- Dennis (6/5): - Room was clean and well kept. Didn't have to adjust the room temperature when arrived, it was already nice and cozy. Right on the main street and close to Tim Horton's and other restaurants and fast food places. Easy access from the main road.
- Randall (10/5): - An older building. Only stayed one night but small comfortable room, all that I needed.
- Joseph (8/5): - A good place to stay in St. Paul
- Joseph (10/5): - Very pleasant stay
- Dave (8/5): - Nice place to stay
- Dave (10/5): - Nice place to stay, clean and manager was very accommodating. Will stay here again
- Cheryl (6/5): - You could not turn on the air conditioner at night. Very loud and old.
- Brian (10/5): - This an outstanding little property for the price…I will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends who are thinking of taking in Haying in the 30’s next year.
- Debra (8/5): - It was fine. Nothing special but nothing wrong either.
- elizabethg156 (10/5): Clean, quiet motel. - Exceptionally clean, quiet motel, reasonably priced, and individual at the front desk was considerate. Kitchenette with two-burner cooktop, dishes and pots, fridge. Walking distance from restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.
- Randall (8/5): - Fair value for what I paid
- Chris (10/5): - I am commenting a “motel “. For the price I paid, it was super worth. Chris , the owner is very friendly. He and his team did a great job maintaining the property in very good shape. Lobby is clean and comfortable. Room is equipped well and comfy. Usually I don’t expect much from a motel as long as safe. And it’s unusual I leave my comments. But Woodland Motel is one of the best I ever stay. Thank you Chris and your team.
- Elva (10/5): - Although an older hotel it has been nicely renovated and is very quiet. Only problem was there was no coffee pot in the room
- Randall (8/5): - It is somewhat an older building and its condition was adequately maintained.
What I did not like was that they have to do a better job for snow removal to get at your door.
- Darrell (8/5): - Great option
- Wayne (6/5): - I can not provide a review of this property because we had to cancel our trip to St. Paul, to attend a family funeral, and cancel our reservation at the Woodland Motor Inn because of bad weather and travel condition. I did phone the Inn to advise that we would not need our room and that they could release it if they needed it for someone else.
- Gary (10/5): Very Clean & Comfortable Stay - Fast, friendly and easy check-in. Rooms were spotless clean.
Air conditioning worked great.
Bed was very comfortable.
Super value!
Will stay here again!
- Denis (10/5): - This is a very nice place to stay. It is very clean and well maintained.
- Tenelle (10/5): - Very clean!
- David (8/5): - The facility was easy to find - older but very clean. The bathroom had just been renovated nicely. There was a refrigerator and microwave, but unfortunately, no coffee perk. Would stay again without question.
- SCOTT (6/5): - Clean rooms but very low budget, no iron, board, coffee maker, etc…
- Barbara (10/5): Great place for a stop - It was good, comfy and safe
- Linda (10/5): - Very nice hotel to stay at. Quiet has BBQ to use if you like. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Terry (8/5): one night stay - Room was clean and comfortable for an older facility at a reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This property is immaculately clean and well maintained. I stayed in a room close to the alley and it was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
- Al (6/5): Get what you pay for. - Room was very warm as it is facing west. The air conditioner was quite loud and had a funny odor to it. it would be nice if they had a coffee maker in the rooms and or have coffee up by the desk. There were signs of a continental type breakfast offerings at one time, but none was offered.
- Heather (10/5): - Gorgeous room, friendly staff, well priced. Even let my little dog stay.
- Danno (8/5): - Older motel but very clean.
Close to all amenities
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the property was very quaint and very quiet. Nothing I didn't like
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a good stay at the hotel quite and felt Roomie
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was clean and quiet and the service was orderly and nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Look dated from outside but room are nice and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was fine except that there was no coffee pot in the room. For one of us, it was a minor crisis.
- Loraine (8/5): - Nice room, comfortable beds and friendly staff. As a room with two beds we had two seperate rooms. Bathroom was big and comfortable and looked newly revenavated. Only issue was there was no heat in either room. We were offered a space heater but we did not know or understand that there was no heat. Continental breakfast had a good variety. Would stay again.
- Lori (8/5): - It was good.
- micheletP8188JU (6/5): Basic - Basic but clean accomodations. was close enough to town to walk to a restaurant and basic shopping. was a bit noisy with semi trucks driving by but not the hotels fault. staff was good and attentive. was ok
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is very easy to find. The room was very clean and really attractive. The owners are very considerate and customer oriented.
- Carmen (4/5): Terrible experience - I was very disappointed in the hotel. I did a lot of reading reviews and chose this hotel because of ratings. It appears that someone new has taken over and it is not as well run. The room was musty and smelt old. I went to open a window but there was a note taped on the window to not open it.
The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept in and I was up most of the night unable to get comfortable.
Because we were unable to sleep we went right at 6 for the continental breakfast and some coffee. The lobby was locked so we decided to shower and come back. By the time we returned at 7:10 it was still locked. We rang the bell and the owner came down. My husband asked about breakfast and was told “but it’s the weekend” please note breakfast was posted as from 6-9 with nothing mentioned about the weekend. We handed him our key and left.
- Valerie (10/5): Hidden treasure. - Everything was great except there are no coffee machines in the rooms. I cannot function until I have a coffee so this would be my only disappointment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Older but nice and clean. - It’s an older motel but they have kept up on the maintenance and the room was nice and clean.
- Danielle (8/5): - Very clean. Friendly staff. Happy with the room. Nothing fancy but really just slept and showered there.
- mikayla (8/5): Clean, good location, bedding is outdated. - The location was great. We were in St. Paul for a wedding and everyone in the wedding party and visitors stayed across the street from us and paid an extra $100 a night. It was within walking distance to a lot of different amenities which was convenient. The bathroom was updated. The bedding could use an update. It was clean and comfortable. I would come back and stay again.
- heather (10/5): clean and up to date - very friendly staff, very clean and you could tell it had been recently renovated
- cheryl (8/5): - Upon arrival it appeared that the staff at the desk was not normally the person who would be there. No communication. Waited about ten minutes before another staff came to the front desk to check me in. Otherwise room was good a little dated but clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and quiet - Simple, but comfortable room; very clean; staff very friendly and professional. Would stay again!
- 30sandis (10/5): Nice - Very friendly at the front desk. Rooms were very nice and very clean. The only thing I would recommend is coffee makers in the room.would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay again.
- lscholes (10/5): Very lovely room - With little reviews on the Inn I was a little hesitant to book. The room was lovely, very clean and cozy. Seemed newly renovated and the bathroom had a deep soaker tub. The continental breakfast had enough of a selection to start the day with. I would definitely stay there again.
- travelingpenguin3 (10/5): Great little motel - Spent a night there end of June. Was a bit scared of what I would find but ended up very happy with the room. The bed was comfy, the room very clean and the motel quiet. There is even a bit of breakfast (coffee, toast, bananas and some yogourt). Next time I need a place to sleep in St-Paul I will definitely book there again! I had one double bed in my room and it was perfect for myself. Would also have been big enough for a couple. There is also a very nice suite that my friends ended up getting. The beds are separated by half a wall and there is a kitchenette in there. Perfect for friends that are ok sharing a room but wants a bit of privacy.
- Redfeather17 (10/5): Doing business in St Paul and surrounding area. - Excellent motel. Clean and wonderful hospitality. I highly recommend your stay there, enjoy.
Rooms are clean and the bathroom is geared for convenience. It's in the middle of town and shopping is 2 blocks away.
I stayed for a week and am spending 3 more days on this business trip.
Plenty of parking.
- IrinaVeneli (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - I spent over a week at this motel and would highly recommend it. It is newly renovated, clean, bright and well maintain. The shower is great for tall people and the bathtub is deeper than normal and great to take a bath. The Internet is really good. The owners are wonderful people and go beyond to help and serve the customers.
- chrisandbrian (8/5): Good option! - I stayed here 2 nights as my first choice was fully booked in January and was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, comfortable and good value. The bathroom looked newly renovated and there were new light fixtures and TV which shows the owners are trying to stay competitive and care about the business. There is a microwave and mini fridge in room, no hairdryer though. I had a ground floor room and my only gripe is the early risers who would start their diesel trucks at 5:30 am and let them run for an hour. I would ask for a room on the second floor next time to try and minimize the outside noise. The continental breakfast was great to grab something to go with the usual coffee, tea, muffins, bagels, cereal, juice, fruit...all very fresh. The owners are very accommodating, helpful and generally nice people.
- KimW702 (8/5): Older but upgraded - This is an older motel, but the rooms have been upgraded nicely. Smaller rooms, but you can tell that the owners are trying their best to stay competative in a small town.
Much cheaper than the other "big commercial" hotel in St Paul.
Parking right out front of your room, classic "motel" feel.
Rooms were quiet enough. TV was new and large. (42" Samsung)
Breakfast was an assortment of muffins, toast, juice boxes and limited fruit.
Great place if your on a budget.
