Giovanni (10/5): Great potential, improving fast – worth staying! Italian cousine ❤️ - I stayed at Sole & Luna during a management transition and I can already see a big positive change. The restaurant has recently reopened and they can prepare almost anything on request, including real Italian food, just ask in advance. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, which is not so common in Sri Lanka. The hotel also has a beautiful terrace, perfect for relaxing or doing yoga. The location is excellent, just 40 seconds walk from the beach. The staff was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations about places to visit nearby. Overall, the atmosphere is peaceful and authentic. I also loved the small details like the parrots and the ducks around the property. Some areas are still being improved due to the recent management change, but you can clearly see that the property is getting better very quickly.

The room was big, spacious, super clean and even had a large patio. The ambience of the whole resort was lovely, easy and a great place to stay. So great that I extended my stay twice. The pool was so inviting and relaxing after a warm day. I would highly recommend staying here especially with their reasonable prices. Zero

Sin querer nos llevamos la llave del hotel y enseguida nos pusimos en contacto con ellos. Queríamos pagar el envío por las molestias ocasionadas y no nos dejaron, pagaron ellos. Todo estaba perfecto.

Though we have been told dinner can be taken from hotel, the person in reception direct us to another near by resturant saying he will get a discount but ended up with 11,000/= bill without any reduction .We were only 2 adults and 3 kids below 10. Breakfast so called english breakfast ,was so poor, excuse was they are out of supplies . However ,they served total different menu . Dissapointed.

Short walk to best beach bars in area. Good food in hotel. Friendly helpful staff. 1.5 KM from town but only a few hundred KPR in a taxi. No lifts - only beer available in bar or room service (no wine or spirits)

Adrian (5/5): It was regular. Luckily we did not spent too much time at the hotel. - The bed was comfortable and big. Nice views. Lights were not working good in the bedroom. They scammed me with the laundry, there was one near the hotel that was 600LKR/KG. They told me they would bring it for me and they charged me 1600LKR/KG and did not wash my shoes. Supposedly you can pay by card but they don’t allow you, I had to go with them to the bank to Tangalle while our Uber was waiting, made me lose more than one hour of my life.

Andras (6/5): Mediocre hotel at an amazing location. - The room was nice and large, the beds were comfortable. The staff was relatively helpful. The pool is OK. The Beach is close by. The breakfast was not nice at all: watery juices, cold sausages, toasts and eggs. A simple buffet would have been so much nicer. The pool and the surrounding area is very small compared to the number of rooms and guests. Overall, it is overpriced. Only cash is accepted.

Andrew (7/5): Good value for money hotel in superb location - Very nice location, close enough to Tangalle to tuktuk into the town for restaurants etc but nicely placed outside of the built up area and very close to beautiful beaches. Breakfast good and varied. Really pleasant swimming pool and outside space. Small inconvenience to be told cash payment only on arrival. Expected noise on New Year’s Eve but surprised how long the music lasted in neighbouring places……showing my age now!!
David (8/5): A good family getaway - Its a 50m walk to Red beach from the hotel. Silent beach is a 15 min walk away. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Tangalle. Staff were very friendly. Breakfasts were tasty especially the buffets. Hot water was not always available.

Construction using a hammerdrill to concrete floor above and had to boil the kettle on the floor due to lack of and positioning of power points.

Easy scooter rental directly from the hotel for the usual price. Huge, bright rooms and huge beds. Aircon and fan. Big balcony. There are plenty of restaurants nearby even though they tend to be more expensive than in the town.. easy to get a tuk tuk though for 300-500 rupees. There's a fridge in all the rooms and TV in some. The rooms were clean. Quiet location. Location might not be for everyone. It's a fair bit out of town and action.. The water seemed to smell of mould a bit. The king bed was huge, but very springy and you could feel every movement of the other person.

Darrynvh9 (9/5): Comfortable stay in Tangalle! - Comfortable stay overall. The price was great, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. It was also clean and had a relaxed feeling! There is also a fantastic restaurant on the beach right across the road. The property facilities are a bit run down, possibly from the Covid period. It could do with some upgrades and maintenance. However, the staff are trying their best to make it a comfortable stay for guests.
Viktoriia (10/5): A comfortable and quiet place at an affordable price. - Spacious rooms, a beautiful view of the ocean, a varied breakfast to choose from. I arrived a few hours earlier than the stated check-in time and was immediately accommodated. Convenient location in a quiet place, no noise from cars. Wi-Fi worked well, so I was able to easily combine my vacation with work. Nearby there are several safe and not densely populated beaches where you can relax, sunbathe and swim, as well as available restaurants with delicious and inexpensive local food. If you drive a motorbike, you can rent one here. Not cleaned every day, only on request. Ants in the bathroom.

Colin (8/5): Very good - Light and spacious good value basic hotel. Good breakfast with option for sri Lankan breakfast if requested. Easy to get into town and restaurants by tuk tuk. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Noisey air conditioner unit. Thin grey towels. No bath mat. The curtains in the bedroom are very thin and let a lot of early morning light in.

It is fabulous value for money. - Spacious rooms and lots of space in the hotel Although clean, it is a little tired in places and could do with a lick of paint. The food if you had an evening meal was a bit limited and not inspiring. There are plenty of better options outside.
Natalia (10/5): Comfortable, quite and cozy place. - The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a big family room with 3 beds and big balcony with sea view. Good clean swimming pool. Good breakfasts. Quiet and cozy place. 2-3 minutes to walk to an nearest beach. There are several beaches not far from this hotel. Good Wi-Fi. Only cash payments, but an ATM is 1-2 km from the hotel.
Katelijn (6/5): Okay - The rooms were spacious and the shower had hot water with good pressure. The rooms weren’t clean. When we checked in, there was still a dirty glass in our room from the previous people. Also the sheets were grey and looked like they were used. Breakfast was okay, but not great.

Esini (8/5): It was a good stay! ❤️ - The hotel was very clean and the rooms spacious and airy. Breakfast was well worth the price and the staff were super friendly. The views could be improved. An excellent view of the sea is covered by an overgrown shrubbery in front that gives the hotel an unkempt look. More maintenance is required. Also I feel like there need to be more breakfast options rather than the same menu everyday.
Bev (10/5): Super hotel close to the beach - Modern, clean facilities. Rooms are comfortable with their own balcony.The staff were very friendly and super helpful and the food was delicious. It also has a sparkling swimming pool.. It is a lovely place to stay. 🙏
Divyadeep (10/5): Amazing view, Great Staff (Indunil is a hero!) - Indunil is extremely helping and always meets you with a smile. All his suggestions and recommendations were on point. The breakfast is nice and the property is very well kept and clean. The view from the room is to die for! I had the best time staying there.
Lesley (10/5): Beautiful modern big rooms close to beach - We were upgraded to the oceanview balcony room. The room was modern, really big and the doors to the balcony opened so that the balcony became part of the room. The pool was fantastic. The staff were beautiful and made us feel very welcome. Everything about this place was above our expectations. There are places to eat very close walking distance or 300 rupees in a tuk tuk to get to main beach party area. We loved this place and highly recommend. There is also a beach across the road. Everything was perfect.

Michael (7/5): Very clean, modern and comfortable place to stay. - The hotel was very modern and clean and very comfortable. We went by privately owned tuk tuk and parking was available. The bathroom was big with a separate shower and the airconditioning was adequate for the room. The pool was clean and well maintained. Perhaps due to the economy, the hotel's restaurant had been closed down and therefore breakfast was not available in the morning. Additionally, the facility to pay by card is no longer available, so we had to go into town to withdraw cash.

Santosh (8/5): Great hotel comfortable and affordable. Safe and friendly. - I ha planed to stay 2 days but ended up staying for 6! Great hotel, very comfortable, clean and good size room with amazing view of ocean with a sea view room. You can even see sunrise from there. Bathroom was nice with hot water, ac, fridge and kettle. Location is in the middle of Tangalle, it's a 1 hour walk to Tangalle beech or a 7 min tuk tuk drive but Goyambokka Beach is walking distance 15 mins and is beautiful and much better than Tangalle Beach. Bus stop is out side the hotel where you can travel to Hiriketiya beach, 20 mins on bus and then walk to Dikwella beach. Hotel is walking distance to the main town and bus station aprox 35mins with many ATMs and supermarkets. There is no restaurant open as of yet but you can have breakfast at another hotel for $4 and have lunch/ dinner at red beach cafe opposite the hotel. Staff are nice and friendly. Great choice if you want luxury at a decent price Everything was nice but no food options.
Dmitry (4/5): Outdated hotel in the middle of nowhere with urine smell - The only thing I like was staff. The guys at hotel really amazing and made their best for us. Several disappointing things: 1. Hotel is near the red beach, but in the middle of nowhere in the same time. Almost all infrastructure in the Tangalle town. Even difficult to find where to eat. 2. Red beach has no infrastructure, only 2 ruined umbrellas, 4 sunbeds and dogs. 3. There was a problem with the sewer. Half the time we smelled urine. Also we can hear all our neighbors through the bathroom. 4. The hotel was tired. The air conditioner rumbled like a train so we had to sleep without it.
