Guest Reviews
- Pauline (10/5): - We had an amazing experience out there.
Friendly owners, calm and quiet location, plentiful breakfast. It's such a nice place surrounded by nature.
Best place to stay to visit the region and to avoid the busy kusadasi.
- sonia (9/5): -
- Giuseppe (10/5): -
- Waxman (10/5): Property was wonderful but owners made it truly personal experience. - Spacious, old style room, delightful terrace and outdoor common area, delicious breakfast, great village location, wonderful and helpful owners. Nothing, ALL was good.
- Charles (8/5): - The owner Jem was very kind and helpful with our 6 month old baby providing a high chair and small heater in the breakfast room and use of a microwave to sterilise bottles and a fridge.
It's a peaceful and quiet area and not touristy especially if you were just before the season (early April) as we were.
He also gave us advice about local places to visit- both Priene and Miletus ancient sites are brilliant, close by and better than Ephesus (and a lot cheaper 3-6 euros Vs 52 euros), Miletus was partially flooded which was beautiful with wild flowers and the water against the columns. You can walk to Priene from the accommodation and spend the day there.
We also visited Lake Bafa and the Milipark peninsula (although the cafes were still closed). On the last days there was some building work, but Jem explained it was unavoidable to happen then as it had been raining a lot before that date and he was doing it before the main tourist season and he tried to keep disruption to a minimum.

- Antonella (10/5): A cozy place - Everything! The house, the garden, the hospitality of the owner. A real gem. I will definitely stay here again if I pass by. The owner is a very kind and helpful person. Everything at the stay was perfect.
- Fabian (8/5): -
- Morgane (10/5): -
- Maria (10/5): -
- Adriana (10/5): Fantàstic! - Ubicació fantàstica i tranquila. Ambient rural sense faltar detall.
Super freundliche Gastgeber. Parkplatz direkt davor. Wir würden sehr gerne wiederkommen!
- Jane (9/5): A perfect spot for peace and quiet but with great places to visit. - If you are looking for a great stay in a small, calm guesthouse in the hills near several ancient sites, seaside and two excellent restaurants very close by. Then this is the place for you. The host could not have been kinder or more helpful Not really anything to dislike as long as you are not looking for bright lights and a nightlife.
- Bentvelsen (9/5): -
- Nevena (10/5): If you are in this area and need to stay somewhere don't miss this place. - We liked everything in this place. It is a small town very quit and the house is on the hill with wonderful view. Rooms and bathrooms were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and above all the kindness and friendliness of the host. The swimming pool is inviting and I had nice swim there. We were touring that part of Turkey and visiting historical sites. Hosts informed us about Priene ruins in the neighborhood, which we would otherwise miss. Thank you for that. It was fantastic experience. Thank you for everything. nothing
- Christopher (10/5): - quiet, comfortable, stylish room.
- Agnieszka (10/5): Super nocleg, polecamy - Piękne miejsce z klimatem.

- Federica (9/5): -
- Annabel (10/5): Hidden gem in Turkey! - We highly recommend booking an apartment here for a few days. If you’re looking for a beautiful accommodation, a delicious breakfast, warm and welcoming hosts, and an authentic local/Turkish experience, all in a location close to some good restaurants, nature, and beaches; Bahab Guest House is then the perfect choice!
Some highlights besides Bahab Guest House for us were: hiking around Bafa Lake and seeing the flamengos, visiting the local market (bazar) on Wednesday at Söke, dining at Gelebec Cafe Restaurant (3 min walk!), going for beachday at Karasu Plaji and seeing the wild pumbaa’s
Jam, thank you very much for the pleasant talls, your kindness, and our best wishes to Cookie, Lady, and the cat mom with her two kittens :-)
Belle piscine Rien
- josep maria (10/5): -
- Charlotte (10/5): It felt like staying with family, genuinely warm and friendly welcome. Help given and very good advice. - Serene, beautiful and the most wonderful hosts!
Loved the breakfast. Hands down our best stay in Turkey. A real Gem! :) Nothing
- Tony (10/5): Best accomodation we have stayed in Turkey - We loved everything about this place. Cem and his Wife were great hosts, we very much felt welcome and enjoyed our conversations with Cem. We already miss Cookie and Lady, the cute little dogs. The location is very peaceful, walking distance to various shops and restaurants without the hussle and noise of staying in a town/city. You can also walk to the Prienne Ruins were were very nice, you might even get escorted by the local dogs all the way which we did. There are also some nice beaches with crystal clear water in the national park nearby(where there are wild boar). Oh and the breakfast was incredable too. Having to leave
- Milla (10/5): We had a lovely time and felt recharged after our stay. Our host was amazing, super kind, generous and very helpful! We - Everything was amazing. The food was super delicious and the rooms were lovely decorated and clean. We felt super relaxed and welcomed and enjoyed our stay very much!

Colazione spaziale. Super buona e abbondante. Tutto bello
- Fabio (10/5): Lovely place to explore the Turkish Aegean coast and surroundings - I had a wonderful stay at Bahab Guest House. The property is spotless, comfortable, and full of character. The location is excellent – quiet and relaxing, yet very convenient for exploring the area.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly kind and attentive, always ready with helpful tips and recommendations. They truly make you feel at home.
Breakfast was delicious, with fresh and local products, and served with great care.
Overall, a perfect place to stay if you want both comfort and a genuine, warm experience in Turkey. Highly recommended!
- SERDAR YUSUF (6/5): - Location and comfort
- Bilgehan (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy guest house with friendly owners. Calming and relaxing atmosphere and great breakfasts with local dishes.
The hosts are a really sweet hospitable couple that made us feel welcomed and accommodated our needs.
Stylish room with the stone interior is an amazing escape from the summer heat. We had a terrace with the view into the garden with lots of green and blooming plants.
Highly recommend.
- Richie (9/5): Superb - I have such pension house, which is one of best I have ever experience! No
Tavsiye ederim.
- Lynne (10/5): Village delight - This guesthouse is is in beautifully converted village houses. Rooms and baths are excellent. Breakfasts are superb.
Beyond that, you will soon feel enveloped in village hospitality--not just the guesthouse, but all the local restaurants we visited, were extremely welcoming. Cem, the guesthouse owner, is a delightful multilingual man who will help point you to the best local options if you wish. We especially enjoyed the hillside walk to Priene, a rare almost purely Hellenistic city ruin spread across a breezy pine forest high above the valley. But Bahab is an oasis that works excellently as a base for many sites, including Miletus, Ephesus and even Afrodesia. There is really nothing to criticize here. One recent review complained of construction noise, but it was no longer an issue when we stayed in early June 2025.
- Christina (10/5): Great Turkish hospitality in convenient guesthouse in beautiful and culturally rich environment. - We had a very great stay at Bahab guesthouse. Cem and his wife are wonderful hosts, making you easily feel comfortable and relaxed. The room is beautifully furnished, good bed. Nice place to sit outside, in sun or shade. Breakfast was great with home made marmelades, and lovely fried eggs and the Turkish specialities. Cem offers several suggestions for good food (great restaurant with Turkish kitchen in the village, and interesting places in direct or further environment. We planned to stay 2 days but decided to come back for a few more days on this special spot. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful environment: a little village looking over the former sea, in antique times, now totally sanded. From the guesthouse you can make visits to the most beautiful antique places in Western Turkey: Epheses, of course, but also beautiful Milete, on walking distance from the guesthouse: Priene, and also on less than an hour drive, several less well known but well kept secrets from antique times. Nothing, the only regret was that we did not plan more days to stay!
- At (2/5): I do NOT recommend this place until reconstruction is finished. - Large clean rooms, comfortable beds, and good bathrooms. Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. Two dogs, two cats, and four kittens living there are affectionate and playful. The owners were friendly, polite, and attentive to our requests. Unfortunately, the owner’s territory is currently undergoing major long-term expansion and reconstruction. Therefore, instead of heavenly peaceful oasis (described by previous visitors), we stayed on the side of the big construction site, with a trampled grass yard facing ugly tarp and a temporary metal fence separating the yard from the work zone. Morning and midday outdoor privacy did not exist, as workers starting at 8am could closely see room patios over the fence. We arrived and were leaving to the sound of the tractor's jackhammer. Take a look at the attached photos.
Another small but unpleasant detail: the owner offered us Turkish coffee but did not say that he would charge (and did charge) about $2 per cup at checkout.
- Ortrun (10/5): The perfect base for seeing Priene, Milet and Didyma - This guesthouse is the perfect base for exploring Priene and Milet, possibly also Didyma (the latter is not an attractive town to stay, so it's worth the drive back to Bahab). The property is a short drive up from the main road through the village (over spiky heritage cobblestones). The room was beautifully furnished, very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Easy parking on the premises. There is an idyllic garden, and it's super quiet (no music, juhu!). Very good breakfast. The host (fluent English speaker) was super helpful: on a Monday, the two restaurants just minutes away were closed, so he drove me to and from a restaurant in the village as I was not keen to brave the cobblestones again in my small hire car. I am still grateful. The one thing I missed a bit: there's no fridge in the room. Although the hosts offered the use of theirs and provided ice cold mineral water.
- Nuno (10/5): Amazing stay on our way to Ephesus - The most comfortable night we had in Turkey! Spacious apartment, very well decorated and great bathroom. Exceptional breakfast which we could have on our balcony outside. We were very friendly welcomed even though we arrived at night. Thank you Mr Cem and family for the warm welcome and stay! Nothing we didn’t like :)
- Nadine (10/5): Beautiful mountain house - My mother and I had an amazing time staying at Behab House. The hosts were wonderful and provided great recommendations for restaurants and local specialties. The house is within hiking distance of the ancient city of Priene. Also the beds have memory foam pillows, I had an amazing night of sleep. I wish we stayed longer !
- Jeffrey (10/5): A great guest house, several excellent restaurants nearby and numerous places of scenic and historical interest to visit - Located in a picturesque village, an excellent place to explore Priene, Miletus and even Lake Bafa.
The owner, Cem, is very obliging and incredibly helpful; nothing seems to be too much for him. It was excellent; no complaints. I was so impressed that I stayed for an extra night.
- Nelly (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent guest house!
The owner is very gentle and helpful, with a lot of advice for the surroundings sites.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was huge, with fresh food.
- Vera (10/5): In the middle of nature with the view - I was fantastic experience, very nice locations in old Greek village, on top of a hill with the view, landlord family restored houses and gave it another life, very cozy room fully equipped, amazing tasty breakfast in a stylish place with fireplace, fresh repairment, there are new rooms with fantastic view going to be available, hope to come back soon
- Michael (8/5): - This is a good choice if you like authentic village settings - and dogs and cats! It's in a small stone village where the owner is renovating small cottages and turning them into tasteful guest accommodation. He's doing a nice job and is very helpful and friendly. He has a sweet little dog who lives in the breakfast area and there are other dogs and probably six friendly cats around, so dog and cat lovers rejoice!
It feels very authentic and it's very clean. It's one of those many stone villages in the area that is being refurbished and rebuilt.
- Dimitrios (9/5): comfortable guesthouse, nice yard to enjoy breakfast outdoors, friendly and helpful host -
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - Place, kind people, everything for relax.
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional - The host, was fantastic, so interested in history, we learned so much. The room was fantastic, the garden great. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. We felt like home!
Heel speciaal.
- Azlina (10/5): Charming bed and breakfast in a lovely village - The property is delightful, very rustic, homey, clean and comfortable. Water pressure and hot water was good. The decor was very homey. The garden and courtyard was lush with colourful flowers. Bed was firm. Toilet small but sufficient. Breakfast was excellent. The host cooked gözleme for us. Very friendly hosts and entertained us even thought they had a flight to catch. The surrounding village was very clean and charming. We recommend having dinner at the restaurant recommended by our hosts.
Overall we highly recommended this charming bed and breakfast
- Arda (10/5): Exceptional - Doesn’t get any better than stone houses as rooms in a quiet village, with a fantastic Turkish breakfast every morning. Mr. Cem is also a very welcoming host. He answered all our questions and provided us with recommendations in the area.
- Serghigo (10/5): Exceptional - We liked everything. Jam
and his wife are fantastic hosts Always smiling, always something to entertain you ( mountains figures, water melon, tea) . Cats are the real owners of the place and thy are adorable. Dont forget to book in advance for dinner. You won't be disappointed. I wish we could come back soo Nothing
- Davide (8/5): Very good -
- Ahmet (9/5): Superb -
- Y (10/5): Outstanding - Outstanding!
It has a fantastic setting overlooked by gorgeous mountain, beautiful courtyard, comfortable and clean rooms, delicious homemade food! Best of all, it’s the very knowledgeable and friendly owners who reflected their life philosophy (Bahab) in every corner of the B&B, with their hospitality making all the differences during our stay. We felt at home from the first moment we entered. Highly recommended, especially if you are after an authentic and unique holiday experience in a location surrounded by amazing natural beauties, Dilek National Park with flamingos and pelicans, numerous world famous ancient and historic sites, crystal clear inviting sea & beaches, Bafa Lake with excellent geological scenery and ancient sites…Hope to go back again as soon as another opportunity arises!
- Antonio (10/5): Just perfect - It is a small charming hotel, located 5 minutes by car from the splendid ruins of ancient Priene that I recommend visiting at sunset when they shine through the forest. The hotel is full of tranquility and beauty, with an owner who is dedicated to making your stay perfect. The room is very tastefully decorated in an old local style, with a large bathroom and quality sheets and towels. Breakfast, served in the charming central patio, was magnificent, all with local, homemade products. Also, we had dinner at the accommodation, a very special, romantic dinner, very abundant and of extraordinary quality. I reiterate my congratulations.
- Risa (10/5): - Nice quiet environment, very local and not many tourist. We had a hired car and great location to drive to many historical places.
Very friendly helpful owner and we received a warm welcome. Lovely Turkish style breakfast was served in the beautiful garden every morning. Love to go back again in the very near future!
- Mary (10/5): Hidden gem - Very friendly and welcoming host. We got a room upgrade so we had an even more spacious room. The room was well-equipped with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was also very good. Quiet but well-located for exploring Prienne, Miletus and Didyma. Nice garden with friendly dog and playful kittens. There are some stray dogs on the street so good to be careful at night - not the fault of the hotel though
- Camilla (10/5): - Homey, authentic hospitality in a tranquil little oasis. Highly recommend!
- Eugen (10/5): Turkiye Hidden Gem - Wonderful stay with Cem and his wife. Both are genuine, compassionate people. Best breakfast during our whole Turkiye trip. Gorgeous old stone house and courtyard with colorful flowers set on a hillside with a view of the entire valley below. Nearby ruins of Priene and Miletus were very cool, and the local abandoned church and restaurant with live music felt truly authentic in this small town. Centrally located between Ephesus and Bodrum made for easy day trips to both. Highly recommend 👌
- Dave (10/5): Ideal for local trips to historic sites - A lovely place to stay. Cem, the owner, is a really lovely guy and you will feel well looked after. Great breakfast, and good places to eat very nearby in the village. Plus, Cookie, the dog is gorgeous. If you’re not a dog person he won’t bother you, but if you are, you’ll want to take him home with you.
- Abbie (9/5): Excellent Bed and Breakfast experience. - Lovely B&B. Excellent hosts. Nice room. Great breakfast.
- Rolf (10/5): - Everything is just perfect here! Great location, spotless clean, well furnished and equipped rooms. Beautiful blooming garden and lovely, old, quiet area. But most important: super helpful hosts! Cam and his wife made really everything to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We were travelling with our 8month old son and he enjoyed staying here as well a lot. Breakfast is simply delicious. Great location as you can visit many intresting places in this area. Wish hosts good luck and hope to see again.
- Camille (10/5): We felt like at home with our 2 kids ! Food is delicious ! Thanks for a very charming and welcoming stay - Cem and his wife are adorable meeting all our requests
- Stefan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Property, room, food but more than anything our hosts. :-) Simply wonderful people who truly care about their guests. Including not only great insights into what one can do in the area but also great conversations. Thank you so much!
- Floriane (8/5): Beautiful little place, located away from the crowds but close to sites - This is a little guest house where you really feel at home, you are welcome like a family member. The rooms are big, the patio is very pretty and comfortable. As mentioned by other reviews, the food is a highlight. The location is good for the Dilek National park and the archeological sites. The host gives very good information to help plan your trip. There was bad smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom. There was quite some "movement" at night, which surprised us for such a small village (also not the fault of the hosts), including loud arguments in the street and dogs barking. The price is quite high for the location, if you are opting for dining there you can expect to spend around 60€ for two people, which is way more than I would pay at home for dining out.
- Rosemary (10/5): Absolutely perfect place for our six night stay. - Beautifully renovated and well appointed rooms set around a very pretty secluded courtyard. Rural. Absolutely lovely hosts. Traditional Turkish food was exceptional - really delicious breakfasts, with evening meal available if requested in advance. Hosts helpful with local knowledge. Very good restaurant within walking distance run by host’s brother. Great location for exploring ancient sites. Nothing
- Alev (10/5): - Mükemmel bir işletme, çok beğendik. Huzurlu ortam
- Chris (10/5): Wow stay here! - Incredibly amazing breakfast. Shocked us how good it was. Love the traditional stone/village style to the rooms..the abandoned church of st nicolas nearby was cool. Hosts are so friendly and amazing. One of the best places we've stayed in. Wish I stayed longer!
- David (10/5): Quiet and off the beaten track. - Great host, lovely setting, good breakfast
- Nuri (10/5): - My husband and I had a lovely lovely stay at Bahab house situated in Gullubahce village which is apparently a 3000 year old inhabited site. We chose Bahab because we knew it would be an intimate residence, cloaked within a natural background. Quiet in its setting. A restored stone unit crafted with care and love. Breakfasting in a garden clothed in indigenous plants and flowers. Our room honored its 250 year old heritage with its traditional Turkish decor. Skirted beds with pristine white sheets and long staunch embroidered pillows resting from one end of the headboard to the other. We enjoyed this refuge from the heat and beat of the beach. From activity spent in antiquity sightseeing. Refreshing ourselves in the guest house's signature of tranquility. Belinda
- Kevin (10/5): Had a very delightful stay - Quiet neighbourhood on a hillside, close to ancient Priene and the beautiful Dilek national park
- Aleksandr (9/5): Superb -
- Seth (9/5): Superb - Friendly knowledgeable and helpful host. Lovely breakfasts. Fabulous to be so close to Priene.
- Jen (10/5): Lovely quaint countryside guesthouse that is WORTH a stay. - We LOVED our stay at Cem's guesthouse. A lovely host and we certainly would have stayed more than 1 day if we could. We really enjoyed the countryside even though it was still relatively "close" to town. A really quaint guesthouse that you can easily relax in without having to leave the property. We also paid to have the private dinner by Cem and his wife and everything was delicious. It was expensive compared to "outside" restaurant prices, but you really can't beat the homemade meal without leaving the property and definitely a fine course dinner at best. We recommend you contacting the host prior to arrange your meals. The beds were absolutely comfortable and everything was clean, modern, but still homey.
- Matteo (9/5): Superb - Cozy place, run by a couple that open the doors of their house in a super friendly way; near the ruins of priene and Miletus. Characteristic breakfast served in the garden, tradional products and fresh orange juice.
