KEITH (2/5): - On Saturday night, the hotel allowed guests to hang out and party and listen to Latin music, I would be pissed if it was 70s rock 'n' roll, but they did so until 1 AM. I tried to go to sleep at 9 PM. The hotel elevator did not work at all. They Travelocity or Expedia site that I booked the room through said that they had breakfast. Their breakfast consisted of coffee, oatmeal, two tangerines, one banana and about eight apples. There was no breakfast. Plus, with the elevator being out of service, it was an absolute chore, taking things up and down the steps to the second floor even. I was cooking in a barbecue contest and needed to sauté some butter garlic and tried to do so on their "stove" and it barely got warm and did not even melt. The tilein the bathroom was coming up and the grout would come up with your foot when you stepped on it. The room itself has plenty of space, and uncomfortable sofa, a comfortable recliner, a so so comfortable bed, but I doubt very seriously if I would ever stay there again. I have been much happier at home2suites, comfort suites, and other hotels in the area. on a scale of one to 10, I would score at 3.5. The hotel clearly has potential, but it is not kept well and most times I had to go down every day and get coffee for my room and half the time when I tried to do that, there was no one stationed at the front desk. So, going up and down the steps to request. Coffee was a pain in the ass. OK, I will change my grade to a 3.0. Sorry!

Then after calling and talking, they had a room I could stay in. Then, they said I lived “too close” to the hotel to rent a room. And, they gave no refund. Would never stay here again.

Only negative was breakfast was only coffee, apples and porridge but no milk. Limited outdoor space to relax but didn't take away from Great accommodation for a couple of nights.

C7670WAstacym (2/5): Rude manager—Holly - I have been having a reservation for over a month but received a phone call Sunday for Holly that informed me my reservation would be cancel because as of May 1, the hotel will no longer host local residents. You have to live 45 minutes or longer away. Once I question the policy in written, she became very rude. I asked for her manager number and refused stating that she is the general manager. Not only did she refuse, she than told me she was putting me on the block list for questioning the policy and that I could never stay there again. After being very rude, she hang up the phone and kept hanging up when I called back. I will continue to reach out until I contact the general manager. Holly does not need to be working in hospitality with an attitude like hers.

The hotel never contacted us to let us know. He had to find another hotel at the last minute, since he was in town for a conference. Our hotel reservation was made about 2 weeks in advance. Will probably not book here again. Very poor customer service!! My husband had even called the hotel earlier that day, and everything was fine for a late checkin, he was told.

The lobby was clear and the staff was friendly, but the tenants around us were loud and moving in and out of rooms all night every night of our stay. The window coverings didnt fully cover the window and the door didnt fully seal. The beds seemed clean but there was a fully exposed box spring with no cover on it (which seemed weird).

This hotel said since we booked through Expedia it is up to us to get it worked out with Expedia. There where other guests with complaints of bugs in there rooms also

kamisha (10/5): - Love the staff and the area it’s by everything and you can walk to it . Now the hotel needs to go floor by floor and do a renovation/ remodel the location is amazing and a plus but the hotel needs a major upgrade asap
Sharon (4/5): - I didn't like the surprise fee for my pet's 75 bucks. I booked the room and said I had two dog's no mention of a fee. That fee was more than half of what the room cost. Absolutely ridiculous. I get a 20 fee but 75 outrageous.
Brittany (6/5): Not So Great Stay... - The hotel lobby was clean, great location, but my room, not so much. The 1st room that was given to me had water and bubbles all over the floor due to a broken dishwasher. When i was assigned to a new room, is reeked for cigarette smoke, one if the beds were lopsided, the bathroom had hair all over the floor and tub. Furthermore, there was trash on the floor on the sides of the beds; which tells me housekeeping is lazy and is rushing on cleaning these rooms. I’ve stayed here before in the past, and I had no issues, but looks like this hotel is becoming ran down. I probably wont be back next time.
Verified traveler (6/5): Gross - The front desk was super friendly and helpful! I can’t say anything bad about her. However, the room was disgusting! It had water damage, boogers on the wall, the toilet felt like it was going to fall apart and it reeked of weed! It was seeping through our room door and we had to smell it all night. I don’t think I would stay here again.
Allison (6/5): - The staff was very inattentive and it took several times to get a correct key to work. I booked a king and got a queen room. The smell of weed was all in the halls constantly and neighbors surrounding my room were loud and in and out of their rooms all night.

LaDarion (4/5): - The property was in the heart of a lot of restaurants and shopping centers. The staff was courteous and handled things within a timely manner. The only downfall was that we saw a couple very large roaches towards the end of our stay as well as a spider. Small pest issue but overall great stay at the hotel

Prateek (6/5): Bad amenities - There were only 3 spoons, 3 forks and 1 knife. No spatula. Also utensils were not suitable to cook. There was no hand soap and it was out of stock. Can you believe this.
Paul (6/5): Just OK - Candlewood Suites are usually a very nice hotel to stay at. This one left a little to be desired. Check in was not very friendly and not informative. The guy behind the plastic screen was very soft spoken and very hard to hear what he was saying. The cabinets in the room were bare. No kitchen wares at all. I asked at the front desk and the guy said that if I wanted anything that I had to call housekeeping. Upon checking out, I could not get a receipt printed. The gal behind the desk said that her printer was not working and that she could not email me my receipt. Kind of need a receipt for a business trip. Overall, pretty disappointing stay.

Heather (4/5): - This property was very disappointing. Having a 4 star review, I was completely let down once walking onto the elevator. You can tell that they are completely short staffed and that the property has no had a good cleaning. Room was very musty and dirty and the air was not cooling our room. I asked the front desk, in which only one person was working, and they told me to use the panel....had to go to a local store to buy a fan to help cool the room off. The next day, my husband goes back to the front desk telling them that our air did not cool our room all night and something needed to be done. We were only then switched to another room.

Cassandra (2/5): Worst Stay Ever!! - It was horrible the hotel had roaches, and the water backed up in the shower the curtains have stains on them, then the walls had paint chips. The Microwave was dirty the hallways needed vacuum there were kids running in and out of the exercise room at 1 o’clock at night I would not be staying again
samuel (2/5): - There was red splashes of something all over the room. Every single dish was dirty. No toilet paper. The room above us had contractors in it with two little children who literally stomped the whole three days. The hotel was booked so they did nothing about it. I drove 935 miles just to not get any sleep on this trip and paid over $600
Douglas (2/5): Inconvenient - I arrived with a pre-paid confirmation @ 3 pm only to be turned away for no availability. Scrambling to find a room took hours...Unacceptable as it was paid for prior to arriving

tomlM460BK (2/5): Overbooked???? WTF????? - Booked for a week-long stay, two months ago. Showed up today to check in, only to have the poor young kid staffing the desk all alone tell us the hotel was OVERBOOKED and we were being sent to a different hotel a mile away! So why couldn't someone call us to tell us of the change BEFORE we arrived? Why were we not told until we ARRIVED after a long day's drive? I can only conclude that management here is utterly incompetent. We have traveled several times a year, for the last 15 years, and NO hotel has EVER pulled this crap on us! So be warned: just because you have a reservation secured with a credit card, that doesn't mean you'll actually be staying here!
Alexandria (4/5): - There are no options to get anything to drink, including water. No vending machine at property and snack shop did not carry in beverages.

Oscar (4/5): - Honestly , the pictures for this property are very deceiving. Overall cleanliness was horrible. Very run down hotel. One guy at the front desk was very nice but most of the time the front is left unattended. Would not recommend anyone stay here.
Design Team Sign Co (10/5): Not as bad as Memphis I guess - Nice place off the main road by the mall. Easy to get to. Small parking lot. Nice staff. TV was average. Like most hotels the pillows sucked. Not the nicest one I've stayed in. Hotel is under new management, Karen walks the premises harassing people in their cars.
