- Denis (10/5): Immer wieder gerne - Das Staytion Urban City Hotel in Mannheim ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp für Reisende, die Wert auf ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis legen. Schon beim Betreten des Hotels spürt man die moderne und stilvolle Atmosphäre, die einen sofort willkommen heißt. Die Zimmer sind nicht nur sauber und komfortabel, sondern auch mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal, das stets bemüht ist, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die zentrale Lage des Hotels ermöglicht es, die Stadt Mannheim bequem zu Fuß zu erkunden, was besonders für Geschäftsreisende und Touristen gleichermaßen attraktiv ist. - Mariam (10/5): - Sehr praktikables Zimmer für eine Person. Das Ein- und Auschecken ging sehr schnell. Das Personal war auch nett. Das einzige Manko sind die Lampen. Die hängen relativ weit unten, auf Augenhöhe (ca 165cm). Deshalb fand ich die Lichtverhältnisse etwas unangenehm aber ansonsten gibt es nichts zu beanstanden.

- Michael (10/5): - The Station is a mere 3-4 minute walk from the Mannheim Hauptbahnhof, so it is conveniently. I opted for a slightly bigger room this time and was not disappointed as it had the "Hairspray" theme (yes, the John Waters movie). Since I was on the back, it was super-quiet and rather spacious. My only complaint was no fridge, but then again, Mannheim was so cold that the water and wine bottles on the window ledge stayed perfectly cold. Nice wine bar and good selection of local wines. I will definitely stay there again.

- Michael (10/5): - The Station is just a few hundred meters from the Mannheim Hbf yet is located on a side street and thus the location is nice and quiet. Rooms are small, quirkily decorated, but (importantly!) quite comfy. Include the breakfast in your reservation as it is VERY filling. I did not need to eat lunch! I will DEFINITELY stay there again if I am in Mannheim.

The location is convenient, interior design intriguing and soap they use was nice but it fails at the basics. Never again.

- Roland (8/5): Kurzer zwischen stop - Das Prsonal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber zum Glück weg von der Strasse, denn gegenüber hat es eine grössere Baustelle. Das parken ist nicht das ware, am besten das Auto gleich ins Parkhaus stellen und ca. 2 min. zurück laufen. Wer mit dem Zug anreist muss nur quer über die Strasse gehen und schon ist er im Hotel.

Pas de réception après une certaine heure, et petit déjeuner dans l'établissement d'à côté, ça ternit un peu la prestation.

And if you wanted light in the room in the morning you had to open the black out curtains inviting the whole neighborhood to look into your room. No A/C either and too loud outside to leave the windows open during the night.

- Laura (8/5): - Das Hotel sieht super aus und auch die Zimmer waren ordentlich sauber. Es steckt ein cooles Konzept dahinter. Das Hotel war zentral gelegen, gleich um die Ecke des Bahnhofs und auch zum wundervollen Rosengarten sind es nur paar Gehminuten. Frühstück hatten wir nicht dazu gebucht, denn mit 19€ p.P. finde ich das schon teuer. Jetzt zu meinem Negativ-Punkt: Es war wirklich alles Top und das Hotel kann nur indirekt was dafür, aber es war während unseres Aufenthaltes extrem heiß in Mannheim und unser Zimmer, der Kategorie M, besitzt keine Klimaanlage. Wir hatten über Nacht mit offenem Fenster geschlafen, weil es sonst extrem stickig geworden wäre. Aufgrund dessen, sind wir in der Nacht auch öfter aufgewacht, weil in der Straße einige LKWs vorbei brettern. Das war einfach Laut. Ansonsten würde ich das Hotel wieder besuchen und auch weiterempfehlen, diesmal aber in der höheren Zimmerkategorie.
- Marco (10/5): Kurze Ausszeit - Auf einer Geschäftreise musste ich in Bahnhofsnähe übernachneten, um schnell weiterreisen zu können. Hier fand ich ein sehr schönes, bequemes Hotel, dass mich seinem besonderen Flair überraschte. Das Frühstück ist zwar im Nachbarhotel 50 m die Strasse runter, dafür aber sehr reichhaltig und gut.

After 14 days on the road in different continents, I found this hotel to bring me the most peace of many I have been in. Loved it!! New, very clean, quiet. Location is excellent if you like proximity to train station. A lovely Italian reataurant right next door. Personally, would stongly recommend.

The most you can usually hope for in a hotel near a city's train station is that it's clean but from the moment we arrived at Staytion and were greeted by the very friendly hotel staff to the time we left, we were amazed at the quality of the hotel/room for the price we paid. Very cool theme with music throughout the hotel and the rooms. The room wasn't very big but the bedding was great, it had everything we needed, and the bathroom was roomy and updated. The area by the hotel isn't the greatest of course - there was a building being torn down across the street from Staytion but that didn't make any difference to the quality of our stay there. After dinner we stopped at the hotel bar/lounge to ask for some water to take upstairs and had the best customer service from the hotel staff member/bartender. She and my husband talked about beer (they had a great selection) and we ended up with a tray of beer, hot tea, water AND ice to take to our room. She offered to carry it up for us even. We really enjoyed our stay at this GREAT hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again and to highly recommend it to anyone needing a hotel close to Mannheim's train station. I just hope they can keep up the quality and the affordability - they have an absolute winner here.
