We brought friends to the Friday night seafood buffet and we were disappointed to find that oysters were taken off the raw bar menu. Also disappointed to find out there is no more dessert to go. Seems like a price reduction is in order if the menu items are reduced.

The hotel has a character, it is clean, it has a good bar , and the food is always the best part. They not only have a buffet sitting, but also offer a great menu at the bar in case you want to skip the buffet. Parking is easy and the staff spectacular. While they have less spacious rooms since it is an old hotel, they should modernize their interior without changing their beautiful appearance.

That was above the price posted at booking.com for my trip. At check out I was told that my room bill would be email or text to me and is now 02/15/26 and I'm still waiting. I tried calling and no one answered. I tried emailing and no one responded. Explain why I was charged $108 or refund it. Thanks in advance.

The toilet ran the whole night and it didn't appear to be properly secured to the floor. The bed was quite squeaky also.

David (7/5): Nice accommodation, disappointing breakfast. - Location in the Poconos. It was beautiful. I stayed in a cabin. It was very comfortable. And quiet. Breakfast was a big disappointment. There were only 2 tables with diners at the time. I joined one of them. No wait staff anywhere. It was NOT a buffet. After about 5 minutes I helped myself to coffee. The waitress came out then and said, it’s NOT self service. She’ll bring me coffee. I told her i just couldn’t wait any longer, and id like to keep refilling my cup. She disappeared again. She DID refill for me once, but mostly she was in the kitchen. So I refilled my coffee as needed. She offered to bring me a menu, i told her i just want fruit. She brought me a small bowl with a few pieces of melon cubes. I asked her for some more fruit , she said there’s no more. I expected much more from the Stroudsmoor.

Es wird sehr gut geführt und auf Sauberkeit wird besonders geachtet. Und wen man gern einen muffin vom Frühstück mit auf die Wanderung nehmen möchte so ist dieses kein Problem es wird einem sogar eingepackt. Die buffets und la cate Menüs sind besonders hervor zu heben ! Warnung die Portionen sind sehr groß ;-) Guten Hunger. Die Bar wird früh geschlossen leider dabei ist es schön am Kamin zu verweilen und es wäre schön Getränke bestellen zu können.

I called in advanced, asking for extra towels and extra pillows since we were 3 people and would be coming in at midnight. When we arrived, no one was there to help us and the room was up the hill with no signs and it was quite difficult to find, We had to carry our own luggage, which was not such a big deal, but it would have been nice to know where we were going. Of course, when we got there, there were no extra towels or no extra pillows. The next morning we got up and asked for extra pillows and extra towels and still didn’t get them. it turns out that there were four weddings at this Inn. Well, we ended up going to three of them because there were no signs and nobody knew where any weddings were. We missed half the wedding because we were waiting at a wedding and it turns out we didn’t recognize the groom and the bride, and there were no signs anywhere. We then run out and still can’t find the wedding someone says go up the hill. we go up the hill. Nothing‘s there! Turns out you had to go up the hill and then down the hill. Still no signs anywhere. We finally find someone to help us and we missed part of the event! We were three people in a room and we’re only got two small towels and even this morning when I asked for a towel so I could shower before we left. We still didn’t get a third towel. They said if you get a chance come down to the front desk and you can get a towel. I wasn’t going down wearing pajamas!!Not very classy thing to do.

The manager Toby was the most miserable looking person i ever seen and was extremely unfriendly. Every time you asked her a question she acted like you were bothering her. The only good food was the raw food. All cooked food was overdone and swimming in bad sauces. The prime rib was raw and had to be microwaved. If you do not belong to a weeding party they do not want you there and they show you that. We will spend our money somewhere else were we are appreciated as customers. Will neve go back again.

Hana (6/5): Great location, not so great service and equipment - Location, beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the hotel. Tasty breakfast. Great pool. Our room smelled musty, it was outdated but clean. Restaurant was open from Wednesday til Sunday, Mon and Tue only for breakfast. Breakfast was great but the service was getting worse day by day (in terms of the offer, time, and stuff attitude), the last day we waited for 50 mins to get the breakfast). It was very cold in the restaurant due to strong AC and even they had a beautiful area for sitting outside, it was not possible to be seated there. What I felt like a main shortcoming is that not a single microwave is available for the guests. Even if you have leftovers from the hotel’s own restaurant, it is not possible to heat it anywhere on the next day (which is not great if you have a hungry toddler and don’t want to serve them ice cold spaghetti). People at the front desk were not outright hostile, but kind of cold and unwelcoming. The bikes for rent were not available (they told us there are being fixed now - in the season), but then we discovered 3 decomposing bikes in the “Bikes” shed. Within three day no one came to clean our room (I think it was upon request, which is ok), but it would be nice, at least, to take out the trash and check towels or toilet paper.
Mary (10/5): Excellent and a happy surprise - The property started as an old Inn, which still serves as the main house however they have added multiple private cabins, which is where I stayed. My cabin was clean and comfortable and had a porch that faced the woods. The entire property is very well cared for and is obviously a popular wedding and event location as it has about five separate , gorgeous and rustic chalet like event spaces. I stayed mid week and it was quiet but I learned they always have events booked and are full on the weekends. The breakfast is included and is excellent. On the second night I had dinner at the restaurant inside the main Inn and it was delicious and included a beautiful salad bar and soup. The heated indoor pool and hot tub make the property extra special. Due to the pretty tiles lining it and the cedar plank walls and ceiling I'm guessing it was built in the 1920s however it has been beautifully restored and is well cared for. It's obvious that great care and a lot of hard work go into maintaining and improving the property ( which is on a small mountaintop with its own trail). It's also obvious that they try to make their guests as comfortable as possible. I really enjoyed my stay and would like to return with my family. Nothing, everything was great.

RoseMarie (9/5): Charming - I've been to Stroudsmore more times than I can remember. My family and I have gone there for every holiday buffet and it's always a grand display of everything you desire. The place itself is charming and reminds me of a quaint European village. Just beautiful. The grounds are kept spotless. I remember a time when a dress code was in place for the holiday dinners but times have changed. This time I decided to stay for a few nights at a cottage for relaxation. It was just what I needed. The rooms are older and some need to be updated and a few repairs are needed, but clean and comfortable. I made new friends at the bar while ordering my lunch and at the free breakfast which by the way was delicious. The woman at the front desk we very pleasant and accommodating with my requests. I will be going back.

It was spacious with a balcony, mini frig and coffee maker.The cottages are built on an incline, but there are many other choices if walking uphill is a problem. There is a great indoor pool and exercise room. A sit down breakfast in a lovely dining room is included with fresh fruit cup, muffins, scones, and a menu selection with about 5 choices made to order. Stephanie will definitely keep your coffee cup filled. This place is wonderful for a midweek getaway. Bushkill Falls is not far and antique stores, museums, and just the beauty of the Pocono area. Stroudsmoor is a wedding venue so it is very busy on weekends. Its only an hour from north Jersey. This is a family owned business and the hospitality of everyone we met was warm and welcoming.

Sharon (8/5): Quaint and old fasioned - Very quaint, peaceful and lovely location. Somewhat dated, staff were polite but not friendly. Air conditioning units in windows are very loud in the rooms.

Nandini (6/5): - Stayed at the Inn. It is old, and the wall air conditioning unit had a very bad odor that saturated the bed sheet too. Mentioned this it to the receptionist on check out to look into since I couldn’t sleep all night with the smell. bathroom vent also needs cleaning. Beds are very soft. Bathroom otherwise has newer shower and sink which is adequate. Breakfast was nice and plentiful, more healthy options like oatmeal and avocado would be nice additions. Would stay again after checking room first to ensure AC unit not a problem. Hiking trail was nice. Area is quite and pretty

Diane (9/5): A great and cute place! - What a charming place here! Glad we stayed overnight. Love the tiny and cozy room. The walk in shower was great! The king size bed was very comfortable. The buffet was amazing! All that food was good! I enjoyed walking around the area. Those steps to the first floor weren't good for my husband. He was a trooper, so. No refrigerator in the room. Had to add ice to our cooler.
Kory (7/5): Stroudsmoor Country Inn - Beautiful grounds, accommodations and pool- located right outside Stroudsburg, short drive to restaurants, stores, etc. Associated bakery is very very good. Minor things were irksome such as no microwaves in the rooms and no towels in the pool area (though there are towl return bins?) Biggest complaint though is the staff seemed cold throughout.
Stephanie (10/5): - We had the loveliest time here! After check in we sat and had a drink on our private balcony in the Ledgemere Suites which overlooked the woods as far as we could see. We swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. Our room was spacious and the whirlpool tub was relaxing. We did not want to leave. The bed was very comfortable.
