• Senad (9/5): Super Aufenthalt mit Kost. Parkplatz und Hundefreundlich ⭐️ - Wir haben das sea side Zimmer bekommen, super angenehm, groß mit Ankleidezimmer und einem großem Bad inkl. Whirlpool. Etwas rustikal und in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber ☺️ die Rezeptionistin war sehr freundlich und das Restaurant, was erst ab 17-18 Uhr öffnete super lecker. Fenstergitter müssten evt. erneuert werden, denke zur Hochsaison wird es noch schlimmer mit den Moskitos.

• János (8/5): Nagyon szerethető összességében. - Reggeli nem volt az ajánlatban. Volt kávéfőző és vízmelegítő valamint tea és kávé napi feltöltéssel. A kilátás pompás volt és a tengerhez lejutás is egyszerű. A környéken több étterem is elérhető, de maga a Cavo étterme elegáns jól szervezett és jó a chef. Az öreg légkondicionáló már nem igen hűtött. Sajnos konyhapult nem volt saját reggeli készítéséhez és csak minimális evőeszköz és tányér.

• Keith (7/5): Great views, food and cocktails. Amazing location. Not best for sleep though. - The location was excellent and the sea views were stunning. Good cocktails in the bar and the restaurant is absolutely wonderful. There are 4 other excellent restaurants within 200 metres. The rooms are directly above the Cocktail bar area which likes to play DJ sounds (think "doof doof doof doof") until 2am on most nights. So if you value your sleep you might not appreciate CAVO
• John (3/5): could be so much better, won't be back - Location great for sea view, staff very pleasant apart from receptionist, free parking The room was over a restaurant that had a very loud disco until 1 am, The disco was not mentioned in property details nor on booking.com and the monotonous thud kept us awake even with windows shut. No table/desk or dressing table Room service / cleaning poor and erratic- only twice in 5 days Room maintenance bad - there was a broken doorstop fixed to middle of floor in the bathroom that had bare, rusty metal bits pointing up; I was lucky not to slice my foot open on it. This is dangerous. Told reception; she was dismissive and offhand, said nothing could be done about it,. The external sun blind was disintegrating. Supports for high level shelves in wardrobes missing, shelves were poised to fall out on top of you. Room doorlock had poor fit, door banged continuously when it was windy.
• Skylight (10/5): Beautiful Seaview - The owner kindly accommodated with everything I requested for. I love the spaciousness of the room, living room and bathroom, and the lighting in the suite was awesome. There are a few great restaurants nearby, and it is about 20 minutes of walking distance to the old town of Rethymno. It is a beautiful place to retreat. The walking distance to the old town. The bathroom had a minor water leak but the owner quickly addressed it to be repaired.

• Dympna (4/5): Disappointing Stay - The location is very good. The views were superb. The furnishings were high quality and very comfortable and it is a large suite with a lovely patio overlooking the sea. There was no sofa bed but advertised as having one. No signage outside to locate reception. The suite had not been properly cleaned at all. We found a huge amount of dust everywhere. The windows had not been cleaned. There were no toiletries or bathrobes as advertised. We had no hot water in the morning. Fridge was actually a wine cooler. Despite having a kettle there were no cups, tea, coffee etc - when questioning this we were told we could have tea and coffee in the restaurant after 9 a.m. In summary this place has the potential to be wonderful but they seem to have little or no interest in the accomodation rather concentrating on profitsfrom the restaurant. Poor and intermittent wifi. On leaving we invited the guest manager or owner to contact us privately to discuss our concerns but we were not contacted hence this review.
• Siim-sander (2/5): Useless hot tub without hot water and locking the customer in the building for the night!! - Location was good When I arrived, there was no one at the reception. Since there was a jacuzzi in the room, I wanted to use it, but there was no hot water. I immediately informed them by SMS and also told this to the restaurant downstairs. Warm water was promised for 20 minutes. I went out in the meantime and when I came back the water was lukewarm... That was only for a few minutes and then ice cold water started coming out again. Downstairs is a restaurant where there was a lot of noise until 1 am. It was especially terrible when the staff cleaned the restaurant and closed it, because there was clattering of dishes and loud shouting. Of course, nothing came of falling asleep early either. It was quiet for a while (around 1-2 in the morning) and I thought I'd go see the night life of the city. When leaving the room, it turned out that every door of the lower floor was locked and it was impossible to leave the building! I ventured in the middle of the night in the dark and empty lobby and in the restaurant, hoping to find a way out of the house, which was impossible!!! How can such a thing even happen, that the accommodation locks its customer in the house for the night. Anything could have happened and I would have been helplessly stuck in the house. I also tried to open the front door with my key, but it didn't work, so there was nothing left but to go to sleep and call my stay over.... Terrible experience.
• Angus (9/5): Lovely apartment at quiet end of Rethymno - We only used the hotel as a day room before we had a late flight out but would certainly use again for longer stay. Location was quiet, close to a couple of good restaurants and even had a stairs down to a small beach to give easy access to the sea for swimming.

• Sandy (8/5): Very good - We thought the hotel and restaurant looked beautiful and seriously it was probably the biggest suite we’ve ever stayed in. It is a bit farther out of the town but we enjoyed the walk. The hotel it’s self is small but the restaurant is seems to be the biggest part. We had lunch when we arrived and the views were so amazing. Our suite was also huge and lovely but maybe a bit dated. Still for the price we were happy

• Ivanel (9/5): Good stay for the money - The flat was amazing. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot. The lady at the reception was very nice and friendly. Very poor wi fi connection and no hot water most of the days. The place needs a better management. The place needs a make over and some attention to details.

• Magnus (7/5): Good - Nice location, the suite was spacious and beautiful. We loved the bathtub, and the air conditioning worked well. We stayed for a week and there was no cleaning of the room during that time. We had problems with the hot water several times, and initially the WiFi was not working in our suite. The view was not what we expected.
• Despina (8/5): Very good - The room was huge, the view was lovely. Big bathroom, large storage room for clothes. No staff at the reception in the afternoon. No breakfast option available and also some of the features of the room were missing (hairdryer). Also a guy from the restaurant below told us the music is until 11 at night which that was not the case since the music ended at 2 in the morning on a Wednesday. It didnt really bother us but we would appreciate the honesty.
• Eduarto (10/5): Best place to stay in Rethymno. Good location, great food. - The location was great. It was really close to the highway and fairly close to the old town. The view was magnificent and the staff very friendly. The place was opened from 8:30 to 2:00 AM. In these hours the staff was there, but after that if you wanted to come later or leave earlier you had to call a guy to come and open the door, which was not a big problem because he lived next door.
• Brenda (8/5): Aside from the incredibly loud music in the bar/restaurant the suites were nice minus the few examples mentioned abo - The property was great, nice rooms, clean, and great views. The bed was comfortable and the sitting area spacious. The bathroom was quite large with a nice shower and jacuzzi tub. However, there were no hangers in the very large closets, no iron, one room had a hairdryer and one did not. The back patio area was not useable because the awning was broken and it was incredibly hot without shade. Also, it would have been nice to have coffee and tea available in the rooms since there is no staff available until 9:00. But I must say the staff was quite friendly and helpful, absolutely no complaints with them at all. Nothing wrong with the actual property however, there is a very large outdoor restaurant/bar adjacent to the suites that had a DJ playing music from 19:00 to 2:00. At first the music is at a level wherein conversation is possible but it becomes increasingly louder so that by 22/23:00 it is impossible to talk without yelling at the people at your table. And in the suites it is too loud to sleep until it stops. We were not made aware of this until we had already moved in. This was quite a problem.
