- Annisha (6/5): - We had a mixed experience here. The space was absolutely gorgeous and very spacious. The dining options at the lodge were pretty minimal and I overheard a woman complain multiple times about how terrible her dinner was, so we decided not to chance it and go somewhere nearby. But the options nearby are also pretty limited. I think if you’re staying for one night like us, it’s not worth it. But it would be great for multiple nights. Having to leave your keys at the door every time you leave is weird and uncomfortable. And they really need to get more wine options! The lounge is so nice, but four women including myself wanted to drink wine and they only had these terrible mini bottles or two cheap and full bottles. There’s clearly demand, why not supply?

- Robert (10/5): - OH. MY. GOODNESS! What a gem. Perhaps the most favorite of our stays during a three-week long trip through Scotland celebrating our anniversary. The lodge is way from the hustle and bustle of Fort William almost to Ballachullish. But very short drive for seeing the sites in Fort William. The lodge is charming and the staff is wonderful. Very welcoming. The view of the loch from the lodge is spectacular. The large conformable common area housing the very well-stocked whisky bar is the best place to end your day. Staff is extremely knowledgable about whisky. Rooms were clean and super cozy and comfy. Breakfast in the dining room was delicious and always a great way to start the day. Staff offered up great and varied referrals for local places to eat and things to do. We will have very fond memories of this place and the people we met. Highly recommend.

- Brian (10/5): Warm and friendly with beautiful views - Our experience at Creag Mhor Lodge was the best experience we had during a five-stop, two week trip to Scotland and Ireland. The view from room 10, much the same as the view from the lounge, was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer. The best part of our experience was how we were treated. The owners are present and involved and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated Lorna, as she welcomed us and treated us with kindness and warmth the entire time.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great view and environment - The foods menu provided has a simple choice unfortunately it didn't suit our palate. Bed has particular fine balance of firmness and buoyance. There were a couple of finer things can be better but then it would be nit picking.

- Yi Dawn (10/5): - Our night in Creag Mhor Lodge wrapped up our week long trip in the Highlands and it was a great way to end the trip. The service was warm and helpful, breakfast was lovely and the room was really spacious and comfortable.

Wonderful bar area with really pretty seating for quite a few people - tastefully arranged. The bar had a large variety of whiskies and the staff knew what she was talking about and introduced us to new distilleries based on our preferences. - we enjoyed our stay with this lodge.
- Gregory (4/5): - This is advertised as a four star hotel but it's really about 2 1/2. They have a nice sitting room and a bar but very limited dining options, and it's not really within walking distance of any place other than a gas station. Also, the water pressure is awful--it's like taking a shower with a water fountain. They do have a notice in the bathoom that says something like "our building is old and we want to preserve that so the water pressure isn't very good". But they should put that on their website. Also, many of the rooms (including mine) are right next to a busy highway--difficult to sleep. And, while the check-in clerk was pleasant, the manager was very rude.

The lodge itself is full of charm—an elegant, historic building with stunning views of Loch Linnhe right from the front door. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, scenic, and authentically Highland then this is the perfect place. I’d return in a heartbeat.

The parlor is absolutely stunning. We loved the breakfasts which were nutritious and delicious to get us ready for day long hikes. Thank you staff at Craeg Mhor. We hope the puzzle got finished!

The owners are extremely welcoming, and offer their hospitality by way of a peaceful retreat in a relaxed, elegant environment. As we were checking out, I learned that they were short staffed. We had no idea, as everything ran like clockwork, and the owners and staff were a highly efficient team. We hope to be able to come back a forth time.

- Karen (10/5): - We can not say enough about the staff (we called them the three amigas) that is the face of this lovely bed and breakfast. Everything thought of in the rooms so you don’t have to. Breakfast in the breakfast room was delightful with great continental and hot food items. At the end of a great and strenuous day of hiking, they give you the option of having a home cooked meal down in the lounge with your whiskey chosen from a deep and varied selection or a house made cocktail, wine or beer. The vistas are incredible outside your window. It’s also positioned perfectly for Glencoe hikes or a day at Ben Nevis. We cannot say enough good things about Creag Mhor. We hope to be back soon and I hope it’s stays as perfect as it is upon our return. Thank you for making our stay as lovely as it was, Angela and Team.
- Carlotta (6/5): - The property had a great view. The owners lock the place up until exactly 4pm when you can check in. They have a lounge and could have people sit there until check in time; we waited in our car in the rain. When you leave, you have to give them your key--a security risk. There are signs with rules everywhere. I don't think they trust people at all. The must have had some bad experiences. It seemed like a prison atmosphere with a great view.

- Luke (10/5): Excellent Stay at Creag Mhor Lodge - Our stay at the Creag Mhor Lodge was excellent. The location is fantastic being close to the Three Sisters hiking point and Fort William. The staff were incredibly helpful and breakfast was great both mornings. We ate dinner one night and it was also great. The view from the main room area was incredible both nights with the whiskey bar in the building. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of space. Everything was very clean and nicely updated.
- Allison (10/5): Great Room, Great Staff, Great Service, Great Stay - I could not recommend this bed and breakfast more! My husband and I came to Glencoe to renew our vows and we booked one of the Deluxe Suites here. The room was wonderful. It was clean, spacious and cozy. The views of the loch from our room and from the Lodge itself are just breathtaking. Their breakfast service was so nice. They have a table dedicated to each room, so there no worrying about finding a place to sit, you tell them what you'd like the night before and they have it ready for you to enjoy in the morning. The food was so delicious as well. In the evening, if you don't want to go out for dinner you can order pizza from their bar, which was also delicious. The staff was super friendly, and the lodge itself is gorgeous and well maintained. If we ever visit Scotland again I would definitely stay here!

- Tonya (8/5): Beautiful views, very nice room - It’s a beautiful place to stay. We had a lovely room, the view was excellent. The bed was super comfy and the linens were beautiful. The tub was great. My only advice would be make sure you have a car. There is nothing around, and it’s a 25-30 pound taxi into Fort William. We took a bus but it was a 20 minute walk and runs on the hour. The hotel has a small menu and the food was nice. They have a nice lounge and bar.

The downstairs bar which offers relaxed dining options was brilliant, great vibe. Home-cooked food was great and saved us having to drive anywhere after a long day exploring. It’s about 20 minutes to Fort William for food so staying in was good! Parking on site was easy. Highly recommend.

Nothing like sitting in the bar having a dram and taking in the breathing view, or sitting by the fire enjoying a cheese board or a dessert. All of the staff were kind, attentive and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Everyone from the owner, to the young lady who served us meals to Angela our whiskey guide were fantastic hosts. The breakfast was excellent continental style with hot cook to order options. I had the full Scottish and was not disappointed. We will definitely be back to stay with them.

- Teresa (10/5): Historical beauty - Friendly welcoming staff, gorgeous views. The Inn was beautifully restored. Our room was well appointed, comfortable and very roomy. We had a lovely home cooked dinnner and the bar was a delightful addition.
- STEVEN (10/5): - We can't recommend Creag Mhor Lodge enough. Great location overlooking the Loch, comfortable rooms, and lots of character. Had a wonderful dinner in a cozy setting with other visitors and Clare gave us a much needed lesson on the many varieties of Scotch whiskeys. On top of it all, I left my Kindle on a table in our room and they kindly shipped it to my hotel in Edinburgh to pick up on our last day. Thanks again!!!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay! - What a wonderful place to stay. If you are a scotch drinker, you will taste some great ones and learn more! Staff is amazing and for a B&B, you can actually get a light dinner!
- Anne (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay here. From the warm welcome at the desk when we arrived, to the cozy atmosphere in the bar. Having dining options at the bar so that we could just stay put and not have to head out to eat was brilliant. The food and drink was lovely! Our room was amazing, large, with a fantastic view out over the Loch. We would absolutely love to make a return to this area of Scotland and stay a few more nights with the lovely people at the lodge!

- Margaret (8/5): - The staff here were very nice, warm and friendly. The building was lovely. Lovely view from our room. Our room was nice but seemed damp, towels did not dry during the day and the mattress was a little firmer than I like. We found the rules to be a little restrictive, doors locked between 1 and 4 and after 10. Dinner was nice but the prices of the food and drinks was high. Breakfast was good!
- Shay (6/5): Not worth the price charged - The experience and service offering did not offer value for the price charged. This is an old building and is well kept but it needs modernising. Bathroom had no shower and we had to step into a very high bath to shower, there is whole safety issue here and no handles on the wall to help climb in and out. The hot water in the shower was scalding and we could never regulate the temperature or water pressure. For the price we have expected a bottle of drinking water in the room but this was not offered. Breakfast was at best, mediocre and disappointing. We had to decide the night before what we wanted, the choice of hot food was poor and there was no facilitating any request for simple change, I requested poached egg and told its only what's on the menu, so it's scrambled egg or nothing. Clearly the breakfast is made sometime before you sit at the table, as I had only sat down to eat my cereal and out came the hot food, you feel rushed. The bar has a great selection of whiskeys and the staff do walk you through the different brands. Evening menu is very limited and kitchen closes at 8pm. Staff where very polite and friendly and the view from our bedroom was magnificent. Overall I came away disappointed as I had higher expectations based on the ratings and price charged. I would stay again if they improved the level of service or reduced the price. It's not good value for money as we stayed in other hotels on our holiday which were substantially cheaper with quality service.
