Cleanliness, standard of decoration, room presentation, facilities (e.g. decent coffee, plenty of milk, extra, good quality toilet roll). Excellent quality and quantity breakfast. Vanessa has got it nailed. Thank you. Nothing other than maybe the room could do with a portable fan as it gets hot when it's very sunny.

• David (9/5): Relaxing time to chill out - The location is a far from the beach but there is a bus stop so close and a good service. Also the breakfast was good but I like two cups of coffee not one. Maybe more information, on buses or taxis and places to eat or visit in the room or by front door.
• Daniel (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at Fernlea Guest House. We were greeted by a lovely host and shown to a very comfortable room with a large ensuite shower room. The next morning, we had an excellent full English breakfast with coffee and orange juice. The property is immaculate throughout, and we couldn't fault a thing. We would definitely recommend this guest house for short stays in Weston-super-Mare.

• julie (7/5): It was still a pleasant stay and served our needs. - Vanessa was a great host and went the extra mile. Lovely cooked breakfasts and very clean. My partner and I were there three nights and it was a very small/ tiny room. Once our bags (one bag each) were in the room there was not a great deal of room left. I would have to scramble over the bed to get to the bathroom and toilet. The steps were very steep. The dog was in and around the kitchen when breakfast was being cooked.

The house is immaculate. I stayed in a twin room, which was spacious with lovely garden views. Tea/coffee/biscuits in room. Nice en-suite with shower. Showers gel/body lotion etc. TV . Gorgeous tasty breakfast. Full English/Cereal/Toast. ( would have liked fresh fruit and yoghurt option , but the breakfast was so nice, it wasn’t a problem) Public house over the road, which had live music during Sunday afternoon. Nothing to dislike.

It is spotlessly clean, has excellent facilities and a charming host for whom nothing was too much trouble. I was initially concerned about the location on a busy road junction, ... but Vanessa made a parking space available right by the front door, away from the road (my soft-top car has minimal security). The property is a haven of silence - absolutely NO traffic noise. Don't change anything, for me it was perfect.

There is nothing to not like, would highly recommend Fernlea Guest House.

The beds were comfortable. We stayed in the king room which was at the back of the house. It over looks a lovely garden. Vanessa did make it clear this is off bounds as you have to go through hers to get to it and i honestly be the same. I wouldn't want people trooping through my home. The cooked breakfast was lovely. I like my bacon well done and it did not disappoint. There was a selection of cereals also and milk & orange juice already set up on the table. The coffee came in a cafetiere which was lovely also. Anything we needed, Vanessa was there. The place is on the outskirts of town but only about a 10 minute drive to the beach. We preferred this as there was also actual parking. Makes a difference to some of the other B&B's in the area. Highley recommend Fernlea as a place to stay. We will definitely be returning. Nothing. It was a great stay.

• Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything, one of the best places I have stayed .It's a 2 mile strole on a footpath into Weston-super-Mare sea front if you like walking. We had a full cooked breakfast in the mornings that took us to tea time . Highly Recommend. Really can't fault the Place, only upgrade I would do and that's more to suit me is fit plug sockets with USB outlets but I can say this about most places.

• Susan (10/5): A weekend in Weston Super Mare - The owner Vanessa was very welcoming she explained what keys opened and locked the bedroom and front door and offered to help with our suitcase but we said we could manage, she showed us to our room. Vanessa answered all our questions about what time was breakfast,when did the buses run and supplied us with a phone number for a taxi on Saturday night. Vanessa's full English breakfast was second to none it set us up for the day. She made time to speak to all the guests and took interest in what they had been doing during the day. Thourally enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again The positioning of the the guest house is quite a way out of the town centre, we walked into town and it took us 40 minutes. There is a bus stop across the road outside the pub and buses run frequently. Fernlea is right on the traffic lights on a busy road, we booked a taxi and asked them to pick us up across the road at the pub car park as it was difficult to stop on the road outside. But it wasn't a problem.

The hostess was really friendly and made us feel really welcome throughout our stay. She even got up early on the Saturday to make me breakfast so that I could dash off to get ready for a wedding. The room was light and airy, decorated to a high standard and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were available in the room & replenished ready for our second morning. Plenty of parking and close to lots of local amenities. Nothing!
• Lou (10/5): Fabulous Guesthouse - I can't fault fernlea guesthouse, fabulous hostess nothing was too much trouble from start to finish and very informative about the local area. Our room was spotlessly clean, infact the whole guesthouse was. Stayed in the twin room and was a great size with a lovely ensuite bathroom, lovely comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was made to order each morning and was delicious and not greasy at all, lovely cafetiere coffee or a pot of tea, toast, cereal and juice also available. Free onsite parking on the drive, space for about 4/5 cars. Free WiFi which had great signal. 5 min drive to the beach/town or a 45 min walk, plus it's on the main bus route to the seafront. Will definitely recommend and will book again next time I come to weston, I would'nt want to stay anywhere else while visiting. There was nothing to dislike

I really liked the location, being situated away from Weston-Super Mare town (a 30- 40 minute walk away). Vanessa is a very welcoming host. Vanessa has great knowledge of the local area and gave me suggestions as to where to visit and what to do on the days I didn't have any plans. It is very clear that Vanessa takes pride in Fernlea Guest house, the cleanliness of all areas was exceptional. My bedroom was perfectly sized with a comfortable bed and the shower room was clean and functional. The English cooked breakfast was outstanding and freshly prepared to order every morning. The bacon was cooked to perfection! delicious! There is a day nursery located close by, so there are young children learning/playing outside, but as I was out and about, they didn't hinder my stay at all.
