Guest Reviews

- Greg Abler/Kirsten Davis (3/5): Keep looking for othe hotels!!! - Close to where we needed to be for our meetings. The first room we were put in, you could tell that one of the beds had been used and not remade. Very dirty, even the lamp shade had like finger prints of dirt. Very dusty. When we called the front desk to ask to be moved the desk attendant told us one of us needed to go down and get new keys, for a new room. Which was fine, but then he said in quite a jerky tone, "I cant go around hunting for people, so one of you has to come down to the desk." Yes, we got that the first time. We did and the next room was a little better. Huge gauges in the wall from who knows what. The tub was dirty and you all but needed to be am engineer to figure out how to use the shower.
- Larry (1/5): Bad - The breakfast was bad Better breakfast, and staff that cared about the hotel
- Noreen (9/5): Overall good - Location Friendly. Clean No complaints
- emily (4/5): Probably won’t stay there again for awhile.. - Nice n clean Pool is always way too cold nobody can get in it half the time and our room didn’t have heat and it was freezing outside.
- Gina (1/5): Never going back. - It had locks on the door. The room was dirty. There wasn’t an elevator. I was traveling with a baby and was on crutches. I was not able to get a first floor room. Although I’m sure there were plenty of open rooms. Breakfast was technically food. But there wasn’t a clean table nor a choice for continental breakfast. No high chair. The pool was too cold to swim. The pool deck was super slippery. Another guests baby completely shit their swim diaper and no staff was able to clean the disaster. I was happy to have survived a night at this hotel. Stairs were rusty. Carpet was pulled up I wonder if there are plans to demolish this hotel or let it rot to the ground.
- Trina (7/5): -
- Mary (3/5): Not worth it - Location The pool floor is very slippery. There's rusted rafters chucks in pool. Smells like mold throughout and pretty sure they have bed bugs.
- Steele (7/5): It was good. - Location was good. We're only there for 1 night Everything was good. We have no complaints.
- Gerardo (9/5): - The area was nice A little lighting
- Brooke (10/5): Got into town about 3am was a nice quite stop for sleep shower was okay definitely worth what I paid - Quite and very accommodating Nothing

- Christopher (5/5): This place has gone downhill. - Beds were very comfy. Quiet stay. Plenty of privacy. Close to other places. Children's pool option is nice. One room didn't have a comfy chair like the other one. Breakfast was ok but the staff working was literally the grumpiest employee they have. Milk was expired and found a rotten orange the 1st morning. Brought it to the front desk attendant and they acted like it was no big deal. Literally had a coffee area with no coffee. You have to walk all the way out to the lobby. Pool area is like playing Russian roulette. Between having to practically crawl around like a snail to avoid cracking your skull open. Hot tub still broken. Drip buckets everywhere where the roof obviously wasn't fixed correctly. Rust stains. Mildew smell.
- Charles (6/5): Good value for the money. - Room was very large and beds/pillows were comfortable. Room was very clean. Shower could be updated, did not like that we could not adjust the shower head or flow of water. Hallways were dingy and people had left trash on the floors.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Sparks (10/5): -
- James (10/5): Nice and clean rooms nice pool and hot tub good breakfast friendly staff very helpful if you needed help - Location and Clean Nothing
- Monica (7/5): - Location It was fine.
- Nicci (1/5): It was very short due to the unacceptable conditions and when we talked to the person at the desk, he said the manager w - Nothing The heater in the pool room didn’t work, the room smelled, there was rust falling from the ceiling and in the pool, the hot tub didn’t work and the pool heater didn’t work and the bathroom door didn’t close. We left and went to another hotel.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): - People that work there
- Christopher (6/5): - It was quiet. Not very busy. Room was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower. Food at the restaurant/lounge is always really good. Ease of checking in is a big plus. Housekeeping staff very helpful. Hot tub jets weren't working. That pool area floor is a menace. Still baffled at why they took out the safe rocks for and added the death trap they have now. My youngest smacked her head twice and wasn't running. Had literally the worst long island iced tea ever in the lounge. Bartender admitted she didn't know what she was doing . Added wrong ingredients and still charged top shelf prices.
- Roberta (10/5): - Covinenent to where we want to be and the price wasn’t to high. They also let us check in early sure a 18 hr drive. None
- Maretta (8/5): - Na
- Eriberto (10/5): -
- Dan (4/5): - Place was dirty and disgusting. Had a musky smell in hallways.
- Petra (1/5): Stay away - Attendant was very willing to refund our stay. The door leading to the outside from our private room was completely corroded and light from outside streamed in. Bed sheets were dirty (possibly bugs?).
- Jaci (10/5): - My microwave did not work so they went to purchase me a new one. Everyone is always very friendly
- Rebecca (3/5): Our room wasn’t able to be locked. The deadbolt part was missing on the door leading outside. Made i - Our room wasn’t able to be locked. The deadbolt part was missing on the door leading outside. Made it a very hard night with a 2 year old who could open the door. Beds were super hard and pillows too worn down.
- Kenzie (8/5): - You can definitely tell they’re working on the hotel. The wall was paint had been rubbed off from the chair it looked like and the tub had a hole on the outside surround.
The hotel was clean, didn’t have any odd smells, staff was super friendly, my in-laws had an adjoining room which looked very nice and must have had some updates done.
I saw a couple previous reviews about the desk lamp not working—turn on or off the lamp and then click the light switch on the wall. Haha
- Traci (8/5): - The rooms were decent. Clean. The halls and outside areas seems unkept and needing updating.
- Amy (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay—it was clean and comfortable.
- chris (6/5): - Its definitely dated
- Valentin (1/5): Pago extra - Me cobraron extra x una noche mas la cual avía yo pagado cash
- Lonnie (2/5): - Filthy from the top to bottom. Mold in shower.
- Blaine (6/5): - The property is just fine for the price. It's dated, and feels poorly maintained and managed. The staff seemed indifferent to tenant inquiries and needs. We won't stay at the property again.
- Mary (8/5): - It could use a makeover. Casino was dark which made it seem very shady
- Brian (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable beds and the staff was friendly
- Doden (4/5): Not staying there again. - Quiet Place was dirty, especially hallways and entrance. Public bathroom was gross. Poor paint job in room. Broken door latch.
- Charmelle (2/5): - When we checked in there was a used wash rag on the shower Curtin. There is black mold all around the ceiling of the shower which is extremely gross. i truly want a recund for Saturday the 30th.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Updates needed. - The windows in the room have mold around them and cracked with exposed sharp edges. The carpet looks like its never been cleaned. The lamp shades have visible stains, and the headboards look they are completely dirty yet. The pluming in the shower is coming loose, and had to handle with care. The pool area ceiling is falling down and onto the ground and into both the pool and the hottub. There are many areas in the pool area where the carpeted areas are water damaged with what looks like mold growing. People are nice, but the building needs major updates.
- Cassaundra (6/5): - Pool and hottub needs work . Rooms were clean and staff was nice and fixed any problem we had right away .
- Peter (2/5): - This property was run down and had leaks dripping into buckets all over the property.
The door was unlocked and open to our room when we first checked in. The attached restaurant was boarded and had trash all over the parking lot. This was the worst hotel I have ever been to and we actually left town and didn’t even spend the night!
- Robbin (8/5): - Musty smell was hard to get over and the white ceiling tile in bathroom was black. There was rust on the ceiling tile grid.
Limited plug ins.
- Todd (10/5): - All great
- linda (4/5): - The kids pool was really nice. But the tile around the pool area is really slippery. The bathroom stool was in need of being replaced. The tub was really slippery. The room was very humid and damp.
- Tracy (6/5): - Old but clean. Limited breakfast. Staff were friendly
- Talbott (1/5): Never again - Price was right. when we arrived I could see why it was so "affordable". Staff was very wishy washy when asked about issues with our room. I asked for an early check in and got two different responses depending on who I spoke to.
- Michelle (5/5): - The outside door entery to room The floor in room was dirty my grandaughter crawled on floor and knees on her outfit were black all the flip thing to loock your door were broke at around 1130pm someone was trying to get in room after checkout motel charhed my card 10 called asked why the said pet fee I Did not have a pet said they would refund no refund
- Troy (6/5): - It's an old warn down structure that needs a serious makeover. My room was clean, no carpet, just laminate flooring. It's just ok.
- William (8/5): Nice pool - The pool was the reason we choose this Hotel for the granddaughters
- Michelle (7/5): We were only there to sleep and the sleep was good. - The room was clean, updated and we felt safe. There were some tiny frogs in the pool, entrance to our door was kinda sketchy. Breakfast area was gloomy.
- Maggie (6/5): - Restaurant and bar closed. Pool area has mold on all windows. Hall smels of mildew. Room has mold, no air flow as bathroom fan did not work. Sink plugged. Towels and swim suits dont dry because the humidity is not controlled. Breakfast is not good. Powdered eggs, no protein foods. Not staying here again and do not recommend. Wish i could get a refund!
- Brenda (1/5): Gross - Dirty, musty, run-down The pool had frogs, one jet worked on the hot tub, the room was musty and dirty.
- Jeremy (8/5): - Motel just needs an update. Staff great and room was clean. Great price that’s why we stayed there.
- loren (2/5): - no stairs. appeared many empty first floor rooms.
- Victor (6/5): - Both door security locks broken
- Loraine (8/5): -
- Crater (8/5): Wonderful - Pool, and definitely liked the $120 won at the casino!! Long walk to the front desk.
- B (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roberto (10/5): - Our stay was incredible, the staff was wonderful and kind. Would 100% return to this hotel.
- Joseph (4/5): Lots of work to be done. - Shower had lots of black mold on it. Temperature control on shower was non-existent. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Pieces of ceiling and wall flaking onto carpet. Locks on doors broken. Carpet was dirty and stained.
- Yushikea (2/5): - Not what i expected based on internet
- Randall (10/5): - Room was spacious and functional. Overall clean but areas not easily accessible had debris. Hallways were liminally dated making it an interesting experience in itself.
- Lucille (9/5): Superb -
- Kristi (6/5): - The rooms needed updating. There wasn’t coffee available in the breakfast room. The ice machine was broken.
- Jenny (8/5): - It was nice, but the restaurant/bar attached was closed/out of business, the complimentary breakfast was lacking: ran out of coffee, eggs were not so great, the pool area was dirty, and there was no turn-down service to ask for extra pillows or towels. Also, the blankets were itchy. The front desk was very nice and polite. It was a nice stay, the place just needs some TLC.
- Jocelyn (9/5): Superb - Very easy to find and a large choice for restaurants. Nice breakfast
- Shyann (5/5): Passable -
- Jared (6/5): - Staff was good friendly,
Place has some updates but needs alot of updating
Little things like ,vaccum hall ways, have someone pick up all trash around parking lot
Have coffee for breakfast at breakfast area not by front desk
- Marshall (8/5): Very good -
- Eliza (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tadlock (1/5): Disappointed - Bed was musty pool freezing and dirt in it. Hot tub had lots of dirt and debris in it was super itchy Dirty pool and hottub
- Heather (1/5): Bad -
- Mcclaine (4/5): - Hot tub had black crap all over the bottom. And rooms were run down. No lounge
- Heather (5/5): Passable -
- Paul (9/5): great staff, location and breakfast. - help full, friendly staff. comfortable room, decent breakfast
- Brendan (6/5): - The building's age definitely shows. I will make sure to be more proactive next time so I don't end up staying here. We simply needed a bed to sleep in and were in the room for 12 hours, so we weren't bothered by any means. But wow, old building. Very dirty vibes inside and out. Major renovations needed, or just tear the place down. I appreciate the cheap rate at least. Ya get what ya pay for.
- Jan (6/5): - In desperate need of an update.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel is good for the price but could use some TLC-especially with the breakfast. I could rather have a cold choice breakfast that is clean and safe than a hot breakfast that looks unsanitary or not edible.
- tanya (10/5): - 😊
- Leila (3/5): Over paid for what we got. Building and rooms very old. Needs some repairs and paint in places. - Not much. Not impressed with breakfast. No juices. Supply was very low. Eggs and potatoes were cold. No toast or bagels. Very poor for being a Choice hotel.
- tammy (4/5): - My bed had a huge sink hole to sleep in. Breakfast was all gone and very dirty for service area and tables. No fruit, beverages besides milk-I cannot drink milk. Safty an issue too as many of outside doors had broken locks so anyone could come in without their card.
- Dakotahron (5/5): Passable -
- Jayme (4/5): - Not as expected.
- Brent (4/5): Disappointing - Room clean, bed was good
House cleaning did great Breakfast can hardly be considered breakfast. Space for breakfast dirty.
Pool not working
Paint pealing off walls
- Roger (10/5): - Na
- Johnson (5/5): Passable -
- Lynne (4/5): - Older, not well kept
- Stephanie (1/5): Bad - The location was the only thing good about it. The entire hotel gave me really bad vibes.
- Ronda (2/5): - It had a nice big pool area but the ceiling was leaking and falling in. The breakfast room was so dirty - water in the food warmer had been in there for years! Needs an update!
- NATHAN (6/5): - Pool
- Nathan (7/5): For the price point this is a nice stay, better stay than most. - Room was big and smelled fresh yet did not smell like they were trying to cover up anything. Smelled well maintained. Carpet throughout appeared newer and possibly well kept. Staff behind counter was friendly. Pool and hot tub size were nice. The main door to the room shut quietly unlike other high end places that slam shut hard like a prison door and you can hear everyone else coming and going. Not that ive been in prison but what i imagine that noise would be. Check in was easy and the lady behind the counter was nice. The pool flooring could use an epoxy sealer with some texture added for grip on the tiling work. Wrong tile was used in the pool area and is very slippery, very. Hot tub jets did not work but water was perfect temp to relax. However in both the pool and hot tub there was sand or dirt on the bottom. There were also clumps of mud in the pool area on the floor that were there both evenings we visited the pool area. The main lobby area seemed to have the hot oil fryer from the connecting bar vented into the lobby that or the party the evening we checked in was using deep fat fryers in the banquet room. If that smell came from the party in the banquet room and they were using hot oil fryers i would change policy and not allow that in there. Either way the smell lingered for both nights we stayed. The free breakfast was very basic and would have been nicer to have in a heated room that was better lit. Id suggest using the front lobby for breakfast time. The main thing we didnt really like was that hot fryer oil smell. Other than that the room we had could have used some repairs to the glass in one of the windows and the framing could have used some plaster and paint. Oh and the pillows were half the size of a normal pillow which was kind of annoying. And before i forget we ordered pizza and cheese curds for take out from the connecting bar and were given a 30-35min wait time however that time turned into an hour and five minutes. I did get a free beer out of that.
- John (2/5): - Worst breakfast that I've ever had at a hotel. Just terrible. It was obvious that there is absolutely no care about that aspect of service. Free breakfast is an important part of selecting a hotel, especially customers with children. Scrambled eggs, sausage patty, bacon, bisquits and gravy. All cold. No microwave to heat it up. Nothing keeping it warm. Had to go down the hall for a cup of coffee. No cereal or juices. On top of that, had a roach running around my nightstand. I didn't even know that we have roaches in the Dakotas. The staff was pleasant. The place felt secure and well built and quiet.
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Harli (7/5): Good location other than that rundown - It was convenient location to our event The hot tub was broken, the hallways smelled like weed and the breakfast (if you can call it that) was awful
- Jen (4/5): - We had to enter next to the sketchy casino in the hotel. I did not feel safe entering or exiting at night through that door. The key scan in didnt work on the door by the casino bathroom.
Room was stuck in the 1980s. The bath tub with chipping and the ceiling was crumbling.
- Nordstrom (9/5): Superb -
