Guest Reviews
- Edward (8/5): - Great views. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need (except food of course) Very clean. Quiet for sleeping, you do not hear the highway while sleeping. Comfortable beds. Perhaps a little too much decor, made it a little crowded when trying to find shelf space. Small TV with limited selections.
- Gerald (10/5): -
- keith (10/5): excellent, very enjoyable - waited up late for me to arrive. nothing
- Melanie (6/5): The view and location of this place is great, easy access to wine tasting and recreation. The space is dated but clean - The location was great and the outside space to sit with the view was nice. Enough chairs and table for us all to sit comfortably and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The host was friendly and available as well as being responsive to requests. Everything you needed in the kitchen and bathrooms were provided. When I rented the property I did so off of the photos which showed two bedrooms and baths with kitchen and living room. When we got there we were told that the living room was being used for storage and was not available. I paid for something and it was not what we got. There were 4 of us and an indoor place to gather was part of what I looked for when renting a space. That was disappointing, and to not have been notified about that from the host prior to our arrival took away my choice for change and felt discourteous at best, manipulative at worst.
The only other negative was that we were unable to independently control the temperature in the space (which is the downstairs of the hosts house). I had to call the host to request the air conditioning be turned on, etc.
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent - The hosts were lovely and we were very comfortable!
- Chris and Suzanne (8/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Dirk (9/5): Super - Vriendelijke mensen, ligging
- Dieter (10/5): Super Gastgeber in traumhafter Lage mit herrlichem Blick auf den Okanagan Lake - Traumhafte Lage, sehr gute Ausstattung und extrem freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber Alles Bestens
- thomas (9/5): - Well located looking over the lake (which is within walking distance).
Spacious room (incl kitchen facilities).
- Jeffrey (9/5): - Nice views, private room with a private bathroom. It's quite the walk up the hill from the boardwalk.
- Jodie (10/5): - Birgit was ready to welcome us and was very hospitable.
- Janske (10/5): Enjoyed our stay and would book again. - Quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view, convenient location for our purpose, very clean, super friendly host. We liked everything about the property.
- Daryl (8/5): -
- Leslie (9/5): Peaceful retreat - Peaceful, beautiful view.
- Waddell (10/5): Exceptional - Birgit was incredibly helpful and met us on arrival. The view from the patio is spectacular and the beds were super comfy!
- Caroline (8/5): This is a great value place. It’s not modern but it has everything you need. It’s green! (As in, why update if it work - Great price, everything you need, lovely hosts, quiet , clean, well stocked kitchen, a/c. Amazing view! Sheets were a bit warm.
- Jamie (8/5): Very good -
- Shelina (8/5): Very good - Hosts very kind, friendly and helpful. The location has a great view. In case you have difficulty climbing, there are quite a few stairs to get to the suite.
- Jean (9/5): Superb - Will stay here again! Comfortable bed. Lovely host.
- Ernie (8/5): It’s ok for an AirBnB type of property - Great view and lovely garden, the couple running the home are very friendly and nice, Shower stall is small, TV is a small computer monitor, hard to see and not great sound. Driveway down into the home is steep and under construction, a bit disconcerting to drive down.
- Janis (6/5): Very nice host, clean and quiet location but, lots of stairs outside to get to the rooms. - The king bed is comfortable.
The kitchen well stocked with dishes, etc
Clean & quiet
View from the deck is lovely Lots of stairs outside! IF there’s a parking spot up top, it’s about 15 stairs up and down. If you have to park at street level below, it’s 50 steps and a few pathways one direction. Great going down in the morning but a lot at the end of the day and it’s not lit up. Bring your cell phone for light.
The king room’s bathroom is at the other end of the hallway beside the Family Suite. That was unexpected.
- Sam2024 (9/5): Superb -
- Klazina (8/5): Very good - The location was beautiful, but the problem was we had booked the place knowing it was possible to sleep 3 people, however booked as just 2 ppl on booking.com (our mistake or booking's mistake? We thought we booked for 3). No problem right? The host did not think the same thing, and wanted an extra 30$ per night if an extra person slept there.
- Merih (10/5): Very comfortable and accomodating - Location was great. Very quiet area Nothing
- Sabrina (9/5): Superb -
- Tarun (9/5): Superb - The Guesthouse was great! Birgit and her husband gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Very lovely hosts. The location was amazing as we had a view of the mountains as well as the lake. The room is way cozier than it looks in the photos and the shared balcony outside was perfect for having breakfast. The only issue for us was the noise from the fridge in the room which was a bit louder than usual and sometimes made it a bit hard for us to fall asleep.
- Nayara (6/5): Wouldn’t stay here again 🙁 - View as location are wonderful. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all. We had poor sleep because of that. It doesn’t take much for you to invest in a better mattress and pillows for your guests. On top of that, you will frequently hear people stomping around the owner’s house upstairs. It was surprising to see this stay with a rating above 9. A 6.5 would be more fair.
- Kylie (10/5): Beautiful location super close to downtown Peachland, with caring and kind hosts. - Very accommodating and receptive hosts, who put care into making a clean, organized, and welcoming place to stay.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location and how quiet it was, the house was clean and comfortable!
- Lidia (9/5): Very nice stay! - Very friendly hosts and beautiful view! Would gladly stay again 👍
- Farid (9/5): It was lovely stay along with full positive energy - So clean, fantastic view and lovely people
- Amanda (10/5): A relaxing and enjoyable stay really appreciated the hospitality - The location was absolutely perfect and central to the main strip. It literally just took about six minutes to drive down to beach Avenue to get to the water and the restaurants and shops. All in all, it was a positive experience for me and my family
- Rodney (9/5): 😊 - Clean, very quiet, close to Lake staff was great happy with location. Great padio and barbecue. Kitchen was well supplied and extra clean. Small TV and fridge to small if you bring supplies.
- Gracee (10/5): Exceptional - Highly recommended! The lake view from the room is fantastic. Very clean room and comfortable beds. It also has a fully equipped kitchen which is a plus points. It also just less than 30 minutes away from Kelowna and Pentincton. Lovely and kind hosts. Would be back again for sure! Nothing. Everything is great.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laterman (9/5): Superb - No ensuite bathroom l
- Nola (9/5): Comfortable, clean and well equipped with a beautiful view of the lake - A very nice property and lovely couple running it. There were a lot of stairs and would not be easy for anyone with physical difficulties Cant say there was anything we did not like. We were very pleased
- Lynn (9/5): Good stay, gorgeous views, lovely host! - Lovely host, very clean place, lovely deck and views, comfy beds. It was as we expected small room with good beds , use of a kitchen, and our own bathroom down the hall. Weather was warm so nice to sit on the deck in the evening. Might have been better for us to have a bigger room, but our hosts did the best they could with what they had so no complaints.
- Anne (10/5): Fabulous as always! I’ll be back! - Loved it!! 5th time back and this is my go-to for a comfy, quiet, relaxing stay in Peachland! The stocked kitchen is a great bonus as is the outdoor deck with view over the whole lake and town below. Couldn’t ask for anything more! Everything was perfect!
- Daniel (8/5): The hosts were so lovely and the property was exactly as described. - We loved enjoying our morning coffee and meals out on the balcony. The view was beautiful. There wasn’t a toilet paper holder in the bathroom for the King/Twin room.
- Anne (10/5): Fabulous, cozy, huge deck with amazing view! - Amazing place, kind hosts, lovely view, great value! I always come back here when visiting Peachland each summer. Everything is amazing!
- Mehta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amin (10/5): Had a great time. Thank you. - Great location on a hill with excellent view of the mountains and the lake. Very quite place and clean. Have a great deck where one can sit and enjoy the great view. Also, can do a BBQ on the deck. Very helpful and friendly owner. Would recommend to anybody. Nothing.
- Slim (9/5): Superb -
- Sofi (8/5): We enjoyed the stay - The hosts are really kind and very nice people! I had a special request and they made it happen
Views are important to me and there was an amazing view from their balcony
Quiet neighborhood
Close to Kelowna and not far from Penticton We didn't realize there is another room on the same floor where another couple was staying but they were on the other side of the hall and they were quiet and didn't bother us.
- Kim (9/5): The host was wonderful - The view was breathtaking Nothing
- Saurabh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Don (9/5): Hope it is available the next time we go to Peachland. - Fantastic view of the lake from the deck. Nice and quiet at night.
- Helen (7/5): Overall a very nice quiet place to stay. - Great location, nice view, very quiet. The drive way needs to made better for walking ..
- Jeff (10/5): When we visit the Okanakan again in the future, we will definitely stay again at PineWood Guesthouse, should they have a - We liked;
-The peaceful and quiet location in the beautiful small town of Peachland
-The central location to other locations in the Okanagan. Kelowna, Summerland and Penticton
-The friendliness of our hosts
-The beautiful views of Okanagan Lake from the patio of the accommodation
-The room was spacious and the bed big was comfortable
-Nice private bathroom
-Safe on-site parking
-Good, fair price for the area Everything was perfect!
- Vicki (8/5): Very good - Location was close to town but at the top of a steep hill. The property was nice, clean and quiet with good a/c. Breakfast was not included but there was access to kitchen if you like. I would stay there again.
- Igor (10/5): Highly recommend, good value for money, definitely return back next year. - Huge deck with bbq and great view on the lake, rooms with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, kitchen. Great host helping you with anything you need. Nothing to say.
- Christina (10/5): The location was great with a nice view of the lake. - We had a well stocked little kitchen, which made it easy to prepare our breakfast and lunches. The bed was super comfortable and the location was really convenient to the main beach and the strip of shops and restaurants in town. It was very quiet, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the view.
- Matthias (10/5): Peachland‘s best lake view - We really enjoyed our stay at the PineWood Guesthouse. You can drive with the car all the way up to the house and don’t even have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Birgit and Gottfried are very lovely, kind and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed a nice conversation with them and they helped us whenever we had a problem or needed something.
The view from the balcony is amazing. You can also eat you meals outside.
The rooms were very clean!
Thank you for the nice stay! -
- Kris (8/5): Great place to enjoy Okanagan! - Hosts/Owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Amazing view! It feels like home away from home. We did not really feel A/C in our room and on a very hot days ( 30+ C) it is a must. We had a fan provided by the owners but it did not help very much.
It is a shared accommodation with a private bathroom but this is reflected in the price, so no complaints here.
- Chrysi (9/5): Superb - Εxcellent location and value for the money! Very clean and cute ! A bit outdated but again for the money its a hit!
- Roger (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Gorgeous lake views from a comfy suite! - Comfy suite with private bathroom, kitchen facilities with oven that was great for warming up our home made meat pies from the Little Acre Friut Stand just up the way. Beautiful views to the lake from the spacious deck and a short jaunt down to the local cafe and beachwalk and swimming all along the lake front. Second time here and another blissful stay! Thanks again!
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Our stay in Peachland was made so much better at this guesthouse! - The morning view from the balcony is great - and the location to Pincushion trail and the downtown strip. Fantastic location and property! Washroom was a little cozy
- Heidi (10/5): Great value. Wonderful location to relax and unwind. Quiet, yet close to nearby stores. 5minutes from lakeshore. - Amazing views. .
- Anonymous (8/5): I rented the family room. It’s a quite and cozy place for a short term period and relaxing. The owners were too friendly - clean room, great view, beautiful decoration and design No recycling garbage can in the property
- Jeff (7/5): Hosts were greT and the room was pleasant - N/A More privacy
- Greg (9/5): I would recommend this place without hesitation. - The location was perfect. Check in was easy and the hosts were great, very accommodating.
The bed was comfortable and the washrooms were spacious and clean. Not much. It was all good.

- Mike (9/5): Superb - Room was comfortable. Great view of lake from deck. Hosts very accomodating. Overall a good stay. Breakfast?
- Helen (7/5): All in all the suite was comfortable and met my expectations. - Location was very good. A few minutes drive down to the Bliss cafe.
Everyone in Peachland enjoys a coffee and something yummy at Bliss. Sheets and extra blankets for the single bed were not readily available in the suite.
- David (10/5): Exception experience! -
- Elizabeth (9/5): All was great. - There was no breakfast served there. Nothing
- Kim (10/5): lovely! - beautiful view with the lake just down the road, super friendly and accommodating hosts, and the room was comfortable and clean. There’s no coffee but there’s a coffee machine if you want to bring your own. we ended up just buying some instant and then going to the coffeeeshot down the road once we were awake.
- Noemi (10/5): A truly wonderful place like a home away from home -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (8/5): It was good. - No breakfast. Room was nice and clean
Enjoyed the use of the deck. Too many stairs and difficulty parking our truck. My husband had knee surgery so I would have booked a different place if I had known how difficult it would be for him to go up and down the stony steps every day. It was very hard on his knees.
- Tomasz (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect little guest house with a splendid view of the lake. You’ll be very pleased to stay there.
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful quiet location. very comfortable bed.
- Collin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Amazing place 3 minutes from the lake and everything Peachland has to offer! - This was an amazing location up on the hill behind Okanagon Lake, 3 minutes down to Beach Ave with wonderful Bliss Cafe right on the corner and many beach spots on the stroll along the lake. The suite was very cute with a stocked shared kitchen just outside and big patio with amazing views. The hosts were so friendly and the price is very reasonable for the location! I will definitely be back!! Everything was perfect!
- Lisa (1/5): Bad - No breakfast The room size so small
- Brenda (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. Very clean, Reasonably priced for summer. - The view from the place was beautiful. Everything was very clean. The hosts were very nice. The beds were good. Free exercise - stair climber : ) Not too bad to find, just have to watch. Shared kitchen was available if needed. Private bath in the room is nice. (the smaller room had the bathroom just down the hall, not directly in room). Driveway was a bit steep and gravel (common for the area). She asked us to park in front of the property and that was better access to park and go up the walkway ,stairs. There is a little driveway off Ponderosa and 6th Ave, (at the bottom of their property) and that was great to park at. (someone with mobility issues may not be able to make the pathway, no rails. There is a railing from the driveway down to the suites). Shared some pictures of pathway up to house, zig zag up. Small fridge in room.
Shared photo of part of bedroom with hide-a-bed layout just to get idea, there was also a twin bed no photo- sorry had to edit person out of photo). Book 2 people and then contact property for additional people if needed. Owner responds fast. The hide-a-bed sunk a bit to the middle, bed not too bad, We knew there were stairs which is ok, just the loading and unloading of suitcases, etc. in 38 degree heat - was difficult, The room is nice but for a family of 4 it is a bit crowded as the table could not be by the window and no room for chairs. (2 or 3 people ideal but ok for 4) There is a queen bed and a twin and a pullout hide-a-bed. Guess you could fold up hide-a-bed every morning for more room. Good for a family but the extra charge for each child brought the price up quite a bit. You could also book both rooms if available.
- Solange (10/5): Room with a view - We were enchanted by the location, combined with the cleanliness and modern decor of our room, it was a very pleasant stay, highly recommended.
- TC (8/5): Great overall satisfaction - Great view, well priced. Not the ritz but did the trick for us.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great view - Kind hosts.
The view was awesome!
Tricky drive.
- Yan (10/5): Very nice room at nice location - Very nice room with private bathroom at the guest house. Really like the view, amenities. Nice shared area with kitchenette. Like the style and decor of room. Very convenient location.
- Marie (8/5): Great view above Peachland BC Lakeside Waterfront - Not only did we have a King size bed room, we had a TV Room, separate bathroom and small kitchen space. We were allowed to control the heat in each space and had a lakeview from the TV/sitting room and the bedroom.
I forgot my coat in the closet and the owners spent extra time trying to track us down and did find us jogging on the trail to deliver it.
It is not a modern space but speaks to the European Heritage of the Owners and since we have traveled to Europe a few times this does not make us feel uncomfortable but rather like staying with family.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice but... - everything is a 5 but... The bed sorry 2 twins pushed together is not a King.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay - I had an amazing time here. Wish it was longer. Couple ideas maybe read e mail before accepting reservations. King bed in stead of two twins. And maybe a different shower head. Soap doesn't have enough time to lather before being washed away. But all in all it was amazing. Thank you. I would love to come back.
- carolin (8/5): Nice b&b fantastic view - Nice quiet b&b with a fantastic view. Nice room comfortable bed. Perfect location to discover peachland and surrounding areas. Car needed as up the hill.
- Donna (6/5): - Not a hotel. Just the B part of a B & B! Host was very pleasant. Comfortable enough.
- Kathy (6/5): Great view! - Interesting location on the side of a hill overlooking Okanagan Lake. There was some difficulty with access: steep driveway from the top and numerous steps down to the level where the rooms were. You could walk up from the bottom of the property on a terraced path up the hill. We had the family room which was a hostel- like experience. We booked the room for three adults and two children, but Expedia did not convey the information to the hotel and they were only expecting the default number on the site: two adults. Consequently we were charged more than expected and the hotel owner was very upset with Expedia. Expedia needs to correct this problem. There is no point in asking the number of people booking the room, the ages of the children etc., if the information does not get passed on to the hotel!
- Regular folks (8/5): Pleasant stay - Very reasonable and comfortable. Large comfortable bed, a great outside deck with a wonderful view of the lake.
Private bathroom and small kitchenette just outside room, with a comfortable common room across the hall.
Will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice quiet place. - Friendly staffs, lot of privacy, comfort bed. I like the place very much.
- Matt (10/5): Nice comfortable room. - Friendly host, spacious family room, nice location, good view of Lake Okanagan.
- ELIZABETH (8/5): - Beautiful location looking over Lake Okanagan. Friendly people. Lovely breakfast. Lovely new queen bed which was very comfortable. Would recommend and would use again. Address could be more clearly marked.
- Laverne (8/5): Unexpected but welcomed - Because we had some initial confusion with our online booking, we arrived to this lodge and presented ourselves to the hosts, who had no idea that we had attempted to make a Reservation. Birgette was very adaptable and quickly set up the room for us. The king size bed was new and firm and we had a comfortable sleep. A small kitchenette was available had we wanted to make our own breakfast, but we were very happy to go to the local Bliss coffee house . The view of the lake from the deck was lovely.
