Josephine (1/5): Would never stay again cleaner stole my friends laptop - Rooms are okay. The listing on Booking.com and Google maps is completely wrong which as caused an extra 45 mins in a cab. They upgraded room slightly. But then my friend left laptop in the room, called them as soon as she realised and had left and they said it wasn’t there: so one of the cleaning has probably stolen it and they’re being evasive about looking into it further.

Hattaya (7/5): Excellent and Exceptional - The location, service and restaurants are fantastic. Especially Shangs Palace and Ssafron was excellent. Some of the drawers in the room were difficult to open and maybe slight updating can be done.

RajeevD141 (4/5): Poor Administration - I stayed at Shangri La last week and my overall stay was good. I was surprised by some of my experiences there. 1. I order Dal makhani and they delivered Non Veg to my room. Didn’t expect this from a 5 star hotel also the way the reacted was like “its okay, not a big deal” 2. I forgot to keep my perfume in my bag and I thought I will call them and ask someone from Bangalore to collect it. I am very sure it’s in my room. To my surprise, when I called them the next day, they told there was no perfume in the room. I am 100% sure it was there. Didn’t expect this from Shangri la to be honest. All I can say is the administration is not good here and these things are not taken seriously here.

harshamodha108 (10/5): Excellent and elegant - We had an excellent stay at this luxurious hotel for 4 nights. All the staff are well trained and professional. Nothing was too much for them, we had a little issue which was resolved professionally and quickly to our satisfaction. The service and quality of the offerings in the breakfast buffet is exceptional. I was in love with the huge quantity of egg free desserts and pastries, I have not seen this anywhere. The tea service and all Indian vegetarian dishes were delicious. What a treat to eat there. They also make you you anything you want even though there is already a wonderful spread of food. Ssaffron restaurant staff: Manager, Mohammed Raza Chef Pankaj Kumar Head Chef Jay Rawat and Jagdishbhai to name a few were so kind and thoughtful. Will definitely visit again ❤️

Suni-Jay (10/5): Shangri-La never disappoints - Shangri-La hotels always well presented and welcoming. The staff were all very joyful and always happy to assist with your request. Rooms were all well presented with large bathrooms, mines had a bath and a powerful shower. Beds were large and comfortable. Rooftop bar was always good for evening drinks. Will definitely recommend and stay again if visiting Bangaluru. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay memorable and enjoyable. 😊

It remains a dependable option in a very central location, though the property is beginning to show its age. Check our review of the Leela Palace for an alternative - the Shangrila-La offers better value for money while the Leela is more „old glory“. + Location – Central, close to Bengaluru Palace, City Hall and key institutions. View – Excellent city views from higher floors, particularly in Panorama rooms. Horizon Lounge – A pleasant retreat on the 17th floor offering a smaller but sufficient breakfast, as well as tea, cocktails and light dinner. Ideal for those wishing to avoid large buffet crowds. Italian restaurant – Well designed with surprisingly good pizza; a solid option for European comfort food. o Rooms – Our first room had an odor and we changed. The second was smaller but better. Upper floors are preferable for views. Rooms are functional and well laid out, though increasingly in need of refurbishment. Multi-cuisine restaurant / breakfast – Wide selection and decent quality, but often crowded and noisy; overall somewhat dated in atmosphere. Reception – Service varies depending on the staff member, noticeable on-the-job training. Gym and pool – Spacious and well equipped, yet ready for a modern refresh. - Courtyard – Not particularly inviting.
