Guest Reviews
- Stephane (5/5): - The rooms are dark, no balcony Location
- 355reginen (10/5): Good deal! - Good deal! The room is so spacious and is near around convenience store and local eats! Hotel staff always smiling and greeting! :)
- Eva (8/5): -
- William J (9/5): Great - Great location great staff nice rooms A lot of construction nearby. Noisy from time to time
- Guest (9/5): Well located, convenient, and comfortable stay - Hotel is at the very center of the city. Lots of things close by like Central Market, National Museum, Royal Palace, etc. Convenience store also close by for any situation. Easy access to trikes. The property doesn't have lifts/elevators to go up and down. However, staff assist you with handling of luggage up & down.
- Marinet (6/5): -
- AlC810 (6/5): A Mixed Bag - I guess the location is pretty decent and it's a pretty new, modern building.
But the lack of elevator will affect you if you are higher than the 2nd floor - its a big climb.
My room literally had no natural light at all, the whole building is very dark & dim, including the reception area. I had to navigate the stairs just to check the weather LOL.
There is a major construction happening across the road that runs seven days a week and you can clearly hear it.
Rooms are spacious, WiFi was a bit inconvenient dropping in & out which was a bit frustrating.
Staff seemed nice.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (7/5): Okay place for okay price! - Was an okay stay for an okay price at an okay environment. Short distance from main attractions and markets. Staff was helpful but could have been better. For a good priced accomodation it will do and is good enough. Lights out in the main entrance looks a bit shady. Weird sounds in the room at night made me feel very uncomfortable but could have been just the wooden floors. Although i never had this at other places. The staff operates to make money , not to be of service. So if you want someone to advice you / guide or help carrying luggage to the top floor, this is not your kind of stay.
Breakfast was non existent while booking.com said it would be. Not sure if a error in the website or thats just how they advertise. But it will definitely do for a day or two.
- Brent (10/5): - Fantastic stay, the only complaint i could say. Is for us older people, a lift would have been nice.
Apart from that 100% .
- Liam (8/5): My go to when I'm in PP - Brilliant staff. Lovely place. Really good location. No lift. So try and get a room on the first couple of floors.
- Felix (9/5): Superb -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ngolab (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (7/5): Good - No lift.
- Jordan (7/5): Good - The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was big and spacious The air conditioning was very weak. The bathroom door was only a curtain. There was something wrong with the electricity so every now and then it would flicker on and off (restarting the air-conditioning which was already substandard)
- Liam (10/5): Well worth its money and one of the nicest places I've stayed in PP - Can't recommend this hotel enough! Lovely boutique hotel. Immaculate rooms with really nice little touches like the satin dressing gowns. The staff are super friendly. The location really good. No elevator. So if you have a floor at the top then it can be a little bit of a pain with luggage etc..
- K (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (4/5): Very disappointing - Staff were the best part of this hotel. Helpful, polite and friendly. Super people Bed was constantly over run with ants even though sheets were changed every day. No lift. This makes it difficult if you are in and out of the hotel a few times each day. Also owners state that a cancellation will mean the full amount has to be paid, even if you cancel after one night because of good reasons. This is unfair. Fully stocked bar and hotel restaurant are not operational, there only for show. Very disappointing. No breakfast either.
- Paul (10/5): - Convenient location and friendly staff. Only warning is there is not an elevator, and there are rooms up four flights of stairs.
- Marko (10/5): Exceptional - Good place good position in city All was good
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- Abbas (7/5): Good -
- 3612 (8/5): Nice hotel but many stairs. - It's a very nice hotel with a good situation in central Phnom Pen. The staff was very professional and helpful. The room was nice and well equipped with everything you need. I even had a small balcony. The bed was comfortable so I slept very good. Unfortunately at the fourth floor without elevator. But it was a good exercise....
- Ryan (7/5): Stylish room, great location - Nice room.. spacious and had a balcony too. Room was cool and stylish.. Comfy bed and decent shower. WiFi and TV did not work throughout my stay there.
- Derek (7/5): Good - Wifi didn't work. Tv didn't work. HWS didn't work
4th floor was a long climb
- Imogen (7/5): Good - Hotel was well situated and clean throughout No lifts and they weren’t able to fulfil the request of a lower floor room
- Mitja (7/5): A perfectly adequate hotel - The location was convenient.
The receptionist was pretty nice and arranged a good driver to take us to rhe Khmer Rouge sights..
The place had a pleasant smell of wood and incense. There was no elevator. I generalky avoid them as walking is healthy, but my partner has a mobility impairment and would appreciate an elevator.
The air conditioner remote was a bit finnicky.
There was no breakfast.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Great little guesthouse in a great location. The rooms are very nice.
- Jacqui (9/5): Hotel was in a good position. Staff were very helpful - Was very clean, air conditioning worked very well. There was no lift so ask for lower level if stairs are a problem
- Passenger32555959854 (10/5): Quiet and good location - I had a right place for my family trip to Phnom Penh, it located next to river site, royal palace, and night market. We can walked around that areas, at night it was quiet to sleep. My family and I were happy to stay here because it was easy to walk to see shop, supper market. we will come here again.
- Paola (9/5): Good time nice stay - Closed to the center, welcoming, cleanless. Nothing
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Binh (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (9/5): Recommend to all! Great value and location ! - Nothing to dislike about "Vacation Boutique". Great value for money, clean room, very helpful staff and a good location..5 minute walk to the Mekong River and tuk tuks available always. Description on " Booking.com" :exactly how I found it. No hesitation to stay again . Highly recommend to all. Nothing to comment on anything disliked. ( Not common to be able to say that, but a true evaluation ).
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (8/5): I great location and kind staff. - The staff were very friendly, and the room was kept nice and clean. The AC worked really well, which was absolutely needed considering the heat outside. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The signs on the room still advertise a time for breakfast, but apparently, breakfast has been canceled since COVID-19.
I don't know if I'm just dumb and couldn't figure it out or if the showers were just like that, but I could never make the showers any hotter than barely lukewarm.
- Amanda (1/5): Bad - Central location. Our room was at the front which overlooked a construction site with work being carried out all night. We do know that this was not the fault of the hotel but, they should not book these rooms out without giving you the option.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fair - Nice location, but to noisy due front street construction. Bathroom needs renovation.
- Louise (7/5): Good value for money - Wonderful location, good value for money, friendly staff & spacious room. The traffic noise outside is quite loud at night ... though I think there were road works going on during our stay so unlikely this loud all the time
- Dekarus (9/5): Superb -
- William (9/5): Superb -
- James (8/5): Nicer than expected! - The hotel was much nicer than expected. Our family room was really quite nice. Unfortunately our room was on the fourth floor, not ideal with small children, and there’s no lift but the staff were really helpful with our bags.
- Mandy (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. - Location We were on the third floor without a lift and it was dark in the stairwell.
- Kevin (9/5): Would definitely stay here again. - Clean spacious rooms with working TV.
Friendly helpful staff. Good location but quiet close to the red light area. Electric shower wasn’t brilliant and no lift.
- Yeonjun (7/5): Good - Good location
Kind staffs Wifi was too slow. Need to upgrade wifi capacity.
Bath drain hole should be cleaned. Water doen't come out.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - Huge room, bath, room cleaned every day, staff were lovely and guy on reception would always say hello and be happy to help with anything. Lots of stairs, small bugs in the room all over the kettle so we couldnt use it
- Annamae (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (6/5): Great location but fell at every other hurdle. - Location Bed very uncomfortable
No lift
Poor Wi-Fi
No kitchen or restaurant
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Lorraine (7/5): Not worth the money charged. - The balcony was lovely to sit on in the evening and bed was comfy. No elevators, and no offer to help with bags (I ended up helping an elderly guest who was struggling whilst staff stood there). Quite dark and dreary with decor showing very extreme signs of wear. I booked a luxury suite as a treat and very disappointed - chipped paint and woodwork, etc. one thing to note is that there is a bath but no taps so you can’t fill in unless using shower head which takes ages. The shower wasn’t working as knob was not attached - staff did fix and said it happens all the time and just to put it back on if it happens again. Would have thought they would fix it permanently rather than guests having to do.
- PETER (6/5): - Good location in noisy area but everything worked
- Sammy (8/5): Very good - It was a nice place to stay and good value for money. It was a good location with a short walk from the river and central market. Tuk Tuk driver from the hotel was a legend. Wifi was slow and there were only stairs to the top floor and no lifts.
- Katarina (9/5): Would recommend for location - Great location and fantastic staff! It was very loud from the street and construction outside. Also no elevator if you have heavy bags something to think about
- Philip (6/5): Once the building stops it will be amazing - The location was fantastic They are building a new skyscraper across the road and they work 24 hours a day. At night it is very noisy and it doesn't stop.
- De (1/5): Our terrible experience at Vacation Boutique Hotel - The location. The rooms were smelly and extremely run down. The toilet is seperated from the room with a curtain. There was no lift and the staff downstairs was unwilling to assist with luggage bags.
- Timothy (4/5): Passable. - Location was good. Extremely dark inside. My room had no window although I booked a deluxe room. The smell from the drains was awful. Noise from other guests and construction site opposite was a real nuisance.
- Jayakumar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chhoeun (9/5): Superb -
- Aussietraveller (7/5): Good for a lower cost accommodation. Bed was very hard but otherwise served the purpose. -
- Abbas (10/5): It was a superb experience! - The Staff is amazing. They respond instantaneously to your request and help with whatever demand.
They are always cheerful and ready to assist.
The location is the best where you are at a walking distance of everything ( restaurants, clubs, markets, river, etc…) The light in the rooms is dim and needed to be as bright as the other hotels.
- Stéphane (9/5): Superb - Comfortable room, staff very welcoming.
- Esgain (9/5): Superb -
- Alfredtay (9/5): Superb -
- Alfredtay (9/5): Superb -
- Sokkhoun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Troutman (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (9/5): Great value for money, building has lots of character, staff very friendly. - Nice old building with wooden floors. Location was great, easy to walk everywhere, and next to an excellent coffee shop. Although functional, the shower head could be better fitted to avoid comedy moments of water spraying everywhere!
- Yasmin (10/5): Exceptional - I truly liked everything! From the receptionist to the cleanness of the room. The room was very comfortable and I also liked the style of the boutique hotel.
No lift in this hotel, but when you are healthy enough to go by steps, then would not be a big issue to stay in this hotel...Also I love the small details - the lit candle in the bath room. It smelt so good and kinda relaxing. I never had that before in a hotel room...Thank you so much once again for everything!! Now I have a favourite hotel in Phnom Penh!!! :-))) That I could not stayed longer haha!
- Dermot (7/5): Very noisy building site opposite 24/7 - Very attractive little hotel and beautiful big room and would have been a 9/10 but…. Kept awake through the night by the 24/7 building site opposite (on arrival i was told i had been ‘upgraded’ to a larger room for some unclear reason - i think the noisy building site opposite may have been why)
- Nicole (2/5): - My husband and I got back from a two week trip to Vietnam and Cambodia and this was the worst place we checked into. Upon arrival, the receptionist wanted us to do the work for him and tell him the type of room we booked instead of looking it up. Then, once we got to the room, there was no door for the bathroom. It was just a curtain. The walls were cracked. The whole room looked dirty and there were grease stains on the headboard. We went down for a bit to grab a drink at 8 pm and they told us the restaurant was closed and they couldn’t serve us a drink. We left, came back, saw the room again and decided to book another hotel and leave. Also, when we were in the room the ac did not work for the hour that we were in there. I have no idea why this property was listed as a four star hotel, as it definitely is not one. I also attempted to contact hotel management and they were unresponsive.
- Gianni (8/5): Very good -
- Michel (10/5): Great value - Well located near the riverside and royal palace. The room was clean and the staff is very friendly. I recommend
- Seoketsa (10/5): It was just okay - Near to my destination Building outside, building the whole night. Making a lot of noise.
No kitchen or microwave in the hotel
- Venktesh (7/5): Good - The location was close to the night market and a few km away from the genocide museum. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We hired a tuktuk and went around for sight seeing. Our tuktuk driver Mr.Leang was an awesome chap so full of energy and we thoroughly enjoyed the ride with him. The hotel staff could have been more friendly. We were charged extra for early check in. The hotel does not have a lift, hence those who cannot climb stairs might find it difficult.
- Graeme (6/5): A good relaxing oasis on a very hot humid day. - Location, old world small boutique French colonial style hotel in the heart of markets, nightlife & 10min walk to Mekong Riverside. Easy 10mins walk from bus stops. Great location with tuk tuks at the door to airport (40m) & Genocide Museum (15m) better than taxi. AirConditioning needed attention and they promptly got in serviceman. We were on 4th floor with no elevator or air conditioning in open stairwell - each flight of stairs has 27 steps per floor that’s 108 steps up to level 4 and our room another 108 down several times per day. Concierge needs a geography lesson as couldn’t point out accurately tourist locations on the map they supply at reception. Seemed more interested in completing his paperwork than offering help how to get places. Find your own tuk tuk as cheaper than through reception.
- Ping (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (8/5): Great value hotel in good location with nice decor. - Very good value hotel within a short walk of french quarter. Sort of on the edge of the action. Comfy beds. Nice interior decor. Staff are v helpful Small gripe was building works in the street but most of time didn't bother me. Id still stay here again in future.
- Mathew (8/5): Very good -
- Harsh (1/5): Midnigt building construction (next 3-4 yrs) opposite to the hotel will ensure you dont sleep - Hotel was nightmare for us, firstly they said they upgraded our reservation to top floor later we found out that there was huge construction project going opposite to hotel which operates during night time 12am to 7am ensuring no one can sleep as window are also old with no sound proofing. When we confronted the hotel staff they said we know we cannot do anything now, When we asked to move us back to our original room hoping the noise would be less we were told that other guest was moved there before we checked in because of the same problem, later when we met other guest they just check out as they could not bare the noise as the windows are old and do not lock completely.Further the room of the hotel is made of plastic shed making leaking noise as a addition. We couldn't sleep at all till 3 and decided to leave for the airport 7 hours early hoping we could nap on benches there. Worst experience in our 16 days trip across 2 countries 7 hotel. No lift had to drag our luggage all the way till 4th floor with bare minimum lights as hotel keeps them off for due electricity inverters installed
- Khin (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (4/5): Disappointing - Close to River Side Extremely noisy due to construction work outside. Walls very thin and beds extremely hard
- Khin (9/5): Superb - Location is perfect . All staffs are kind and helpful. Balcony room is very nice.
- Newaz (8/5): Great budget cozy stay - Great cozy room! Very dim light at lobby for no apparent reason
- Brian (10/5): A very pleasant experience , good location , good value ! - The staff are very friendly and helpful , good location , close to all the activity on street 136 , the riverfront area , as well as the central market !
- Amy (3/5): Poor - The room was nice and in a reasonable area When we were leaving, we were accused of breaking a glass water jug and were charged a ridiculous price for it. The jug had water in it, so we put it in the fridge so that we had cold water. Upon leaving, they said you can't put them in the fridge because they break. They already knew this. There is no note, and they did not mention it beforehand, although they knew instantly how much to charge for it as though it has happened many times before. This experience ruined our whole stay!
- yeyintrai (10/5): Nice location, unique living style - We stayed there from 11th September 2024- 20th September 2024.
Hotel is unique and actual boutique living style. We reserved a room from booking.com site. One suggest to choice the room with balcony coz it’s more comfort to stay and see the panoramic view.
Staffs are friendly and kind, they always greets us with smile.
Hotel business center also good to work.
Location is one of the strength of this hotel.
We got a nice stay experience.
- Khin (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (10/5): Hidden gem in the centre of phnom pen - We loved the modern feel to this hotel! The staff were so friendly and the location is brilliant. The large double bed was super comfy. There were some stains on the wall underneath the mirror, but perhaps this is paint.
- Madison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ye (7/5): Good -
- Lin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shunta (8/5): Very good - Good location, good price
- Philippa (7/5): Nice hotel, good value for money - Nice hotel. Friendly staff Wifi connection was not the best and I was unable to teach online
- Douglas (5/5): Hotel trying very hard to live up to its naming image, but overall disappointing. - Obviously a big effort and expense had been made to try and create a 'boutique/trendy' style of accomodation. Staff were certainly friendly. Location was quite good, just far enough away from the bustling noisy nightlife area, but close enough to access the vibrant riverfront. Some 'basics' had been overlooked. There was no cupboard or drawers in my 'stylish' room to put my clothes/belongings and as I was staying a week, so this 'living out of a suitcase' off the floor was not ideal. My original allocated room (not stated in preview) was windowless, (who likes living in a box?) and so I had to upgrade at extra cost for a front/balcony room which unfortunately overlooked a noisy major construction site which started work at 6 am, hardly conducive to a relaxing holiday. Also no elevator so I always arrived at my room uncomfortably sweaty and at 80 years old, puffing a bit!! I believed that there was breakfast available and although there were facilities to indicate such, no such service was available, a shame as it meant walking several blocks to at least find a simple coffee to start the day.
- Marie (8/5): Great! - Good hotel at a central place. The rooms are clean and spacious.
