- Robert (4/5): - The property itself is in a good area and the flats are clean and modern. The problem lies with the lack of support - there is no reception and no-one to answer any questions. The problems started on arrival. We were sent a pin number to enter the building/flat - but when we entered the pin number it didn't work. This is because the property had failed to tell us that one has to press the 'tick' button after the pin for the door to open. Fortunately, another guest at the property told us that and we were able to get in, otherwise we would have been on the street. The 'emergency number' which the property gives is nothing but a recorded message which repeats - no-one answers. When we had questions about how the equipment in the flat - televison, fridge, microwave - operates - there are no instructions in the flats - again I was unable to get answers to my questions - I got a reply to my email on the day I was leaving. Basically, when you enter the property you are on your own - there is no support or information - I was able to work some things out myself, but the idea is that everything is done by apps - if you are not into apps, then it is not a good idea to stay here. I certainly won't be.
- Gene (2/5): - I will never stay at another NUMA property again. They build it for fast turnovers not guest convenience. I reported they had lights out and no ice tray and there was NO CORRECTION despite the fact that they said they would “try”. The lighting in this unit is HORRENDOUS- you either have too bright “cafeteria lighting “ or you have a master bedroom with NO LIGHTS except for reading lights. I would NEVER recommend this place!

Drawbacks are that there is no way to communicate easily, requires navigating the app, the phone number in one of the emails was out of service, the person I had on email was not able to call. So solving a problem was very time intensive when a phone call would have been much better.

There’s also just a bad energy about the place but I think it’s Berlin overall not the hotel

- Michael (8/5): - We had a large apartment on the top floor of the building, great views and a big outdoor patio which was really cool. (It was winter cold for us, but probably amazing to have in the summer.) One bedroom plus sofa bed, and two bathrooms, plus a very nice, well-equipped little kitchen area. About 2-3 blocks walk from the Hackescher Market train station, which we were ablate reach directly from the airport using the S-bahn train with no train changes. We again used that station later to keep going to the main Berlin train station (Hauptbahnhof). And we signed up for a walking tour of Berlin, which turned out to start just around the corner from the apartment. From there we walked to all the major sights. The only difficulty was that upon our arrival after about 24 hours of international travel, we found that the elevator was not working, and we had to haul luggage for a 17 day trip up 6 tall flights of stairs, with no staff around to help. Many people would not even be able to do this. It was broken for all of our 2 day stay. To the hotel's credit, they answered quickly when we complained about this, and offered us a modest rebate on the price we paid. With a functioning elevator, this place would be totally perfect.
- David (6/5): Nice and Modern but not too private. - Nice modern apartment. Check in isn’t straightforward but we got there. The keypad to enter is very low and not well lit. The apartment was large, well furnished and modern. The only issue we had was missing curtains and blinds. With floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom this left us with privacy issues. The property must be aware of the missing curtains. Otherwise really nice.
- U6098BJkatel (8/5): Great location - We spent 5 nights at the Numa in Berlin - Hackershor Markt. While we initially had a couple of concerns, Numa responded quickly to the issues and set things back on track. Given the goodwill shown us, we will definitely arrange a future stay with Numa. We should also note that the location was excellent. Close to shopping, close to transportation, and located in a wonderful neighborhood.
- Jeroen (8/5): - nice place to stay. elevator was not functioning and we were on the third floor. other than that everything was fine. breakfast is hip bit not best quality. would recommend to stay though. make sure you have Berlin wecome card to make use of public transport.
- Mark (4/5): - This is a tired hotel. Elevator out for the entire time we were there - could still be out for all we know as there appeared no urgency in fixing it. Threadbare towels. Shower door was not working properly. Apparently no exhaust in kitchen area so you were instructed to open the window when cooking. If you didn't and the alarm went off/fire trucks appeared, you got charged. Lack of exhaust becomes your problem and expense. Poor lighting - none over the table so you eat in dim lighting.

The corridor outside of our room was partially blocked by two cots and the cleaners cart was always there. This may have been due to the lift not working, but did not make for a good experience. The bathroom door would not stay shut unless locked. It needs a refresh.

- rippedoffnothappy (2/5): Left stranded in Berlin - As soon as I landed in Berlin I received an email from Numa. We cannot honour your fully paid booking. I even had received the self check in code! I was left stranded in a foreign city with no where to stay. I had booked months beforehand. I had a quick look to see what was available in the city. It was so fully booked. I was so stressed. At first I thought this was a scam email. This company had been hacked and I received many scam emails but I stayed loyal to my booking with Numa because I felt sorry for their loss of business. They told me Booking.com would be in touch which didn't happen for ages. In the end I found a really expensive hotel far out of the city for only one night. This was such a horrible experience and I'm so upset and disappointed. Booking finally emailed with a link for a similar hotel to book which was 1000E for 2 nights. The email said that Numa would pay the difference. Thank God I didn't book that because today Booking say they would have only paid 25E. How Numa could leave a customer stranded with nowhere to stay at such late notice despite full payment and loyalty is unacceptable. They didn't even give me a reason. I found out it was because they over booked their apartments. I've had an awful time in this city staying in a scary area at such a high cost to me. I'm beyond devastated. Really disgraceful Numa.
- Alfred (6/5): - We put our passports and other important documents in safe and the day of departure it wouldnt open even though we had opened it multiple times . and since theres no reception desk we had to make calls and am hour later someone came and openrd it but now it delayed out departure..also they ac unit in the room to make it cool also made it hot since the hose thats suppose to blow hot air out of the room kept it in..then the elevator was stuck on the 5th floor for a day luckily we were on the second floor couldnt imagine trying to lug full suitcases and bags down from the 5th floor

- BogeskovDK (10/5): Absolutely fantastic hotel apartment - Absolutely fantastic hotel apartment for city breaks in Berlin or business trips. The hotel apartment has everything you need and a super nice large balcony/terrace. It's clean and tidy, with a good bed and a lovely little kitchen with everything. I love the Hackescher Markt area in Berlin. There are all kinds of restaurants, cafes, shops, and a fantastic vibe. A beautiful park is just a few meters away, as well as a wonderful environment along the Spree River.
- robertbT7930ZY (6/5): room okay, expensive for having no service - Well placed in the neighborhood and with enough closet space, if you don't mind not having any human interaction, if you don't mind having no one but AI or a telephone voice to answer your questions or make suggestions, if you don't mind having no maid service and neither your room nor bathroom cleaned nor wastebaskets emptied, if it's okay to have a table/reading lamp on only one side of the bed and an ice-cold metal floor grate to walk on at night, if it's not a problem for you to have a tram running outside early in the morning, and all this for a hefty price, then this "hotel" is for you.

Room cleaning service is not reliable. They say 11-3. Room was cleaned at 250pm because I made a stink. Unacceptable. This is a non concierge staff hotel. Rather have staff on site.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The apartment was clean, modern and well-designed, and we had a lovely spacious balcony. It had everything we needed for a week's stay (the ironing board and iron are located in a shared laundry room, and there are recycling facilities in the basement). The aparthotel is in an area full of lovely cafes and restaurants, which was very convenient. The sound insulation was great; we didn't have any issues with noise, either from the street or other apartments. The team are very responsive via WhatsApp, and having a key code rather than a physical key or card to access the building and the apartment was convenient. We would be back in a shot!

- 789lauraa (2/5): Terrible experience - I came to this place because it was booked by a travel agent. I had to sit outside the building for 2 hours and stay on the phone with them because they didn't send me a link to pay, so I had no code to enter the building. It is simply ridiculous that I had to spend 2 hours asking for a code and sitting outside waiting. I even asked to cancel my reservation cause I wanted to go to another hotel, and they said I had to pay the room ( to which they didn't let me in!!!) Anyway. Now it seems impossible to get an invoice via their website. Highly not reccomend this place. There is no support or help whatsoever. Very very unpleasant experience, except for Dea, an employee from their call center, who spent 2 hours on the phone with me trying to find a solution to get me in the room....

- Alissa (6/5): Big pros and cons - Very mixed stay. Cons: broken door, missing privacy blind between the two rooms, mold in the shower, only one fan (no AC), and confusing check in process. Pros: besides a great location, excellent 24 hour communication to try to address these issues. All issues were eventually resolved except the missing shade, which they needed to order. I was hoping they’d offer a monetary compensation or upgrade, which they did not; but at least they allowed a late check out and an early subsequent check in for our daughter, who was switching to a single room when we left.

The only downside is luggage/storage. They have only 6 lockers and they were always busy. I had to go store my bags at a café nearby. . Would have been so much easier at a normal hotel. Needs improvement.

- Verified traveler (2/5): There are better places - I wanted to like numa nook, but it has been one of the worst experiences Ive had in a hotel. First, they dont have enough lockers for you to drop off your bags if you arrive early, they send you to some other place 4 blocks away and they were also full. Second, even after you request no one go to your room I encountered two strange men cleaning the windows *inside* my room. You cant lock the door from the inside, and you can hear everything happening in the hallway. I did not feel safe at all during my stay. Third, the person I was texting with gaslighted me and was giving me conflicting information about my room. The hotel was fine, location is good in Mitte. No AC. I would not recommend this please, least to a solo woman traveler to stay here and I will not be staying at a numa again

Now let's move on to the apartment. Large and modern space, blackout curtains, delightful cleanliness, full equipment and delightful surprises from the team in the form of snacks, delicious coffee, tea and mini prosecco in the fridge.
- Tal (4/5): - We received two confirmation emails with two different room numbers on two separate floors. Our code wouldn't open either. We called and had our room opened. We walked in and the toilet was very dirty. In today's environment of careful cleanliness, this is appalling. We called and emailed a picture. Someone cleaned it the following day. We had a booking for two in a room that includes a kitchenette and a dining table. Only one chair was provided. We called. Another one was brought the next day. You can only really use the kitchenet, which is by the bed, if you like sleeping in your kitchen... In addition, the room is noisy, with the tram literally passing by the window, and airless. To summarize, they are attentive when you call, the building is good and the location is fine, but if you do not have to go there, I would recommend you don't.

- mummyjay (10/5): Amazing! Loved it! - We had an absolutely amazing stay at Numa Nook Berlin. The apartment was so clean and had everything you could possibly need. The balcony was an added bonus to have breakfast & nightcaps! We had the most restful & comfortable sleep ever, pillows & mattress & duvet brilliant! The apartment block is literally round the corner from a huge choice of cafes, restaurants and all sight seeing is very easily accessible. Communication via email was efficient and never without delay. We can highly recommend Numa Nook and would love to return.

- alobar00 (2/5): Broken AC, Very loud street - I had a very disappointing experience at Nook and had to cut my stay short to find another hotel. Weather forecast showed quite high temperatures in Berlin, that’s why I purposely booked a studio with an AC as it’s advertised on their website. On the first night I turned on the AC but the room didn’t cool down. I wrote them about the issue and they told me I need to keep the AC on for longer to see the cooling effect. Next day I left the AC open all day when I’m out. When I was back the room was still super hot. This time they sent someone to check and the technical person admitted their AC has been broken for a while and the temperatures has risen unexpectedly. They offered me giving 10% discount and a fan! The support team was always nice and responsive but that doesn’t help when you’re trying to sleep at night in a boiling room. You can’t open the windows either as the room is on a tram line, it’s super loud outside. Technical issues may happen but if your AC is broken on a hot week, you have to let your customers in advance to manage their expectations. Otherwise you damage your customer experience and deserve getting bad reviews.

- noite12 (10/5): Absolutely Great Location, Just Beware the Thin Walls Inside! - Nook is a hotel chain that provides studios for travelers. This particular one was in a great location in Mitte, Berlin. Though it's quite in the thick of things, it's actually on a quiet street. I was able to walk to all the major attractions and also found lots of places close by to either get a bite, coffee, or purchase food. The street itself has some important pieces of German history, including Sophienkirche, which Martin Luther King, Jr. visited in 1964; a Jewish cemetery; and The Missing House. Though this was in some ways beyond the control of the host, I do want to note that the walls of the studios are paper-thin. There was an unruly family on my floor whose child kept screaming at the top of his lungs out of anger over something. The family also kept slamming doors and cabinetry quite early in the morning. I immediately wrote to Nook, and it turned out that none of their staff were actually on hand to deal with the matter. All this said, I really did have a good stay at this facility and can recommend it to others. Just maybe bring earplugs!

"Leider" hatte ich ein behindertengerechtes Zimmer - toll, dass es solche gibt, aber hätte ein "normales" bevorzugt. Lüftung im Bad leider SEHR laut, auch nachts. Ansonsten SUPER!!!
- Cagri (6/5): Cosy central room but not reliable service - Clean and cosy room at the berlin center. The only and biggest problem was i booked the room breakfast included (this was the main reason to book) and at the hotel i am told at first the breakfast is not included and then the hotel does not serve breakfast. I called the app customer service, after speaking 15 minutes on the phone I keep waited waited and waited then the customer service told me it was a complementary breakfast therefore you do not get a one(!) That's how it feels like to be a silver member!!! This issue of course not just the hotel related but they did not care that much about it either.
- TrailBlazer800905 (6/5): Great location but several disappointments. - 4 day city break. Perfect location so close to the S/U/Tram station and lots of cafes/restaurants plus an excellent Rewe supermarket with great salad bar. Our room was large and had a very confortable bed and was extremely quiet; no noise at all from within the hotel or the city outside. The fridge was a good size and the bathroom was what you expect from this range of hotel but the shower door didn't shut completely so every shower was followed by lots of mopping up. We were disappointed to find that the tea/coffee was not topped up during our stay so I got some extra teabags from a cleaner; if you want extra coffee, it's €1 a go for the dosette from reception. We found the room to be too badly lit to be able to read despite getting an extra lamp from reception, and also it was too hot; I turned the thermostat to 15 at night which didn't make a difference nor did turning it off altogether. The Smeg kitchen looks nice but at €30 a night extra we guessed it had never been used. We've stayed in good hotels in Spain, France, Italy, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia in the last 6 months and this was the worst value for money of any of them; in Australia for half the price you get all the facilities including cooking and even in the budget hotels in France the tea/coffee is topped up daily. Our bin wasn't emptied during our 4 day stay. The 4 days cost us €420 plus!

Great apartment, stayed in the Deluxe apartment. Good size. Understood about the extra charges for use of kitchenette which was disappointing but we didn't need it so didn't have to pay! Used bowls for cereal etc and washed up afterwards so no charges. Would 100% stay here again!

We asked for extra towels and toilet paper when we arrived as we were advised there was no cleaning of the unit until our departure. The pillows were horrible - they were so flat that even putting two of them together you were basically lying your head on the mattress. On a positive note, the apartments are located in a great area. Lots of great restaurants, walking distance of the metro and trams. It gets points for the location

- JoshArnold1 (10/5): Everything you could ask for in Berlin! - This apartment is fantastic for a city break in Berlin! It is situated in a perfect central location, a short walk away from the Berlin Tower, close to the transport hub for trains and trams, and near to restaurants and bars! We were welcomed by a friendly member of staff and the check-in process was simple, despite it being fairly late in the evening. The apartment itself was fantastic. We stayed in an M room which was spacious and had a balcony with table and chairs, a perfect spot for a beer in the evening. The windows are soundproofed so no traffic noises from outside! The bed was comfortable and the apartment came exa it as described! The only criticism would be the poor pillows, if you’re not a fan of a super soft pillow ... We didn’t ask for a different pillow though, so cannot criticise the hotel for this! Overall, highly highly recommend this place! If we come back to Berlin we will be back! 🇩🇪
- AlisonP810 (8/5): Fabulous location and a great place to stop for a long weekend! - Got a package on travelzoo for a 3 day trip to Berlin. This was the hotel in the package and what a great place to stay for the visit. Really clean and modern apartment with a kitchenette. The location couldn’t be any better as it was right in the heart of the city. The only criticism was that the room never got tidied by the house keeping which maybe we should of done something to make that happen but it didn’t spoil the trip. Would definitely stay there again without a doubt! Loads to see in the area. Make sure you fly to Tegel airport as the other is too far away and will cost you a lot to get to the city.

Dust mites in the bathroom. Wifi rarely allowed connection, so you couldn’t check anything out. No aircon, so told to open up window. This allowed all the Street noise to keep you awake all night. Lame excuses from staff. Laundry gives you 8 minutes of drying time for 1.5 Euros. Don’t stay here. You can do better.
- Angus (10/5): - Very comfortable apartment. Overlooking the central courtyard so no traffic noise at all. Nice kitchen area but cost 30 euro per day if you wanted to use the cooking facilities. The hotel is very well situated with a tram stop nearby and a 5 minute walk to the S-Bahn station. Many restaurants, cafes and carry-out food outlets nearby so no need to cook. An excellent base for visiting Berlin.

Front office staff unwilling to listen or help. Windows had to be opened to get any fresh air which let in all the street noise (the cooling ventilation system was useless). The "Appartment" (it is really a hotel room) was not serviced after we were told it would be, apparently it was forgotten. Overall ok, location is very good, but ventialltion and cooling of room need to be fixed!

However there was a lot of food and quality was very good. The beds were ok but not great. The bathroom was good with a very good shower. I was a bit taken aback that having pod a sizeable room rate it was another 30 euros per day if you wished to make use of the kitchenette in the apartment.

Beds comfy, bathroom clean, only (very small!!!) niggle is that when you provide an overhead shower it would be nice if you provided a showercap, too... Otherwise, quick and friendly check-in, and easy access 24/7. Appartment has kitchen facilities, which we did not use, but would be useful for a longer stay. Would stay again for ease of access to transport during the day and restaurants in the evening.

- Tahnia (4/5): Not at all happy - The air conditioning was a huge problem for us. We were told it only makes inside temp 7 degrees cooler than outside. That might be true if it ran all day and night, but you they don't give you the ability to do that. We couldn't open the window as sirens and people yelling outside made that impossible. The location during the day perfect, but at night it is a red light district. By midnight my husband was in distress with heat stroke and if it wasn't for the cold towels I put in the icebox, he would have ended in the hospital. You might think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. This might be a good hotel in the cooler months, but it was certainly too hot on a 23 Celsius day. Our relatives on another floor also complained about the room temperature. A room facing the back which might allow for an open window would be the only thing I would consider. Adina hotel is by far the better option.
