It's location is picture perfect: At the quiet edge of picturesque Ollantaytambo, where from the roof terrace (and breakfast place) all main impressive Inca structures are visible, and the start of the (free) climb to a big part of those structures starts literally at the front door (and that was the view from our room). Liz and the others working there are super friendly and helpful - and Liz also helped a lot answering upfront questions about transport and whatever came up. Breakfast was great! The room was super clean and comfortable. When we had to leave very early in the morning, we got a very good packed breakfast. Nothing but compliments and worth every dollar! We would come back in a heartbeat (in fact, we believe that a visit to Machu Picchu should be combined with at least a stay in Ollantaytambo - and now you know the perfect place ...).

Der kleine Ort ist absolut sicher. - Ollantaytambo ist einen Besuch wert und das Kamma Guest House liegt sehr vorteilhaft unweit vom Stadtzentrum und etwas abseits der befahrenen Durchgangsstraße. Somit ist es nachts wunderbar ruhig. Restaurants und beachtliche Sehenswürdigkeiten sind allesamt fussläufig easy zu erreichen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr zuvorkommend. Es war alles perfekt.

A proprietária é muito simpática e nos ajudou com dicas e guardando nossas malas após o check out e antes do check in para podermos aproveitar a cidade. Recomendo muito a hospedagem. Nada.
• Josie (9/5): Prima hotel - Prima hotel. Mooi uitzicht vanaf de ontbijtruimte. Goed verzorgd ontbijt. Matras en douche prima. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Centraal gelegen. Zou het zo weer boeken. Enig minpuntje is dat de taxi niet tot aan de deur kan komen en de weg bestaat uit keien waardoor een koffer niet goed rolt. Maar goed een koffer is ook een keuze dus dan maar een stukje tillen.

• Oana (10/5): Peaceful stay with breathtaking views and exceptional hospitality - We had such a wonderful stay at Kamma House in Ollantaytambo. Liz was incredibly sweet, helpful, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. She gave us amazing recommendations for things to do and some fantastic restaurants that made our trip even more special. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety. The terrace has the most breathtaking views of the ruins, truly one of the highlights of the stay. The second set of ruins is literally right across from the hotel entrance which made exploring so easy. The location is unbeatable. It’s tucked away on a quiet street, and falling asleep to the sound of the famous Ollantaytambo water canals felt so peaceful and magical. We would absolutely stay here again.

• Coulson (9/5): Adorable and affordable - with a view! - This was a very charming and welcoming hotel in Ollantaytambo! The room and bathroom were nothing super fancy, but we didn't need them to be as we were only staying one night. The free breakfast was on a very adorable rooftop balcony. Our room had a very lovely view out the window + small balcony. We kept the doors open most of the time since we were on the 2nd floor - it allowed a nice breeze and views. Unfortunately, I got sick overnight while in Ollayntaytambo. It was very unpleasant, but the woman running the hotel was so helpful and kind. My non-Spanish speaking husband had to go out to find me water and gatorade, and she offered him recommendations on where he could get medicine and the doctor/medical clinic in town. She didn't charge us extra when we had to check out a little late due to me being sick and she asked several times how I was feeling. She also kept our luggage until our train arrived (for a small fee). My husband appreciated that there was a TV he could cast to from his phone - it had been a while since we was able to watch baseball at that point in our trip! Nothing - just be prepared for a bit of a hike up to the hotel, which was tough on our first day in high altitude. Since I was sick the second day, we paid one of the mototaxi drivers s/20 to carry our luggage down from the hotel to his vehicle (the s/20 includes the luggage carrying and the ride to the train station). A worthwhile investment.

Os quartos são acolhedores e aconchegantes, e Liz e Paola foram muito atenciosas e receptivas. Nós erámos um grupo de 8 pessoas, ocupando 4 dos 5 quartos do hotel, e elas foram atenciosas em todos os detalhes, inclusive ao rearranjar as mesas do café da manhã para que o nosso grupo estivesse junto. A localização é ótima, apenas 5 minutos caminhando da praça central, em uma região silenciosa e tranquila. O café da manhã também foi delicioso! Com certeza nos hospedariamos aqui novamente.

• Cheryl (10/5): Simply perfect! - You cannot beat this location! It’s right by the entrance to Pinkuylluna. We were greeted by a pleasant lady (I’m spacing on her name) and she was so welcoming and informative. She and her co-worker cooked us breakfast every morning and it was a great start to our day. The room was cozy with great views. It was a perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. We loved everything about it!

• Marta (10/5): If you’re in Ollantaytambo, stay at the Kamma guest house! - The Kamma Guest House was fabulous. I have never had a more accommodating and helpful staff. They arranged our taxi to and from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and back, helped us with our bags from the main street, directed us to local eateries and attractions, and fed us a wonderful breakfast! The room Was small, but comfortable. It was very quiet and comfortable. It was all greet!

Need to carry luggage last 100m because there is no car access, but staff help with that if you need. Liz, the host, is just a beautiful person, had great suggestions (sights to see, places to eat etc) and the breakfast room (3rd floor with a view of the ruins over the rooftops) is perfect. The breakfast was lovely and cooked to order as you enjoyed the scenery. Would go back there in a heart beat. Nothing. For the old and frail, the cobblestone lane to get there may be an issue, but it’s only 100m.

• Mica (10/5): Amazing! If you're visiting Machu Picchu stay in Ollantaytambo and stay at Kamma - We loved our stay at Kamma guest house! The staff were so helpful and even assisted organising our transfers. The breakfast itself was amazing and the view from the terrace was even better. The location of Kamma was right in the centre of Ollantaytambo with easy access to everything including the train to Machu Picchum

Breakfast was great-they even packed us a to go breakfast with a water when we had to leave early for MP. Turned room over with fresh towels without us asking. Only 2 negatives. One: lack of purified water in the Lobby or in our rooms. Now you can purchase water from hotel but providing customers with just one small bottle when they arrive would be a nice touch. Second: a small shelf on the wall in the bathroom to place toiletries would also be nice. We had to put ours on the small toilet tank which is kind of unsanitary.

• Madeline (10/5): Enjoyed our stay here in this charming town - This was a gem of a hotel! The location was incredible, and the view of the ruins from the room was great. The overall room was on the smaller side, but the two of us could navigate it just fine. For the price, location, and the kind staff, it was worth it. Wish there was a bug screen, net, or something to help keep out the bugs at night, so we could hear the river and keep the balcony door cracked for fresh air. This is definitely a nice-to-have and not a ding on the hotel at all.

Indico fortemente passar uma noite em Ollantaytambo, umas das melhores escolhas desta viagem. Nada.

We stayed on the first floor, and at night, sometimes loud people could be heard over the sound of the water.. luckily I brought ear plugs.

The staff are so accommodating and super helpful - allowing me to store my cases the day before and calling me a taxi. Breakfast is also great! Nothing.

The room was cozy, the running water outside is like being at home in the rain (nice and cozy), the staff were so helpful and exceptional. A stand out was the morning we were going to Machu Picchu, we left our luggage and had a 6am train ride so we had to leave early and they kindly prepared and packed us breakfast to go at the reception. Nice and quiet in the room, close to the plaza and restaurants, yet distant enough to be nice and quiet for good rest. I liked everything about the property.

Leguizamon (10/5): - Ollantaytambo es un lugar de ensueño, solo se escucha el canto del agua al bajar por las acequias, nuestra habitación daba a la calle y el murmullo del agua fue maravilloso. Y el otro ventanal daba a un pasillo con vistas a la fortaleza de Ollantaytambo. A ésta maravilla hay que dedicarle al menos dos días enteros. Imposible encontrar algo negativo, si quieren viajar en el tiempo pasado, es el lugar.
