Guest Reviews
- ross (8/5): Overnight stay in Aberfeldy - Central location off main street. Restricted hours for reception cover 4-7pm only.
- JeanWatson (6/5): - Handy location, with some off road parking. Cheaper than average. Useful.pitstop. No food available, no bar at present though I did see one . Noisy till after midnight. Heating on too high and a stuffy atmosphere, unsuitable for asthmatics. Window only just opened. Poor TV reception
- Marie (6/5): -
- Brian (6/5): Central and cosy - Central location, cosy and warm room and comfortable bed Carpet in room didn't look appealing and noise level wasn't good from the traffic
- Susan (9/5): - Friendly staff
- Annie (7/5): - Good location
Room was basically but clean & comfortable Attic room so sloping ceiling.
Hot water supply was a little limited.
Limited reception
- Colin (7/5): It was good value for what i needed - Location Shower head was too low

- David (10/5): -

- Tanera (5/5): Okay but I prefer B&B - Room was comfortable and clean with nice bed. Shower room was compact but functional and clean. It was easy to get in after reception hours. The kettle didn't work properly. Felt a bit like the staff were 'putting in the time' and I thought the price was high for room only with no breakfast option.
- Ky (1/5): - Location Could feel all the springs in the mattress, floorboards were really squeaky, room totally different than pictures. Worst room we have ever stopped in. Also really noisy has room was road side and still has the old sash windows.

- 278ab50044ec735636b211afba60a13d (4/5): - Good location. Clean No hot water!
- c74760f5b28c71b2a28fc3adbf2dfc78 (8/5): Had everything we needed and central location. - None, but plenty local cafe. It would be great to have a breakfast option at the hotel in the future as it had a nice big room and would be used for cooked breakfast or cold breakfast for people needing to leave early in morning before 9am
- Karen (9/5): Would recommend 👍🏻 - location, cleanliness, amenities, accessibility and comfort was all great Nothing
- Alan (7/5): It was very much as I expected from prior information - The room was clean and efficient. Everything worked. TV good. Plenty of hot water Room was very small. I would have preferred a shower (don't think I've had a bath for at least 2 decades!)
- Guest (7/5): -
- alan (10/5): Just loved my weekend break in aberfeldy - Location to everything I required Nothing
- titch (6/5): -
- Stacy (8/5): Bargain stay - Great location, great price, lady on reception very helpful
- William (9/5): - Friendly staff and reasonable price Remote didn't work on TV, got replacement batteries but still didn't work.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Simon (3/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): - There wasn't a bin in the toilet
- David (1/5): Dissatisfied with room poor value for the money charged - No breakfast provided Room was never cleaned throughout our stay. The mattress was uncomfortable with the springs almost coming through the fabric(dreadful).
- Urszula (8/5): -
- Charles (8/5): Excellent value. Clean, warm and comfortable. - Clean. Comfortable. Warm. Everything you need. Great location. Fantastic value.
- Aidan (5/5): Cheap and very basic hotel with no service or facilities but the beds were clean & comfortable - Good location. Bedding and towels clean. Single glazed windows let in a lot of noise from the road outside. Internal doors banged loudly through the night. Footfall on stairs was noisy. A used cotton bud lay on the stairs throughout my stay.
- Lucia (8/5): We stayed for one night as a group of four and had a lovely time. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as descr -
- Ash (4/5): Comfy to sleep at, but some basics need looking at - Comfy beds, with free site parking. Shower was cold without much pressure, couldn’t open the door fully because they’d crammed a double bed in a tiny room.
Likewise the bathroom required standing in the shower to shut the door
- Marie-Paule (8/5): -
- Susan (4/5): Basic accommodation - Basic accommodation with bed and shower. Cold room on arrival took hours to heat up. Given the allowed check in isn’t until 4pm we had to endure a very cold room into the evening.
- abbey (6/5): - Nice staff, good facilities Room was cold
- Iain (10/5): -
- laura (5/5): Fair - Breakfast would have been good, even a cold continental of cereal, toast, tea and coffee.
Reception opening hours were very sparse. Noise of dogs from room next door.
How can you leave a notice in the rooms about not eating takeaways in your room but allow the present of dogs?? Surely this involves more cleaning than a Chinese? Especially when you don’t provided food.
- Fox (8/5): - Helpful staff
- Nicola (8/5): Great location and value for money. - Comfy beds, super location, parking at door The bathroom was very smelly
- David (5/5): Not good out dated - No staff on during the night if anything happens
If you take unwell or anything else
You are left to be in your room.
You can’t take food up to your room like a takeaway meal.
The hotel closes the doors at 7pm you have to get yourself back into the hotel with a key code around the back door not very much lights with bad eyesight to get in again I left early after a few days.
- Alison (9/5): We will definitely stay again. - It's in the centre of town, with good bars close at hand for food and drinks. Entrance to Birks of Aberfeldy is across the road. Good local walks close by. It would be good to be able to sit in what was probably a bar/dining room previously, to eat takeaways. There's a fabulous Indian restaurant, but we can't take dogs in. As a family, it would have been good to be able to sit together in bar downstairs to eat.
- john (7/5): -
- Philip (1/5): -
- Michael (10/5): The perfect place to stay....Clean, warm, cozy and central. -
- Scott (7/5): -
- marianne (5/5): -
- Tara (10/5): -
- Deirdre (6/5): - Centrally located in the town. Basic but if all you need is a bed, it will do the trick. Ask for a room on the ground floor though. It really is as it says - a room with a bed and a shower. Reception only open for a few hours, common area not heated. Heating had to be turned on in the room.
- David (5/5): -
- Sugandhi Oushadhika Kularathne (3/5): Disappointing customer service - Location is in the middle of little town. Heaters and hot water were not working. Water pressure of showers are too low.We complained about this to the staff (help line given )and she didn’t even want to listen to us .She was pushing us to check out on time . She sent another staff member to check things last minute. We didn’t take showers .
- Alan (7/5): -
- Annie (9/5): Excellent stay - Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy. Lovely views at the back. We liked the little bathroom up the steps in the room. quite quirky. Hotel well located in the town and great carpark at back. We didn't use the lounge as we ate out but it looked very welcoming and handy for eating take away meals and relaxing. We had an excellent Cullen skink and curry at the Inti lounge restaurant on the high street. Would recommend. Very friendly staff. Nothing
- Conn (7/5): -
- Jonathan (7/5): -
- Jackie (5/5): - Could do with a upgrade rooms were clean thou Was very run down it was basic good price for a night
- Pamela (7/5): Good accommodation and great location. - Location was very central, we had a room facing the street was very noisy. The room was good, clean, and comfortable.
- Sebastien (10/5): -
- Raghavendran (6/5): - Location The room was very basic and did not look very clean. The toilet was awkwardly placed and absolutely awful to use.
- lindsay (4/5): -
- Marshall (7/5): Overnight stay ideal - Central Stairs lol
- James (5/5): -
- mccluskey (7/5): -
- george (5/5): Over priced for what I expected and got - The location was what I wanted , and the stafff were fine The room was too small for the cost, The shower was very weak also, and the roller blind was broken, fully unravelled when trying to pull it down.
- Andrea (4/5): Fair but won't book again, no where to get breakfast either - It was very basic but comfortable Didnt like the extension cables around the room,
Noise level was extremely poor I could hear the teenagers hanging around the chip shop which seemed to be a bot if a loitering meeting place
- Graham (7/5): - No check in after 7pm? That should be made really obvious when booking, for us it was not but thankfully we had friends in town that could check in for us and get the keys.
- Christine (6/5): Clean, comfortable, affordable, and coneveninetly situated, but with noise issues. - Clean, confortable, had all I needed. Beddroom doors banged, floors creaked, inside the room and in the corrodor. Could hear quiet conversation from next door. Someone next door had a shower and it sounded as though the water was draining next to my bed. There were door wedges all along the corridor, and somene had wedged a fire door open. I removed the wedge, but it was in place again in the morning.
- Anika (7/5): - A simple, but clean hotel. Very fair prices and all you need if you are just looking for a bed and a shower.
- Richard (9/5): - Very good, central location Hotel facilities couldn’t be faulted as no-frills as advertised, but didn’t expect to pay £27 for my dog to stay the night.
- Peter (7/5): -
- Paul (8/5): -
- linda (8/5): Room was clean and bed comfy - Good value That u had to check in b4 7 and this was when there was the wicked storm with flights being cancelled and roads closed due to fallen trees and they made it very difficult to check in after 7!
- Dalzell (9/5): - Very nice reception lovely woman.
- jason (9/5): -
- Miranda (6/5): - Good stay.
- Philip (8/5): - In town centre with parking big enough for vehicle transporter Stairs. I have arthritis
- Nanci (8/5): - Back door with code was difficult to open
- Frances (5/5): - Great location Bed was uncomfortable, room smelt damp, no night porter door was supposed to be locked people outside smoking had moved the latch to let them in and out
- elstow (6/5): -
- Lilia (2/5): Stayed in better crap hostels in S America. Far too expensive for a make shift crap room - Only locatio Tiny, crazy step in shower, just a fawlty towers place.
- Andrew (5/5): - Shower very difficult to access if you have difficulty with get over the side of the bath
- Rachel (6/5): - Good value for money - no frills, but the room had everything we needed for one nights stay. No meal options (but there is a lounge and facilities to make your own food).
The shower was an attachment over the bath, which does still work but not ideal.
- duncan (8/5): -
- john (8/5): - close to amenities nothing
- Michelle (1/5): Uncomfortable wouldn’t stay again - Nothing Had to be there by certain time or u can’t get in as no staff after 7 ! Unmanned hotel , beds made of bricks, no personal touch at all also not sure fire escape was legal didn’t feel safe there
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Clean and comfortable Nothing
- Simon (8/5): - Dogs had been in bedroom.
- Zoe (8/5): -
- Ros (6/5): - More like a hostel, plain and functional with friendly staff operating between 4 and 7 pm. The front door cannot be used outside those times so access is from the rear carpark up concrete steps with narrow tread and steep risers, using a keypad with a handle too stiff to operate. I went down those steps later and because they were steep supported myself by using my stick and holding onto the railings of the bannister. As I stepped down the bannister rail came away in my hand and I fell badly bruising my left hip and ribs and hitting the back of my head hard against a concrete post , all witnessed by staff from the hotel who were going off duty. They helped with kind concern and offered support and help and medical advice which I decided against preferring to wait til morning to see how I coped as I did not want to spend time in A&E leaving my dog alone in a strange place. I managed to load my car the next day with help from fellow guests as no staff were available though there was an emergency telephone number to call. I managed the 5 hour drive to my next destination. My ribs are still painful and stopping me from fulfilling the purpose of my journey. The hotel provides practical and basic service which does work, clean comfortable bed, but there are a number of safety measures that need attention and the access door to the rear of the hotel was difficult for more guests than me and we had to prop it open to ensure we could re-enter. Lovely walks though, very nice staff.
- Lorna (5/5): Very pleasant overall and staff helpful. - Easy to find and good parking. Good local facilities Room small. Bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. It had a lot of stairs.
- Kenny (6/5): - Clean and quiet
- Gerfried (4/5): Enttäuschung - Sehr kleines Zimmer, insgesamt sehr schäbig.
- Michael (6/5): -
- Lovett (8/5): - Very handy for a drink and a meal on the square. no dislikes.
