Guest Reviews
- Janis (8/5): - The property is st up great for dogs
- Jennifer (6/5): - The room has a strong perfume smell to it. I had to leave the windows open to air it out as it gave me a headache.
- Albert (10/5): - Property has great character and price.
- Laura (10/5): - Lady at front desk was excellent! I will stay there again. Beds are extremely comfortable!
- Andrea (4/5): Find somewhere else to stay - This is not an 8 property as currently rated. The lobby stinks of smoke and is in disrepair. The room, while clean, had a bathroom that could not have been updated in 20 years - holes in walls, gaps in floor, stained sink.
- James (8/5): Good Value - Large room and for the price a quality stay in a bit older hotel. Staff were awesome and polite
- Jessica (8/5): Attentive Service - Everything was nice and clean, I got new towels every day. I definitely appreciated the air conditioning on the hot days. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. The employees were friendly and attentive.
- marcia (8/5): Review - Friendly and helpful staff
- Chalea (6/5): - I worked all night and had the Do Not Disturb sign on door so the cleaning staff would not bother me. They still woke me up
- Robert (8/5): - Staff were very friendly and accommodating
- Steven (10/5): - Although the units are dated the place was spotless. The woman who helped us (the manager) was exceptional. There was an error (through Expedia) and she went above and beyond.
Plus the bed was so comfy!
- Richard (10/5): - An old property but well taken care of. The lady at the front desk was professional and very nice. Very homey feel to the entire place.
We would definitely stay here again if we were driving through. Thanks for a great stay.
- Ellen (10/5): - Older, nostalgic, very clean, friendly staff. I would stay here again.
- Dana (10/5): - Lighting could have been better. Hard to read unless under lamp
- Sharon (4/5): Poor - Lady at the desk was very nice. Motel is alittle run down. The heater in the bathroom did not work and was very dirty. Big cobweb above the Mirror (very disgusting). You should see outside the door was closed. Very hard to get warm with the wind blowing in. The heater sounded like a freight train when it started. Probably won't stay there again.
- Dennis (8/5): - Quaint quiet
- Adrian (8/5): Great customer service - Hotel was good for the price. Also, customer service was great! They also offer coffee and snacks. Good channels for live sports (specifically basketball) because it’s march madness lol
Just needed a place to crash for the night
Will return
- Walter D. (10/5): - The reception at this facility was delightful after many hours of driving.
- Derek (10/5): - Clean, affordable, and the woman that checked me in was very nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): Solid Place - Nothing fancy, does what it says on the box. Comfy bed, shower etc all works, great quick stay for a road trip.
- Carol (4/5): - This motel room # 17 badly needs updating. The sink is stained badly, the toilet isn’t attached to the floor. The toilet paper holder is pulled out of the wall, the carpet is stained, and the coffee pot leaks. The manager at the front desk was very kind and helpful.
- Shirley (6/5): - While the room was clean enough it sure could use some updating!
- Christene (8/5): - The room was cleaning enough, but the office staff was could have been a little more friendly and it was rock entrance and dusty and rocky parking lot
- Kathy (10/5): - The front desk was amazing and very kind and the room was very spacious and clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible customer service - Well I told them that I couldn't come back due to an emergency and ask them to take my belongings out of the room and they said that they wouldn't do that and they would continue charging me until somebody could go and get it I live out of state and then when I did get my items back I'm missing my hard drive with every picture that me and my husband have had together. Not only that but one of the staff members said some very inappropriate things to a co-worker of mine when he went to pick up my items. At which time may I add they had already taken the items out of the room which is what I asked him to do in the first place and they refused simply to get more money from me.
- Kiki (10/5): - The property staff if very friendly. Was super clean and quiet.
- bruce (10/5): - Appreciated the "ground-floor" floor plan; too many new motels nowadays poke Expedia reserved people onto the 3rd floor in the back of the building somewhere (with no elevator). Pretty difficult if your handicapped or even just elderly.
Interstate rooms are on the ground floor, you drive up to your door and unload, what could be more convenient.
We called the office people due to our late arrival, they assured us there was no problem, they stayed and promptly did the check-in personally...
- Patricia (8/5): - Staff doing a great job taking care of an old facility. I felt secure, it was clean and neat. I appreciate this along with a reasonable price.
- Heidi (6/5): If you have to... - Check in was great, gal was nice. Room had a terrible smell to it coming from the AC unit that was almost unbearable to be able to be in. We ended up having to not use it so we could stand to try to sleep and just be in the room. It was hot and not pleasant with no air. Bathroom area could stand to be updated and so could the pillows, they were not good. It was not the most terrible experience, but it also wasn't the most pleasant one either.
- Craig (8/5): Nice Place... - Great place for an overnight. Very friendly front desk person, with a warm welcome. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again...
- Rich (8/5): - Receptionist was great
Great place for a good night sleep while traveling
- Nancy (8/5): - Adequate
- Alynn (6/5): - The room was clean but could use some up keeping as far as cosmetics are concerned. The tub and sink area could use some new caulking and the room we stayed in could use a plumber or at least someone that could deal with the smell from the drain.
- Teresa (10/5): - I like old style motels where you can park in front of your room. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and the a/c worked well. I would stay here again without hesitation. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful also.
- Keith (2/5): - Building room and contents are very very old ,needs to be closed and discontinued not worth half the money
- Jason (10/5): - The office lady was very very nice. Clean rooms
Good parking. When I was there just for the night there was a pursuit with law, they got the vehicle stopped right in front of the motel. 15 police units it was a front row seat. Other than some excitement on the road it was a good stay.
- Andrea (8/5): - Staff was very nice loved being able to park in front of my room
- Anne-Marie (4/5): - Small room, old equipment (safety?), worn-out carpet and armchairs
- Tracy (10/5): Outdated but clean ans comfortable. - Motel was a bit out dated, but room was clean and bed was comfortable. Attendant at check in was very nice. Would stay again if in the area.
- Justin (10/5): - Great hospitality and was very accommodating to everything I needed. Will be staying again!
- SHARLINE (10/5): - .
- Kim (2/5): Don’t waste your money - Old worn out motel. Room was very dated. Floors were soft like they were rotten below the worn out carpet.
- Erin (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and my room was clean and comfortable.
- Steven (10/5): - This is a great classic Inn - not on Route 66, but is like that -- Wonderful clerk, cookies in the lobby, and easy parking with a comfortable room.
A definite recommended stay.
- bryan (10/5): - Location was suitable for our needs. Diner across street was good.
- David (8/5): - The price of the accommodations were what
got my attention. Ir was the most economical in the neighborhood. It is an older facility, but all the amenities we used worked, and it was clean and secure and that is what matters most to us when we tour the country on our motorcycle. The manager was very friendly and helpful whenever we stopped by the office for anything. Would stay again.
- Nancy (10/5): - Nice
- Sherolyn (10/5): Older but Clean - Older hotel with beauty issues, but we found it to be clean and quiet. They should change to unscented laundry detergent as to the scent was overwhelming. But I knew for sure they were clean.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Loved being able to pull up right outside our room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Quiet wasn’t able to other guest. And front desk was very nice and helpful. Already booked for our next trip.
- Deborah (8/5): Good stay - Older hotel, clean but showed age. Bed very comfortable .
- Rhonda (6/5): Quick trip - Ok for a quick stop over. Room was clean and comfortable, just a little dated. It could use some updating . Friends room had the hot and cold water switched. There was a nice area for coffee with some donuts, but the smoke smell was very strong. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful.
- Raven (2/5): - Rude and accusing staff
- Peter (4/5): - It is an old fashoned small town motel. Provided shelter and rest when i needed it. The building was probably never delux, but now its getting worn out too. The lady ar the desk was sweet.
- Jacque (2/5): Don’t waste your money! - Booked my room, and drove to it. Only to arrive a few
Minutes later and the doors were locked with a number to call. The gal told me they closed at 10pm! It was 11:05pm when I arrived. She told me to wait and she came
To the front desk.
I arrived in the room, it was GROSS!!! The sink was yellow/rust stained, the door jam leading into the bathroom was rotted out, there was a terrible drop going from the room into the sink area, that caught me off guard and I almost fell.
The bed was HARD AS A ROCK!
I could not get the tv to work so I did some checking and found the cable box (little black box that had a hdmi and coax cable
coming from it to the tv and wall) so I noticed it was unplugged. I had to pull the tv stand out from the wall and there was so much trash behind there, old papers, lids, on the TV stand was spilled sugar all over it in the corner close to the microwave. Which that was an unsafe situation because they just balanced on edges. The walls had yellow stains from previous smoking being allowed and it smelled terrible!!!! Don’t think any updates have been made since they were built. Terrible terrible terrible!!!
- Rick D (10/5): - The management was very nice and eager to make my stay pleasant
- cassandra (6/5): - Old facility with no upgrades since 70’s. No hot water.
- Jen (10/5): Lovely - Wonderful stay, very sweet lady at the front desk. Clean room warm and cozy. Absolutely will stay again.
- Breanna (4/5): - Place was clean and front desk lady was very nice! I gave a lower rating because there was hardly any hot water for showers and there were loose tiles on the bathroom floor. I nearly tripped over them while carrying a baby and it could’ve been a horrible accident.
- Jonathon (10/5): - Good spot
- Jann (8/5): - Room was ok. Broken soap in tub drain, floor uneven. Older buildings. For the amount it cost, it was fine for one night. Sheets were clean, ac worked, locks on door worked 👍
- Verified traveler (8/5): Budget friendly Inn - Great budget friendly place to stay. Desk staff very polite and welcoming.
- Tom (10/5): Excellent stay. - the Inn was fabulous and quite comfortable. we will stay there AGAIN if we come that way again. really liked the
- Michael (8/5): - Lovely lady checked us in. Dated but clean and a happy overnight in and out.
- Kathy (4/5): - Tv didnt work. Beds and pillows like rocks. Carpet stained and gross
- Jane (8/5): Older hotel, priced was good! - It’s an older hotel could use some maintenance and upgrades but the price is good! We only slept and showered as we were working all day it was perfect for us. The staff and owners were very pleasant. Coffee pots in the room was very pleased with that.
- Ivan (10/5): - overall a nice place to stay
- Kathryn (4/5): - It was very dirty. I know it’s under new management but someone needs to teach the staff how to clean! Also the air conditioner was set too cold!! I was able to turn it off but it was miserable. Both the heater and the air conditioner were very old and dirty. I hope they can turn the place around because it’s conveniently located
- Leo (2/5): - Last night was dirty managers were confused about what rooms were ready that’s great place was in disrepair
- Charles (10/5): - the bathroom door was unable to close because a sill plate was replaced and the door needs to have 1/4" or so taken off.
- Lindsey (2/5): - Had to book late due to lack of vacant hotels . Booked this, hot a confirmation , drove an hour from our destination just to stay here, and the lobby was locked. Paper note said will reopen at 7am . It was about 11:30pm....we ended up having to sleep in our car at a truck stop because we were too tired from a 10 hr drive to go back to casper, which is an hour away .
- PATRICIA (6/5): - Run down hotel
- mrsbrojoe (8/5): Great Value !!! - Delinda at front desk was perfect combination of friendly & efficient. Nothing fancy, mind you, but perfect for quick overnight. Clean & comfortable & park right in front of your own door. Fridge/micro. A/C kept the room nicely cooled off. Free wifi w/enough signal to stream Netflix, etc. and check routing & weather for the rest of the trip. If you want more amenities, plan to pay almost twice as much anywhere else in town!
- U8011PEwilliamf (8/5): Very basic place but has great staff - Not very fancy at all, just the basic place to sleep and take shower. The hotel clerk was very nice and accommodating during our stay. We had to change dates due to the job scope changing and she helped us out. Will definitely come back if we do work out this way again.
- AYAH (4/5): - Sketchy
- LINDA (4/5): - It’s an old motel in need of repair…staff was friendly and kind…
- jdaniels1977 (10/5): Nice quiet place - Small mom and pop hotel. Refrigerator in room with microwave in room. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and I enjoyed my one night stay- Parking lot was well lit and I was comfortable leaving my loaded car parked outside my door.
Overall I was happy with stay and would stay here again in the future. Thank you for the hospitality 1st Interstate Inn.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Right off the interstate and easy to find. Not the closest to the hospital, but not far from it either.
- Robert (4/5): Needs an update - The property needs updating. Carpet needs replacing - didn't want to walk on it without shoes on. Convenient location. Restaurant right across the road.
- BART (4/5): - The room was dirty. Stains on carpet and all chairs. Dust on surfaces. Bathroom was dirty. I cleaned it myself. If there had been another place to stay. We would have left. Windows have no locks and can be easily accessed from outside. We used wooden dowl to jam track. Looked like someone did try to open Bathroom window while we were gone!
Only thing clean was towels and sheets. The place was not overloaded with guests,so would have had time to clean....
- Doug (8/5): - This room was adequate for what we needed. Staff was helpful and friendly. It is an older place but suited our needs
- Alice B. (8/5): - It was pleasing
- Julie (8/5): - Shelley at the front desk was great, very personable and helpful. Motel is like many other roadway inns, a little worn down. But price is reasonable and it has very easy access to the interstate.
- Pamela (4/5): - It was a bed and the sheets/towels were clean, but the rest was pretty dirty still. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.
- Alison (6/5): - Heater/air conditioner subpar
- Debra (10/5): - Older hotel with limited electrical plug ins for charging. Great for the price.
- Rene (10/5): Good nights rest! - Wonderful stay. Clean room and comfortable bed. The charming lady that checked us in was so sweet and very helpful! Definitely recommend!
- John (8/5): - In town for work, comfy bed good size room.
- KF347 (2/5): Never Again! - The room was not clean!!!!!! The floor was not vacuumed. There were clothes on the floor from a previous guest. The room had an odor that did not appear to be from cleaner. The bathroom floor was rather rickety. I slept with my shoes on in case I needed to get up in the night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The standout point of my stay here was that I killed over twenty flies in my room upon my arrival. I threw the dead flies in the toilet and it flushed so poorly that it took two flushed to get rid of them. Also, the shower / tub drained poorly. It filled up while taking a shower, and was draining for probably around 30 minutes. The bed and bedding were clean, so that was the major plus. Also the person running the office was pleasant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Shelli was great and stayed up to check us in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Suite
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Shelly the manager was very accommodating. In fact, she called me to make sure that she had the correct dates for my reservation. First Interstate Inn is like many old highway motels, kind of outdated. But my room was very clean. I loved the sheets on the bed, which was very comfortable.
- Linda (10/5): - Excellent! Clean rooms and quiet!!
- ifar (10/5): - Upon reflecting on my nightstand at the First Interstate Inn I must say I feel more alive than ever my faith in humanity restored God's love set Ablaze once again in my heart
- DDW56 (10/5): A great place - My husband stayed at First Interstate Inn for an overnight stay on his way to MT. His report was the Inn is clean, nice, and great! The staff is very helpful and makes one feel welcomed. The best is the Inn looks like a motel one would see on Route 66!!!
- GD80538 (8/5): Good basic motel - Main office folks were wonderful. The room was clean with everything you need. It's not a fancy place but you can't beat it for the price. Rooms have fridge and microwave which is nice for a long term stay.
- CarrieP468 (10/5): Came for the Jackalopes, Stayed for the History - In a recent visit to Douglas, Wyoming, I stayed with my family in this motel, and I have only great things to say about our experience. We had been searching desperately for a last-minute room to fit our schedule the day before, and this hotel was our saving grace. The lady we talked with over the phone to make reservations was kind, polite, and reassuring. She helped us set up our hotel room for the next night, even though we had called late in the evening. When we arrived, the manager (Shelly) welcomed us and gave us some great suggestions for what to do around the town. We found the rooms pleasant and clean, with nice amenities, all very comfortably arranged. There were two large chairs, two double beds, a flat screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a suitcase stand in our room, as well as ample and very clean sink and counter space. The beds were fresh, very comfortable, and done up crisply, and the towels (and bathroom in general) were immaculate. The price was very reasonable, which we appreciated. In fact, we liked the room and the town so much that we extended our stay an extra night. If we are fortunate enough to come back through Wyoming, we will make a point of staying here again. We recommend this motel wholeheartedly! To Shelly, the manager, thanks again - and our jackalope made it home safely.
- jjpaxton59 (8/5): Clean and good for the price - Stayed here for about a month in may. Front desk was very helpfull and friendly. Room was clean and housekeeping was great There is a gas station and place to eat right across the street and a little church right next door. Price was good and it's right off the interstate.
- 551maddied (10/5): Excellent location, right off the highway. AMAZING SERVICE, and comfy beds. - Rooms were basic, but cozy. The water pressure in the shower was great. Unfortunately the wifi was awful, but overall it was a great place to stay for the night. The manager was very nice! We'd definitely stay there again.
- RoadGuys2 (8/5): Glad I tried again. - Staff is still super friendly. Price cannot be beat. The room was basic but clean and quite comfortable.
There's a pretty good "greasy spoon" style restaurant across the street, other than that it is kind of out in the boonies.
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable low-cost place to crash for the night this is your motel.
