Guest Reviews
- Linda (10/5): - Property is obviously being renovated It ptovided what we needed in an overnight stay. Shower was great!
- Joe F. (2/5): Not worth the money! - No daily maid service, said it was a Lodge, not a motel, had to ask for towels, room was dirty, A/C very old, TV very small, new owners not unfriendly, but the web site did not indicate no Maid service, the morning Breakfast was a couple of very small plastic wrapped pastries, the bar was the focal point - for drinks or watching sports, right next to the main highway… Very Disappointed!
- Wendy (8/5): - Good option in the area.
- Ann (10/5): - This motel is now called Okobogi inn, i think. The room we stayed in was way better than i expected considering the other reviews. Its under new management with a name and there' been some obvious renovations. Had a nice little bar and close to both Spirit lake and Okobogi lakes. The price was high, but way less than the other places that were all booked up anyway. I would recommend this for a weekend stay if you're traveling to go fishing and don't care about all the Foo Foo.
- Sandy (10/5): - Loved our room and the bar!
- Bonnie (4/5): - Room was damp and musty smelling. King size bed was hard as a rock. Woke up once I finally slept in pain. Noisy inside because of air unit and air dehumidifier which really didn't help.
- Christopher (4/5): - It is in owner transition and needs updating from terrible conditions. So sad that I spent $200 a night fir a room with no amenities—nit even a coffee pot.
- Patty (10/5): - We have stayed here several times & always come back when we are in the area visiting our son!
- Cheryl (8/5): - I need to park outside my door and this property allows that. The lady working the front desk was quite cheerful and friendly.
- Luke (8/5): - Good location and decent price
- Steve (10/5): - Great place! Stayed there 4 years in a row. Very close to lake and boat ramp. With a fridge and a microwave never had to go out to eat. Breakfast is pretty good, too. More than just muffins and coffee.
- Beverly (10/5): - Nice clean room. Nothing fancy. Needs more electrical outlets.
- Michelle (8/5): - A lot of renovations, new roof, bathrooms redone...still didn't look like online pictures but would stay again
- Carey (10/5): - My stay here was great. I was there to enjoy my favorite place. Okoboji and also support some friends who were playing music up there. So my hotel time was literally just to sleep, I would choose this place again because it had just what I needed. A nice, comfortable , clean place to sleep. Also, from the moment I checked in to check out, anytime I saw the lovely lady at the front desk, she was just as friendly as can be and always smiling. She was great. Thank you!
- Craig (10/5): Nice place - Good place to stay around the lakes
- judy (10/5): - It was good for event we were attending. Flee market at Vicks.
- Brenda (8/5): - Rustic. Look with. Wood paneling in room and comfortable bed. They have updated. Bathroom and have microwave and fridge. Oets are allowed.
- Dana (10/5): - Always enjoy staying here

- Delana (8/5): - Hotel was very
- Ronald (8/5): - The price was low for this area in mid-summer.
- Randy (10/5): - Great value, easy access, 5 min from busy traffic area
- Nancy H (8/5): - For an older hotel it was kept very nice and very clean. A little pricey for the area. But overall stay was nice.
- Marlys (8/5): - The property reminded me of staying in a log cabin- a little rustic but comfy.
- Cynthia (10/5): Winter games 2022 - Stay here every year for Winter games, older motel but rooms always clean and staff very friendly.
- Dana (10/5): - Excellent location to the lakes and nice fish cleaning area
- Dana (8/5): - Close to ramps and love the fish cleaning shack
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very quaint!❤
- Paul (8/5): Adequate for price - One night; played golf that day and next day.
Adequate for the price.
- Terry (10/5): Great motel - This was my second stay at this motel and I would defiantly stay here again when I come through. The staff is great and the rooms are clean
- Connie R (8/5): - Owners are friendly, quite setting
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a nice room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - They could add some more items to their continentsl breakfast but what was there was fresh and good.
- John (8/5): Clean and attentive - It was a basic motel, clean with comfortable bed. A bit far away from everything. There were a few old picnic tables out back under trees with a BBQ grill. Requested ice, and got handed a prepackaged bag of ice from the front desk. They asked every day if we needed towels or anything. Very friendly. We would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Our unit was on the second floor. The wood was rotten, deck/balcony in complete disrepair and threatening to fall off. Our room was basic, no coffee pot, garbage left in shower and no tissues. Staff at check in did not ask for id, feedback or interact w us even during check in and check out. Grounds were unkempt and unsafe. We tried to find an alternative but we're unsuccessful, unfortunately.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I LIKED THAT WE WERE ON THE BACK SIDE ON THE BOTTOM, NICE AND PEACEFUL OUT THERE :)
- Patricia (10/5): Winter Games Stay - We always stay at Northland Inn for Winter Games and have never felt disappointed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good experience, nice overnight room. Staff is nice and polite
- Rebecca (10/5): Decent place - It was a nice place for the price, nothing fancy. We were ice fishing at Spirit Lake so we didn't need anything super nice for the little time we were in the room just sleeping. The fish cleaning shed was a bonus for us.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very quaint . Breakfast is a little debbie type pastry style
- Jean (8/5): Quaint, a bit rustic and comfortable - Quaint and kind of rustic place. Had the comforts of home and comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean room and quiet. We stayed on the opposite side of the road, the back side of the building as recommended by another traveler. Front desk very, very helpful. Will stay there again when in the area.
- Jim (8/5): - The hotel was close to Okoboji and room was ok. Hotel is close to an busy intersection but didn’t seem to matter getting our rest.
