Guest Reviews
- pattyptn (10/5): A Hidden Gem! - We stayed 3 nights in the campground (site 2). What a great place! Each site was private, quiet and right on the brook. It was so nice sitting by the campfire and listening to the babbling brook. The host was friendly and a fountain of information of what to do in the area. He even gave us a Smores Gift Bag to say "welcome". You would never know the campground and cabins are in the heart of the city!!!! Will definitely go back!
- Georgeina (8/5): Wonderful experience, but…. - The cabin was beautiful and the owners very friendly. Unfortunately, it was not at all handicap friendly. However, I had not inquired regarding this.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet... Peaceful very relaxing
- Nancy (10/5): Love Twinbrook - We love Twinbrook. The cabins are cozy and cute with everything you need. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a family place.
- 840bridgetp (10/5): Relaxing Babbling Brook...Oh My! - We rented several cabins with family for a New Year's vacation together. Twinbrook could not have been more perfect. The owners were so pleasant and accommodating from the first phone call. The little extras like a s'more kit upon check-in were such a nice little surprise. The cabins are exactly as pictured on the site, and the location was great for us. 5 minutes from tubing, 15 minutes from the ski hill, 15 minutes to Publix, 35 minutes to Biltmore. Perfect!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cozy cabins and friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely return!
- Jessica (10/5): - We have stayed three times now and this is a beautiful place to stay. The location is ideal. The staff are super friendly and even have us sleds for the snow!
- Ken (10/5): Return Stay - 40 Years Later! - We spent our honeymoon exactly 40 years ago in Cabin #5 - the same cabin as this time. The cabin has been nicely updated and maintains its original charm. Twinbrook Resort is still pretty old school - but in all the good ways. The location, the privacy, the family feel to it - and with all the amenities you need/want...
- Slouise (10/5): - Office was so very nice to talk about services and options for attractions around. Gave us a somores kit for the evening. The brook was so loud with past rainfall-it lured me off to sleep. Very clean and quaint. You felt isolated but were only a half mile from the main road. Very easy in and out. Loved everything-wished we could have stayed two nights. Very peaceful! Also the wheels thru time was a good choice for very cool windy day.
- JeanC (10/5): - Clean, well equipped, wood burning fireplace and ingredients for somemore’s from the office at check in!
Older but quaint tiny cabin that met our needs. Comfy king bed, fridge, ample seating, convenient parking.
Babbling brook behind and beside was a nice addition.
- E9110DHgregk (10/5): Best place for family time! - We stayed at Twinbrook Resort for a long labor day weekend. Me, my husband, three sons and two dogs had the best time ever! We stayed in cabin 14 and it was perfect for us. The owners provided us with suggested itineraries and we really loved how easy the directions were! We saw elk, waterfalls, the Blue Ridge Parkway, had wonderful family dinners and a fire pit every night. I can't wait to return! I haven't connected with my children so much in ages! Thank you!
- CarolynC790 (10/5): Very Pleasantly Surprised!!! - I booked five cabins at Twinbrook over a year ago for a July 2020 family reunion. Honestly, I could not really tell from the pictures what to expect, as the outside pictures showed what appeared to be really dark and small cabins. Well, as they say, don't judge a book by its cover! The outside was not indicative of the inside at all! We found our cabins to be roomy and light. There were some modern features--like tiled showers and kitchens, which were nice. And, the beds were comfortable and clean. All-in-all, the cabins were tidy. In my many emails back and forth with the owners in advance of our reunion, I was assured that all efforts were being taken to properly clean, especially given the pandemic, and to ensure guests were socially distancing. Now, I would be lying if I said the cabins were 100% perfect--this was not the Ritz Carlton after all. One of the greatest downfalls to me was something that was totally my own fault because I assumed something that I should not have--the cabins do not have central a/c, but rather, several window units. We had cabin 11, the largest cabin at Twinbrook. While the living area and master bedroom remained comfortable due to their respective window units, the three smaller bedrooms could get pretty warm, unless you ran the ceiling fan and opened the windows, which we did at night. My grown kids were okay with this but, if you are a person who must have central a/c, take note!! Another potential downfall is that Twinbrook does allow pets, which can result in pet odors, something that one family noticed in their cabin, and something my husband and daughter noticed in our couch--although I did not. Even given these things, I still rate Twinbrook very high. The owners bent over backward to accomodate us. We were allowed to use the clubhouse every night for our reunion's dinner meals, which worked out perfectly. Many family members used the pool and hot tub daily, and really enjoyed that. Every email I sent ahead of time was answered promptly and politely. Every question or concern I had during our stay was addressed immediately. The owners went even further by providing s'mores supplies for our entire group when we arrived, which was a super nice gesture! And, upon departure, they had a parting gift for each household, which was so kind! Perhaps most importantly was the detailed information provided while there. We were greeted with several sheets of information detailing just about every item one might wonder about while staying in a vacation rental in an unfamilar town. One such informational sheet detailed--in an extremely well organized and easy-to-follow fashion, how to go see the elk in the Cataloochee Valley. Honestly, we would not have even known about doing this had it not been at the recommendation of the owners. And, this turned out to be a highlight of our trip!!! Twinbrook's location makes it a great point from which to explore the area. We easily made excursions to Nantahala/Bryson City, Sliding Rock/Brevard, Asheville, Deep Creek, and Cherokee. Although I was somewhat skeptical and a bit nervous going into it, my family's 2020 reunion turned out perfectly, due in large part to the kind and generous efforts of the owners of Twinbrook!!!
- N3501TGpams (4/5): Needs Updating and a good cleaning - I found tis little cabin to be dirty. The bed and sheets were old. The gutters were so full and on the back porch there was rot and they need to cean off the clear roof of the porch. They had a washer/dyer, "a pain." In my opinion it would of been cheaper for the to buy a Stackable. The washer/dyer will run for about 4 hours for one load. and is very noisy.
Love the area and the privacy. But not the cabin. Not worth $200.00 a night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great long weekend stay - Great place for a long weekend for our family. Would recommend!
- M86R (8/5): Last minute getaway with family - We stayed in cabin number 2 which was nice and had privacy from the back porch. Cabin it self could use some work. I felt like roof was getting ready to collapse at us. But overall it was nice. Kitchen had pots and pans. Stuff was super nice. We ask to cut some trees so we can have bonfire they have within half hour and told us they can not do it but they moved the rocks for us closer to the cabin back porch where was no trees so we can have it. And I thought it was really nice. One night big storm came by and we lost power for several hours stuff came to check on us and offered us flashlight. Also we got welcome gifts of s’mores sticks marshmallows chocolate and Crackers and we got gifts for our puppies we had with us. We will definitely be back.
- barbara (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful little home away from home! - WOW! We have a new home in the mountains of NC! This little cabin was perfect! Lyndon was awesome and gave us a doggie bag and a smores bag upon arrival. Beautiful land, beautiful pool and hot tub, areas for soccer, volleyball, walking, fires, etc. Great prices and it just felt like home! We spent our mornings and evenings sitting on the balcony soaking in the peacefulness! We will be back! Thank you!
- moomoosacow (2/5): terrible experience - Don’t stay here. Find another place, there are plenty in Maggie Valley. Absolutely appalling guest service. We paid $400 to stay here for 2 nights and it was the dustiest place I’ve ever stayed in, cabin or otherwise. Every horizontal surface in the place had a layer of dust on it. There were fingerprints in the dust throughout the cabin when we arrived. Easily could have been wiped away by housekeeping if they had bothered. There were cobwebs in every window, both inside and out. By the time we left both of our allergies had flared up from staying in such a dirty place. There was dog food on the floor from a previous occupant that hadn’t been vacuumed up. There was no dishwasher and only 3 pieces of each cutlery so we had to stand at the sink and do dishes every time we ate. Especially during a pandemic dishes need to be sterilized between guests. The toaster was from the 1970s and was a fire hazard, I’m not exaggerating- it almost caught on fire when I used it. The stopper in the spa tub did not work like it should when we tried to use it the first night. I called the office about the tub and the excessive amounts of dust throughout the cabin. The owner said he was “surprised by all my complaints”, and offered nothing to improve our experience other than to send the maintenance man to look at the tub. We still had 24 hours of our stay remaining at this time, there was plenty of opportunity for him to change our experience into a positive one. The maintenance man came by and showed us that the tub stopper would work to hold water. But, it did not work as it should have. It was supposed to be a stopper that is affixed to the tub that you spin to open and close, but it was sitting on the side of the tub when we arrived. Then told us that the cabin was dusty because he had “cleaned out the fireplace” the day before. Cobwebs don’t appear from cleaning out a fireplace. Dog food isn’t on the floor because you cleaned the fireplace. He then informed me that I didn’t need to leave the recommended $10 housekeeping tip. The housekeeping tip was highlighted on our check-in paperwork and also directly referred to at check-in. I have never stayed anywhere that pushed a housekeeping tip like that. He told me that the tip was encouraged because they don’t charge a facility fee on top of their regular rates, but $200/night to stay in a small cabin in Maggie Valley is already steep. When we checked out I told the owner again that I was dissatisfied with our stay. He said that he “wouldn’t be having us back because we just don’t get complaints like this”. So rather than take my feedback (given politely each time) to improve his facility, he told me that we were not welcome back. He never once apologized or tried to improve our experience in any way. Neither my fiancé or I have ever been asked not to return anywhere in our lives. We were polite to cabin staff during our interactions both on the phone and in person. We checked in and out on time and were respectful of the cabin and grounds throughout our stay. We cleaned every dish and took out the trash when we left. So please, do yourself a favor and book your stay somewhere else!
- Tammy (10/5): - Excellent customer service! I will definitely stay at this place again. Loved it!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the over all experience of this property... Very peaceful...
- 438donp (10/5): Very comfortable cabin - Beautiful stream-side cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owners are very thorough with instructions for use and departure. Nice little extras like a bag with pet supplies and delicious cupcakes in the fridge. Firewood is available for purchase as well as very inexpensive snacks and drinks. There is an indoor pool which we did not use. Overall a very accommodating, comfortable, and enjoyable stay.
- Tour197128 (2/5): wanted to really like it, but unhelpful staff and non-functioning utilities ruined a pleasant view - My wife and i were taking my eagle scout son and granddaughter to Western Carolina on Saturday morning. We arrived after a 3.5 hour trip, car trouble, and a traffic jam, at 940pm on Friday night. I went in to the office and was told in brief about most of the things in the area and the facilities. Never was the emergency phone mentioned, nor was it pointed out in the literature. the lady was friendly, but made it clear she was wanting to go to a party nearby and was ready to go.
We followed the recommendation and went to the italian restaurant nearby, but the info in the brochure was a little out of date and we ended up going to a nearby bar to eat. the food was fine.
When we returned to the cabin, we discovered there was no hot water. We ran it for 30 minutes that night and 30 the next morning. My wife, who is very handy, went looking for the hotwater heater at 630 am to see if we could reset it. We couldn't find it. We checked the circuit breaker, nothing was amiss.
Needless to say, the water was freezing. so, after a somewhat difficult night of not being able to sleep well because the beds were dusty and I am asthmatic, we left without showers. We left at 815, just under 10 hours after we got there.
When we called the office that afternoon to explain what had happened, and that we would like to work out some arrangement for either a partial discount (10 hours for $200 and no hot water), we were told there were no refunds and we should have called the emergency number. When we called back on the same phone a few minutes later, the lady ignored our call from that number. When we called on a different phone 3 minutes after that, she answered it and told us the manager's name.
Cut to 3 days later. I call and explained that yes, we should have called the emergency number (I owned that), even though it had not been told to us. I explained that we arrived at 945 and did not see the sign on the door that said emergency number. I owned that.
However, I explained that I was not looking for a free night. Possibly a minimal $50 refund or a credit to use another time, as the kids enjoyed the view. I was told that he would think about it, but probably not. I was told repeatedly that I should have used the emergency number, which I agreed I should have, had I known about it. Further, he then insisted that 1 hour after we left, housekeeping went in and had plenty of hot water. On this, I call BS
I am an ordained minister, my wife is a social worker, and my son is an eagle scout and my daughter is an award winning student and dancer. To accept his statement requires one believe all four of us are liars and or idiots and incapable of turning on the hot water nozzle. I assure, this is not the case.
I talked with the manager, Lyndon, for about 15 minutes, explaining that I have been a business owner in the past and that I have managed businesses. All I wanted was some consideration for either a partial refund, as they were getting to enjoy the full use of our $200 while we did not get to enjoy the full use of their property for our $200 (hot water). I want to believe that people and businesses are basically good, as a minister, author, and counselor, this is a basic operating principle with myself. As a manager, I repeatedly did whatever was necessary to make the customer happy as I have always believed, the customer is (unless they are lying), usually right.
However, we received no consideration and were told that since we did not call a number that we were not aware of or use the services that were available (repairs and maintenance) that we were not aware of, we would not receive any consideration because they were not aware of basic decency. So, to summarize, a minister, counselor, social worker, eagle scout, and award winning student and dancer, are liars and not worth working with because we did not call a number we did not know about or use services available to us that we did not know about.
Note - i have noticed that on many of their sites, they respond with complete denials about the events, their records, or the situations. Ask yourself, would a minister and a counselor and an eagle scout lie over hot water? what is more reasonable, to believe that they did not hot water and were uncompromising or that all of us were lying? simple question.
- FrequentFlier589905 (8/5): Family reunion - I can’t say enough great things about this place! We had a Family reunion for 80 people and it was the best one we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for the hospitality! We will definitely be back. #PaulusReunion#2021
- 848kathyg (10/5): Great Weekend Getaway - We've been coming here on and off through the years starting when our daughter was a student at WCU. Great location, great and friendly staff, extremely clean, cute cabins. It is one of our go to places if my husband and I need a weekend in this area of the Smokies.
- Lisa (10/5): - We enjoyed the location/cabin in Maggie Valley & it being in close proximity of many other popular places; Cherokee, Chimney Rock, Sliding Rock, etc. The last minute accommodation was a godsend for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our cabin and our stay!
- VONDA (10/5): - We love this place and the owners! We will be back. Don't want to say too much about them for fear they will be booked up next time we want to go. Lol
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I always enjoy my stays at TwinBrooks Resort Cabins !!
- Noble (10/5): So lovely - We loved Twinbrook Resort and plan on coming back! They were so friendly and the cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. It was lovely sleeping with the windows open, listening to the sound of the nearby creek.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to relax - Wonderful experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Customer service was the best! We were welcomed as if we were the only customer in the resort. We will definitely plan to stay here again when we are in the area.
- Jennifer A (8/5): Quiet, Sweet Little Cabins - We stayed here just one night while looking for real estate in the neighboring town of Waynesville. We were traveling with our Newfie rescue dog and they had a very reasonable pet fee of 15.00. When we arrived, they gave us a gift bag for the dog that included doggie pick-up bags and a pet hair roller. Thoughtful! Let’s be clear - this is not a luxury accommodation. But it is one of several sweet, very clean little cabins, tucked away between two small mountain streams. The cabins are well away from the main thoroughfare, but completely accessible. It has the friendliest manager, who seems genuinely interested in meeting your needs. Several discount coupons were included for meals at nearby restaurants and there were four delicious locally made cupcakes in the fridge to welcome us! We didn’t utilize the enclosed pool or hot tub, so I can’t review them, but they looked well-lit and secure. If you’re in Maggie Valley to hike or do recreation activities of any kind, this is a very good place to make a meal, relax and rest up for the next adventure. We’d stay here again, no problem.
- teresae36 (8/5): Get away - Left Durham for the parkway and ended up in Maggie Valley. Found Twinbrook Resort and gave them a call, very nice on the phone, gave us a great rate for a cabin on the creek. Check in was a breeze with tons of information and coupons for food in the valley. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the cabin and the furnishings were comfortable. The back porch is covered and there is plenty of woods to keep it private from the other cabins, like your out in the woods by yourself. The pool is covered and heated and a nice way to end a day of driving. Would highly recommend.
- Brad (10/5): Fun weekend getaway - Great service, wonderful cabin in a peaceful setting. We will be back!
- Anthony (10/5): Anniversary - The cabin was very nice. The right word is rustic. The owner gave an upgrade without being asked. We decided to stay another night and even though our cabin was booked they shuffled some things and we didn't have to switch cabins. Other than the bed being way too firm it was a great stay. Very cool place.
- Nancy (10/5): Love❤️ - We love this place. The owners are great and the cabins as sweet as they can be. If you want a lovely cabin by a rushing stream this is your place!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property and cabins are beautiful. Every cabin has its own wifi. Has a very nice indoor pool and hot tub. The owners are very nice. We will definatly be staying here again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super cute cabins in a picturesque woodsy setting. Definitely planning my next vacation here. One night is just not enough!
- Jean (10/5): Cozy cabin - It was everything I wanted a homey comfortable place where I could make a nice dinner for us and relax before going to bed
- wayne (10/5): AWESOME - Amazing-exceeded all my expectations
- Suzanne (8/5): Not bad - The cabins are getting older and need some updating and new mattresses. When we checked in the heat didn't work in the bedroom, but they fixed it promptly. The staff was very helpful.
- travelinghouse (10/5): A GEM - This was our first trip to Maggie Valley Resort it was a wonderful fine. They only have 5 RV sites but they have lots of tree coverage and a stream that runs behind the sights. The people in the office we're very friendly and always willing to help. The bath house was clean and the heated pool was wonderful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
- tiarab754 (8/5): Cozy with room for improvement - Decided that we wanted to have a white Christmas with the kids skiing, so we booked cabin #2 two weeks before Christmas. Cabin is cute, clean, cozy and our overall our stay was enjoyable. WIFI is great and staff is very friendly. Master bed is springy, master bath could use longer window curtains (could see out window when on the toilet and anyone could look in from the outside with very little privacy). Guest beds are hard and pillows are bumpy.
Although we had a two bedroom 2 bath, only one person could shower at a time, due to low water pressure. Kitchen was stocked with efficient cookware and utensils, but desperately needed a dishwasher. I looked online and saw that the other 2/2 cabins had dishwashers and some had jacuzzis or outside fire pit, so feel that this cabin should not be the same nightly price to rent as the others. Towels need replacing. Ceiling tiles in master bedroom and living space are falling and need repair. The pool and hot tub is not something I would recommend using, dated and not appeasing.
- srlop (10/5): Better Than Expected - Stayed recently for 3 days. Management is "Top Shelf". Very friendly, courteous, considerate, quick to resolve any issues you might encounter and happily provide information on local activities and directions if needed. The cabin (#5) was well cared for, clean and everything you would hope for during a few days of peace by the running creek 25' off the back porch. Price was reasonable. Great location, just 15 - 20 Min from Smokey Mountain NP and Blue Ridge Pky. Definately on my list of places to return again!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful setting minutes away from all the Smokey Mountain sites. Will be visiting again!
- Monsaman (2/5): Extremely RUDE Staff - WARNING When you reserve a cabin here you are LOCKED IN. No changes PERIOD. Four days before we left my Sister went into a coma. It has been a very trying time for the family. They would NOT allow us to change the dates to give us a week so we could try and find out what was wrong with my Sister, we even didn’t know if she was going to live. I knew when I made the reservation we were locked in. BEWARE they have NO compassion what so ever.
My wife called them today and spoke to some man. She asked for our pet deposit back since no pets stayed in the cabin. He Got NASTY very fast and bad mouthed my wife for even asking for the $45.00 pet deposit back. Is that not a reasonable request since no pets were there? He then called my wife EVIL & WICKED for even asking for the $45. These are RUDE & MEAN people here at this property. STAY AWAY
- DELIA (8/5): Great stay... but beware of upgrade prices! - Great stay! Even though we had a great stay, the price online for was not what I ended up paying. The office called us on the day of our arrival and wanted to change our chestnut cabin (booked through hotels.com) to #9 and move us 'closer in', but said it would be considered an upgrade. Since I agreed to move to #9 and pay the upgrade charge, I asked about cabin #6 since it was on a creek. #6 was a great choice and didn't mind paying the extra $ for the cabin. After our stay I asked the lady and the gentleman about our original cabin 'the chestnut' because I wanted to see how far away it was, but found out that the chestnut and cabin #9 were the same cabin. Wow... then why was I notified that they wanted to change my cabin and charge me more?? I felt a little deceived. Overall great experience.. just beware!!
- Carolyn (10/5): - Family run business. Very interesting and professional.
Small touches appreciated. Fresh baked goodies. Will definitely return and stay longer.
- Robert (10/5): Relaxing - It is a nice place. They have hundreds of movies you can check out for free. Our cabin was on the creek with a small waterfall. We sat out on the back covered porch in the rocking chairs just listening to the water and the rain for hours. It was like home away from home.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very friendly and helpful owners - The cabins were fine, set in the woods away from traffic and other cabins. The owners were great.
- Lisa (10/5): - We really enjoyed sitting on the porch with our coffee, the air was cool and the surroundings were beautiful. Very peaceful. The only complaint, if any, would be that everything felt damp due to the moisture in the air. A dehumidifier would probably do the trick.
- asc1945 (10/5): Golf week - Had a wonderful time and enjoyed staying at Twinbrooks !
Enjoyed Maggie Valley and went sequoia Golf Course
Maggie Valley Golf Course
Smoky mountain golf course
Waynesville country club
And checked out Laurel Ridge
- Janet (10/5): - Loved the creek so close to our cabin
- Jerrie (10/5): Best Cabin Rental I've Ever Had - This place was amazing! The cabins aren't exactly far apart, but they're set back in the trees enough that you can hardly tell anyone else is around. It was very clean and comfortable. After we placed the reservation online, they called and offered us an upgrade at a very cheap price. Then, prior to our arrival, they upgraded us again for free because we were travelling with a baby and they wanted to make sure we had the space! Well equipped cabin, with plenty enough to make us comfortable. Snacks and drinks and free movie rentals in their office, plus an extra surprise in the fridge on arrival! The only thing that could have been better was that the restaurants and such within a few miles all closed at around 5pm while we were there, so we probably missed out on some good things. But we were only there from Monday to Thursday, so the weekends are probably much more active in the surrounding area. But we were never short of things to do on this trip. Overall super satisfied, and will definitely be returning!
- kimberlyjoan73 (10/5): THANK GOD FOR TWINBROOK RESORT!!! - Cabin #6 is total perfection on the creek: my husband and I stayed for 3 days and decided to extend our stay 5 more days because of the charm. We went in the last week of April 2018 and it must have been the slow time because we had the resort practically all to ourselves. The cabin was sweet wth a fireplace and a beautiful deck with a picnic table. I prayed to see wild animals and a black chicken showed up the next morning and got into an "altercation with a squirell." It was funny! The owners are nice and provide sweets in the refrifgerator upon arrival. You can also "rent' DVD's from the office for no cost and if you choose to buy a home in the area they have a real estsate agent who is honest. We left the window open in the bathroom to listen to the creek. The fireplace was so romantic and we fell asleep watching "Titanic." The price was a no-brainer as we have need for enjoyment and privacy. We love Maggie Valley so much we decided to move to North Carolina!!
- Jeffrey (10/5): Fantastic stay! - Highly recommend this place! Everything was great from start to finish. They could not have been any nicer on the phone but to our surprise were even nicer in person! The cabin was charming and well stocked with everything you could need. It was clean and while some items like the couch and bedspreads seemed a bit worn, it somehow agreed to the charm even more. We will definitely be coming back here again and again! Oh, and expect a very sweet surprise when you check in!
- smokynationalpark (10/5): Nice nostalgic cabin - The cabins are rustic and charming from a time gone by. Everything was clean and neat. The cabin brought back great childhood memories. This is a classic Maggie Valley property. The grounds are very nice. The rates were reasonable.
- joelyons62 (10/5): Weekend getaway - This was our first time here. We had our own one bedroom cabin, king bed, full kitchen, gas fireplace, full bath with a shower and a two person hot tub in the bedroom. All this for $129 a night. Amazing. I’ll take that deal every time!
- Katara (10/5): No words - Our stay was amazing lots of laughs and love in our cabin. Very friendly staff and wonderful view. I went to the same area the next week and need a room for a couple of hrs if they had not been booked I most definitely would of stated there. I love that place. It's truly a blessing to been there for a vacation.
- monique (10/5): beautiful retreat - thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location, cabin was adorable, clean, quiet. Owner extremely helpful and hospitable. Got there late but enjoyed the fireplace at night and view from back porch in the morning. Would definately stay again!
- L (8/5): Beautiful setting - Comfortable accommodations in a beautiful place. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with our coffee in the morning and watching the brook. We also loved being within walking distance of some of the best dining in Maggie Valley - J. Arthur's. There were a few things that could have been better - the fitted sheet didn't fit the mattress and kept popping off; the pillows were flat and needed to be replaced; there was a good bit of dust on the mantel and the bathroom floor needed more cleaning. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will likely return; probably with our own sheets and pillows.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cozy, owners are extremely nice and considerate. Location is ideal for many activities
- Jen (10/5): Total mountain cabin experience inside city limits - This is a wonderfully ran and maintained mountain cabin complex. This is centrally located, accessible to most everything you want to do. The owners take great pride in what they offer and go above and beyond any owners I've ever encountered, to ensure you maximize the most out of your stay, with thorough resources.
Plenty of parking in front of your cabin, wood fireplace, charcoal grill out your front porch, front and back porch seating. They thought of everything. The bed we slept on wasn't to my liking and not enough outlets.
I could see this as a great family vacation facility, with pool, volleyball net, plenty of yard space, etc.
- Sonja (8/5): Nice, basic cabin perfect for a trip with kids. - I rented one of the cabins for a weekend trip with my grandkids. The cabin was basic, nothing fancy but met our needs other than lack of wifi in the bedrooms. We did have it in the living area however. The scenery around the cabin was woods and a small stream in the back. No mountain views if that's what you want. When we first arrived all the lights had been left on for us as well as the tvs, and there were cupcakes for us in the fridge. A nice touch. Several restaurants and a mom and pop grocery are near by as well as a Dollar General. Larger grocery stores are about 20 minutes away. This seems to be a family operation with the owners living on the property. A large indoor pool is offered to guests which is located by the office. My grandkids enjoyed their dip in the pool and hot tub. Nice after a day of sightseeing. The kids also checked out a couple of movies while there. There's a selection of 100 movies so certainly something for everyone. We enjoyed our stay and have no complaints, and did I mention towels? Plenty of towels and wash clothes! A washer and dryer was in our cabin but not certain if they are in all cabins.
- cindy (8/5): cozy cabin - The cabin was quaint and the air was cooling as we walked in. Lemon cupcakes awaited us in the fridge. It was a roomy facility with a nice bathroom. I would go there again.
