- Jypzy (8/5): - It was a very cool room. I can't remember what it was called, but it had the secret room in it. The hot tub was excellent. As was noted by other guests. You need to call to reserve. We called in the afternoon and were able to get 9:00 spots. It was January, so the pool wasn't open, but it looks like it will be fantastic in the summer. It didn't get much winter sun, so we spent time on the communal patio out front of the home. But the star was really the breakfast. Omg, that was some awesome stuff! I'm going to book a summer weekend right now just to have that breakfast again!

Only thing that would have made it perfect was a pool that was warm enough to swim in. It was freezing! So I could not use. But the hot tub was lovely
- Maria (10/5): - I loved everything about this place and did not want to leave (stayed until checkout time). My room’s (Arbor) door/wall was a sliding glass door with key lock. The room is right above the beachy backyard/pool and had an amazing full view of a forested valley. The 10ish stairs up to door are narrow and kinda steep. Large bathroom, TV, great AC, mini fridge, coffee/tea maker, iron/board, comfy chairs, folding tables. Slept really well both nights. Breakfast (2 for 2 nights) were served right at 9am on sweet patio table and both delish and filling. Sorry, no pic of room but it was spacious and cozy at same time. Total privacy. BnB was always quiet when I walked thru.

Our only regret was not booking another night. Can’t wait to return!!

There was a private entrance to the room with a porch set up with chairs and a table overlooking the unique pool, featuring a waterfall, seating area and built in rock slide. - Angie (8/5): A very nice stay! - Such a great time we had in Coloma, visited the state park then made our way to Bella Vista BnB for the night. It's a quaint and cozy place to stay. Each room is decorated with it's own, unique style, ours was the world adventurer/traveler (I think). We didn't even have to leave our room for breakfast, it was brought up to us in a basket and was very tasty, the perfect amount of food! We met the owners who were wonderful people, so courteous and easy going. The reason I gave a rating of 4 instead of 5 is because of the traffic noise we could hear from the nearby road. Other than that, we had a great stay!

We are already booking our return - We were running late, and I called the owner, and he was so kind to give me his cell number if I had any issues. We were to arrive at about 10/11 pm so he was going to leave the keys at the front door for me. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay but it made it so much more cozy to stay in our room and enjoy the view and sip on some coffee.

- Prisca (10/5): - This place was just at Oasis and very close to the wineries and historic museums. It was a 20 minute drive to downtown Placerville. Some of the wineries have deals for those staying at Bella Vista so that was a wonderful surprise. The views alone were worth the trip. And breakfast was delicious

They have definitely put a lot of love into the house and done a great job with decorating etc. The check in was also very easy and seamless. The room did look clean, however, the sheets definitely need to be updated and there was a slight smell of mold. The breakfast was also a bit disappointing, for one it was served at 9 am which for us personally is way too late but I know that’s just our preference. The ingredients they used for the breakfast were lovely and fresh but it was a very very small serving and with all the reviews raving about the breakfast I think we just expected more.

- Sandra (10/5): - This property is beautiful and well-maintained. Just lovely throughout, and the grounds are wonderful. We saw deer wander through, a resident peacock (but never heard him!), a gorgeous red-shouldered hawk all from our balcony. Each morning at 9:00 they leave a basket outside your door with a lovely breakfast - VERY nice! The only suggestions I might have would be replacing some of the antique/vintage furniture (Buena Vista Suite) with more practical/comfortable items. A nice ruby red love seat and two comfy armchairs would still fit the theme but offer some more comfort to guests. Overall, though, it was a wonderful time away.

Bathrooms are spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast comes in a basket and is elegant and tasty. Proprietors are wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Terrific stay!

- Bailey (9/5): Superb - Loved the quiet getaway and view from our room. The highlight of our trip was eating the picnic basket breakfast and enjoying the view from our balcony. Balcony/stairs seemed a little unsteady- it definitely needs some updates or at least more reinforcing. We were given a list of rules to agree to and sign- but couldn't find a pen anywhere and we didn't bring one. It would be nice to have a pad and pen in the room, just in general.

It was close enough to Apple Hill and the golf course as well as Placerville’s downtown, to enjoy all the area has to offer. Even though we never used it, there is patio furniture with a bug net tent around it! I prefer communal meals when at a bed and breakfast. Room was dusty. Property could use some upkeep.

- staci (8/5): - me and my fiance wanted a nice relaxing weekend away and we love apple hill. we just randomly found this place and loved the views so we booked the monta vista suite. it was roomy and comfy with a fun little surprise. the pool was perfect durring the hot day and the views were to die for. i will say the foliage is a tad over grown from the pictures but other than that we had an amazing time. the cute little breakfast was a perfect starter to our day!!! and we enjoyed the movies and games selection. would 100% stay here again. ot to mention its like a 5 minute drive to the river.

We didn’t use the pool, which was set up to resemble a beachside, but we were thrilled to find a quiet and clean beach by the river on Lotus Street. The breakfasts were well chosen and delicious. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts. Resident peacock! Sandy area out the door posing as a beach (in the middle of wine country?!). Should be paved or landscaped. Sand on shoes not a good idea. Upper rooms accessible by steep stairs. No one helped with bags.

- Michon (10/5): Fantastic, romantic getaway! - We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bella Vista. We were given the wonderful room with a view and outdoor seating. The room was clean and decorated with a European theme. The queen bed was very comfy, and the bathroom easily fit two people. We were delighted with our full breakfast that was brought to our room every morning. And, they turned on the hot tub each night for our use. We felt we had the entire property to ourselves and treated us like royalty. It was late in the season, so the pool was too cold to use. It would have been nice if the fire pit was turned on, but it didn't matter since everything else was perfect!!
- Emily (10/5): Much Needed Getaway - We loved our stay! A couple of notes: the vaulted ceiling and draperies they have up there aren’t being dusted/vacuumed, but if they were we’d have literally nothing to say except how much we loved our stay! Make sure to reserve the pool and spa area!

- Alexa (10/5): - What a nice, hidden gem! We loved our stay, and the pool/relaxation area overlooking the valley was so peaceful. We wish we could have stayed a week! The property is close to several wineries which is very convenient so you don’t have to drive far. Just what we needed for a little getaway! The only issue we had was that we did leave a breakfast allergy recommendation but it wasn’t adhered to. Otherwise everything was easy and we will be back!

- Goddard-clark (9/5): Beautiful, tranquil, relaxing B & B - Beautiful location. Views from our room were stunning. Room was comfortable. We had a very relaxed time. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Kathleen the owner was lovely. Would have like a breakfast menu.

- Jennifer (10/5): - Lovely stay at this bed and breakfast! Gorgeous view of the American River valley and delicious breakfast. Less than 5 minutes' drive from American Whitewater Rafting and the Gold Discovery Museum!
- Lorre (10/5): - This is a beautiful property with beautiful views. The staff was extremely accommodating. The breakfasts were amazing! We especially enjoyed sitting on our balcony and listening to the Peacocks and Pea Hens while taking in the views.
- Muneera (10/5): Beautiful Bed and Breakfast - Beautiful bed and breakfast with spectacular views. Very close to mining museum and downtown Placerville. My room was elegantly furnished, bed super comfortable. Bella Vista feels like you stepped back in time, with modern amenities. I will definitely be back.
- Roxanne (10/5): - Our room was stunning. We walked out our patio door and stepped into a beach, pool, waterfall and incredible views of the valley. We loved our three-day stay. The breakfasts were also delicious and delivered to our door.

- Marcelle (8/5): Lovely place with magnificent view - The landscape was very impressive. The tea and the coffee in the room were excellent. We enjoyed watching the deers from the balcony and the peacocks roaming around. Not being able to turn off the air conditioning which made the room too cool when the outdoor temperature was perfect. Very limited access to internet.

- Wayne (10/5): - From checking to breakfast they didn’t miss a beat . We were notified about the smoke of the continuing fires in advance so we surely did appreciate that . It was surely not as bad as I thought it would be and we had an amazing stay ! My partner and I were celebrating our three year anniversary and we could not have asked for a better spot to celebrate and add to our wonderful memories together.
- Marina (10/5): - We really liked this place. It looked a little bit mysterious as we were almost alone there. Also the place and decoraruons made us feel as the characters of some fiction book or movie))) Unfortunately, the evening of our stay was spoiled by smok from the Mosquito fire. However this was not the owners and keepers fault, on their end everything was great. We loved the pool and breakfast which were the one of the reason that n of choosing this place.

- Holly (8/5): Beautiful Place to Stay - This is a lovely place to stay, with beautiful grounds, outstanding views, lavish accommodations and ample amenities. It would be nice if some sort of breakfast option was available for early risers (9am is a bit late) and if there was a little more flexibility for dietary restrictions.

- Dawn (10/5): Truly Relaxing - Absolutely wonderful stay! So peaceful and relaxing, my Husband and I really needed a getaway. We loved the perfect basket breakfast delivered to our room every morning. The view from the property is breathtaking, overlooking the Coloma Valley and American River. I highly recommend this place for those wanting to truly relax.
