’s excellent! The rooster made sure you were up on time for your tour everyday!

For example, for the daily change of bath towels, the cleaning lady didn’t bang on our door and then enter one second later. Rather, she gently tapped on the door a couple times, waiting for me to answer the door.

No comfortable place to sit and relax. Wifi only worked on common areas, not bedroom. Ants. A bit out of the way. Bad smell.

• Wendy Jo (10/5): - A friend and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Coloma. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quite large, with 3 twin beds. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Filtered water was available in the common areas, along with a pitcher and glasses in our room. Everything was clean and breakfast was good. We left very early for tours two days and were provided with breakfast-to-go. It was a short walk to restaurants, shopping, and the port.
• Dawn (10/5): Convenient, comfortable, friendly - Great hotel, mid-range for Galapagos. The owner is wonderful and is a dentist whose office is attached to the hotel. Either he or staff member was always immediately available. They warned us not to drink tap water and made clean water easily available, delivered to our room every day and available in lobby. He also had drinks and beach towels available for us to borrow or buy, all on the honor system; we definitely felt welcome. Most of the hotel is outside with trees, birds, etc. just outside our room. We had a quiet room until the last day when there was construction due to sudden damage to part of the hotel...totally unforeseen and not a problem for us. The hotel is very convenient and we could walk to the beach, the National Park, Darwin Center and lots of restaurants and shops.

• Jim (6/5): Expectations of a hotel, this is a hostel. - Breakfast staff and one of the front desk team was very friendly and breakfast was good. A pretty good location but wished we were closer to the water. It was not a hotel but a hostel. The bathroom was not clean, light was broken in bathroom, but was fixed immediately. They were working on the facility, painting with no wet paint signs. Put down my bag and all my stuff, got brown paint all over my travel bag.

All the ladies were friendly and helpful with helping us find our way around, giving suggestions of things to do and the area to go eat! The breakfasts were wonderful! They kept a couple of our bags for us for 2 days when we went to Isabela so we didn’t have to take it all! We had to leave before breakfast started and without asking they had a breakfast to go packed and ready for us! These ladies are great!

Honestly the ratings for this hotel date back to 2018 or earlier from what we could see and I would say it lacks investment and has gone down hill considerably The breakfast was skimpy with no choice and honestly not of an acceptable standard. They couldn't even make a slice of toast on request!!! The first room we had had a loud buzz all night and we were unable to identify where is was coming from. It was small and dreadful. They moved us to a better room which was still very dated. The dated patterend bedding on the two beds didn't match. Just thoughtless! There were plugs not properly fitted to the wall. The shelf in the bathroom was so sloping you couldn't put anything on it. This made the bathroom very cramped. There was mold on some of the walls in the breakfast room. Reception was not always attended and some people we saw l had to wait 3 hour to check in. There was no safe in the room or kettle or tea coffee failites and in fact you couldn't get a coffee until you actually went to breakfast. Breakfast is on the second floor and this property is definitely not suitable for people with any mobility difficulties. To be honest if you are young and a back packer you may be happy with this. hotel but not for the price! Sorry but we were very dissapointed with this property.

• Lisa (3/5): Extremely poor value for the money - The receptionist was nice - The room smelled - the first floor room opened up to loud dirty streets - there were inner windows in the room that opened up to the lobby/hallway. The windows has dirty curtains that didn't fully close so people could see us in the room - the sheets were dirty and covered in spots

A few reasons why… first they advertise for serval things that they do not provide like laundry service and bike rental (it’s even written on the wall that they have these services). Additionally, this is advertised as a hotel on Expedia but it’s actually a hostel (the logo on the pillows says “hostal”). Our “King” bed was two twins pushed together. The shower was awful, you either had boiling hot water or ice cold water coming from the shower. Lastly, my wife and I saw two roaches during our stay. One was on the first floor and a couple of days later one in our room! The two good things about this place is the location and the breakfast that they provide.

• Gay (10/5): Great place to stay with a fantastic staff. - Our stay was very good. Room was clean and breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. WiFi was not very good but it really isn’t good unless you are at an expensive restaurant. Water was available to fill our bottles which is a plus since you can’t drink the water. Also there is a bar with decent prices for beer.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and the quietest we had in all of galapagos, despite being in a prime location. All the amenities were fantastic, including the breakfast, the pool and the beverages available on site at any time. Overall, cannot recommend this place enough!!

Staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The nice sitting area outside our room was a little meeting area for a few people who stayed up late chatting and we could hear them.

Offered free clean drinking water in a water cooler in multiple locations. I felt like it was a good value for the money. The pool was not working during our two night stay. It seems like this is pretty common place thing for hotels in the Galapagos to have happen.

Can you hel us book a ferry - no problem, can you help us with laundry - no problem. Comfortable and quiet room. OK breakfast and you can get it at 6 am if you wish. highly recommended Some racks for drying swim suits and beach towels, not available in rooms but we asked to hang it and they did.

• Peter (9/5): Friendly, quirky, great location. - The hotel was located on the main road which goes down to the waterfront where you can join boat trips to most islands. We loved the quirky arty design of the hotel courtyards. The design of the breakfast/dining room on the first floor is amazing. The kitchen bar is designed in the shape of a ship and is called the Beagle! Within the courtyard there are tables to sit at and have a drink. Our room was clean and welcoming with two large single beds. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent with easy walking to the downtown area and pier. Breakfast was good. Staff was outstanding! Super friendly and helpful. Pool wasn’t usable- not heated. But none of the places we stayed at in the Galapagos had heated pools so that may not be a thing. It was not a big deal to us.

• Katja (8/5): Nicely decorated hotel with friendly staff. - The staff was very friendly and helped us find a very nice tour to one of the uninhabited islands right for the next day, when we couldn't find anything with several of the agencies around. Everything went smoothly. On arrival and departure we could store our luggage without problem until ferry departure. The room was basic but clean. The hotel had some very cool decoration. Only one person speaks English. We struggled a bit during checkin and checkout with our limited spanish.

• Michael (10/5): Great value! - The hotel was spotless in a great location. A great value! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely stay there again!
• JuanandVal (10/5): - The hotel is very unique and the owners have put a lot of care into making it feel special. Breakfast was served upstairs in an open-air dining room. It’s not a buffet, they will prepare eggs fresh for you with toast, coffee, and juice. No meat options. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They even allowed us to store our luggage there for a few hours when we had a layover between ferries a couple days later. Genuine hospitality in a comfortable setting. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
• PamD (10/5): - Very cool place! Love the design. Windows of some rooms are shaped like animals, shared kitchen/bar area, small indoor pool, hammocks to hang out and use wi-fi, cool restaurant area for the great free breakfast and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.
• Amber (10/5): Galapagos Trip - The hotel is cute. Was located in a pretty central area in town, close to food/shops/downtown etc. Pool was small, but okay for kids. Breakfast was good. Service was wonderful-even had laundry service available for a small fee-we appreciated this! Beds could be more comfortable. Safe needs updated. Overall it was a great stay and we would stay again :)
