• Nia (10/5): - Arkys BnB is in the perfect location. A short walk from a bay connecting to the ocean. With a short drive to the beach and local restaurants. The bay is teeming with life, and in June we were able to see sea lions hunting and many different species of birds. Truly a nature lovers dream come true. There was not a lot to say about what we didn’t like. However I will note, we had a couple stay in the room above our head and the footsteps could be heard coming down which kept us up a bit. But we managed to tune it out eventually.

• Melanie (8/5): Arky’s B&B is relaxing with a great breakfast! - Beautiful view, comfortable bed, unique & delicious breakfast! We were able to take a lovely walk from the property along the mouth of the Smith River. The hosts are very attentive. On the expensive end of B&Bs (though the ones I’ve stayed at have been in Ireland, Scotland, and the Southern part of the US, so maybe it’s the going rate for the area). Picture of the backyard is very different than the actual yard now, but it did not negatively impact our stay.

• Nancy (10/5): Lovely retreat - Arky's B&B is FANTASTIC! The master suite with the gorgeous sea view was amazing! Lovely and comfortable room with rocking chairs to enjoy the bird sanctuary. I've never seen so many pelicans in one place!! The room and home were absolutely spotless and well cared for. Richard and Ana were charming and helpful. The amazing Chinese breakfasts were authentic, delicious, and beautifully presented. The whole atmosphere was one of peace and tranquility. We would recommend Arky's for a beautiful and relaxing getaway. EXCELLENT! The only thing that was at all difficult was driving 10-15 minutes to dinner, or a grocery store. Smith River is a small community.

The view out to the ocean was amazing. I would have enjoyed coffee right when I woke up rather than needing to wait until it was served at our 8:30 am breakfast.

The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, along with a lot of amenities at the property that could be enjoyed. The breakfasts we had were excellent and extremely tasty. We had had a deck with chairs that we sat on reading, listening to the waves and watching otters and eagles on the shore. The house was amazing- with amazing views everywhere. The lower floor had a pool table, ping pong and bowling. Breakfast was to die for!! Home made by the host and his wife. They made a pumpkin rice cake that was incredible and to be honest- the best coffee! Wish I knew what kind they used! I really wish we had been able to spend a couple days with these host and they're amazing home!!! Nothing!! loved it all!! I have no idea what would have been bad!!

• Irina (10/5): I highly recommend this place - Wonderful place! One of the few where I would like to return and recommend to my friends. My grandson of 6 years and I stayed here for one day. The owner met us, although we were late, carefully showed us everything. My grandson was delighted, and how could it be otherwise - a spacious, tastefully and lovingly created house that greeted us with quiet, soulful music, and also mini golf, table tennis, pool table, a beautiful view, access to the river. • Christian (10/5): Grossartige, aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit sehr netten, hilfsbereiten Gastgebern - Diese Unterkunft ist einfach grossartig. Die Lage ist fantastisch, in ruhiger Gegend und grossem Parkplatz und das riesengrosse Haus ist sehr aussergewöhnlich. Unser Zimmer hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen - riesengross mit sehr bequemem, grossem Bett und alles blitzblank sauber. Vom Balkon aus hatten wir Sicht direkt auf eine Sandbank beim Smith River mit hunderten Seelöwen und Pelikanen. Die Gemeinschaftsräume, welche durch die Gäste mitbenutzt werden dürfen, sind aussergewöhnlich und bieten z.B. auch einen Tischtennis- und einen Billiard-Tisch. Ana und Richard machen einen super-Job - sie sind sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Sie unterhalten das Haus minutiös und machen jeden Morgen ein sensationelles Frühstück. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben - vielen herzlichen Dank für alles, Ana & Richard! es gab nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat - alles perfekt.

• Shanan (10/5): Gorgeous, Clean, and I'll Come Back In A Heartbeat - From the moment you're welcomed into their home, the hosts, home, and amenities are incredible. We stayed in one of the sea-view rooms and greatly appreciated the space, outrageous level of cleanliness, and meticulous attention to detail. I did yoga on the balcony while watching the sea lions laze about and pelicans dive into the water at the junction where the river meets the ocean. The breakfasts were nice and well prepared. I especially loved the tea they gave out, the fresh fruit, and the chili sesame oil that they gave us. It was so good that we asked for refills of the little sauce boat multiple times. The house is super interesting and the downstairs common area has a whole host of amenities such as a small bowling alley, a pool table, ping pong table, and a bar. One of the reviews mentioned wifi which was a concern of ours since my travel companion had to work remotely one of the days we were there. In fact, the host made sure to coordinate tea, milk, and situate my companion so that when they had to be up at 3am to work in the proper timezone, navigating the house for some much needed caffeine wasn't an issue at all. Luckily, there wasn't a single issue. All went well, we truly enjoyed our stay. All was great. the only thing was that one of the guests kept on turning off a light we were using in a common area making the entire house pitch black. That light was kept on all evening the night before... it was almost like a nightlight for safety purposes. We had to swap to our cell phones. to get around. So if you're going to stay at a Bnb... maybe be considerate of others? But that's not directed at whomever is reading this review (unless you happen to be those people lol).

• Baron (10/5): I would stay here again! - Amazing setting once you get to the place. Walk down the shore, best skipping rocks you can ever find. The host made us breakfast which was awesome. They typically serve at 8:30am but modified the time for us to 8am. Super appreciated that.

The owners live in the property and treats you like their real guest (yes, you even have to take off your shoes when you enter the building). Nice breakfast, but it takes time, so if you are in a hurry you should skip it.

I loved watching the seals play in the river, and the view was amazing. The breakfast that was prepared for us was excellent! The only thing I was not a fan of was that there were other couples in the common area with us.

You can look at the beautiful ocean or turn around and watch Richard's wife fixing your multi course breakfast. Our room beat any we have ever had beside an upscale Ritz Carlton room. It was worth every penny and our hosts did everything they possibly could to make our stay enjoyable. They could have made the sun come out.

• Rom (9/5): מקום יפה ונעים - המארחים היו ממש מקסימים והיה להם חשוב שתהיה לנו חווייה חיובית! החדרים גדולים הנוף מחדר השינה מהמם, הדירה הייתה נקייה ונעימה. היחידה היא חלק מהבית של המארחים (בקומה התחתונה), לא ממש מורגש ועדיין יש פרטיות אבל חשוב לדעת מראש. בכניסה צריך להוריד נעליים, לוקח רגע להתרגל.
