Guest Reviews
- Bronwen (9/5): A gem of a place for resting and recharging! - The home-made granola was amazing. I appreciated there being a tea-pot. My only suggestion would be to also have milk in the breakfast fridge for tea and for those of us the prefer milk on granola.
The outdoor spaces for relaxing are amazing! The house is perfectly eclectic - love it too!

- Margaret (10/5): Our relaxing stay at Mountain Springs Retreat - We chose this lovely retreat to get away for a couple of days. We were very happy with the room we had and the view of Marran Lake. There are many hiking trails in the area, but we chose to put our feet up in front of the fireplace and read our books and relax. The family running this establishment were wonderful and we enjoyed our interactions with them. We look forward to returning for another visit.

- Emma (10/5): Serenity & Nature - A beautiful place, run by an exceptionally kind person :) You can find relaxation & fun & it's quiet, serene and the wild horses were magical. Lovely stay. Would highly recommend and thank you for the Spirit-healing stay. 0
- Regina (10/5): Ruhe in den Bergen und zu Sich finden. - Die Gastfreundlichkeit und die Gespräche mit der Familie. Bären waren vor dem Haus zu beobachten und Wildpferde haben uns abends am See besucht. Alles okay.
- Noémie (10/5): - Mountain Springs Nature Retreat is a magical place. We were captivated by the beauty of the nature that surrounded us. We were lucky enough to encounter a variety of wildlife during our stay (bears, deer, numerous horses and hummingbirds, snakes, and a wide variety of birds). The view of the lake from our room was captivating. Phyllis and her family were warm and calm hosts, clearly passionate about nature, their farm, and their home. The property built by the family is magnificent. We enjoyed feeling secluded in nature while being close to Penticton's outdoor activities. We would definitely have enjoyed staying longer in a place like this. Phyllis is interested in welcoming someone to help maintain her farm, which we think would be a very interesting experience. Everything was appreciated.
- Linda (10/5): Ideal - We couldn't have been happier. We needed a place to relax at the end of the day and this fit the bill perfectly. For us there wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Gurvinder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fenja (8/5): Serene Retreat with Potential - Beautiful Retreat with nice private lake close to the B&B Breakfast Timeslots can be limiting and not the best starting Point for longer hikes.
- A (10/5): Peaceful, restful, safe. Good conversation, felt welcome - Very warm and friendly environment. It was all lovely- will come again 100%
- Yuliya (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed our stay here! Great location! Close to the city, but away from the road so that you get to enjoy the nature. Would recommend to bring your own SUP or kayak since the lake at the backyard looks amazing for that!
- Kelly (8/5): The host was kind and respectful, offering a delicious breakfast each morning. - The location was perfect and the property is private and beautiful. The setting is serene, and quiet.
- Mahnaz (10/5): Will definitely come back to enjoy more - Everything was amazing
The place itself and the owner of the property Philis was phenomenal person as well NA
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martina (10/5): Amazing peaceful and natural oases. Amazing climbing is Skaha Bluffs only 15 minutes drive away. - We felt like at home from the first moment. BIO breakfasts with home made grown selections.
Wild life visiting the garden. Nice walks in the area.
World top sport climbing destination only 15 minutes drive away.
- Chloe (10/5): This place should be called Mountain Springs "Heavenly" Nature Retreat! - This place should be called Mountain Springs "Heavenly" Nature Retreat! That is how you feel when you arrive. A little slice of heaven you get to enjoy! The room was very cute and equipped with anything you might need. Bathroom and common areas were clean and welcoming. Location grounds, with the lake, the organic farm and the beautiful lawn were all so dreamy. Breakfast was very yummy and you could tell love and care went into the preparation of it. The books in the dining area made our stay really interesting too. A highlight for this book worm :) The trails on the property are not maintained but that adds to the charm. BRING A paddle board or kayak - you will want to explore the lake. We saw wild horses and a bear in the mountains from the safety of the lake. Location is close enough to do some wine tours in the region - if you choose to leave at all! Cannot wait to come back. They have plans to expand and have more cabins on site which could be nice also - as long as Phyllis keeps providing that homecooked breaky! Nothing. It was a perfect stay and we could have stayed much longer!!!
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Bethkarli (9/5): The most lovely peaceful place - This is the most gorgeous property I've ever seen and our host was so kind and friendly. Your soul will feel at peace here. We hope to return one day. I loved everything. The bed is very firm which my husband likes but for someone like me it was a bit too firm. So just a heads up if you're wary of that. But it's not a negative at all just a preference.
- Deanna (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at this very lovely property. - Beautiful location on a lake. Very peaceful and quiet with breakfast healthy, tasty and plentiful. Comfy bed!
- Marco (10/5): Full nature experience - Phyllis was a really nice and friendly host, gave us lots of info about the place.
The house is beautiful, especially the lake view at sunset.
Lots of hand-crafted details to look at.
You're fully immersed in the surrounding nature.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miroki (10/5): A special, magical place that I hope will never go away. - How to describe the Mountain Springs Retreat? Literally pure magic. You don't need to go touring when you have such a beautiful property to escape from everyday life and just rejuvenate among the mountains and water. Wake up to the most spectacular view of Marron Lake, indulge in a simple, homey and healthy breakfast, the go on a hike, swim or paddle boat in the water and just connect with the the serene scape you are provided. Thank you Phyllis (and family) for such a magical stay!
