Emma (10/5): A great experience at an exceptional property. - Unique lovely old property. Staff were wonderful and extremely attentive. We loved the location but it is not that central to everything so some people might find this a negative factor. Breakfast was amazing!! No power points on the bathroom and very few in the room. Had to plug in to where the bedside lamp is and kneel on a pillow to blow dry my hair. Bedside lamp kept cutting in and out then noticed the wires were exposed. Lamp way to big for the bedside table so I removed it and solved three problems at once :). Very minor issues and would not effect my recommendation to stay.

Marykate59 (10/5): Elephant Stables - Delightful and Delicious!!!!! - This was my second visit to The Elephant Stables - and it was amazing! This beautiful and inviting small boutique hotel is incredibly hospitable. The hotel is designed to make you feel at home and pampered. Everyone there works together to ensure that you have an absolutely amazing time. Our group explored Kandy during the morning and returned in the afternoon for a much-needed swim. Nihal, the delightful barman, brought us refreshing cocktails poolside to help us cool down. While we were there, we had the most amazing breakfasts and dinners made by Indika, the master chef, and his team. All 6 of us agreed - the meals we had here were hands down, the best meals we had in Sri Lanka!
cmJ6687HE (8/5): A Pleasant stay in Kandy - This is a beautifully secluded hotel, high in the hills overlooking Kandy. The team were very friendly and the food was amazing. The room was well-stocked with tea and coffee making facilities. The Manager was not the most customer-focussed of chaps, but his team was just delightful. The bathroom smelt slightly damp.
lwspoon26 (10/5): Tranquil setting in hills above Kandy - Superb hotel located in the hills above Kandy. Very peaceful setting with both outdoor and indoor dining with a varied menu which you have to order in advance . Our room was fantastic and had everything that was needed. The hotel staff, in particular the catering team, could not do enough for us and surpassed themselves when offering a selection of their curries - was enough to feed several people rather than just one person! Beautiful infinity pool with the added bonus of 2 friendly tortoises wandering about! Would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.
MJPitchford (10/5): Absolute gem of a hotel in Kandy - This was an amazing hotel in the hills of Kandy. The location is very quiet, with a beautiful and refreshing pool, and wonderful gardens. Our family took the tented suite and another room, but the tented suite could have easily accomodated all four of us. The rooms are beautifully furnished with top quality toiletries and linens. Usual things like air conditioning, in room coffee, safe, USB charging ports were all available. They were able to arrange us tours as well, which was a great help. The food at the restaurant was fantastic, and the chefs could not do enough to help. They have a relatively small hotel so they ask that you order in advance, but it was the best food we had in Kandy, so I'd recommend eating there over any other restaurant we tried. They even made us a takeaway breakfast for the day we had an early start, and it was absolutely delicious. As it is on a hilltop and a little bit outside the center, you will need to get a taxi or tuktuk everywhere, but they will help you arrange that if you need. The overall service was absolutely superb. One of my children left a few things in the room when we checked out and they were immediately in contact and working with us on how to get them back.

Really great stop to recharge before our drive back sout - We had a fabulous one night stay here that could not be faulted. The staff and location were superb and the food was fantastic. We had dinner in the garden which was delicious and our breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka!! We spent the evening watching the sunset and the bats fly through the trees

The staff were friendly and attentive . Special mention to the wonderful chef who took our meal order daily to shop for fresh produce, and then delivered excellent dishes probably the best we had in ShriLanka. Nothing
Sherpa812033 (10/5): Wonderful one night's stay - wish it had been longer - There had been a mix up with our booking and the room we expected/had booked wasn't available. Mistakes happen and it's all part of life - the way someone deals with the error shows the quality of the customer service. We could not have been looked after better and the mistake was sorted quickly and with a friendly air. We did end up in the Royal Tent and it was a wonderful and very different experience to the one we were expecting. The chef was amazing and so friendly - it was a pleasure to eat there - even though by this time I was ready for something really plain and simple. The chicken burger with all the side accompaniments was tasty and very fresh and filling. Breakfast was a tasty and filling delight too. Lovely and fresh - marvellous The stay was only one night, but I would gladly have spent longer there and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality longer if we had been able to do so. 705paulinem (10/5): A very enjoyable stay - We really enjoyed staying at the Elephant Stables, perched on a hillside looking over Kandy. The view from our room in the mornings with the mists rising and the sun coming up was magical! On both mornings we stayed we decided to have breakfast on the balcony of our room to make the most of this view. Although not extensive, the grounds were pleasant. The breakfasts were excellent - providing both Sri Lankan and western style options. We only ate one evening meal there but that was delicious. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We would happily stay there again if we ever return to Kandy.

Great location - not too far from the old town you can go out for dinner, but elevated enough you have nice views on the terrace. It is small enough to be intimate, the staff is soooooo kind and flexible. The tent (for a family of 4) was a very positive surprise, massive height, character furniture, beautiful bathroom We only had breakfast there but it wa delicious. Special mention to Indika who was very helpful!

The chef prepared us some delicious evening meals and the breakfast presented beautifully. There’s a lovely pool with amazing views and although the dining room was very inviting we ate all our meals outside. The bedrooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. All the staff were very helpful we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Elephant Stables

The building is beautiful, amazing views and brilliant tranquil location. The food was the best we ate in Sri Lanka during our 5 week trip. I am a chef and this cooking was world class! What really makes the Elephant Stables so special is the staff. They are the kindest and most attentive people. Nothing was too much! They honestly made us feel so at home and like family during our stay. Every single one of them were outstanding however Nihal deserves a special mention - he really is one of the top hotel managers in the World and cares incredibly about his guests, staff and hotel. He is the soul of the place! We left The Elephant Stables considering him a good friend - We will be back!
skm66334 (10/5): Great stay in a historic location - We stayed in the David Lean bungalow for two nights and, given all our planned activities, never made it to the main hotel base. The bungalow was great - beautiful views down the valley from an elegant veranda, spacious rooms, a fascinating history, and the use of beautiful public rooms. Bandara (the butler and provider of meals) was a delight: always available with good advice and interesting snippets of historical note, but disappearing quietly when not required (PG Wodehouse would have been impressed). There was lots to do in Kandy. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Banda and Madu are wonderful hosts, and helped us out with delayed luggage. Breakfast was wonderful and we recommend having dinner at least once during your stay too! Truly, everything was perfect. We hope to return someday. :)
NMD44 (10/5): Delightful, quiet small hotel - We spent three nights at this small hotel which is situated in a delightful location with views over Kandy and great sunsets. With only seven rooms the staff provide a highly personal service - friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious and comfortable - vey quiet at night except for the sound of crickets! We stayed in five different hotels during our Sri Lanka visit - and Elephant Stables provided the freshest and best cooked food and most generous portions. The choice of menu is small and preordering is necessary.

We were in Pepper room, beautiful room with a four poster and large balcony. Big walk in shower. Plenty of bottles of water We stayed for 2 nights and ate our evening meals there. The first night we had the Sri Lankan curry, so much food. We would have been ok with one meal between both of us. It was a bit spicy for me, despite asking for a very mild meal, but that’s me! The chef brought me a big bowl of curd which helped. The meals are a bit expensive, but prepared just for you and are gorgeous. You chose you dinner after breakfast, and choose breakfast after dinner. So you know it’s freshly done. The views from the pool area are stunning. It’s so peaceful, so unnecessary background music, just birds singing. There’s tortoises in the garden, just roaming around, monkeys do come down so windows need to be shut. Just loveless it. Could have stayed way longer
FJGibbs (10/5): Peaceful and tranquil - We had just one night at this beautiful hotel, so peaceful and tranquil, high above the bustling city of Kandy. It was such a treat, the hotel and grounds are beautiful, the room was lovely and comfortable with a fab bathroom and the staff were just fantastic. Breakfast was delicious too, sat outside with the incredible view! Sadly we only got to have one night here before moving on, but we loved it and would recommend.

Our room was well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. 2 things really stand out. Firstly the quality of the food. Freshly cooked from local ingredients. My curry dinner was enormous. 12 dishes all perfect and enough for 2!! Secondly, the staff; all smiling and happy to see you and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Sitting in the garden for breakfast and dinner with a spectacular view was special. All the staff were brilliant but a special mention for Nihal who looked after us so well.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the tent which was a superb experience. Nothing at all. If you stay in the tent and are a light sleeper bring earplugs as the wildlife are quite noisy.

This is a small boutique hotel on top of a hill overlooking parts of Kandy city, the location is peaceful and views lovely. The room we had was very comfortable with excellent amenities and a large balcony overlooking the garden and the views beyond. The dinner was superb, I had the Indian tasting menu, breakfast was served in the garden and was also superb. The service from all the team at the hotel was excellent

DEFINITELY order breakfast and dinner here. Lovely sitting room for games. And a neat mini library upstairs. A little ways out but Tuktuks available to run you into town.

C3181YSstever (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel - A boutique style hotel, a short drive out of Kandy. I think it had 8 rooms. Ours was a good size with a large, very comfy, 4 poster bed. Our 1st floor room had views to the front and back. Over the pool one side and to the mountains in both directions. The staff were extremely helpful, attentive and good fun. The service felt really personal. The breakfast and evening meals were served and were very good quality at a reasonable price. Plenty of choice. We were a bit sad to leave this hotel.

RedRoseWarrior (8/5): An excellent small and boutique hotel - We stayed two nights, which appears to be the norm as people explore Sri Lanka. Only seven rooms, including a fabulous looking ‘tent’. The colonial house is lovely and set high to overlook Kandy. The service was very good, with lots of Sri Lankan smiles. Food was good quality, well presented and plentiful. The chef is commended on his thoughtfulness and desire to please. As is, we now understand, common breakfast is preordered the evening before and dinner immediately after breakfast. Other guests told us that eating out in Kandy is a good experience and good value. The centre of Kandy is only ten minutes away, although timing is flexible depending on the crazy traffic! The one niggle was the pool. Whilst we saw it being cleaned and chemically treated, it was murky and uninviting and seemed to lack any filtration. Overall a very pleasurable experience.

Culture34851613587 (10/5): A little gem ! - We stayed for two nights at this little gem of a hotel. It’s in a lovely position on top of a hill overlooking Kandy. It only has seven rooms, including one in a large marquee in the small but immaculately kept grounds. During our stay there were only 2 other couples and the staff outnumbered the guests !. They were always on hand to cater for our needs but discreetly in the background. It is difficult to single any of them out but Nihil deserves a specific mention for his humour and attentiveness. The hotel policy is for tips ( should you decide to leave one) to be put in a receptacle in reception which are shared out equally. We feel this is an excellent policy as there must have been plenty of staff who we didn’t see - kitchen staff, gardeners, cleaners etc who play a significant role in role in making the hotel as brilliant as it is. The hotel likes to take meal choices the day before which helps to cut down on waste food - another good idea. The choices are varied and delicious. Our room was the Lemongrass luxury room which situated on the first floor in the newer wing. It was well appointed with a large, comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom with a good shower. Thanks to the double glazed windows we enjoyed undisturbed slumber on both nights.

AuntyWayners (10/5): A super boutique hotel if you’re looking for something more intimate. - It’s a fantastic boutique hotel with just 7 rooms. It’s outside of kandy and high up, not the easiest to find but worth it when you get there. Views over the hills are stunning. The room was large and spacious with enormous walk - in shower in the ensuite. Staff are super friendly our Butler, Manila, (he referred to himself as our butler), could not do enough to make our stay more memorable, aided by his very able assistant Mahesh and two fantastic chefs Indika and Tyron. You must have the Sri Lankan menu for evening meals, but make sure you are hungry as it’s very generous! There is western menu to choose from also. Both are extremely reasonably priced.

The location is great because it is an escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kandy. You’re a 10+ minute tuktuk ride from downtown Kandy, but that’s no inconvenience. The hotel itself is quaint and pretty. Rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Everything in the room was operating well. We stayed in the family room (two adults, one teenage son) and it was perfectly comfortable. breakfast was served inside our outside, with views over the Kandy hills. The food for breakfast and dinner were both outstanding and plentiful. When we needed a tuktuk, the hotel provided one at a really cheap price. The driver was also the chef. We used WhatsApp to let him know when we needed to be picked up and taken to any destination. it was way better than negotiating with all the random tuktuk drivers around town.

Dies war wirklich sehr schön, sowohl die Schlafzimmer, als auch das Bad sowie der Außenbereich. Man hat einen tollen Blick von der Terrasse und aus dem Pool. Das Personal, das einem den ganzen Tag exklusiv zur Verfügung steht, ist super nett und bemüht und immer ansprechbar. Das Essen, das direkt vor Ort zubereitet wurde, war in Ordnung, aber nicht 5 Sterne.

From the moment we arrived, our every need was catered for expertly, swiftly and with flourish of personalised service that has is well above the standard of many other accommodations. Bandula was the man in charge while the owner was on leave - and he was fabulous. It was very quiet here and we were the only guests for some of the stay, so we enjoyed the luxury of full attention of all the staff. This place is a gorgeous small boutique hotel set in an old tea plantation house, away from Kandy centre, set high up on a ridge, from where you gaze down across the whole valley and surrounding hills that cradle this British colonial capital. Beautiful and spacious, the property comprises just two floors - an elegant and relaxing ground floor space split between a large lounge, spacious dining room and bar, and an outdoor garden and pool area. We stayed in the Lemongrass Deluxe Garden Room. Wonderful huge room - four poster bed draped with mosquito nets, terrific balcony with awesome views. Fab large TV perfect for binging Netflix at night after days of exploring, enjoying attentive room service. Breakfasts were nourishing - it was great to sit out in the garden - and other dishes from the menu were available most of the day This place is perfect! Did not want to leave. If we come back to SL, we will DEFINITELY stay here again.

Modern and traditional work well together. The staff are amazing. I have seen some reviews describe the food as expensive. I don’t agree you are getting personally prepared foods to the highest standard by an amazing chef. These are the best quality meals we have eaten and it is the equivalent of a personal chef. The hotel offer a TukTuk service too and from Kandy which we thought was great. Nothing is too much trouble and after the jungles and beaches a bit of urban life was a great mix. I would highly recommend this hotel for is style, location, excellent food and excellent service. Everything we needed was in the room. Easy travelling, we would come back.

The staff were excellent and the chef was exceptional , cannot rate the food highly enough ! I was celebrating my birthday and the staff made a real effort which I thoroughly appreciated . The hotel isn’t walkable into Kandy centre but only a couple of pounds in a Uber .

From the moment we arrived at the Elephant Stables we felt at home and for this we have the staff to thank. A massive thank you to the lovely Nihal who was so kind to us, nothing ever felt like too much of an ask and he was such a joy to be around. Nihal even organised for our laundry to be done as half way through the trip we were in desperate need of clean clothes! Manjular, another one of the lovely bar tenders, was incredibly helpful and kind. Our final big thank you is to the incredible chef Indikar, AKA the happiest man we have ever met! Every day he would create the perfect meals for us, tailoring to our spice preferences and even going out of his way to make a meal which we had been very fond of prior to our arrival! It was honestly like having a personal chef! The food was absolutely delicious and by far the best food we have had since arriving in Sri Lanka. The hotel is a very calm place in what is a very busy city. We wish we could have stayed at the Elephant Stables for longer. To all the staff thank you so much. We hope to come back one day. For anyone looking for a hotel in Kandy we couldn’t recommend this place enough!!! Xx

When we checked in, we were actually moved to another villa - Riverdale Bungalow -that is attached to the property about 10 minutes away. Although I was initially disappointed to be staying off the property, we found quickly it was an upgrade to our own house with infinity pool. private chef and butler, Bandara, who is a beautiful human being. The food was some of the best we had on the trip and we highly recommend the Sri Lankan feast. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and the interior design was actually quite cool. The view over the river was incredible and a very peaceful place to call home for a couple of nights. The villa is about 15 minutes from the centre of Kandy.

Meera (9/5): Unique tent experience away from kandy hustle - This is a boutique 5 room property nestled in a quiet part of Kandy. It is away from the hustle bustle and only a 15 min drive to the old kandy town. The structure is more than 100 years old. The garden outside and the pool overlooking the greens is fabulous. We chose to be at the tent and loved the experience - it was spacious and the toilet was so beautiful and aesthetic . Do note that you have to keep the coolers switched on and may have less cooling effect. Since it is a tent , you wil have lizards and them making noise but the bed is well covered and has a net etc . I had a great nights sleep The chef was also kind enough to pack breakfast for us the next day by 6am. He packed sandwiches , some cookies , fruits , and coconut sambol. Was very helpful for our 3 hour drive to Colombo. Overall positive experience . The manager showed me the other rooms and they are all very spacious and well lit with natural sunlight flowing through . Tent can have issues with cooling the room as the room is hugeeee and there are two air coolers. Make sure to not switch them off ( which I did when we went out )

Infinity pool and gardens overlooking Kandy Centre ie high up in the hills. Traffic depending, 10 minute drive to the heart of Kandy. Staff amazing and although the menu is limited the chef produces outstanding meals. Everyone amazingly friendly…like being with a family. All this in an ex colonial house with a lounge filled with older memorabilia and more modern artifacts. It’s great to eat outside in the garden looking out over a panoramic view of the hills around Kandy. Definitely one of our highlight stopovers.

V3046TZelisad (10/5): Unique hotel camping experience - We stayed here as a family of 4 in August as part of our tour of Sri Lanka. After a day of sightseeing including the brilliant Temple of the Tooth Relic we arrived in the dark, and were blown away when we realised we were staying in a colonnial style tent that took glamping to another level. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my kids so wow-ed. The space, the cute four poster beds, the luxury bathroom, and of course the air con! Then the next morning we enjoyed the views out over Kandy as we had breakfast. The location is great being on the edge of the city, and providing a boutique offering. The staff were so helpful and offered that we could have dinner in the room/tent which was lovely after a long day. The food was delicious (the kids are still talking about the chocolate lava cake) and we felt very looked after. Unfortunately we only had one night here and in hindsight we really wish we’d had two days here. We enjoyed the pool the morning we left before taking the train journey down towards Ella, but feel we would have enjoyed more time both in Kandy and at this hotel.

Incredible spread of rice and curry - menu changes every night and delicious a la carte options too, Stunning location above Kandy and so peaceful and relaxing as only 7 rooms. Laundry was sent out and only charged at local prices too - a lovely bonus! Highly recommend and would definitely come back here!!

Lisa (10/5): Beautiful setting in a lovely city - We stayed in the Riverdale Bungalow. The view was exceptional, just so beautiful. The Bungalow itself has a fascinating history, is beautifully laid out and comfortable and the pool was fantastic. The children were made to feel very welcome and at home. Bandara, our butler, was great - friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and interesting. He even brought some rambutin from his own garden for our daughter when he learned how much she likes them. All of the staff were outstanding - including the gardener who introduced the property’s lovely placid dogs to the kids! We also really loved Kandy as a destination. We had a lovely time and were sad to leave for the next part of our Sri Lankan adventure! Nothing!

We loved the family tent, which is a small appartment in itself, with a lot of space (parent’s room, kid’s room, living room, big modern bathroom). It was very clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious. The set up for pool and meals is gorgeous. Our only complaint would be for the lunch we had on site. The food menu is quite basic (no Sri Lankan dishes available for lunch) and very expensive. In one month in Sri Lanka, going to a lot of upscale restaurant, this one was the most expensive by far, even putting prices in US$.

Joanne (10/5): Luxury experience in-great setting - We stayed in the riverside bungalow for 2 nights Away from the hotel but with its own chef and Butler and pool Views to die for ! Was the house they filmed scenes from the bridge over the river Quai 2 gloriously large bedrooms and a patio with dining table sitting area and panoramic views Lovely pool area Nil property historic and glorious Dinner menu was limited to one 10 curry feast , which was lovely , but expensive We ate out second night.
tariqaH562WH (10/5): Wonderful boutique hotel with amazing food - Amazing 3-day stay in 6-room hotel set in peaceful location 3 km from city centre. Beautiful colonial style rooms, helpful staff and incredible breakfasts and dinners. Without a doubt the best food experience of our 21 day tour. A welcome change from the larger hotels and definitely worth the additional cost. We cannot recommend highly enough!
helenw165 (10/5): The place to stay when visiting Kandy - We had a fabulous stay at the elephant stables, the location was excellent and allowed us to see so much of the city. The hotel is a welcoming, beautiful colonial building which was decorated superbly. Everywhere was immaculately clean. The food was exceptional and the chefs couldn’t have been more accommodating. The staff were extremely helpful and kind meaning our staff was relaxing and enjoyable.

Maaike (10/5): Exceptional - We were 3 nights in the bungalow, about 15 min away from the main hotel the Elephant Stables. It is a little peace of heaven. No other people, a great view, an amazing pool and a great place to sit outside even during heavy rain. We would recommend this place to anyone
Palaniappan (7/5): Good - The Staff were very Friendly. Chef INDIKA deserves a special mention. He went out of his way to take care of the Food Preparation. His preparations were excellent. Kudos to him and his Support Staff . The Shower had no Water Pressure.
CroydonDiva (10/5): Beautiful place with amazing staff - We absolutely adored our couple of days at this hotel as part of our honeymoon. It’s a stunning location, with infinity pool, beautiful outdoor dining, comfortable/luxurious accommodation and friendly, helpful staff. We found a bottle of wine in our room to congratulate us on our honeymoon, which was lovely. We were asked to select our meal choices so that fresh ingredients could be sourced that day for our meals. Nothing was too much trouble for the team here, and we definitely want to go back!

The staff greeted us with genuine warmth. Nothing we asked for seemed too much trouble. We selected a meal from the set menu. It was the best meal from a set menu that we have experienced. The room is well appointed and very spacious.
deannescanlantravel (10/5): Exquisite in every way , bespoke and welcoming - Firstly I must commend the chef Tyronne who created the most delicious dinner we have had so far in Sri Lanka. The beetroot and apple warm soup was a wonderful start to the 3 course set menu. Our room is exquisite with a balcony overlooking the pool with the valley below. The original home has been gloriously restored and the extension thoughtfully designed to complement the existing residence. If boutique is what you desire, then The Elephant Stables will be just perfect and an experience you will treasure.

SimonB6399 (10/5): Friendly, personal service in a historic and memorable location - The location looking down on Kandy is one thing, but the service we received was another. We were so grateful to the staff for organising us a tuk-tuk ride into town and for Indika for coming into town during the New Year celebrations to bring us back - and, the next day, showing me how to make egg hoppers. It's the personal touch that made Elephants Stables so memorable, while the place itself had so much history and character, which they'd kept hold of. My abiding memory is of lying in the pool looking out across the hills - this was a brilliant place to stay and hugely memorable.

JaitP (10/5): Great hotel with a great views and pool - Such a great hotel with a great pool and views which overlook Kandy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing as we had it outside overlooking the city. The rooms are a good size and the balcony gave it an extra touch. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Jinty27 (8/5): Unique colonial-style hotel - This unique hotel is set in the hills above Kandy so you do need to have your own transport or to take taxis or tuk tuks. We much appreciated the colonial-style decor and also enjoyed the swimming pool with its views over the city. The staff were very helpful and the meals good although expensive. Prices were in dollars which surprised us.
Jasmine (7/5): Gorgeous views, good size. Cleanliness lacking. - Views over the river and mountains was excellent. Pool and outdoor facilities were nice. Beds were comfortable. Linen was clean. Staff attitude and service were very good. Chef and butler were very obliging towards our requests. When we booked on Booking.com, it wasn’t listed that the room we booked was specifically the Riverdale Bungalow and that it would be 15 minutes away from the main hotel. We were informed this only after pre-payment was made. This should’ve been clearly listed on Booking.com. Furthermore, we weren’t aware that the bungalow was annexed to a larger house where the owners of the house still live. We thought we would’ve had the place all to ourselves. The room and outdoor areas requires deep cleaning. There were cobwebs around, not just high up in the ceilings, but also between the outdoor table and the chair so it showed clearly that cleaning is lacking. Instead of proper tissue box, they put a toilet roll in the tissue box holder. Menu didn’t have Sri Lankan cuisine on it so we requested.
katherinem836 (10/5): Boutique Hotel with fantastic staff - We stayed for 3 nights at the Elephant Stables and it was wonderful, a great location overlooking Kandy & the mountains. Front of house Nihal was kind, funny and very welcoming. Our room was spacious and comfortable with lovely views. We had dinner at the hotel every night as we liked the food created by Tyronne so very much. Our last evening we had the Sri Lankan curry that was a more like a banquet. We felt completely at home during our stay, it was our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka & I would definitely stay again.
