Trek586389 (10/5): Great hotel, wonderful staff. We loved the cooking class - The hotel was very comfortable and very clean. The staff are the best part of the hotel. Everyone is so friendly, so helpful and so warm and caring. We did a cooking class at the hotel with the head chef Asana and from the restaurant, Widi. This was a fantastic thing to do. It’s loads of fun, very informative and after, you get to eat the 3 course meal you cooked. We highly recommend the Mayura Ubud Retreat and the cooking class.

Suyene (7/5): Rooms were great and reasonably priced - The rooms were great and the property was very reasonably priced The restaurants food was not great and expensive for what was provided. As the property was isloated we would have been happy to eat at their restaurant if what was on offer was better, but chose to go into town instead. Shuttle was not a good service, spa looked uninviting and yoga classes very expensive and never saw them running.

Ambiente tranquilo y agradable: Se encuentra en una zona alejada de Ubud pero para nosotros era una ventaja. El desayuno a la carta muy bueno y tienen restaurante de buena calidad. El personal es amable y nos ayudó con un problema personal que tuvimos. Tienen servicio de spa y de excursiones de pago. el olor a humedad en la zona del spa quizás porque el hotel se encuentra cerca de una arroyo.

We got to choose the dishes and discover all the fresh ingredients, and we can even keep the recipes to cook them again at home. It was a wonderful moment with truly delicious food. Sonia (10/5): Family with teens loved our stay - We stayed for two nights and wish we had a couple of more days to stay. This hotel is so far from all the noise and chaos and surrounded by beauty. The free breakfasts are delicious and the cute little restaurant makes wonderful food. If you have time you can book cooking class, rooftop yoga, massages and woodworking workshop at great prices. Wonderful service. We all enjoyed our stay

The property looks way better on the pictures than in reality. I also wouldn’t call it a „retreat“ since it’s just a normal hotel that offers morning yoga and massages. The room and especially the bathroom had seen better days.

648judier (10/5): Mayura - The rooms were lovely, the food nice ,not exceptional but the best thing were the staff , they couldn’t do enough for you , when our bathroom flooded they got straight on it ,the masseur was wonderful and ‘Gede ‘our driver who took us on excursions from the hotel was a wonderful young man who took exceptional care of us , and was a pleasure to spend time with , he is a credit to the hotel and his country x a pleasant stay

The place is super comfortable, and the views are just as beautiful as the reviews say—so peaceful and surrounded by nature. What made my stay even better were all the free benefits they offer, which is amazing considering how affordable the price is. I got to join a Balinese dance class, learn how to make Canang Sari, and even use their free shuttle to Coco Mart Ubud, which was really convenient. These little extras made my trip to Bali even more special. Definitely a great place to stay!

Vårt rum var 5 steg från poolen, allt inom räckhåll. Underbart! Fint rymligt rum, allt fräscht och bekvämt. Det enda som kunde förbättras var vissa rätter i restaurangen, samt vinet. Annars jättebra!

Marlini (10/5): A peaceful and serene oasis - Mayura is located away from the central Ubud area but still within walking distance to cafes, restaurants and a great laundromat! The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating, helpful and welcoming - every day! Room amenities were adequately provided and the pillows were excellent! Overall a really lovely hotel which I would recommend to friends and family.
Johanna (9/5): Wholesome quiet weekend with good food. - Beautiful property. We had a room on ground level which had a nice little patio to sit on in the evenings. We also enjoyed the restaurant area and pool. We stayed for only a few days upon arriving in Bali but we enjoyed our stay very much. If we were to travel back to Ubud this would definitely be where we would stay, it’s a nice contrast to busy central Ubud as this is located further out in a relatively quiet area. The restaurant had a really good nasi goreng which we enjoyed on several occasions along with springs rolls. The staff was fantastic all along and despite the short stay we had a great time!

The facility is clean and comfortable. the tures provided were in good rates and the drivers were very helpful much better than tour guides The breakfast was a menu type, i prefer the buffet type breakfast but that is my personal preference. Restaurant is quite good and reasonable, theme nights and entertainment free. Breakfast is good, pool is lovely, your guides and taxis easily arranged. Hired a guide for 8 hours, cost about £30 for the day, lovely man, helpful and informative, covered 5 excursions in one day. Beautiful place for a retreat, lovely sound of running water from river below.

The hotel was 10-15min walk from the main roads. Forex and any marts were 15mins+ walking. It was too dark to venture out at night. There was a laundry adjacent to hotel 1 star less for that.

However this did not spoil our overall experience. Food, floating breakfast all very good. Staff are very attentive and we met the owner who was very warm and friendly. Swimming pool is a gem. A taxi is needed to town but you can book on the hotel complimentary shuttle car.

Staff was exceptional - super friendly and polite and ready to answer all of our questions. Room was spacious and clean with a lovely view. Breakfast was delicious with a variety mix of local and western food. I highly recommend this hotel - great value for money! Juan (8/5): - We had a wonderful reception and the team there was always willing to help. Amazing service. Our room was wonderful with plenty of space. We enjoyed the breakfast overlooking the river below and loved the ability to choose some local dishes. We did feel that the hotel was a bit run down and the cost of the room was on the high side, however the food was very good and priced accordingly. The message at the spa however was not worth it sadly. Whilst we did receive a discount after voicing our disappointment this is definitely an area that does not live up to reputation. There is not a lot around the area, but the free shuttle to Ubud was a welcome addition.

Jennifer (10/5): Absolute tranquil luxury - perfection - This place is heaven - luxurious rooms, incredible breakfasts, adorable staff, great location away from the craziness of Ubud centre, divine massages, it was all just absolutely perfect! I could even step from my room to the pool. I was there for my 40th birthday and they brought me birthday cake for breakfast. I also loved the evenings of live music or traditional dance shows. A really perfect place. I was surprised that they didn't know the answers/information to some tourist transport related questions - such as how/where to rent a car, and how to book the boat to the Gili Islands. I ended up having to find out about and sort out these things myself. (By the way - I don't recommend renting a car in Bali, the traffic is insane. I regret getting a rental car!)

Pictures taken when the hotel first opened. but building is old.. very small.. no views from the room as descriped.. AC was leaking whole night.. not very comfortable.. Poor poor food.. waited for 3hrs.. no taste.. I regreted that i booked this place...
Shrey (3/5): High expectations and high disappointment - Location, general layout of the place. It has a pool, spa and great staff Rooms were mouldy and smelly, especially the ones on ground floor. Hotel was built around 10-15yrs ago and has not been updated since then. Hotel lobby, lifts and room decor was very old.

Teresa (10/5): - We had a great vacation during our stay. The staff was nice and the food in the restaurant was good. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is green, so expect to refill your room water bottles and do not expect bright white towels, which was ok for us. They offered a complimentary daily drop off and pick up to downtown Ubud. As well as some tour options. We liked the hotel and will come back.

Kaes (10/5): - Staff incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast was very adequate with additional options that needed to be ordered at no cost. Main issue was location. It’s great if u plan to use as a place to rest and have booked tours etc…as it’s not walkable to anything useful. That was not an issue for us. Ubud traffic is horrendous so getting to this place from the city centre can be a challenge.

L (8/5): A great choice for Ubud stay highly recommend - Located 10 mins drive from busy centre of ubud, lovely nature setting and views. Sounds of chickens, Clean but small swimming pool, breakfast basic but good enough, comfy bed, nice balcony furniture. Nice rooftop balcony. A little small and a little isolated not any shops in walking distance but it is still beautiful. For the price breakfast could be better.

Raphael (9/5): Relaxing hotel outside of Ubud - Staff is very attentive and polite. Pool is nice and relaxing. Suite was a large, comfortable room with nice pillows. Location is a bit far from town in a very quiet area. So while nice and relaxing, you have to depend on taxi or motorbike service to get to and from Ubud center.
