A 25 Euro charge for a lost room keycard seems excessive. I had to argue the point with staff who eventually waived the fee.

- Monique (8/5): Fijne rustige uitvalsbasis! - Maison Kalea is een heel fijne uitvalsbasis om Sorrento en de Amalfikust te verkennen. Het ligt net buiten het centrum van Sorrento en daarom rustig gelegen. Prima om te lopen naar het centrum. De kamer was ruim en ook fijn rustig. De dames aan de receptie zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en doen alle moeite om ie te helpen met tips en uitstapjes. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Het ontbijt was oke. Wat we vreemd vonden was dat je na twee koffie de volgende moest betalen. Niet voor het bedrag maar bij een accommodatie met vier sterren verwacht ie dit niet. De douchecabine is redelijk klein.

Staff were very friendly and super helpful. Secure entrance. Breakfast was delicious. Good location, short walk into the main square, a steady uphill walk back, 5 minutes from trip pick-up points and 5 minutes from the fabulous Mamma Che pasta restaurant. Nothing!

I really enjoyed that breakfast was included and the spread every morning covered everything you wanted. I found that the value of accommodation exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was less than a 10 minute walk from the center of town and right across the road from a supermarket and great restaurants. Only a small inconvenience - There were only a few wall plugs in the room we were to charge all of my devices. Otherwise nothing else!

The breakfast was great. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. I wish we could stay longer than 2 days! There was no “do not disturb” sign available for those guests who don’t need change of towels every day. No cheaper options for parking available (it was 25 per day).

- Bartira (9/5): Amazing place, lovely experience!!! - The location is excellent, close to the train station and the city centre. The room was extremely comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was tasty. As vegetarians, we appreciated that Maria prepared fantastic vegetarian meals from the first day. The staff are very friendly and courteous, they gave us an early check-in (around 1pm), they let us leave our luggage there on the checkout. The cleaning of the room every day was perfect. Francesca noticed I was wet from the heavy rain before going to the train station and she offered a hair dryer and an umbrella. Whenever we stay in Italy, we always book rooms with terrace so we can enjoy a drink and relax before dinner. We booked a room with a terrace with them, but upon arrival, we were assigned a room without terrance or city view as was in the ground floor. I immediately requested a room with terrace and showed my booking that says terrace with city view, I booked that room for six days!! The staff said there was nothing she could do and and show no accountability by saying that booking.com was the one to blame for not allowing them advertise rooms without terrace separate to the ones with terrace ( it would be more honest to not add terrace with city view in any options then). They only changed my room after I complained with booking.com saying the room did not match the description. The lady (Naiara) from booking.com was extremely polite and helpful and solve the issue with the hotel. After that they gave me an amazing room with a terrace we were hoping to get since day one. My advice is to definitely stay at this place, but I recommend sending a message to the property beforehand to confirm you get the room with terrace and city view if that is important to you. Otherwise, there should be no issues.

- Ryan (10/5): - The staff was exceptional in accommodating for our late check in. The breakfast was freshly made every morning and is included in the booking. The location is excellent, a light 5 minute walk to the downtown area, easy walk to transportation, etc… Nothing.

A very well presented boutique Hotel Excellent hotel overall but the walk from the main square (Tasso) up a busy road was something of a negative. But it is close to the transport hub
