Le spa très agréable, particulièrement le jacuzzi avec sa dimension végétale. Le restaurant gastronomique ou tout était délicieux avec un chef à l'écoute de sa clientèle. Peut être la déco dans certaines pièces, trop d'animaux mais ça reste une question de goût.

The starred restaurant is an unforgetable experience! Many things to enjoy in the vicinity, including nice walks and visit of Joigny, not to mention all possibilities offered by Burgundy Nothing

Also, the beds, best I ever slept in. Nothing. The only thing I can comment on is the sauna in the spa that was not warm enough. Ruime kamer doch jammer van eerder donker interieur (passé)en voltapijt. Ook geen koffiezetapparaat op de kamer. Wij sliepen in bijgebouw en was letterlijk een ‘bij’gebouw; bij aankomst dacht ik dat het verlaten was. Jammer voor 5sterren.

- Stanleyalb (10/5): Can’t come often enough …. - So, here we are back again …. we can’t seem to stay away. We have visited this hotel on the banks of the Yonne several times, and it never fails to live up to our expectations. The hotel is beautifully situated and the staff are all welcoming. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded - thank you - and our room was well appointed with a large glass covered terrace. There were a couple of things about the design that I might have done differently - a question of taste - but overall it was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our all too brief stay. The breakfast is always delightful - table service instead of the ubiquitous buffet. Wonderful fruit salad, homemade jams and creams, freshly baked viennoiserie. I have to emphasize the quality of our evening meal in the restaurant. We are fortunate to have been able to eat in many restaurants over the years renowned for the quality of their cooking, but in my opinion Cote St Jacques is really at the top. The meal we had was good in every respect - the quality of the ingredients and the cooking, imagination, presentation, portion size, sauces were all delicious. The waiting staff were all professional and we received good advice from the sommelier. Overall, another lovely experience.
- Diebs1 (10/5): A magnificent hotel that lives up to its 5* rating - The Cote Saint-Jacques provides a great location to mix business and pleasure. The staff are ultra-attentive and obliging, the rooms luxurious, the common areas inviting and relaxing, and the food is among the best I have tasted in more than 40 years of global travel. We benefitted greatly from the advice provided by Thomas the sommelier. He took time to explain the origin and production of local wines and introduced us to some outstanding examples - simply delicious!

Still a huge and very nice room, very quiet with lots of amenities. The restaurant is amazing (2 stars) but pricey of course although the lunch menu is a good option. Spa is small but very nice Electrical switches in the room are confusing. to be improved. A bit more frequent renewal of the restaurant menu would be good.

The staff were excellent, attentive and helpful. The room had excellent facilities. The restaurant staff and, obviously, the food were excellent. The only minor criticism is the lack of shelf or drawer space.

Although most guests were dressed informally (as we did due to the end of our holiday), I feel we were judged and treated differently on arrival. The manager did try to make it up at the end but it was a bad impression. Some restaurant staff could be trained better as I’ve had better services in one star restaurants. Luckily the food was delicious and recovered our evening.
