Every single staff member was beautiful and kind and caring. We felt so well looked after. The infinity pool is a lovely, tranquil space for adults only and the wonderful staff were attentive to our needs while there. The location is great and it feels like you're right out of the bustle and yet when you step out of the resort you're right in the middle of it. Close to fantastic restaurants and shopping.

Having travelled a lot and stayed in many hotels over the years, this one now sits firmly as our number one. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely exceptional. Nothing was ever too much trouble and every request was met with a genuine smile and eagerness to help. What really stood out was how welcoming they were to our 4-year-old son. They made him feel completely at home, which made the whole experience even more special for our family. The cleanliness and presentation of the hotel was flawless. Our room was always immaculate and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job. There was constant bottled water replenished, nightly turndown service, and the highlight for our son — towel figures left in the room which he absolutely loved. Those small touches really made the stay memorable. The breakfast each morning was sensational. What we loved most was the flexibility — you could choose from the buffet, order from the menu, or mix between both. There was a fantastic range of Indonesian dishes as well as Western options, so there was something for everyone and it never felt repetitive. The beach bar was another highlight. The atmosphere was perfect for relaxing by the ocean, the service was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. A special mention also goes to the concierge team, who were incredibly helpful. They assisted us with planning arrangements for my wife’s 40th birthday, as well as helping with various other plans and requests during our stay. Their support and attention to detail really made the celebration special. Overall, the staff truly make this hotel what it is. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests sets Alila Seminyak apart from anywhere else we’ve stayed. We travel frequently and stay in many hotels around the world, but Alila Seminyak stands above them all. We will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended.

The breakfast buffet at Seasalt is one of the best I've experienced. Will definitely return.

- ARamiah (10/5): Indian Ocean and Big Sky - I originally booked for 3 nights but extended to a fourth as the indian ocean was deeply seductive - not in the beach bar sense - but in its elemental primordial essence. The power of walking at sunrise and sunset on the beach and having Indian Ocean at your DOOR STEP - and sleeping to the waves is a lullaby that resets the nervous system deeply. The staff at Alila are wonderful - no forced warmth - heartfelt service that is attuned and sensitive. They do not hover but engage and entertain when they feel it could elevate my time there. Victor who has an amazing soprano voice sang me the most heartfelt birthday that made me laugh out with joy. Trust me no one is too old for that kind of birthday song !! The spa is also very elegant and responsive. My room was deeply peaceful - I chose Sun-Thu nights to avoid the crowds. Worked perfectly. The architecture space light and color is deeply expansive and it does not feel like a sterile business hotel with over 100 rooms. On my last morning - a beautiful rainbow crowned the sky. All the urban polish with all the elemental beauty of Bali in one space.

Beginning with Rina at the Front Desk who greeted me when arriving with great familiarity, when she heard I was unwell and the hotel called a doctor for me, she checked in with me every morning to ensure my well being. Same for the lady on the phone who called the doctor for me, sending me tea, and hydrating drinks, very empathetic when I wasn't feeling well. Housekeeping team always kept my room looking great. The breakfast crew beginning with the hostess (I can't remember name) who also checked in each morning to ensure I was taken care of. Cynthia who always recognises me and treats me like royalty to Krishna, Prabu, Kusuma, Yuni and everyone else. The beach bar crew with Dwi who attended to my photographic requests, to Anu Maryati who also is a very familiar face and so kind, Evi, Indra and two ladies whose names escape me (one of them in a navy blue dress and the other sometimes worked during the day at the pool) always took care of me in the bar. The complimentary fruit plates and cake at breakfast, at the family pool and at the beach bar were very touching. Once again, your service is very appreciated and is the reason I always to choose to stay with you, my Bali family. See you soon. Richie

We were able to check in on arrival despite being before the formal check in time, we were upgraded to a fab room, we were allowed to check out an hour later than the official check out time. The staff were lovely, the breakfast delicious and with huge variety of choice. There are four pools, one adult only. The service round the pool was fab, I really cannot fault this little haven of luxury

The location is brilliant close to many restaurants, massage places and shopping. The rooms were very spacious with nice size balcony and very comfortable deck furniture. The hotel staff surprised me with a birthday cake a card which was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your vacation in Bali

The location is the standout — right on the beach with beautiful sunset views and just a short walk to some of Seminyak’s best restaurants and bars. Once you step inside the resort, it feels calm, stylish and private despite being in such a busy area. The staff were excellent across the board — warm, attentive and genuinely helpful. Nothing felt forced or scripted, which made the stay feel relaxed and personal. The pool areas and beach club vibe are a big highlight. Multiple pools, plenty of lounges, and a great spot for afternoon drinks while watching the sun go down. Seasalt restaurant was also very good, especially for breakfast and sunset dining. Rooms were spacious, modern and comfortable, with good air-con, great beds and a clean, minimalist design that suits the beachfront setting. A few things to be aware of: The beach itself is typical Seminyak — not white-sand postcard quality. It’s still great for walking and sunsets, but not ideal for swimming. It’s more of an adults-oriented, social resort than a quiet retreat or family hotel. Overall, this is a fantastic choice for couples or adults wanting a stylish beachfront stay with energy and atmosphere, especially if you enjoy sunsets, cocktails and being close to great food. Tip: Book an ocean-view room if you can — it makes a big difference.

The lobby is very spacious, the hotel has a beautiful open design, and being right by the sea creates a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, however, they do feel a bit outdated and would benefit from some renovation to match the standard of the rest of the property. The restaurants are excellent, the spa is absolutely exceptional (one of the best highlights of the stay), and the breakfast is outstanding, extremely varied with so many options. The views are breathtaking, whether from the beach bar or during breakfast. I have stayed twice in Alila and every time I feel delighted. I highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟

Sea view suite is nice. Welcome card obviously for someone else.... Compliment tin of Muntigunung obviously already opened and used by previous guests... Air conditioning needs cleaning. - sit0183 (2/5): My kids got food poisoning - Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with our stay at your hotel on 2 January. My family and I, along with my sister’s family, checked in after reserving two rooms for a total of seven people. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. Check-in was very slow and poorly managed. We were offered an upgrade to a penthouse room, which initially appeared to be a complimentary gesture. However, after lengthy back-and-forth between staff and management, we were presented with an unreasonably high price for the upgrade. Even the so-called “discounted” rate was more expensive than our two original rooms combined. The process was time-consuming and frustrating, and we ultimately declined and proceeded with our original booking. Service throughout the hotel was consistently slow and inattentive, in stark contrast to other five-star properties we have stayed at previously. At the pool bar, we ordered snacks, pizzas, and milkshakes. The wait time was excessive, and we repeatedly had to ask staff to attend to us, which should not be necessary at a hotel of this standard. The most serious issue occurred after the milkshakes were served to my 13-year-old son and my 14-year-old niece. Both children mentioned that the drinks tasted “off” but had already consumed them. That same night, my niece became severely ill with vomiting, diarrhea, and extreme fatigue. Her condition was so bad that she was unable to walk the following morning and had to crawl through the hotel lobby to reach a taxi for her 7 a.m. flight. She required wheelchair assistance at the airport and was clearly suffering from severe food poisoning. The next morning, my son also became very ill with similar symptoms. While he had more time to rest as our flight was the following evening, he was still unable to eat, was in pain, and had to fly the next day in poor condition. Watching both children suffer was extremely distressing. This raises very serious concerns about kitchen hygiene and food safety standards at your property. In addition, our airport transfer experience was unacceptable. Although we were willing to pay the USD 50 transfer fee, the vehicle provided was unclean and had an unpleasant odor. The driver behaved unprofessionally, asked inappropriate questions, spoke loudly on his phone on speaker mode during the drive, and was clearly distracted while driving with one hand. This was unsafe and made us extremely uncomfortable. At one point, I had to ask him to stop using his phone out of respect and concern for our safety. Given the combination of poor service, serious food safety concerns, and unsafe transportation, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor would I consider staying there again. I strongly urge management to take these matters seriously, particularly regarding kitchen hygiene, staff training, and guest safety. I expect a formal response addressing these issues.

When we booked, we didn’t realise our room would be a bit out of the main area in another bulding, so we paid extra to stay in the main part but we did get the ocean view as well! The Salt restaurant is simply a first-class dining experience , everyone must try it! I couldn’t fault it at all!

- Y1769ZPmichaelw (8/5): Fabulous staff - Disappointing, 10 years ago this hotel was built but it looks a lot older because when maintenance is done it is done on the cheap and poorly, the room was well located looking over the ocean but the room itself was poorly maintained and needed refurbishment The room was clean but always looked dirty, the material they used on the floors was quite porous especially in the bathroom, each time repairs were carried out the results were disastrous as shown by the repair work in the middle of the room. Our team had an unforgettable few days at the Alila Seminyak - the unanimous verdict is this is the best offsite to date! Your wonderful hospitality begun before we arrived, with your extremely accommodating team guiding us through the planning process. Our requests for fun and stimulating team building activities, creative and delicious cuisines and special arrival arrangements were all met with obliging responses. Your resort is blessed with a perfect location: so close to the bustling centre of Seminyak with its myriad restaurants and shops, yet wrapped in its own serene bubble, surrounded by soothing greens on one side and the amazing beach and sea on the other. We were cocooned by the peace and quiet (and pampering!) whenever we were in the resort, and yet whenever we wanted some “action”, all we needed to do was walk 10 mins (or be transported by your many buggies) and be in the thick of it, avoiding the notorious traffic! Our suites were beautifully appointed: clean lines, practical spaces and a perfect oasis to retreat to after a day of activities. It was easy to fall asleep on the comfortable bed amidst the sounds of the gentle sea, and hard to get out of it the morning! However there was always great incentive to wake up: the indulgent breakfast spread waiting for us at the restaurant! I don’t know how many times I have heard my colleagues rave about the food - Chef Mandy and her team are truly some of the most talented chefs we have had the privilege of meeting (and their creations – of tasting)! The first hints of the pleasures that awaited us for the next few days appeared during our welcome dinner reception, when we were treated to Balinese and international delights, including a whole Babi Guling – the Balinese specialty. The crackling skin of the perfectly roasted pig was irresistible – crisp, sublimely fragrant and worth every sinful flavourful calorie! The meals throughout the next few days were consistently of the highest standard, nothing like the soulless “resort food” found in many so-called high-end resorts, but each meal meticulously and lovingly prepared. We saw Chef Mandy and F&B Director Dante during every meal presentation and it was obvious they were not only “doing their job” but were passionate about delivering an explosion of flavours with every bite! Special shout-out too to your team for hosting an incredible team building activity: it’s not easy getting 60+ people excited about sweaty games in the hot sun, but they managed it! We all had so much fun and walked away with a greater appreciation of the importance of teamwork and camaraderie, and the art of winning and losing gracefully! Finally, special compliments to your spa team. The spa space was another example of the simple elegance evident throughout the hotel, and the treatment that I received from Putri (whom I discovered also doubled up as a host at the team building activity!) was just the tonic that I needed after a few days of physical activities. So congratulations on an outstanding property and marvelous team! I can’t wait to come back with my family and friends so that they too can experience what paradise is like on the Island of the Gods!

The room service could be more efficient and the room could be better maintained and enhanced cleanness. We also brought a filter for shower water that was absolutely a right decision. It might take approx 50-60 mins from DPS airport to hotel in rush hour.
- Trail14310387618 (2/5): The mold - We stayed for two nights in two rooms as a group of four. One room had a strong musty and moldy smell, while the other was filled with an overpowering lemongrass scent — likely from an insect repellent intended to mask the humidity odor. We tried to communicate with the hotel to change the room with the mold smell, but there appeared to be poor coordination between the management and housekeeping teams. There were no proper responses on WhatsApp, and staff frequently showed up at our room without prior notice. Initially, we were offered a large dehumidifier, but later decided to view other rooms instead. While waiting, the housekeeping team brought the dehumidifier, which we declined, expecting a better alternative. However, after inspecting two other rooms, we found that both had an even stronger mold smell. We decided to return to our original room and requested the dehumidifier again, but only a small one was available — which took another hour to arrive. It seemed that the entire hotel was facing a humidity issue, as most dehumidifiers were already in use. While it’s understandable for a beachfront property, a hotel of this level should have better humidity and odor control. Because the issue remained unresolved until evening, we missed enjoying the sunset on our first day. The dehumidifier we received was also extremely noisy, and the water tank had to be emptied several times overnight. The housekeeping staff were very kind and offered to help each time, but it was not practical to call for assistance repeatedly during the night. As a result, we were unable to rest comfortably. Another concern was communication. Even the manager and front desk staff, including our assigned receptionist (Ari), were not fluent in English, which made it difficult to resolve the issue smoothly. My wife, who lived in the United States for nearly ten years, had no problem communicating, so the language barrier was entirely on the hotel’s side. At one point, the hotel even offered us a downgraded room as an alternative. This was unacceptable, especially considering that reputable hotels typically maintain a maximum occupancy of around 85% to allow for room adjustments. Being told to move to a cheaper room because the hotel was fully booked was unreasonable. As compensation, the hotel offered a 30-minute spa voucher, which felt dismissive rather than helpful. I did not request a room change for any trivial reason. I simply expected a clean and comfortable stay. I declined the spa offer since I had already tried it before and requested a complimentary laundry service instead, but was only offered a 15% discount. Because I no longer trusted their service, I used an external laundry provider, excluding my expensive clothes. Unfortunately, those items developed mold due to the room’s humidity. When I made the reservation in February, I paid in advance and clearly informed the hotel via email about my respiratory condition, requesting an appropriate room. Despite this, my wife and I had to sleep wearing masks both nights, waking up coughing each morning from the moldy air. Overall, this was the worst Hyatt experience we have ever had. We will not be recommending this property to anyone.

- hot_traxz (10/5): Fantastic stay for the whole family at Alila Seminyak - Overall, my family & I of 4 adults enjoyed our 3-night stay at Alila Seminyak. I had decided to stay at Alila Seminyak as I personally had a wonderful time staying at this property back in 2022. Compliments to the Concierge online team who handled our pre-arrival queries & requests promptly & efficiently. Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport, we were warmly received by the Hyatt representative at the airport & were promptly ushered to our waiting transport to Alila Seminyak. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the concierge team at the main lobby, who attended to our belongings & ushered us for check-in. Generally, the check-in process went smoothly & we were kindly accorded one of our booked suite rooms for an earlier check-in (we had arrived about 1.5 hours before the 3.00pm check-in time) - while our second room was still being cleaned. While we were promised that the room would be ready for a 3.00pm check-in, however we did not hear back from the Front Desk. At about 3.40pm, I had to call to the Front Desk to enquire on the room readiness, of which only then we were informed that the room was ready for check-in. Perhaps, the team can be more vigilant to ensure that waiting guests are promptly checked in once their room is ready. Throughout our stay at Alila Seminyak, we found our overall breakfast experience at Seasalt to be most pleasant. From the warm greetings we received at the front door, to all the service staff through the restaurant. Breakfast spread was sufficient & tasty, while selection from the ala carte menu was extensive. Special mention goes out to the head chef Hazwan (I hope I got his name right) & also Mandy who made their rounds to introduce themselves & to engage with the guests. Of course we were pleasantly surprised to learn that both Hazwan & Mandy were fellow Malaysians. Delighted were we to note that our fellow countrymen are doing such a fine job in ensuring the best dining experience for guests at Seasalt. Lastly, special mention also to Rina from Front Office who made her rounds to socialise with dining guests. Her friendly engagement & friendliness certainly elevated the warmth of service at Alila Seminyak. Overall, kudos to the whole Alila Seminyak for living up to their service standards & my 2nd stay at this property will definitely not be my last. We were sad to leave Alila Seminyak, of which we had continued with our Bali vacation at Mandapa Reserve & Alila Uluwatu. Our stay at Alila Uluwatu was rather disappointing but that would be a story for another day! Thanks Alila Seminyak for a wonderful stay & taking good care of us!

Absolute beachfront location, contemporary and calming aesthetic, and every luxury detail that you can think of. The staff were always helpful and friendly, offering outstanding customer service. Breakfast each morning was utterly delicious and the menu to order off was vast. Alila Spa provided complete relaxation, while the extra activities offered were a nice surprise - I loved the morning meditation! With the choice of four seperate pools, there’s always somewhere to lay by the water. I will be highly recommending Alila to family and friends, whilst also booking in another stay for myself!

From a smooth and welcoming check-in to an effortless check-out, every aspect of the experience exceeded expectations and is one I would gladly recommend to others. The buffet was excellent, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff were remarkably courteous and attentive throughout our visit. I am already looking forward to the opportunity to stay at this hotel again.
- Kevtime24 (10/5): Lovely Beach Front Resort - Giving this 5 stars but it was not a completely stress free holiday to start with. The team at the hotel are all very polite, friendly, helpful and always smiley which is worth the 5 stars. We booked a Deluxe Suite for 5 nights and requested a quiet room. Check in was smooth and friendly. The room itself is nice and spacious. The outside balcony area is actually completely covered by glass so a little bit like a little green house. Room was on the top floor which we thought was great but the noise and vibration from the air conditioning units on the roof kept us awake on the first night. At the end of our first full day, we got back to our room at about 5:30pm, having left it in the morning, and the room had not been made. At the same time, housekeeping were at our door and they apologised for this and said that they had been very busy. We then waited outside for 10 or so minutes for the room to be cleaned. We were not very impressed and just thought that they were short on staff and had only just got round to us, so thought nothing more of it. It turns out that the hotel offer a turn down service and we think that they were there to turn down the room but realised that it had not been made. After a poor nights sleep we were wanted to take a nap before dinner but we were prevented from doing so by the music from Mrs Sippy’s beach club, as well as the air conditioning unit noise. The hotel asked if there were any issues, which was a lovely touch, and we told them of the noise. They were very apologetic and Alit took care of us and offered to move us to a room away from the beach club and air conditioning units. The thought of packing up and moving to a new room was not appealing but neither was a further 3 nights of bad sleep! To be honest, if they hadn’t asked, we probably would have stayed and just put up with it, then give a bad review. The new room was much better and housekeeping made up the rooms in the mornings, rather than late afternoons, which was great for us. All food and drink at the place was great. Staff very attentive. That includes the wide variety of food at breakfast, Lunch and dinner at Sea Salt restaurant and food and drink by the adult pool and beach bar. We spent most of our time at the adult pool which was lovely and we didn’t have any issues in getting loungers. If it is busy, the staff will clear towels away from empty beds, to stop people from reserving, which is great. Location was good too. The Spa is fantastic and we would definitely recommend a visit. More expensive than places outside the resort but definitely worth paying the extra, in my opinion.. All in all, a shaky start but turned out well. All of team are amazing and are what makes it a 5 star resort. The resort care about your stay which means a lot.

Namely, our room was adjacent to the next hotels bar, which played loud music until 8 pm, and our 3rd floor room sat below the air conditioning plant equipment. But, as soon as we reported our dissatisfaction, the management was quick to relocate us. All the team from House Keeping, Bar & Restaurant, Pool Staff, and Front Desk were all friendly, offering with a warm greeting. The SeaSalt and Spa are worthy on mention. Both are outstanding.

- Stephen (10/5): Best hotel we have stayed in - My husband and I stayed at Alila Seminyak for a week starting August 26th, and it was nothing short of pure bliss. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made us feel truly cared for. Special mention to Alit (Hotel Manager) and Geoffrey (Concierge)—their genuine kindness and daily check-ins made a lasting impression. While every staff member was exceptional, these two went truely above and beyond. Our room was hands-down the best we’ve ever stayed in (thanks to Alit). The breathtaking view overlooking the adults-only pool, offered complete serenity. It was the peaceful escape I needed after recently losing my beautiful Mum. For me the hotel became a sanctuary of tranquility and healing. I couldn’t have asked for better. It is literally steps away from Seminyak’s busy streets, shopping, cafes, and restaurants and yet you wouldn’t know it inside the grounds. The breakfasts and coffee were amazing with a wide range of à la carte options. The open-air reception, three stunning pools, and beach bar with live music created a perfect balance of relaxation and lively atmosphere. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a highlight—delicious food, amazing cocktails and the sunset at night was just beautiful. We met a couple who return every year, and they shared how the staff remember them and their daughter by name. That kind of personal touch speaks volumes. Alila Seminyak isn’t just a hotel—it’s a rare gem. We will be back!
- alexrmead (10/5): A perfect honeymoon spot on beach! - I went here on my honeymoon for a 5 night stay. Simply incredible experience that was only positive. There were literally no downsides. The staff was awesome. The location superb. The room quality and cleanliness was top shelf. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a Bali experience on the beach in a top end resort. Very good place and I plan to stay again on my next trip to Bali.

- T9181JGstaceyc (2/5): DISASTER CONTAMINATED FOOD - DISASTER - IN HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK AND NOT ALLOWED TO FLY FOR ANOTHER WEEK - DUE TO CONTAMINATED FOOD SERVED AT THIS HOTEL. As repeat guests we were excited to return to this establishment. After numerous requests directly the hotel failed to respond to us, so we booked via the Luxury Escapes platform (first and last time). Upon checking into the room assured, top floor and ocean suite of which we were paying over $750 AUS per night / it didn't happen. It took three room changes to finally get the room we paid / requested. The Hyatt has taken over, and no records of previous stays or monies spent - they have no idea of their customers requests. But it gets better! My husband and I didn't eat anywhere else. We only ate by the resort poolside, room service, and Salt within this complex. After three days my husband became unwell with gastro symptoms. I then started to feel unwell. Repeat visits to the toilet, not able to eat properly, and considerable nausea, my husband was able to get better, however I couldn't eat and the staff were constantly having ginger tea and toast etc served to me. We tried to reach out to the GM Christiane Ferger multiple times mid stay, however she was on holidays - no response. We had been to another resort prior, and perfectly healthy had no issues at all. We were meant to travel to Ubud after this stay for another 10 days - however thats when my health seriously deteriorated. Upon check in at the final leg of our stay, the day of leaving Alila, a doctor and nurse were called to our villa for in house care. After 3 hrs of non stop diarrhea, vomiting, and feeling extremely unwell, the doctor called the hospital for immediate transfer. The drips weren't working nor the multiple drugs they were infusing. I ended up at Kasih Ibu Hospital in Saba. I ended up being in this hospital for some 7 days. My husband was absolutely beside himself, and had to find alternate accomodation close to the hospital in Saba, at further expense to us. I lost 6 kilos in 2 days! After daily IV infusions and multiple anti biotics, I was released into local hotel care for another 7 days. I was not cleared to fly and the same doctor kept visitng me daily for in villa care and further treatments by nurses from this hospital. My blood pressure was an issue. I've never had blood pressure problems before, and a cardiologist called in for further assessment. They nearly re admitted me after 2 days - it was nothing short of horrifying, as you can imagine. I was stuck in a foreign country, had to google where I was, and not able to fly home. It was a disaster. Christiane only got back to us after we threatened legal action upon our return home to Australia. Of course they try and deny any liability - BUT WE DID NOT EAT NOR DRINK OUTSIDE OF THIS RESORT. We only had bottled water also, and extremely vigilant. No value or care to their patrons, not acceptable. They test you daily in hospital, bloods, stools, the works / extremely thorough. I had acute gastroenteritis due to parasite infections, fungus detected, dehydration, diarrhea, and hyponatrtemia. We have daily summaries / reports from the hospital, and chlamydia was also detected from poor food handling / services at this resort stated upon admission (from samples taken at first in villa treatment). The symptoms during our 7 stay at Alila, were caused by Alila. There are no excuses. This should never had happened to me, and we are still out some $3,500.00 from the last resort whom will not re imburse our stay, even though they knew I was admitted into hospital and didn't stay there. The insurance also is not prepared to cover this component - as they believe "your in front". We are not in front, and all out of care costs should be madatory / covered. It's a true disgrace all round. Alila finally re imbursed our stay costs from their stay - a bare minimum you would think - but we will NEVER return to Bali nor this resort ever again. I've also seen mutliple other consumer reports whereby other patrons have been extremely unwell whilst staying here. I have a snapshot of "some of the antibiotics" I had to have, prior / during each and every meal after the hospital stay. I couldn't eat properly, and scared to eat, however these drugs still had to be consumed X 3 times per day, morning / noon / night time and the syrup, to line / protect the gut. BE VERY CAREFUL STAYING HERE. THERE ARE MULTIPLE HEALTH REPORTS ASSOCIATED TO THIS HOTEL. EVEN IF PAID TO RETURN - I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE EVER AGAIN!

Every space, from the lobby to our ocean view suite and pool areas, was thoughtfully designed, and every staff member was kind and helpful. Small touches, like USB points in our room (along with excellent coffee pods) were much appreciated, as was the food, drinks and towel services by the pool. Highly recommend the Alila to anyone looking for a luxury experience and hope to return soon!

- Asin77 (6/5): Needs significant improvement - I have stayed in Bali over 20 times are different hotels across the island -- Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, St Regis, Oberoi, W Seminyak and the Alila - and surprisingly Alila was the worst of all of them. We booked three rooms - not even one of them were ready till 4pm even though the check-in time was 3pm. All the rooms were spread out and they could not adjust them to be nearby on asking (even though we booked the hotel 4 weeks before arrival). The quality of food - breakfast and lunch - was decent, not up to mark for Bali. They really need to improve their game.
- idil_2022 (10/5): Best! - We stayed at Alila Seminyak for four nights during the final part of our honeymoon. The only downside was that the check-in process took quite a while, and although they actually upgraded our room, the staff didn’t explain it clearly, so we initially thought we were being downgraded. Aside from that, we had an amazing time. Unfortunately, during the last two nights, my husband and I came down with Bali Belly and had to call a doctor. Rina, who was absolutely wonderful and provided outstanding customer support, took great care of us—visiting a couple of times to check in and ensure we were okay. They even extended our checkout time without us having to ask.

- juliehW960SR (10/5): An oasis of calm and luxury in Seminyak - An oasis of calm and luxury in the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with an air of calm, openness and luxury. Beautiful room with spacious bathroom (great lighting too) Room facilities included a Nespresso machine and a surprise iron and board in the wardrobe. The hotel has a selection of pools (family to the serene adults only with infinity pool overlooking the ocean) serviced by the pool hosts who always managed to sort us out with a lounger. However breakfast was the show stopper! An extensive menu of traditional breakfast dishes together with Balinese and Asian options. Together with the menu choices there was a an option to select from a buffet. The French toast was sublime. The staff are wonderful and did everything to make our stay perfect. And it was.
- aegooding (10/5): Don’t settle for 2nd best. - Almost certainly the best located resort in Seminyak, and I would imagine the best quality. Very classy, with a far less ‘intimidating’ looking clientele than most Seminyak hotels would have.
- tjakrama (10/5): A Magical Zen Stay by the Ocean - I recently stayed at Alila Seminyak after a great experience at Alila Kuala Lumpur, and although this visit was brief, it was short but seriously dreamy. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the staff throughout the resort were consistently warm, attentive, and professional. My room was beautifully designed with a stunning ocean view—visible even from the bathtub, which was a lovely and relaxing touch. The adult-only infinity pool on the upper floor was a peaceful escape, with sweeping sea views that added to the resort’s tranquil, almost therapeutic atmosphere. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a generous and well-curated selection—from hot dishes and fresh salads to artisan breads, juices, and healthy options. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and plentiful. Though my stay was short, it left a lasting impression. Alila Seminyak is ideal for anyone seeking a calm, stylish beachfront retreat with excellent service and serene vibes. I look forward to returning and would happily recommend it.

The hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a plenty of options and it was an enjoyable experience. We love our special time out at Alila. Special thanks to mas Prabu at Sea Salt, mba Suma at the Spa, Beach Bar team were also fabulous to accommodating us, also huge thanks to Mba Yani on reception. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely coma again.

- CarleighTravel (8/5): Great hotel but still needs work - Great stay but small changes could make it perfect. I would start by saying don’t stay in room categories below the ocean view. The deluxe are almost in a seperate resort and the garden view face Mrs Sippy which wasn’t a vibe. Rooms are nice but could use maintenance for the price and standard I expect from the Alila. Breakfast was great although slow service most mornings which was frustrating. Seasalt and beach bar will leave you hungry so personally apart from a burger by the pool I wouldn’t bother eating there, go to Mano beach house next door as the food there was amazing and a third of the price. Service overall was slow and for a hotel like this I shouldn’t have to call 4 plus times for our bags to be collected etc. Overall a great stay with some minor things needed to maintain the rooms and offer better service. We stay in a lot of 5 star resorts so can compare and this time it didn’t meet the level I was expecting.
