• Ann (9/5): A great place to stay, with a wonderful staff! - The location was incredible and close to everything you could want to do in West Bay. The staff members were welcoming, attentive, and friendly. It is a family run hotel that has been around a long time, and we loved speaking with them and learning about the history of the hotel. The rooms were large, clean, and well-appointed, with thoughtful little touches to make guests feel special. The beds were comfortable and having kitchen facilities in the room was very convenient. We loved our first room (beachfront bungalow) but we had an issue with an odor coming through the air conditioning vent because if its proximity to the boat dock. Mr. Foster himself (who was usually on site) did not hesitate to make it right, and upgraded us to an even nicer room, and he even offered to buy us breakfast! The bathroom shower could use a little updating, and sometimes they played the music a little too loud in the bar area, but otherwise, no complaints!

• Diane (6/5): All in all, it was a good stay. Definitely rustic but proximity and price are worth it. - Location was excellent. Our room was overlooking the sand, and we had a nice mix of sun and shade. Our top balcony was a little treacherous to get to and even worse coming down so maybe a handrail or spiral staircase might safer but still really nice to have. The fridge was huge and the beds comfty. AC worked well and there were also ceiling fans. TV worked well and there were lots of English channels. The shower was large but needed a lot of fix ups and the water pressure was not very strong. I had trouble rinsing my hair. There wasn't any space outside our room for shoes, and I had tramping in sand, so I went and bought a broom at the little store 100 ft away (bonus to have it so close). I did see one, just one, cockroach on our first day but it killed it and never saw another, despite being on "High alert" It's to be expected in tropical countries and I've seen many in all different types of resorts, but it still gives me the creepies.

Mr foster was there most days working with staff and was great to talk to about the history of roatan The web site did not do justice to the property and its location

На веранде гамак, диван, стол и 4 стула. Пляж в 20 метрах. Это не отдельное бунгало, а номер на втором этаже. По вечерам много москитов.

• LEROY (6/5): Very boring but relaxing and Emily the manager is very nice ! - Room is large with a nice terrasse but almost nothing to do in this beach except enjoying a relaxing moment. Breakfast is not included but the beach beds are free for hotel guests ! Dirty water evacuations just at the foot of this resort so the smell and hygiene can be terrible . Use the bridge and do not cross walking on this dirty sandy section as so many people do daily .. beurk ! The beach is nice but clearly not the crystal water we expected

• Sara (6/5): Great location but double standard room is not worth it. - It’s an incredible location, you open the door of your room and you’re on the beach. And from the pictures the other rooms look nice. The cleaning service was really good, they changed our towels everyday (they don’t dry up overnight because of humidity). We booked a standard double room and ours was dark(dark wooden slats cladding the walls) and we booked it specifically for the kitchen, which in all honesty wasn’t really functional, as it had no light and wasn’t sufficiently equipped. It wasn’t really clear from the pictures that there’s no covered common space where to hang out if it rains. During our stay it rained quite a lot and we had to stay in the room, which felt a bit like a cave, and we didn’t really enjoy it. Also it wasn’t possible to open the windows of the room and to change the air we had to leave the door open. In our room there were A LOT of mosquitos and even putting a super strong repellent didn’t fix the fact they fly into your ears when you’re trying to sleep. I advise to bring mosquito plugs. (They weren’t sold anywhere) The restaurant closeby has very loud music.

• Kaylen (5/5): Bare bones, but totally met our needs. A/C to cool us - Right on the beach; close to tour operators and restaurants. Spacious room, well-equipped kitchen, great air conditioner, private balcony overlooking the beach and sea. LOVED the water dispenser in the room Little things…door key was VERY hard to get out of the lock; music from the bar/restaurant started early and ended late; several ceiling fans/lights were on a singular switch. Had to stand on a chair to pull the cord to turn off the light (if you tried to just turn off lights , it also turned off fans.) The office was always dark and closed, but if you tried the door, someone was almost always inside. (So odd!) Synthetic sheets made for a sweaty night’s sleep; no lock on balcony sliding door, so it didn’t feel safe for me. The location was GREAT! Loved the water cooler in the room; a/c worked well. Hot water was tough to come by. Felt like visiting cousins — you know they want you to be happy but don’t know you’re relying on them to make you happy. Ignore the lack of hot water in the shower and relax; celebrate the view; walk steps down the beach to find a snorkeling tour; watch the waves roll in as you sip your cappuccino and wait for your boatmen to come aboard. Best day ever.

Had to walk the whole length of the beach to get to good snorkeling area. We had to ask for things that should have been supplied to the room.

• Jennifer (4/5): - The only thing good about Foster’s was the location & view. Mr Daniel was also great too. The property is not very clean, we turned the faucets on when we got there and had nothing come out of the hot side at all. We complained and they said they fixed it. It wasn’t much better… the shower had a trickle come out, at best. No a/c in the bathroom, so they kept the windows open- with no screens, and 99 degrees, 88% humidity. By the time you took a “shower” in the barely trickling water, and the sweat and bug bites were extreme. -The bed felt like a brick, and was MISERABLE. -We asked before coming if there was a safe in the room, and they said yes. (There ended up being 2) but neither worked and the keys were gone. -The property has a “lagoon” coming across the front of it, and pouring into the ocean each time it rains. Workers said it is just rain water that dumps when it gets full, but it smells like 100% sewer, and so awful. -the property claims a kitchenette, and although the cabinets are loaded with pans, there is mo stove, and the microwave would not pop a bag of popcorn. -They do have an onsite restaurant, but it is way overpriced compared to the other restaurants in the area. My husband ordered orange juice and received some sort of powder “tang” mix. This restaurant also added in a tip on the bill, as well as gratuity! Location of the property was amazing was amazing, but they need to desperately put some money into the property, and get it cleaned up.
• jill (8/5): Perfect for a night stay while staying in West End the rest of the week. - We were given an early check in and a complimentary birthday drink! The casitas are away from the bar and beach area which was nice. Lots of parking available. The sand around the units was raked regularly which was nice for sand flea control. It is a fair walk to the end to Infinity Bay for snorkeling, not too far but something to take into consideration if you aren't into beach walking. The restaurant next door with the pier was great and a good value. Their is a ROA market on the beach very close to purchase drinks. There were loads of beach chairs to accommodate cruise ship people coming for a few hours during the early part of the day. I can't imagine what it would be like if all of the chairs were filled. The location is at the end of West Bay. The restaurant menu was not very interesting and was priced high.
• Lauren (9/5): Good stay with a great location - The room was great for what I needed and had a refrigerator and water cooler. The shared deck had a great view of the beach and ocean and had hammocks. The location was nice, at the end of the busy beach so more private. There is a lot do to in this area with restaurants and bars, paid activities, and wonderful snorkeling right off the beach. The shower could have been cleaned better and the water was backing up. A coffee pot in the room would have been nice.

• Brian (2/5): Was ok for the first three days but was a nightmare during the last night. - Close to the beach The last night of the stay a possum size mammal broke through the ceiling of the kitchen around midnight. It hid in the bedroom until chased out through an open door. The animal defecated through out the bedroom and bathroom. We were unable to sleep that night. One of the occupants got an infection from the animal.

We covered drains for sewer flys. They rent beach chairs so packed like sardines. 4 boomboxes all playing at once you couldn’t enjoy the beach on some days. The office didn’t care

• Raymond (2/5): Caters to Cruise Ship Visitors and Not Paying Guests - The view of the water from room 3b and the large covered porch. Foster's is more concerned with renting beach chairs and space to cruise ship visitors and could care less about the people who paid to stay at the resort. The staff is NOT friendly and even Foster himself was grouchy and not welcoming. I would NOT recommend this resort (pay more and stay at a much nicer resort on West Bay Beach like Mayan Princess or Bananarama) and would NOT consider staying there again. The person attending the bar/restaurant was too busy playing on her phone and would not give us the time of day. We ate all our meals at the other resorts (and had great experiences). Also, the hot water did not work--cold showers only. Notified the staff and nothing was done. Maybe hot water was an extra cost? In summary, a very disappointing experience.

Def - The location was amazing, the view, I could see the ocean from my bed and listen to the waves. There were a few features that were outdated and rusty but didn’t really bother me.

I kept trying to contact the desk person no one answered and no one reached out to me at least for an explanation or courtesy I was expecting to hear We give you a discount for the inconvenience for next staying in our hotel that was very disappointing to me.

• David (8/5): Great location and value - We had a room on a second floor overlooking the beach. Breakfasts on the patio (use the kitchen to make your own, hail a passing-by banana bread or pineapple vender, or carry up from the restaurant) were gorgeous. Inside our room's A/C was strong and so appreciated - boosted by three ceiling fans and another floor fan. Clean room and beds. Helpful, friendly staff. Easy access to beach (steps away) and short walk to other sites and activity venders. Onsite (3rd party) activity vender booth had lower prices. Good value. Office managers were - Miranda and Emily - were amazing. Room needs a little maintenance: broken glass block at foot of shower, broken toilet paper dispenser, patio door lock broken. No fire extinguishers to be found. Pool was small and not attractive.

• Sandy (10/5): In love with this place! Hope to come back soon!! - I love the location and the staff is super nice, warm and welcoming. They walk you to your room and show you around. They have security walking around all day/night and the pool is open all day and night. The bungalows are spacious, clean and in front of the beautiful, pristine beach. It honestly felt like paradise!! There’s nothing I didn’t like other than not being able to stay longer.

• Eva (10/5): trust me, the best option in west bay! - 1st. the location, it’s just amazing, bungalow water front, sunshines and sunsets were spectacular, when the rest of the beach was crowded, we had quiet and relaxing time, at the same time near from everything… restaurant and the new supermarket just few steps from the hotel. the massage ladies fighting between the one in the hotel and the ones who are walking around the beach. the hotel food it’s not good neither fresh, but are many places around to go to eat. needs more kitchen supplies.
