• Heidi (3/5): I left wondering if that hotel was used by men for long-term stays. - Location and my luggage was safe when I kept it in reception. The owner was very responsive with questions at any time. No reception, thin doors, my room let in the smoke from other rooms, it sounded like someone was trying to get into my room every time a door in the hallway open or closed, the bathroom smelled and the bathroom floor was dirty, the shower floor and glass were dirty, the fridge was dirty. It didn’t feel safe for a woman - certainly not a woman traveling alone. And I would never bring a child in there.

But because they don't answer on Saturday, nobody could replace the dirty one, so had to use only one. The check out is super early for a Saturday.. and only one pillow was good. The other was almost non existing..

It was a non-smoking hotell and a non-smoking sign at the entrance to the corridor. Despite that, you smelled smoke in the corridor, and in the room, every day.

• Michael (6/5): Great location. Staff was attentive to our needs. - If there were any problems or needs, the manager was very attentive to address the need. Be aware, the manager is offsite (normally) and communicates with you by What's App. You check yourself in and check yourself out using the lockbox by your room door. The hotel is on a pedestrian street, so someone can't just drop you off or pick you up in front of the hotel. The closest place to drop or pick you up with taxi is nearby where Ben Hillel runs into King George St. But if it is a friend (not a taxi), then you need to schlept your bags a couple of blocks away. There are 10 steps up to the hotel entrance from the pedestrian street.

We sent message about it to the provided phone number, absoluttely no response from the property. small and cold room, AC just cooling not heating. tiles in the bathroom were new, but the rest desperatelly need changing.
• Valerio (6/5): Great location, very basic hotel with just the bare minimum essential - Great location and fairly "low" price for Jerusalem Room quite dusty; furniture and room quality quite poor; not possible to fully cover windows, with street lights right outside, basically no possibility to hang anything as there's no space nor hangers

We got there before check-in time and left our luggages at the reception, nobody was there so it would be nice if they could make the closet at the front desk available so that suitcases are not so visible to other guests coming in and out.

• James12017 (8/5): Good hotel could be great if attention paid to little things. - The location of the hotel is perfect. Short 100m walk from Jaffa Centre tram stop. 10 minute walk to Old City. Surrounding area has plenty of shops and restaurants and a lively vibe. Easy self check in procedure as Guy emails necessary codes before arrival IF you ask. Room is a bit compact and has most of the necessities for a comfortable stay ( but see below ). Small fridge in room was great. Small convenience store next door for beer, milk etc. Hot water available in reception. For Israel in general and Jerusalem in particular it represents good value for money. Fresh laundered towels provided every two days but the laundry service isn't that good hence other reviewers comments about the towels. Only one towel provided which seems standard in Israel at least in our experience. No glasses in the bathroom.

Hairs everywhere, went out and got from the super next to it some clorex to clean it before i stepped inside. Cleaning staff should pay more attention to that.

Some parts were very dusty, like they haven’t been cleaned in a while. Not my idea of a boutique hotel. We were also just given 2 towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper which wasn’t really enough.

• Victor (5/5): Not worth it - The location is good; the main road, bus & tram stops, and the old city, all are close by. Also there are nice food places close to the hotel. The room lacked basic facilities; there was no hand soap or shower gel. When we asked for a hand soap, the contact person was reluctant to provide it. There was a small refrigerator with white light, that made sleeping very difficult at night. The bed and the desk were narrower than we expected. The photos can be misleading. For the price it charges, the hotel is not worth it.

• Denise (2/5): It felt cold, cramped, unclean and unwelcoming and adversely affected the way I felt about Jerusalem - Nothing. Bed was too small when it was advertised as a deluxe double bed - only 140cms wide. Poor quality bedding - sheets and duvet not big enough. Photos on the booking.com website showed clean white towelling bathrobes on the bed which gave an impression of luxury - there were no bathrobes and the towels were grotty. The website also talked about a bar which gave the impression it was a proper hotel with reception/bar when it was just a collection of cramped rooms. The place was unclean. The property owner said the room was a deluxe room because it had a balcony when the balcony was only 30cm wide and had a sign on the railing saying it was dangerous to lean on it. And the view below the balcony was of a rubbish tip.

Accessible from tram (few minutes walk) and train station (maybe 20 minutes walk) and 10/15 minute walk to Jaffa Gate, along Jaffa Street. Staff helpful - thank you! Mini market next door and plenty of options for food and drink all around! Kettles available to use in room and a fridge provided too. Air con unit can warm or cool. Powerful shower and some mini shampoos etc., too. Very quick response when asked a quesiton on whatsapp! Secure - code entry to hotel. Some street noise one night - can get this anywhere of course!
• Cheryl (6/5): this accommodation was definitely not as advertised. - It was quiet. There was no refrigerator or ironing facilities, nor a drying rack for clothing as indicated. There was an area in the hallway where you could get a electric tea kettle if it happened to be available, there was no wardrobe or closet of any kind.

• francesdunhamlaw (6/5): Good option for Jerusalem - The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to everything. If you are looking for a "no-frills" affordable option, this is one. The staff was very attentive and responded immediately to any concerns. The rooms were clean and sufficient. The only problem was that the internet was not strong. I work remotely, and zoom was tough. Otherwise, a nice stay.

The room in general was not really clean, the shower was terrible and really dirty, we found hair of someone else on the blanket and on all the towels even when they were changing them. There were stains all over the room and with a better cleaning it could be really much better

Lots of restaurants around and close to Machaneh Yehuda Market Room was not clean, we had serious doubts whether they changed the sheets. We went early to leave our bags and the person who received us was very emphatic that we should not leave any valuables under their care, which did not make us feel great about trusting them with out bags.

The room had a fridge. Central location, quiet at night. Very friendly staff! I felt welcomed and rested well.
