Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): - they are having standard room like rats box, no windows. When I asked for room with windows, they try to charge me extra 10$, finally I pay 5$ overcharge. Avoid at any cost, around are plenty of similar hotels with lower prices.
- PIETRO (8/5): excellent - I arrived in Yangon very late at night. when I arrived at the hotel they were waiting for me. they speak very little English but they know what to do. the room I had booked was clean and even had drinking water ready for me. I found the window was a little too small so I upgraded to a room with a balcony, the upgrade cost me very little and the staff helped me move. overall this is a great hotel which makes it very well is the staff, they are always there and willing to help and answer any question. planning to go back to Yangon next November and I will definitely book a room at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ive stayed here about 3 times over the years but I probably wont stay again , not sure if its new owners or something else , it just was nt as great as in the past . It is a handy walk to everything , a balcony room is great value as you get a chance to sit a watch Yangon life stroll past .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small and on a small street but located in a vibrant part of Yangon. Wish we had stayed in the area more than one night. Staff was very attentive.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Aircon not good - Aircon was leaking and stuffy warm room because aircon spoil. I sleep sweating. Lol
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They don't have the bookings in order so they could not find mine.
The tours manager doesn't deliver what he promises.
The internet fails.
- Beatrice (4/5): Nicht empfehlenswert.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Did not stay - The hotel smells there is no lift. Walked in and walked out. Complete waste of money.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Too many insects and very bad smell from the bed - to many insects in the room and very bad smell from the bed sheet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall good, wifi signal is weak in the first room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent service, vaule for money , good location - Vaule for money, good location, friendly excellent service, update facilities, very clean room , free lending umbrellas , will stay again.
- Theodore (4/5): It wasn't very good - Overall, I was expecting better from this hotel due to its good ratings, but I was disappointed. The WiFi did not work for me, the hotel had cigarette smells throughout the common areas and in the bedroom a little as well. There was a small nail poking through the seat (I used a towel to deal with that minor issue). Also, the room is very small.
The positive points about this inn are that the staff are friendly, it is easy to buy a phone topup at the front desk, and the breakfast was okay.
In summary, I would not recommend this place for a friend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice stay - It was nice place not so big burn clean . The receptionist always eager to help you about any question
- Michael (8/5): Very Nice hotel in excellent location. - This was a very nice hotel located in a working class neighborhood. Close to all the tourist attractions. Amazing street food nearby, endless choices. Grocery store within 3 minute walk if wanting to buy a few items while staying in this part of town. Prices in Yangon will make your travel dollar stretch further than you can imagine. We felt very safe at all times and would book this hotel again when returning to Yangon.
Do not book your ride from the airport to hotel online, you can save lots of money by using Uber or getting taxi at airport. Be sure to negotiate taxi fare before getting into car. If you book a taxi with your hotel you can pay up to 85 dollars US to get that ride. If you get a sim card and data plan for your cell (must have unlocked cell phone) at the airport this cost around 4dollars US for 1 month of call service. You can Uber a ride to your hotel for around 4 to 5 dollars US. If you don't want to buy a sim card or cell service you can use the free airport Wi-Fi to book your Uber ride.
- taejin (10/5): Clean Hotel - Clean and New Hotel.
You will have good choice.
- Monthakan (10/5): Great Midrange Hotel with Great Service - I stayed at the Family Treasure Yangon for 28 days due to a volunteer trip at Yangon General Hospital. I chose it originally because of the location (5 minute walk) and of the previous reviews. It is a mid-ranged hotel near Chinatown, which I thought was a great deal. The staff here is quite gracious. There were several choices for breakfast, which was a good portion and delicious. Rooms had hot running water with good pressure and was more than spacious for my needs. I did not have any major wifi issues. I did choose a room with a window due to my long stay. I would stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone.
The hotel can help with you a taxi and travel arrangements, but there is an up-charge. It is in walking distance to Chinatown and the 19th Street Night Market. There are also many local restaurants nearby and the supermarket is at the end of the street. There are also many close bus routes to downtown and up Paya Street.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, perfect service - Perfect service, as we had to leave early morning, they organized transport and the whole crew got up that morning, we had breakfast at 5.30 am...
- Brian (10/5): Great stay and feeling - Great hospitality shown by staff and peaceful neigbourhood. Will stay there for next trip.
- Seema (10/5): Great accommodation with professional staff - All of the staff members here were awesome, sweet, and professional. The room was the perfect size for two people. The bathroom facility was kept very clean. Our room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Breakfast provided was excellent but the stuff really went above and beyond when they offered us the Noodle soup options which were not made onsite. Those items were delicious and kept us full for most of the day. The air conditioner worked perfectly. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Yangon.
- Cathy (8/5): Good access to most places. - I found the room a Lille small for a five day visit. Hotel located on the edge of a very vibrant and intense Chinatown.
- Antony (8/5): Good budget hotel for short or long stay - Very attentive service staff, nice breakfast buffet, comfortable room, restaurant on site for lunch and dinner, a little far from the centre of town but easily accessible by tricycle
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place for budget stay - Polite and helpful staff. Location is good and within walking distance to China town, night market, Junction city and so on. Room was clean and comfortable. It would be great if the breakfast could further improve.
- keithton (10/5): 5days stay - Friendly and helpful staff.
- Kevin (10/5): Friendly staff. Good value and great location - Lovely family run hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was small but in the back of hotel and was quiet and clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh to order. Great location a few minutes walk from Chinatown and modern shopping mall nearby. Only a few tv channels though and with sound issues. Internet worked ok most of the time in the room but sometimes cut out but faster in the lobby. Good value for money as Yangon hotels are expensive. Will book them next time we go back.

- Nanna (10/5): Fantastisk sted, midt i det hele. - Utroligt venligt personale. Alt fungerede så fint. Var klart over vores forventning.
- Claire (10/5): Highly recommend - Breakfast cooked to order was perfect. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Great value.
- sang sup (10/5): - The staffs were very attentive and kind to everything I need. the breakfast was better than I have expected. great value for money
- Joao (8/5): - Location is ok. Staff is nice. The room (101..as far as i remember) we stayed was above the lobby, which was ok because we just stayed for 2 nights and we were never at the room during the day. Nevertheless I would recommend people to avoid this room.
- Radek (10/5): very convenient stay - Great staff, very helpfull and kind
Very clean property, part of hotel is little cute cafe, breakfast is very good with choise of international or local
- Grato (8/5): Excellent location, courteous staff - Outstanding and great location
- Annette (10/5): extremely friendly staff, good location - My husband had a bad toothache in the middle of the night and one of the super friendly guys at the reception accompanied him to a pharmacy to get painkillers. In the morning, he referred us to an excellent dental clinic nearby.
- Kraveller (8/5): Nice family guest house - Newly renovated, neat and clean rooms with friendly staff. A new cafe for breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is close to everything and easy to walk. The wifi was good.
The staff are very attentive and helpful. A good budget guest house. Would stay again
- karen (10/5): Central in Yangon - Everything about this little guest house was great for us. Decent sized bathroom with very good pressure shower, small refrigerator, good aircon, hot water.
The staff were so helpful and nice, they even took my bag along the road to have its zip repaired for me.
Breakfast was entirely adequate.
We didn't check out until late but we were able to relax while we waited in the lobby with tea and juice offered.
I think it was reasonably good value for money.
- Pam (10/5): Close to Sule pagoda - Right in the heart of downtown Yangon, walking distance to Sule pagoda and the Chinatown district where you can try a lot of good food. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good Myanmar breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - This little hotel is located within a 15 minute walk of Bogyoke Market, other shopping, Chinatown, and the National Museum. There is also a supermarket around the corner. It is a short cab ride away from Shwedagon and Sule Pagodas and other sights. The hotel is high-end for backpackers, with hot water, comfortable bed, and a refrigerator. No elevators, a little dark, and some bugs, but the hotel was renovated a couple of years ago. The staff don't speak much English, but they are friendly and they try. A good value for Yangon.
- JONATHAN (8/5): - Staff really helpful and friendly.
- John P (6/5): fair value - Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Best to book through hotels .com because it is cheaper that way.
Breakfast just ok. Room was ok
- JASON (8/5): Great stay - This was a couples trip, the room was comfortable, hot shower, basic breakfast, close to plenty of restaurants, grocery store, 19th street, short taxi rides to most sights, next to travel agency who were very helpful with overnight train tickets to Bagan. The staff was very nice, helpful and very eager to please. Wifi works good in the lobby, we would stay here again.
- Godwin (10/5): A lovely family run hotel in Chinatown - Great location and we walked everywhere indeed. The room itself is quiet spacious ( huge ) even though not really well designed/planned when it comes to furniture arrangement.
We did not have a view and could not open the window, a big downer in my part. I did not mind it as we were planning to stay outside as much as possible. For claustrophobes, not for you this room and take the upper floors. We had the family suite in the mezzanine, room 103.
The bathroom needs upgrading and definitely a shower curtain is a must. The whole bathroom gets whet when showering. The water pressure is amazing though and the warm water is really warm indeed.
I slept well with the comfy beds. One irritating thing, they dont have enough plugs/sockets or they are hidden behind the dresser or the beds. Very annoying as they are not easily accessible.
Wifi was patchy but in the end i just used my tourist sim with unlimited data for 7 days.
Would i stay here again? sure but will consider other alternatives.
- Graham (10/5): Friendly, helpful staff that all speak English - The lobby is well air conditioned and the entire hotel is clean. There is an attached travel agency that serves hotel guests which is very helpful. The location is great being near Chinatown and all the main attractions downtown. Stayed there because it had a room with three beds and there were three adults staying there. Would definitely reccomend this hotel for its service and location.
- Alexander (6/5): - Hotel is quite decent for the Yangon standards, room was clean and had hot water and AC. Also, it was the only place in Myanmar where wifi actually worked in the room.
Negative sides:
1. Room didn't have a window and air flow was maintained by an extremely noisy fan. Make sure you have earplugs.
2. Room was quite small.
