Summer (10/5): Excellent stay - Best breakfast I have probably ever have had at a hotel. The staff also made it so fun for our 4 year old daughter! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable
Deborah (10/5): When I come that way again I would love to stay here. - The scrambled eggs with cheese in the center was very satisfying along with sausage. All that was offered was adequate to give you a good start for the day. I’m easy to please, but everything was great, no complaints to share.

Tammy (2/5): Aweful - Location Room was stuffy and wall unit was blowing out dust particles that triggered my asthma and allergies. Very old scratches all over fridge with paint peeling off. Ceiling looked like it had leaked before. Outside window was very dirty and moisture in between glass pains. Musty smell
Kathleen (8/5): Nice stay and good work. - This is a nice property. It is a little older, but it’s not really that old. The rooms are quiet and I enjoyed that my king room had a really nice chair and good artwork in it. It was calming and it was a great shower with lots of water pressure. The breakfast has a bunch of options and you can get almost anything you would want for breakfast there. I liked the pool and the spa however, the spa needs some work. There are some of the chats that are not working. I can tell when someone painted the ceiling that they didn’t tape off the ceiling in the hallway so there is overspray on some of the paint. The remote for the TV is in the window because they charge it with the sun. A note for this would have been good.

Hotel staff very nice and helpful and the main lobby looked nice. Rooms were ok and i really heave no complaints, it just felt dingy. We booked the night before our stay and got a room we wanted, easy acess and easy to find. Plenty of restaurants around so that was nice

Anthony (6/5): Not Brutal.. but Not Worth It - Breakfast looks OK.. the Jacuzzi room(s) aren't great. Whole room was really damp -- Door wasn't even closed upon our arrival & the fan was running on high so maybe it was left wet or something. Overall, it wasn't clean.. had to wipe down our own fridge.. counter/desktops.. You get what you pay for in the end -- It's prob worth it to spend 10-20 more to be elsewhere bc i cant see it getting better here. Especially as I booked their most expensive 'top-end' suite on this stay~

The rooms are very spacious very clean and you have a wide selection of TV channels to watch when you are in your amazing hotel room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would like to acknowledge Colleen, She works up at the front desk area. I had to change my flight while I was visiting Minnesota for a personal emergency in California. I didn’t have to change my hotel reservations, but I had to change my flight and not visit other family members in Minnesota while I was doing that I had a hard time printing on the hotel computer and Colleen was very helpful. She could see by the look on my face and the tears on my eyes that something was going on, so I decided to share with her about My Husband being ill and having to go to the emergency room and that I was going to be flying back sooner and not going onto my other destinations. Colleen just listened so intently. It was like having a true friend there that I could share my heavy burden with and I Just so appreciate that. When you are more than 2000 miles from home, it was like having a good friend at the hotel that I could share my burden with and she listened and even when I was leaving, she told me that she would keep me in her thoughts and prayers you don’t find that every day! The other staff was just as friendly too, and Stacey who clean my room. Every day was a very sweet gal too. Honestly, I will always stay

Jennifer (8/5): Last two stays here were better, but this was still a good stay. - Third time staying here. Great location and the staff are always very nice and helpful! The bed was pretty firm and kinda lumpy so I found it uncomfortable. There was grease dripping all over the south door when I first arrived and it got all over me. I called the front desk and they took care of the issue right away though! The room was clean, but it’s old and dated so it looks dingy. The windows were awful. Couldn’t see out the middle pane at all it was so dirty/filmy on the outside. Had better stays in the regular rooms. This was the King Suite so I expected a lot better.

The staff was very friendly and we really thought the breakfast couldn't be better. It was a very good experience and left feeling like we were so glad that we stayed there instead of someplace else.

Staff very helpful, breaksast looked very good and they had a kind lady offering to make waffles, etc. very nice lobby. Unfortunately the bed linens were terrible. Very thin, possibly even microfiber, definitely not hotel quality. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable with slight odor. Room had faint smoky odor. This would be 5 star review if not for those crappy linens.

It's a beautiful cabin-like atmosphere with a stone fireplace, but the "living room" has these weird art deco pictures of former presidents like Washington. Like they're bright colors, have blocks of colors over their faces and bodies. It's weird. There should be pictures of fishermen and women, Indigenous people, forests, lakes, etc.

Jennifer (9/5): It was good. I would stay there again. - Comfortable bed. Nice clean room. The TV has a set volume control so you can’t turn it up. The heater/AC is SO loud that you can’t hear the tv unless you turn it off, so I basically just didn’t watch any tv. There is NO elevator.

ajsjewels715 (10/5): Our favorite hotel - The staff here is courteous, attentive, and respectful! The hotel is clean and well taken care of! An all around great atmosphere . And to top it off the breakfasts are amazing!!!! We will definitely continue to come back.

wendy367 (4/5): Probably best to avoid the AmericInn... - We visit Thief River several times a year & stay at the AmericInn during many of those visits. Previously, we've been happy with the accomodations, but recently, the quality has declined. During our last visit, the ice machine & the vending machines were broken (although we could get ice from the front desk if there was any left). The pool area is almost always out of towels, the mechanical room was taped closed with duct tape & the water level in the pool was so high that it flooded the entire pool sitting area (more than 1 staff member walked through & didn't say or do anything). The work out room is a joke - the equipment is old, barely works & the room is full of empty water jugs. We'll be staying at one of the other hotels during our next visits.

Richard (3/5): It was OK, we were only there to sleep.we just came up for a funeral. - The person who checked us in looked like a meth-head transgender. The windows in our room were steamed up in between the glass and no way the fix the problem. Location was fine tho, the facility was getting on the old side. On Booking. Com this was the only one that showed up.it was OK,

Darcy (8/5): - The good: Comfortable bed, clean room with good water pressure and temp. The not so good: 30 minute wait to check in without acknowledgement while the single desk person was joking and flirting with one customer needing a reservation; both keys did not work on Day 2 resulting in having to carry everything back down the stairs (no elevator) to get a new key; and despite two conversations at the desk and the promise of leaving notes for the staff on the next day, a ‘mistake’ was made with my back-to-back reservations resulting in someone else being checked in and given access to my unserviced room and belongings while I wasn’t there. I only found out while chatting with the people given access who asked if ### was my room. I was never contacted by the manager about these issues as requested.
PAMELA (6/5): - Did not get the room we paid for. They kept saying the reservation was changed and it was not. Bed was worn out. Hot tub was not very hot. Breakfast was very limited.
