Guest Reviews
- Ani (1/5): -
- Weenusk (1/5): Very unsatisfied - Absolutely nothing I liked about my stay. Too much activity all day and night. There was everything I did not like. When I checked in I sensed I was not welcome. I was told I had Winnipeg address which was not true my identification clearly says I am from north and just came to party. I told them I don't drink, smoke or don't do drugs. I was overcharged but I needed a place to stay. There were people fighting in the hallways and in the rooms. I had my door kicked a few times. I reported to the front desk but nobody even came to check on me. I had sleepless nights. Even when I walk in the hallways it had unpleasant odor. The room floor rug I stayed in smelled like it has been urinated. I could go on but I will stop here.
- Eileen (4/5): -
- Hossein (3/5): - Nothing
- Munroe (1/5): - Nice spot. Friendly staff. Loud drunks in the other rooms and walking the hallways. All hours of the night.
- Amandeep (1/5): -
- Lagimodiere (2/5): - The bar next door. Drug addicts roaming the halls using drugs in the halls. It was dirty it stunk. Wouldn't recommend.
- Riley (1/5): didn't stay left after prices gouged - nothing you guys advertise 129 and when you show the front counter said 350
- Marina (3/5): You get what you pay for. It's a warm room, but people are awake at all hours of the night nearby. - price, proximity to airport. location of room was right across from the door to level 2. It was being opened and closed loudly all night between 2-7am. People partying outside, leaking tub tap.
- Steven (1/5): -
- Carlos (1/5): Horrible didn’t sleep all night - Nothing and didn’t have breakfast. Staff were ok Room was dirty and smelled awful, toilet was disgusting unbearable sewage kept backing up before we got to use it, very small room with several doors we could here people talking loud radio, slamming doors, needles to say the worse I’ve ever experienced it doesn’t qualify as a hotel I’ve been in much better motels. Sorry but in my opinion this so called “hotel” should be torn down and replaced with a new one.
- Gerd (7/5): -
- Ross (1/5): Cookt - Nothing Everything
- Greg (10/5): -
- Gerry (6/5): Clean up the drinks - Location Drunks walking the hallway that don’t stay there. People asking for money that don’t stay there standing in the inside of the entrance. People drunk laying in the hallways and staircase
- Kanwal (1/5): We had to stay over night and It is really bad motel with shady people hanging around and watching us and knocking at ou - Nothing at it. It is really bad motel with shady people hanging around and watching us and knocking at our door at 3 am .
- Glenn (1/5): -
- Sarabjit (9/5): -
- Knight (7/5): -
- Karen (9/5): It was a very comfortable stay. - It had good parking and was easy to find. It wasn’t close to any amenities.
- Karen (9/5): It was comfortable. - It was easy to get in and out.
- Sherri-lyn (1/5): Bad - The beds were ok. The room was dark and smelled. They did not change the sheets daily. The bedding was old and ratty. There was constant shouting and fighting outside our window and in the hallway outside our door, all night. Our key cards kept failing. We asked for a late check out and we're told it would be 80.00 to enjoy all of the smell and ambiance even further. Coming and going, we were asked for cigarettes, drugs, lighters, phone chargers. Someone called our room and asked for drugs.
- Graham (4/5): The place was smelly, dingy and dark. I am still waiting for my refund! - Nothing Everything
- Ritchie (8/5): - Kind employee
- Jacob (1/5): Sleep in your car or pay for a hotel, that was the worst motel I have ever seen and I have seen alot - I had a bed to sleep on The bed was dirty. Actually the whole room was absolutely disgusting. Smell was horrible. The beds are small and not comfortable. Mysterious stains all over. Noisy neighbours all night. Junkies all over. Coming out of the room in the morning and the whole corridor smelled like cigarettes. I thought I might come back to a broken car window.
- Kevin (6/5): - Hotel is in pretty rough shape. But the front desk person got me a quiet room at the end of the hall. I had a great sleep. That's all i needed, thanks!
- Florene (10/5): - Quiet
- Shields (7/5): Good - Location Alot of sketchy people around.
- Lawrence (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (2/5): - I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more run down hotel in my life. Cigarette burns on the side of the tub. Holes in the comforter. Stains all over the mattress when we lifted the sheets up. We spent 3 minutes in our room and than left.
- Alicja (8/5): - Fun time with the pool, water slide and hot tub for a family! Food at the restaurant was good and all the staff were helpful and friendly.
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Veronica (4/5): - Had blood on my bed sheets
- Victoria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Steven (1/5): Bad - Disgusting mess Terrible smell
- shirley (6/5): - We chose this motel because of its closeness our intended location visit. It appeared to be ok by description in write up.
At check in the clerk gave us a warning that the clientel was fire evacuees, and we may well feel uncomfortable. We weighed our options and decided since it was only one night we would stay.
The entry to the motel rooms was double entry fobbing, so when you went through the first door you had another to key through.
The room was very basic, but showed its age. The bed very comfortable, and despite everything it was extremely quiet. There were no problems with the evacuees, In fact they were very polite. I can't imagine having been displaced and long stay in motel.
There was a pool, and a restaurant which we understand served very good meals. We did not try it because of the nature of our visit to rural Manitoba outside Winnipeg.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Isobel (2/5): - Carpets wet mole smell and no towels big enough to bath with bed are the worst i ever slept on for 154. Not worth 5 dollars cops called it is a one star garbage motel tv didnt work do you want more not happy at all
- Shaw (7/5): Good -
- Bogzoiu (2/5): Very poor -
- Vicki (2/5): - This property is terrifying- they have you sign a paper that you won’t smoke- but the whole building stinks of weed!! It is disgusting. There ar people drunk all over. They say they have quiet hours but music is blasting and the entire hotel occupants are partying all night- yelling screaming and nobody does a thing. I was very afraid- wish I never booked this room- Expedia should not advertise this property. And especially not family friendly!!! 😡
- Norm (4/5): - unsafe area, very noisy - beds were uncomfortable
- Thomas (8/5): - Good basic accommodation. Ok for a quick overnight stay.
- Patel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Heather (2/5): - Nothing when booking through Expedia stated the property required a deposit, let alone a $500 deposit for locals (overnight staycation). Otherwise it's a $250 deposit. There are higher rated hotels with bigger and nicer rooms that charge less for a deposit.
- Jay (4/5): Disappointing - Just only locations
- Phearakmuny chheang (10/5): - Good and quiet
- Brenda (2/5): - Did not feel one bit safe. Noise running around in hall all night
- Doherty (7/5): Fast - Location Dated
- chris (2/5): - I made arrangements in advance and said I would not be showing up until some time after midnight. As this airport is an airport hotel, I would expect them to be used to people coming in before early flights or layovers showing up at late hours. I exchanged multiple emails with the ?manager? and even offered to do an early checkin or something, in case they were short staffed in the wee hours of the morning. They told me they would have someone at reception and that it would be no big deal. I showed up at 1am, they told me I wasn't there by 12:30 so they rented my room to someone else, and they were fully booked. They referred me to a different hotel, which was fully booked, as was the third and fourth place I went. Pretty dissapointing after a 5 hour drive to get there. in the end, I selpt with my wife in the backseat of my vehicle in a walmart sketchy parking lot from 2:30am to 6am in roughly -20f weather. The guy at reception was nice, and said I could leave my vehicle there. But the policy and the situation was really not cool. The area definately gave off a rough vibe, but nothing happened to my vehicle there for 5 days.
- Christine (2/5): - Drunk and Noisy neighbours. And it’s cold innthe room.
- Brad (7/5): Room to improve. - I was at end of the hall. Bed matt needs to be replaced, springs are rough and poping. Shower head sprays water, needs repair. Halls need to be vaccumed.
Would have taken photos had I known this was an option to share.
- Devin (2/5): - Constantly noise in hall all night. Drug use on premises. Banging on our window at 1:30am
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dimple (6/5): Was excellent bedside losing my money - My money was stolen at restaurants by the waitress Like to get my money back
- Johane (8/5): - Feeling of dampness in hallway and room due to indoor pool. Lots of loitering
- Conrad (1/5): Bad - Horrible Smells like rotten beer
- Steven (2/5): - False reviews online. Felt threatened right after checking in and walked down the hallway. Room reaked of urine and beer yet told no other rooms available, but about an hour later they checked in a man who just waled in for one night when I asked for ice (machines broken). Excessive drinking and drug use including drug deals outside the hotel. All night yell or banging on doors and walls to no end, even after complaining. Stay away and don’t get fooled by the reviews.
- LaVerne (6/5): - It's a nice cheap place if you need a place to stay for the night some crazy people around though waters alittle rusty run it for a bit till it runs clear about right for the price of the motel other wise the motel is nice run by kind staff who honestly I believe deserve better they are so kind but the people they have to deal with are rude at times but if you need a cheap place to stay I highly recommend here beds are comfy wifi good definitely would go back again just for the hospitality
- Hall (2/5): Very poor - Close to airport for flight out in early morning. No hot water till in the morning. Granddaughters couldn't shower in evening after swimming in the pool. Loud screaming and banging noises in the night.
- Brenda (1/5): A horrible place to stay! - There wasn't any breakfast. The sink and toilet were clean. The walls were dirty. The light switches were dirty. The fridge didn't work. There was sticky stuff on one of the bedspreads that I cleaned off before my husband would sit on the bed. They used to much cleaning product on the floors, or not enough, so the floors were sticky. Our shoes left shoe marks on the floor. The room also had a dtrong bleach smell. No very pleasant! There was dicarded clothing in the stairwell and diapers outside. Not a good first impession.
- stephen (10/5): Nice older hotel - Good, older hotel. Room was clean, front desk and cleaning staff helpful, close to airport. Other guests were friendly and quiet.
- Maria Corazon (2/5): - Lots of trouble around the area
We experienced how we have been tried manipulated by one of the staff of airpot motor inn and that we felt so bad on it. I will never refer this hotel to others.
Thank you
- Peter (3/5): Poor - They sold my room to a different person 😕
- George (4/5): We cancelled the reservation and as such did not stay at the Airport Motor Inn. - Was able to cancel the reservation without any problems. There was a lot of displaced people at/near the location due to Wild Fires.
- Debbie (2/5): - Dirty room and loitering people outside
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (6/5): - Check-in process is reminescent of a shady operation
- Verified traveler (2/5): I made a mistake to select this hotel - Check-in process, not acceptable.
- Sasha (2/5): Scary - Not much Everything
- Onanatomeren (6/5): - Dirty/broken bathroom. Broken bed. The hotel is not safe for kids.
- Lauretta (2/5): - There was a drunk outside on sidewalk and one or two in lobby. The fact that the property had to have so many security guards on property at all times was unsettling
- Kenneth (2/5): Discusting - The room had a very foul odor, the cleanliness is something to be left desired. The amount off security around that place made me realize what a dive i put myself into.
- Ashley (8/5): - Lots of riff raff but securityguard presence gave me peace of mind
- Silva (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tiffany (1/5): Stay far from this place honestly hotel really run down - Literally everything, the deposit for $500 and the key cards not working , the loud really intoxicated people, definitely don’t bring kids. The room stunk so bad.
- Stephen (7/5): Good -
- donnafD6524MU (2/5): Terrible experience. - Awful. Noisy, full of people living there permanently who are ill mannered, loitering at all entrances, visibly using drugs, wanting to share cabs for free..... I would give this a zero rating
Looking back on reviews. There are horrible reviews & no change in behavior of guests, so it seems there's no intent on the part of management to change things. The lobby washrooms are locked & there is security everywhere. Doesn't appear safe . Wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wants to sleep before heading to the airport.
- Elena (2/5): - This was literally the worst experience I had in my life..
I wanted a place to sleep for a few hours as my flight was arriving late and I still needed to drive to my final destination.
When I arrived, there were scetchy-looking characters walking outside of the lobby and front desk staff was nowhere to be found, so I had to stand there waiting with the guys from the outside yelling in my direction.
After finally checking in, I went to find my room only to realize that I have to somehow bypass an arguing drunk or high couple, where the guy was also throwing up.
By the time I got to my room, walking by more interesting characters, I seriously considered driving across the street to Hilton. But I alreday paid and I was super-tired, as my flight was 2 hours late, so I decided to take a look at the room and see how bad it was, before making a final decision.
Minus a cloud of sigarette smoke from the corridor, the room looked ok, or at least it was clean. I figured, that as I was already inside, it's probably ok to stay. I just needed to sleep for a bit and would head out early morning.
Famous last words... After 6 hours of car alarms, yelling in the hallway, sounds of running water along with horrifying screams (is he drowning her?...) and many other sounds of extreme fun, I gave up and got on the road.
I was deadly tired, so after all, getting a hotel didn't make a difference, I could have driven home at night.
- Michael (1/5): Bad -
- Joshua (3/5): Poor - No credit card required at check in, potentially good amenities just poor upkeep. Very Dirty, everything you touch is sticky, pool was disgusting, hot tub even worse. Lots of late night disturbances, security everywhere.
- Gord (2/5): - The bathroom was dirty, The fridge did not work, the bed was old and the carpet smelled like piss
- Sheila (3/5): We would have enjoyed your facilities including the pool and breakfast, if we weren’t being approached by the party peop - Almost perfect! The smell of marijuana on 2nd floor.
People yelling and fighting in the hallway till 2 am.
Outside loiterers expecting us to let them in.
Loiterers begging for cigarettes.
- Cheryl (1/5): Bad - Nothing Drunks all hours of day and night. Building smelling like 24 /7. Vendor open 24/7. Garbage left in the hallway. No soap or shampoo to use. 1 set of towels for a couple to use. No coffee maker. The restaurant closed for the early morning riser. Rude staff . Not wanting to return photo ID like driver license. Room stunk of pot. No screen on window. Bed uncomfortable. Worst stay ever and would not recommend to stay.
- Nova (3/5): Scary and disappointing. - We thought it looked fine from the outside and was close to the airport. There were sketchy people laying in the hallways and a smell of drugs. Our family member found a drug needle in the room. It seemed like a hotel for social services based on the conversations we overheard. I’m not sure it’s appropriate to be on a website for the public. When we complained about the needle, the staff said manager would call. Manager never did despite follow up. We were charged full rate on booking.com which was more than we heard quoted to others at the hotel.
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Shumakov1 (1/5): Bad - a full hotel of drunken homeless people, the rooms stink of cigarettes and alcohol, torn bed linen. I gave up this hotel.
- Wycliff (2/5): - The whole night i could not sleep due to noisy occupants in other rooms
Security detail explains why the place is unsafe. At one point the police had to come in
- 548emerya (2/5): Needles found in the room- no contact from manager - This place is horrific. We came in middle of the night with our baby (we did not make this reservation). We checked the bed quickly and crashed. In the morning we found needles in our room. We immediately showed the security guard and spoke with front desk. We were told we would be contacted by the manager. It has been a month of us calling and we’ve been given the run around. The hotel has done nothing to make this right. This could have quite literally killed someone- not to mention our baby. Aside from this- The rooms were disgusting. It’s a party hotel with people up constantly yelling.
- Alan (10/5): - Sandy was great at reception. She accommodated my requests professionally. Food is good and affordable. The Bar space can lend to big groups; limited beer choices. It was tasty anyway. VLTs for those who partake. Security is present and approachable. Thanks for the bed and comforts. Cheers.
- Patricia (1/5): Convenient location, a place to shower. - Strong smell of cigarette smell, sticky flooring, the bed wasn’t clean, noisy and constant banging on the walls. The shower wasn’t that great either-water went from warm to cold and the stream lost its flow.
- Wesley (4/5): - Everything was good except for loud music an noise
- John (5/5): alright place - the stores were close vendor and beer store near
- William (8/5): - All good
- Adam (10/5): Nice - Free Wifi Nice Pool Maybe
- Douglas (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE. - The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Useless when you can't actually sleep. This was a nightmare. This hotel is being used as a residence for people displaced and are living there. The sign on a door read 'Red Cross - Supplies' clearly indicated that the people living there weren't just travelers. My next door resident, who had been living there for a year, I was told by the manager, had the radio blaring all day and until 2am Sunday morning despite my complaints to the office to the get the volume turned down at 11:30pm then 12:30am and then finally at 1:30am. I was there for work on the weekend and needed rest to work in the mornings and that was impossible. The multiple security guards in the building and driving around the exterior of the building while showing the need for maintaining control of the premises, didn't bode well for the prospect of a quiet, safe weekend and could not get the guy next door to turn off the music. There were screaming children in the halls at 11pm and inebriated patrons and non-residential people in the halls, with one woman sitting on the floor in front of someone's door, banging on the door to try and gain access, and then being escorted out of the premises by the security. It was like staying in a seedy bar rather than a hotel. There was no coffee maker in the room, no microwave, and no shelves in the bar fridge. Truly, this was the worst place for anyone wanting a decent place to stay.
- Sharon (4/5): - I was taken aback by the number of security guards in the lobby. I had to use my card to get out of the lobby and into the stairway and then onto the 2nd floor. However, security was not able to keep the people in the room below mine from partying loudly past 3 am. (I had started calling the front desk after 10 pm.) Finally the music was shut down, however the people were still talking and laughing loudly until after 7 am. I stayed at this hotel maybe 20 years ago and had no problems. Things sure have changed.
To top things off, the mattress was quite lumpy and springy. At least there were no bedbugs or cockroaches. Maybe it was too noisy for them lol
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Denys (1/5): Bad - Nothing All
- Robert (8/5): - The price
