Guest Reviews
- Steven (10/5): - Small room, sparse, no frills, great restaurant, great common area for hostil. For the price excellent value. If your expectations is hotel rooms then stay at a hotel. Full stop hostel vibe but with sparse safe single rooms.
- Che (10/5): - Room is good, with hot shower, tissue and toothpaste is provided. Clean and cold AC
- ARSEÑITO (10/5): - Value for money
- Mister (4/5): - Stayed in one bed alone. No amenities, extremely small depressing room. Possibly the worst room in Dumaguete
- Haezhel (8/5): - Cozy place, accommodating staff.
- Mercedita (10/5): - It was clean & comfy. The staffs were great & welcoming. Will definitely stay back there.
- Elijah (8/5): Homey - I like the way how it is setup. Very homey.
- Marc (8/5): Good, reasonable & standard for solo travelers - Gabby's B&B is an awesome place to stay if you're a solo traveler looking for some good alone time away from the hustle-and-bustle of the city area. While it's located close to Dumaguete's city center, it's still quite stowed a bit distant to it, which is great if you're looking for some place quite and away from the highway. This also means there's less socializing involved, and a bit of luck is required if you wish to commute to and from Gabby's without renting a motorbike.
The room and continental breakfast is standard and reasonable for the price you pay for.
Overall, a good choice if you need a decent sleep before your next long solo trip.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very basic and uncomfortable - Bed and breakfast itself was nice and had decent WiFi and living area. The room itself was tiny and the beds super hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was only toast, hardly worth it. Would not stay here again. Other places better located and cheaper.
- Kris (10/5): Nice.. Close To Downtown - Hotel staff were very accommodating. Artistic and creative interior.
- GayMarie (8/5): - The room was clean, uniquely decorated and fun although quite small for tall and "big" guests. It should have been nice if there was a hot shower installed as travellers like me need a long, warm bath. The food was a bit pricey although servings were designed for big appetites. I was expecting for more choices for breakfast. During my stay, they only served toasted bread and coffee.
- Genaro (6/5): - The place is far from the main highway and it was difficult to find a ride. Unfortunately during my stay there was a LPA and the roof going has some leaks. There was no facility or service for airline web check in.
- Jose (8/5): - Nice and clean but ac needs cleaning/replacement. You're gonna need to shell out for breakfast for the complimentary one looks more like a light snack.
- Dave (6/5): Backpacker Type Place - I would not stay here again. Although the common area was fine to hang out in. Room was marginal in my view. The breakfast included was like.... toast, and instant coffee. I rented a motorbike, or, it was too far from where anything was going on. Good place to leave your bag if you were going to Apo for a day. No water even provided in room. For a thrifty person, could be an ok value.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never use Expidia again - The room was over priced since I checked same rates on trivago, did u ripe me off absolutely yes will I ever trust u never and I will post it on face book so that I get that message out there. Good luck folding.
- Edzel (6/5): Great food here. - Love their breakfast meals!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The interiors were well-decorated and the food (for breakfast) was consistently good. I only had a problem with the air-conditioning because the room I stayed in (215) had no knobs and so I couldn't adjust it. I spent some nights with a cold back.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Budget hotel with mosquitoes - Budget Hotel. Cheap Rate but there are lots of mosquitoes.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The stay was ok..but the kids did not enjoy because no TV and wifi...Foods are also expensive
- Leonora (2/5): Unsatisfied - When we arrived Gabby's Bed and Breakfast, we can't believed that couple could sleep in 2 single bed, no wardrobe, bathroom too small, the water is smelly. We're not happy our night stay. In that night we rang up Hotels. com to refund our money and they promised us to refund my money within 72 hrs but until now still not in my account. We're back here in Australia.
- Ke (10/5): Wonderful! - This is a really really nice BnB. I travelled alone and stayed in a single room. Comfy room, very clean, working air-con (its one of the noisy ones, so wear ear plugs).
Gabby's is charming! The decor especially. I didn't meet many other travellers as most of the guests seem to be Filipino families/couples, but due to the stable wi-fi, Im staying here again on my way back from Siquijor.
Wonderful value for money as well, considering how comfy it is. The bistro also makes DELICIOUS food.
