The place was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were always ready to help and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The environment was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day. We were four people staying together in one room, and it was comfortable for all of us. We truly enjoyed our time there and had a very positive feeling during our stay. There is also a café on-site where we had both breakfast and dinner. Everything was very delicious, and we definitely recommend trying it during your stay.

• Ekaterina (3/5): Poor experience - Very friendly host It is very basic to say the least. I expected something much better seeing all glowing reviews. The property is in poor condition, rooms too. When we arrived we saw someone’s underwear and socks drying all around. Mosquito net is hanged poorly, lays on your face when you sleep. Luckily we only stayed here for one night before flight. The owner also charges premium to bring you to the airport 4000 rupees while we called a regular taxi for 1000.

Jude and his family helped us with everything and we were also able to hire a tuktuk. Close to the beach and great restaurants on top. The food at the homestay was also great. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We were also able to store our bike cases there and clean our bikes there at the end. The family kindly organized the transfer to and from the airport for us. We can highly recommend the Sir Lanka breakfast there! Many thanks for everything!

The breakfast was very tasty and affordable – I thoroughly enjoyed it! The room was spotless, and I was impressed by the cleanliness. What stood out most was that they allowed me to check in early so I could rest and recover from my jetlag. They even apologized for not being able to clean as thoroughly as usual because of my early check-in, but honestly, I couldn’t imagine how the room could have been any cleaner! Additionally, the neighborhood felt very safe to me as a solo female traveler. I had no concerns walking around alone even in the dark. The beach as well as supermarkets, shops and restaurants are in walking distance, so it's a great place to spend a few relaxing beach days. There’s really only one small downside: from the pictures online I got the impression that the property was directly on the beach. But it's just a short walk, so overall, it was a wonderful experience!

His brother drove me 3h to Sigiriya afterwards for a fair price and was a great driver. The food was awesome, and Jude went out of his way to help us in any way he could. Jude helped us to get a Sri Lanka drivers license and drove us four hours to Wilpattu in his Tuk Tuks for a great rate. Highly highly recommend this accommodation.

• Jerzy (10/5): Alexandra Family Villa by - We were warmly welcomed by Kamila and Jude in this small, quiet hotel with air conditioned rooms and fast internet. The food and tea prepared by Kamila was delicious. Jude organised for us an interesting trip in Negombo in his tuctuc and later to the train station for our next destination. There are many restaurants nearby and small food stores. The airport is in distance of 12 km. We recommend Alexandra Family Villa. nothing

La chambre était propre et conforme à nos attentes, nous avons pris le petit déjeuner qui était excellent ! Le tenancier nous a Conseillées pour le reste de notre séjour pour profiter au maximum et ensuite à prendre notre train pour Anuradhapura : il nous a emmener à la gare la plus pratique pour avoir un train direct (40km en tuktuk pour une somme très raisonnable) et nous a aidé à acheter les billets. En bref : séjour parfait ! Nous retournerions dans cette guest House sans hésiter !

The rooms are very nice with a lovely big and modern bathroom, and the place itself is very close to the beach, and only w 20 minute drive from the airport which is perfect! The Sri Lankan breakfasts were delicious too. Great place and very good value for money!
• Verified traveler (6/5): perfect for last day before flying back home - family welcomed us very friendly, provided us with extra towels, linen, offered welcome tea.location is a little bit too far to walk from railway or busstation but only minutes away from the beach. cathedral and fishmarket are reachable about 1/2 walk. breakfast was very tasty (not included) for an extra 3$. layover for one night is ok, and perfect before flight back home. room has unfortunatly no A/C (only fan) so that it is more on the hot and sticky side.
