- sandy2101 (10/5): Family vacations - This hotel was so perfect for our family. I went with my husband and two kids (5 years old and 5 month old) and we all enjoyed our stay. My daughter had a blast meeting other kids, playing at the pool and at the ocean. The ocean is very safe for kids, shallow waters and no waves. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really good! We had the buffet breakfast and they have all sorts of fruits and fresh food to pick from. Lastly but very important, the friendliness of all the staff, specially the Jamaican staff was very appreciated. Of particular note Ricardo, of the valet staff and all the breakfast staff made for a most enjoyable stay.

She is one AMAZING Person. The service was 2nd to none and her personality was so refreshing. I travel 80% of the time for business and pleasure and honestly have never met one single waitress or server who made us as comfortable and welcome as Malia. To top it off Vivian came to our table at the end to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves and Again another amazing encounter. Maria and Vivian you made a romantic dinner with my beautiful wife more memorable than expected. You two are awesome and we hope to see both of you again.

She took the time to share valuable information about the hotel, personally walked us to our room to ensure everything was perfect, and even took pictures for us to capture such special moments. Her kindness and dedication truly went above and beyond, we were deeply impressed. The valet team, especially Ricardo and Javier, were outstanding. Their warm smiles, positive attitude, and professionalism made every interaction pleasant and seamless. During breakfast, Judith took excellent care of us with both professionalism and a friendly, welcoming approach that made our morning even more enjoyable. We would also like to recognize the gentleman at the pool bar who spoke Spanish (we regret not remembering his name). He provided amazing service and made our experience even more special. What stood out the most was that every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile and kindness, it truly makes a difference and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This was our first time visiting this wonderful place as we celebrated my husband’s birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. Absolutely no complaints- everything was just lovely and everyone was so friendly and eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Jaqueline and Jimmy started every morning perfectly with breakfast on the terrrace. Laura is a treasure in the spa and Farah kept our room spotless and coffee bar stocked. The only negative I can think of is that we saw little of the surrounding area because we never wanted to leave the resort. See you next year!

GianLuigi at the pool was exceptional—gracious, attentive, and effortlessly anticipatory in his service. Fritz at our cabana created a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, always warm and accommodating. In the dining room, Paul exemplified professionalism, with a polished presence and keen attention to detail that enhanced each meal. At the front desk, Jaoa was welcoming, composed, and highly capable—an excellent first impression for the property. These individuals reflect the level of hospitality one expects from a Bonvoy property of this tier. Regrettably, our experience was not consistent across all interactions. Our dealings with Yoly fell short of the otherwise elevated standard. Commitments that were communicated were not upheld, and the follow-through lacked the refinement and accountability expected at a property of this caliber. With additional training and alignment to brand standards, this aspect of the guest experience could be significantly improved. That said, the strength of the team overall, combined with the property’s natural beauty and atmosphere, continues to make Playa Largo a place we genuinely enjoy returning to. We look forward to future visits and to seeing the experience continue to evolve at the highest level.

One day the service was subpar and we had to go walk to the bar to order. We then realized how truly amazing CarolinaH had been the day before. This young lady should be acknowledged promoted compensated for her A+ plus attitude and service. When we return, we surely ask for her.

Yoly coordinated our stay for our large group (10 families) and went above and beyond to meet all their demands. She was fantastic! Frank at the pool was so welcoming and friendly. Thomas and Carolina were incredible servers who made our time at the cabana so special. The facilities here are always clean, well stocked and even with a sold out hotel we never felt rushed or like we had to wait long for anything. The sunset evenings with the music and the pineapples were something we will be missing until we get back!

The pool and beach are so incredible, the water so calm, the sunsets every single night, pictures don’t do them justice! 100/10
- 3triple9 (10/5): An absolutely wonderful family vacation spot. - We had a fantastic stay at Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection. The property itself is beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, and very well run. It feels like a true resort experience while still being manageable in size. It is large enough to explore and enjoy different spaces, but never so big that you feel lost. The standout feature of this resort is the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. People were constantly smiling and proactively asking how they could make our stay better, which made the whole experience feel special rather than transactional. Our seven year old absolutely loved fishing off the dock. There were fish everywhere. In a short time we caught Atlantic needlefish and a mangrove snapper, and the dock quickly became one of his favorite parts of the trip. We spent most of our time by the pool, which was excellent, and in the evenings the fire pit with complimentary s’mores was a highlight for our family. A few staff members deserve special recognition. Jacqueline in the Bonvoy elite breakfast area was exceptional. Every morning she greeted us warmly, checked in on how our stay was going, and made us feel truly welcome. Hector at the pool bar was fantastic, Erod was always smiling and helpful, and Matt at the upstairs bar was incredibly knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding area. There were a couple of small things that could be improved. The Peloton in the gym had broken handlebars, which was frustrating if you wanted to use it. The soap dispenser in the room was not great, and the pillows could definitely be better. Those are minor issues though. Overall this was an outstanding family vacation and a resort we would absolutely return to. We honestly are looking forward to it!

- blueberryblue (2/5): A 2-Star hotel experience for the price of 5 stars! - For the price that we paid per night ($1000 plus), we had high expectations and were sorely disappointed. Below are the pluses and minuses. 1. Check-in staff, half were friendly, the other half not. 2. Valet were fast and friendly 3. Room was ok, but not very clean - There were stains in corners and walls of room. Brown stains on the curtains. Ice Bucket was completely rusted, cracked and tile decor was broken off (See photo), Coffeemaker water container was cracked. It seems like cleaning staff never even looked at them let alone clean. If they can ignore such an obvious eyesore like the disgusting ice bucket, what else are they ignoring? 4. Cleaning staff are sullen and few and far in between, would not look you in the eye not to mention even greet you like they do at the other hotels. 5. Breakfast was decent but same for the 3 days were there and empanadas were so dried up, it felt like they had been continuously reheated from 2 days ago. The filling was completely shrunken and fell right out when we bit into it. 6. Breakfast staff - half were nice, but the other half were slow and sullen. Studiously avoiding your eyes like they know you were going to ask for something and they don't want to do it. It depends on your luck on who you get. The ambling gait at which they move makes it feel like they are on holiday instead of us. This is the first hotel where I feel like instead of understaffed, it is overstaffed at the breakfast place, but it's because they are so slow and sullen that they need double the workforce to do the job of half. 7. Pool was small but decent. 8. Hot Tub next to the pool was very dirty and sandy, it looked like no one ever cleans it. Three older ladies opposite us it stepped on some thin broken glass at the bottom of the hot tub. They showed it to one of the poolside staff there and he took it. But it took them about 20 mins before someone in charge came with another staff to clean the pool. They should have shut it down right away, imagine the dangers of someone stepping on it since you can't see the bottom with all the bubbles going on! 9. The elevator in Reef Tower where we stayed was extremely slow and not maintained. It groaned and creaked and made so many sounds it scared most of us staying there. It felt like the cables were going to snap any minute. We saw more than half the people staying there taking the stairs and one guy next to us also commented "That does not sound right!" . 10. The beach was nice and had stairs to get into ocean but deck chairs were very tight against each other, so did not feel as relaxing. 11. We prepaid the resort fee but was charged for it at checkout. The customer service lady whom we called was very nice and refunded the resort fee but it really should not have happened. Over all we were hoping for a romantic getaway and if it was just a $150 per night room, I would have no cause for complaint. But for that amount of money ($1000 plus per night), it was really unacceptable and brings the Autograph reputation down!

When we arrived, we realized the room also did not have a balcony. Unfortunately, my wife is claustrophobic, and we hadn’t anticipated how challenging that would be for her. To be clear, this was in no way the fault of the resort. Despite being fully booked, the manager worked what can only be described as a small miracle behind the scenes and was able to move us to a room with a balcony. We were incredibly grateful for the effort and care shown to us. Beyond that experience, every member of the staff has been consistently kind, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile. The level of hospitality here truly stands out. We’re very thankful for how we were treated and would absolutely recommend this resort.

Remembered our names every time he saw us and what car we drove. Was very personable and friendly. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

We loved the pool and pool staff- Ana was great!! , water sports availability, food at Marea (lamb and seafood were excellent), eventide ceremony and bell ringing, live music, and Kadesha was so hospitable, helpful, and knowledgeable at morning breakfast. We will be back!

Our server Jacqueline always greeted us with a large smile and was as sweet as sugar. She helped to make sure our experience was wonderful with outstanding service and attention.

Grounds, pool are all wonderful but the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Jacqueline in the breakfast bar area went above and beyond, even offering to make us eggs on a day when omelette went normally available. The executive chef, Kristin N, also came to us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Food was beyond excellent. Savory, fresh and delicious.
- pjwgordon (10/5): An overall gem! - What a beautiful property and experience! The accommodations are comfortable and immaculate and the amenities are top notch. I enjoy that it’s got all of the shine of an exclusive hotel, but none of the snootiness that often goes hand in hand with such a property. My favorite part of my stay was meeting Jacqueline at the breakfast buffet each morning. She’s so lovely and helpful and she remembered my name from the first time I told her. She’s a valuable asset at Playa Largo and the breakfast was fresh, well-presented, diverse and delicious! The general manager (Miki) is also amazing. He is friendly, helpful, and it’s obvious that he is well-respected by the teams. I will be back!

- Anjanette (5/5): Will not be returning. - pool Too many noisy children and each morning we were awakened by annoying holiday music that was blasted through outdoor speakers before 8am, even after I had politely asked the front desk to wait until later in the morning. Also you can tell that, perhaps a decade ago, it was a high-end resort, but now it is run-down and in need of investment in renovations.

- Kim (7/5): Great location but not great value for money - The location was excellent and Sol restaurant was very good. The first room offered was in a poor position and it was a disabled room. We didn’t realise there was a parking fee. The room was not serviced on one of the days during our stay. The position of the resort was good and the gardens were well maintained but in general the resort was a little tired. Also, the fridge in the room didn’t work. The management did try and rectify the problems.

He made our first night absolutely enjoyable and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time. Thank you - Tyler and team! Amenities, food, drinks, atmosphere, sunsets, everything was so great. Alexa was great when we were checking out! Allen was so kind and enjoyable as soon as we arrived and when we got bikes! Sugar was very kind. All staff were very impressive! Hope to be back soon when the water is warmer.
