Guest Reviews
- Julieanne (6/5): If you don't mind the sound of a train in the middle of the night, it is a great hotel! - It was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was good! The train track goes right along the back side of the hotel, so you get woken up in the middle of the night - it was pretty miserable!
- Benno208 (8/5): It's like a scene from my cousin Vinny - I like this place. The hot breakfast is good. I had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links. But there was also cereal, waffles, cold milk and orange juice. The place was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was nice. It's the darn train. Not that you can do anything about it. It won't keep me away though. That is a small concession for a nice room at a good price.
- Jolene (3/5): Glad it was only for one night - Front desk staff allowed early check in and was very friendly. Staff smoking right in front of front door next to no smoking sign, had to walk through the smoke. Stained sheets. Ripped carpet in room. Trash and broken panels in outdoor hallway by laundry room. Garbage in ice container in room. Mini fridge room temperature.
- Stéphanie (8/5): Motel très bien ! - Ouverture du Check in 24h/24h. Machine à gaufres pour le petit déjeuner !
- william Clark (9/5): Perfect hotel for the Elma Dog Show - I was staying in Montesano for the All Breed Dog show in Elma, WA. It was just a 10 minute drive on an empty freeway to the show. Staff loves dogs.
Breakfast was fine. Coffee 7X24! The Fishing Hole restaurant located across the parking lot was great. Good menu. Full bar. My window did not have a screen.
- Megan (1/5): I actually left and stayed somewhere else. - There was a door into our bathroom from another room that I couldn’t lock.

- Anna (10/5): Super Motel!
- Seth (10/5): - Too much noise from above
- kyle (6/5): It was OK. I would not stay there again. - The breakfast was good. the location is right next to train tracks. The trains blew their whistles every time they came into town. When I say next to the train tracks, I mean next to the train tracks. The parking lot butts up against the tracks. Not getting a full night of sleep. The trains came through several times a night.
- Mika (10/5): -
- Williams (4/5): It was not the best this time. - It’s a good location for where I am going Someone kept wiggling my door handle during the night.
- Teresa (10/5): -
- Danielle (8/5): -
- Scott (7/5): Place was fine for a short stay. - Breakfast was tolerable. Good thing I brought food.
Coffee was better. Forced air ran continuously. Good for white noise, bad in that there was a constant drying breeze.
- ackley (10/5): - Location, breakfast.
- Twaites (10/5): I definitely will be returning - The room was spacious, huge bathroom, the beds were absolutely comfortable, the price was good, location is great. You can literally walk anywhere from that location to short distances for the store, food, etc. They also provide a delicious complimentary breakfast from 6am to 9am. We stayed in room 200. Everything was great

- Jie (10/5): - We stayed one night and found it was surprisingly good. Spacious and clean room, decent breakfast, nice staff, Gas station and grocery steps away. Strongly recommend!
- Paul (8/5): - Perhaps I had higher expectations than I should’ve. Service was great, but the price to value was not what I expected. When traveling for business there isn’t a whole lot of options in that area so you get what you get.
- Josh (8/5): -
- Michael (7/5): -
- Zdeněk (8/5): -
- MARY (8/5): Good for the Price - The room is spacious with go beds and internet connection. Downsize is a bit noisy. All and all, it is a good place for the money.
- Jeri (8/5): - The facility is old, shows some wear, but everything worked & was clean. The front desk staff was very personable & helpful. I would certainly stay again.
- Angela (2/5): Will NOT be back - GROSS.
First red glad was the check in ladies bra sticking out of an extremely low cut shirt with a cigarette and lighter sticking out. (How classy huh?)
the first room was actually ok but the tv didn’t work and when we got moved we were put in a room I’m not sure they were supposed to. It was filthy and couldn’t smell anything over the smell of cigarette smoke… in a NON SMOKING motel.
- ARKADIUSZ (8/5): -
- Melanie (6/5): - The staff was really nice. The bathroom however did not appear to get cleaned. Still a used bar of soap, and partially used shampoo, and a dirty towel!! Crumbs in the mini fridge and the microwave was also dirty.
The beds were pretty good.
THE TRAIN...I know I read one or two reviews that mentioned the train but didn't realize it was a literally a thrown stone away from the hotel.
The breakfast was nice to have. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage. The also have bagels and breads along with cereal. Juice, milk and coffee but not water from what I could tell (not a big deal).
I probably won't stay again on account of the uncleaned shower and the train.
- Charles (4/5): - This place should be your last resort. The front desk staff was inefficient resulting in an unnecessarily long wait. Our room was outdated and had worn-out rugs and stained, dirty-looking chairs. In addition, furnishings, with dressers, side tables, and bath fixtures all appearing significantly worn down. The bed linens, both sheets and pillowcases, were all wrinkled as if someone slept in them. We wondered if they had been freshly laundered. The motel is outdated with very thin walls, so you hear TVs and conversations from nearby rooms and outside. Furthermore, the motel is located right next to a railroad. While the train runs sporadically, there is a nightly 2 AM train coming through town accompanied by blaring horns, making it impossible to have a restful sleep.
Lastly, we had a chuckle with this but, there was a sign in the bathroom warning of a $25 charge for missing or stained towels. Who would steal already thin and worn condition towels from the room?
- Jodi (9/5): only stayed one night-it was fine - Cozy, clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was a little chilly but they had a little fireplace that warmed it right up. Only criticism, if it is one, was how close to the road (and noise) it was. location a little too close to the road so a bit noisy
- tyamrocks (8/5): It was nice - The breakfast was good The room had diet on the baseboard and there was some blood stains on the wall in the bathroom
- Helen (8/5): Welcoming and comfortable - Great location just off highway. Not many eating options as expected in such a small town. Gas station and small grocery store Nothing
- Molly (10/5): - Clean hotel, with friendly staff. There's a restaurant across the parking lot or an easy walk to the downtown area with a lot more options.
- Melissa (10/5): Will book here again! - Perfect location! Loved that there was a dog park across the street for our FurBabies No complaints
- Edwin (8/5): - Having multiple trains pass 150 feet from my room at night was not good, otherwise, I was mostly satisfied. Being handicapped, it was easy to get from car to room and dining was close, even with my walker, I could walk to dining. The power outlets were totally worn out where I needed to power my medical equipment. I found a couple that seemed safe. Bad power outlets are a fire hazzard. It is pretty common to find worn out power outlets in rooms, but accessible rooms where medical equipment needs reliable power should get more attention to replacing them.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean and well stocked with items for bathroom and shower/tub. I had a little issue with the t.v. with 2 remotes. Couldn't get the golf channel but it was probably my fault and I wasn't in the room that much since I was playing in a 2-day tournament.
Staff was courteous.
- Justine (8/5): - Staff was amazing, room clean the only thing is the train very close so noisy at night someday
- Erwin (8/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): - Exceeded our expectations.
- Dennis (7/5): Stayed there before so I knew what to expect so it must be good enough to book again - Did not eat breakfast..location great walk to stores and restaurants 30 feet from train tracks...family with kids running around in room above me
- Lesley (7/5): Relatief duur voor wat je krijgt - De kamer is op zich ruim en een relatief grote badkamer. De ligging is niet heel leuk. En de deur naar de badkamer zit vlak naast een bed, niet heel fijn ‘s nachts.
- Rainer (8/5): Alles in allem OK.
- Felix (2/5): No sleep for customer ! - Booked a suite . Had 1 chair and table . Bed was hard , room noise from people on above floor , train came twice in the night . Room actually vibrated from train being so close. We did not sleep ! Do not recommend this hotel. Mostly everything
- Judy (8/5): - We stayed here previously due to it's convenience.to the highway However this time encountered a few inconveniences. The TV remote in the first room we were placed did not work at all. They couldn't fix it so moved us to another room. The remote in the new room worked EXCEPT for turning on and off & turning the sound up and down, so we had to control from back of the TV. The housekeeper didn't seem to check our room daily so we had to asked the front desk for towels, coffee and emptying the waste baskets. The front desk people were very accommodating and helpful. This may seem trivial to some who read this, but we were there for 6 nights. On a high note the room we stayed in was very large and well appointed. The price was reasonable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I think the issue here may be with the upper management not making sure everything worked as it should and staff had to deal with issues by themselves without much help. The price was treasonable and the rooms were clean. Also a great WiFi and breakfasts were typical fare but good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a great experience - One of the worst stays on our family trip.
We had somebody stay in a room next to us that must have been on drugs. Playing extremely load music all night long so that even the use of ear plugs helped much.
Called the reception and was told it must be one of the "workers" and they would try to talk to them but nothing changed.
Also the location next to the train tracks doesn't help but thats on me for not noticing when i booked.
Employees were nice and breakfast reasonable.
But because of not being able to sleep I would never book again.
- ROMEO (5/5): -
- David (8/5): - The rooms were clean and they are huge. Staff was really friendly and the front desk is staffed 24/7, which is unusual for non-chain hotels in this county. Your experience here will 100% depend on your fellow travelers. If you have someone noisy next to you, with rowdy kids and loud TV - you're not going to like your stay. If you have neighbors who comprehend the idea hotel walls are thin, you're going to have a good stay.
My best advice is to bring earplugs. With earplugs in, this was a perfectly clean and convenient place to stay.
- John (4/5): Had no idea there was a gas station right there, whole lower level full of businesses & train tracks - Breakfast, beds comfortable and office employees were very nice. Thin walls, room facing gas station is loud with business below playing loud music all day, limited parking, train noise and had to move rooms because TV didn’t work.
- Katrin (8/5): - Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich. Der Teppichboden im Zimmer war schmutzig.
- Hans (8/5): -
- Frank (10/5): - A great breakfast. Charming town
- Renee Christine (8/5): - Very friendly staff. It was a quick overnight stay but enjoyed the clean, spacious room. Good restaurant recommendations from the front desk.
- Steven (2/5): DON'T - If you like train horns, diesel trucks, and noisy neighbors after hours this is your spot. We gave up a second night and found alternative lodging.
- Dustin (10/5): - Great Stay
- Vicki (10/5): - Great Restaurant across the parking lot. The Fish house
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (10/5): Comfort and convenience in a beautiful small town - Clean rooms, friendly staff N/A
- Tom (7/5): Overall great. - Breakfast was great. Room was clean and spacious. Train was unexpectedly loud and close! But not really a problem.
- Jardine (10/5): Cute comfortable hotel. - The hotel was really cute, and comfortable. I loved the staff. The breakfast was better than most. It was in a good location. I liked that there was a gas station right next to it. N/A
- Tony (2/5): Avoid this place - Nothing You can hear the neighbors through the wall (no privacy)
The motel is right next to a gas station (very noisy)
poor breakfast
3 towels for 4 people
- Malgorzata (7/5): Good - Too noisy neighborhood.
- Kaitlyn (5/5): Passable -
- Hongyi (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed at the night of Independence day. The staff was nice and responsible, and gave some kind travel suggestions. The room was spacious and clean. They provide everything including a refrigerator, a microwave and warm breakfast. It's a wonderful stop to stay on a tiring trip!
- Brandy (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Easy stop for one night before starting route 101
- Simmons (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (10/5): - Very friendly staff, clean room, excellent breakfast.
- Kimberly (6/5): - Would have been nice to warn us about the train that roared through in the middle of the night... and also, someone hit our car in the parking lot.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melody (10/5): - I was really at ease with the friendliness of the staff I felt like I was home ! Truly enjoyed the effforts put in to be clean secure and friendly thanks
- Tiffany (2/5): - The room was filthy. There was stuff spilled on and in the fridge and inside microwave. There was used coffee in the pot. Stains all over the floor. The enamel was worn off the toilet seat and tub. We laid our own blanket down on top of bed and slept on top with no pillow and left without showering as soon as daylight was up. There was alot of noise outside of window. I cant find how to post pictures but I have them.
- Ke (7/5): Good -
- Paige (10/5): It was better than expected! Tanner at the frimt desk was really kind and even let us have three bags of ice for no char - It was easy to find and clean. nothing
- Susan (6/5): Can’t believe this is an 8 rating. - The man working was very friendly! The hotel… was next to a gas station where the roar of the Harley engines last until after 11pm. Our room was not very clean. There was a gum wrapper on the floor and pet food in the crease of the door.
- Aleksandr (8/5): Good place for a night - Spacious room, good old small town immersion. Breakfast better than expected, even waffle maker is available.
Reception staff greeted well. Friendly attitude included. Right next to a Chevron gas pump. Convenience. Hairdryer wasn't part of the room amenities. That caught off guard. Although not related to the property on question, In the evening at the gas station's Food Mart people brandishing pistols tucked in their pants were seen. Totally open 'it's almost falling outta my pants' carry.
- Danielle (8/5): Convenient location. Clean room - Staff was great. Room was large. Interior was dated but clean. Breakfast was good. Train went by in the middle of the night and blared its horn. 3/5 of us slept through it
- Boaz (8/5): - This is an average motel on the road
- Charles (7/5): Great late booking close to where I needed to be - Much better than typical continental breakfast norms
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (8/5): - Not a lot of frills but a great location right off the highway, friendly staff and the basics that you need for a solid night's sleep.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beryl (4/5): - Felt unsafe. The room felt only half way furnished.
- Peter (8/5): - Everything was great
- Katherine (10/5): It was a pleasant stay and we would go there again - it clean and comfortable it also had breakfast that was unexpected it’s next to the railroad so there were 2 trains that passed during our stay
- Besnik (8/5): - The property is in nice shape but our bed sank to one side. Also the door to the bathroom was off center so it wouldn't close. The breakfast was nice with waffles, eggs, links and cereal.
- Jackie (10/5): Excellent stay - Loved the breakfast Having to climb to the second floor.
- Jeanne (6/5): - Cute little town, good location next to interstate 101. Front office staff very courteous. Accommodations it's very clean but dated. Bed was comfortable.
- Thomas (10/5): - Good
- Marylynn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amanda (10/5): A delightful place to stay and the breakfast!! - Clean nicely remodeled and the breakfast was amazing
- Benno208 (7/5): Trains honking during the night! - I always like how clean it is. I like the hot breakfast that is complimentary. Getting woken up by a train horn two or three times during the night. Literally right outside my window. Not a fan!
- Sheila (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was ok. Enough variety.
