- dianagT5019KP (10/5): Lovely time - Stay Saratoga Hotel is such a charming gem right in the heart of Saratoga Springs. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed by the cozy, quaint and charming atmosphere that makes it feel more personal than a typical hotel. The location is fantastic — close to downtown, shops, restaurants, and everything Saratoga has to offer. The amenities really set this place apart. Having Netflix in the room was a great touch for relaxing in the evenings, and the common areas were so much fun — especially the pool table and bocce ball, which added a unique and playful vibe to our stay. Clean rooms, great location, and thoughtful extras make this a wonderful place to stay. I’d absolutely recommend Stay Saratoga Hotel to anyone visiting Saratoga Springs and would happily stay here again!
- geaniner2025 (10/5): Amazing stay - Vibe atmosphere and location were everything I wanted and more. The drive was short and everything is walking distance to the hotel. The rooms we booked were cleaned spotless and smelled of bleach which is a plus. The owner was great and his service was more than I’ve seen an owner do. The outside had a great cozy feeling to it and was so inviting.

- Stirone (1/5): Stay Away - It was close to DMB concert Ridiculously over priced. States pool and free parking. No pool and I was charged daily for parking. The place was filthy and I was charged extra for maid service. Also rooms were condemned but the city. I do have pictures. Left 1 day early claimed family emergency. Office was always locked with a number to call that was never answered. This was in July. Now in September I am fighting for a $263 charge that was just put on my card from this place.
- Fearless50691182691 (10/5): Back In Time - I had the pleasure of staying in the Victorian King Suite at Stay Saratoga and I can truly say this is the nicest room I’ve ever slept in. Built in 1874 with original furniture, it was like going back in time. It has a large kitchen, living room area and a lovely,comfortable bed. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi! The room was so clean. Then there’s the stunning, secluded courtyard with a fire pit, I met nice people there and we drank wine under the stars. Stay is a must stay in Saratoga
- nicolebB5176HE (10/5): Will be coming back! - First thing, the drive up is beautiful so welcoming and inviting! The owner Steve made the booking/check in process a breeze! So helpful and thoughtful. The room was huge and smelled like it was freshly cleaned. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. BONUS THE FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN WAS A PLUS! My stay was 4 days, each of those 4 days the housekeeper would come into the room and make it brand new again! 10/10 would recommend to family and friends!
- karencQ130XR (4/5): Not very clean - The owner reached out to us to give us a complimentary upgrade to the Victorian King Suite. Unfortunately, it was not much of an upgrade. The owner was very nice. And the hotel itself is in a great location. However, the room was dirty and smelled. The mattress and box spring were visibly old and had no mattress protectors on them, and the pillows smelled. I actually had to buy 2 pillows from the local Target. The sheets and pillows had hairs on them. The kitchen cabinets and fridge were dirty, and the window sills and shades were filthy. There were dead bugs on the sills that I cleaned up. The air conditioner smelled moldy. Like the air filters were never cleaned. I actually sprayed it with Lysol because I couldn't stand the smell. The jacuzzi tub had a broken faucet, which the owner gave us a wrench to turn it on. I actually wouldn't have minded that if the room was clean. The shower curtain was dirty. Some of the old furnishings and lamps were broken. The cable TV didn't work either. The owner actually asked us to review him, like he didn't have a clue how dirty this room was. It looked like other rooms at this hotel may have been better and cleaner than ours. Not what I want to experience when I'm paying $1200 to stay there.
- LoveTravel403739 (10/5): The perfect stay in the perfect place. - Charming, sweet, comfortable and perfect location. I was very early to arrive (11am) and the owner called me to tell me I could check in whenever I wanted. He greeted me upon arrival and carried my bags to my room. His prices were the best and my room was stunning! Nowhere are you going to get a full kitchen and a beautiful 4 poster wood bed. Just beautiful. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The amenities are great for kids, too. Basketball, boci ball, and a pool table all in front of the hotel. Each room came with outside rocking chairs. I WILL STAY HERE EVERY TIME!

- 512spap (10/5): Great location! - Stay Saratoga was a great place to stay for the July 4th weekend. We walked to the racetrack and then to town. After dinner, we walked to the motel since it was only a 15 minute walk from town. It was a perfect location so we did not have to drive and find parking in Saratoga Springs. The rooms were clean and the AC worked perfectly. Once we got to the courtyard by our rooms, the firepit was on which was a very nice touch. We were also able to use the EV charge by the office which was a plus for us! We will definitely be back! Gracias, Steve!
- Donna St. Hilaire (4/5): Did not feel safe and non-disclosed charges added to the bill, owner is not trust worth. - The location of this small motel/hotel in Saratoga Springs was good. Free parking at the site. Enjoyed walking to many restaurants and stores on Broadway and other streets in downtown. Walking distance to the 4th of July festivities and the fireworks. The kitchen was not functional for cooking, the cooktop was 2 hotplates- no real cooktop. The cabinets didn't have much in the way of dishes, it lacked cups for coffee, no glasses for drinking beverages and the 2 plates in the cabinet were dirty. The closet had a terrible odor so was basically unusable. Lived out of our luggage. Stayed for 3 nights and were only given 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths and 1 hand towel. Charges were added to the bill that were inappropriate. Pet fees when we didn't have any pets, charges for credit card surcharge, charge for housekeeping gratuity daily even though there weren't any housekeeping services. Dead bolt nonfunctioning and had we turned it we would have been locked in unable to get out of the room. The entire door was loose that it didn't provide security. The bathroom was missing grout between the tiles. No doorknobs on the bathroom doors. Missing lightbulbs in the lights. The owner Steven came into our room while we were gone without any notification either before or after he went into our room. The room was located on the second story with only one set of stairs for access no elevator. We would not stay at this location again.

The owner was very helpful with booking us in last minute, they even greeted us when we arrived late into the night. The Adirondack room was incredible, we loved the wooden furniture, and the space was massive! There was also a firepit in a nice secluded section of the property. Its was more like an apartment than a hotel room; there was a pretty big kitchen. The grounds are lovely and the location is excellent. I will be back again.

My daughter enjoys playing basketball and bocce ball that are also on the property. Steve goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home. My family and I also enjoyed morning coffee and relax time in the rocking chairs provided outside of our rooms. 😊 Thank you again for a great Stay!!!
- 373veel (10/5): Want Clean and Comfortable? Come Stay At The Stay. - My fiance and I had stayed there for approximately 8 months. I want to say that my experience was absolutely wonderful. It's the perfect home away from home. Steve who is the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. My room was spacious, came with a full kitchenette, beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed, comes with wifi. Cable TV, there's a full gym. Also a BIG PLUS is that it's a smoke free property. Don't have to worry about stinky rooms! Very clean. The entire property is well taken care of, garden. Flowers, theres a beautiful fountain Steve takes very good care of his entire place. If you're looking for a budget friendly home away from home lax chill place this is the place to book!!

- megmaeve717 (2/5): Owner cannot be trusted - and rooms awful - Booked this directly at 8:30 PM on May 27th for that same night after having an issue at the original hotel I booked nearby. Initially for 5 nights- but after 2 nights I had to return home because my husband was ill. I told the owner Steve that there was a possibility I had the leave after the 1st night for this reason and he responded "OK" - never mentioning a cancelation policy. After I left - I called 3 times and sent 2 texts asking for a receipt for the 2 nights I stayed there. No response. This morning I saw a charge on my AMEX for over $1000 ( hotel booked directly online is $158 PN). I immediately called AMEX to dispute the charge. Just now I received the receipt by email showing charges for 5 nights! Never once was I informed either verbally or in writing of these charges nor the cancellation policy until AFTER I FILED A DISPUTE! And, BTW while the hotel is quaint looking from the out side - the rooms are AWFUL. No bulbs in light fixtures...uncomfortable beds...Terrible shower and chipped and dirty walls. DO NOT recommend.
- NorthStar439121 (2/5): A really bad hotel experience. - SAVE YOURSELF! DON'T GO HERE. These people don't know how to run a hotel it seems. When we arrive, there is just a note on the door saying "call us." We do and are told they are busy getting a haircut. but the keys are in the room door - no worries about security! The room was filthy. We later discover they put us into the wrong room, but we are glad to get out of there. The room we were given seemed okay, but lacked coat hangers, and sufficient towels. I almost tore my foot open on a screw sticking out of a metal flooring strip in the kitchenette. The hot water never arrived for one of my two showers. The parking lot was full of ice, and the stairs that we had to use to access the room were very icy. After it snowed Sunday morning, nothing--including the stairs--was shoveled. I end up shoveling them myself. I happened to have one in the car. There was no one around to check us out--same note on the door. When you call the phone number, you get a recording saying they are too busy "assisting other guests." What BS! they are never there. Oh, and I forgot to mention they overcharged us by $85. When I talked to the owner about this, he claims we owe for "extras." What are these supposed "extras?" He tells me he will send an email explaining everything. No email ever arrives. The next day I call and--no surprise--he does not answer. So I leave a message to call back. That call never comes. STAY AWAY!

- Lynn (1/5): Didn’t happen due to their inappropriate actions!!! - They canceled my reservation the day I arrived. I was never notified. They stated I had a two night minimum and only booked for one night. They stated Booking.com should never have made that reservation. I had made the reservation in May!!!! I tried to book a second night on Monday, September 16, and was told they had no availability for that Friday, September20, which would have given me the 2 nights. They even gave me my reservation number! Of course they had one room left, which was a king suite and wanted to charge me double of what I already booked and paid for. Now I have to go and fight for my money back. Manager was rude and Curt!!!!!
- michaelgV912EE (10/5): Best little Inn in Saratoga - An Amazing Place to Stay! This is not a motel—it's a charming inn! Steve, the host, greeted us upon arrival and personally helped us to our room. His hospitality was truly exceptional, making him one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. The building itself, built in 1857, is rich in history, and the room was cozy, making us feel right at home. We even had our own private patio area, which was perfect for relaxing and soaking in the peaceful vibes of Saratoga. The location is incredibly convenient. We walked 1.7 miles to SPAC and just 0.5 miles to downtown, which was especially nice for me at 52, as I appreciated not needing to drive anywhere. I will definitely be back! There’s no need to look for another place to stay in Saratoga. Steve ensured we were well taken care of the entire weekend, making our stay truly memorable.
- lillianr784 (10/5): Must Stay!!! Wonderful place! - Went to this hotel with my husband and had a blast!!! The room was fantastic, felt like I was in a cute cabin because of the decor. I loved it so much, would highly recommend and will be returning to this hotel every year!!!there is no smoking on the property so that’s a plus, nothing more irritating when you open a door and cigarette smoke comes in the room, so it’s great knowing people can’t smoke on the property. Also this hotel is very close to down and a lot of eating options next door on either side and across the street!

McDonald's is right across the street along with dunkin donuts and pizza hut. Close to town, you can even walk down town. We had so much fun!!! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

My friends and I were happy to have a full kitchen in a huge room, double the size of a regular hotel room. Great amenities, beautiful grounds, perfect location for the Track, concerts and nightlife. Can't wait to return in June for the Belmont Stakes.

The room was way bigger than I was expecting and the beds were very comfortable! The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating. Not to mention a bocce court and exercise room for added fun! We will be back later this summer. It was a great time.
- Therese (5/5): Yuk - Location was convenient walking distance to many things. Room was big, AC worked well A pool is advertised, there was no pool. The jets to the tub did not work. There was no shower option. The tub was very dirty. It was filled with sand like someone rinsed off in it after the beach. There was so much sand that it was shocking, clearly no one looked at the tub to even attempt to clean it. There was a large red pizza sauce type smear across the fridge, it was gross. It was so obvious that if someone went to wipe it down they would have seen it so we were aware that no one attempted to clean the kitchen. Our bed linens were FILTHY. Blood stains were visible on mattress through the sheets. The sheets and pillow cases had other people's make up smear all over them among other substances. It was late so we slept above the sheets on top of a blanket type thing. There was a hash mark on the like sheet someone had and accident. The sheets were so dirty is was so gross, it turned our stomachs. We did not call anyone because it was late and we were tired when we discovered it

We even had access to charging station for our electric car. 30 minute (Walk) from SPAC. A place to reserve on our next visit to Saratoga Spring. Thanks to Steve for his hospitality.
- R3543XHstevew (10/5): Ideal location and an affordable comfortable room - This was our 2nd time staying at Stay Saratoga and it did not disappoint. We spent 4 nights in one of the first floor suites with a full kitchen, large comfortable living room, perfect king size bed and a classic Victorian bathroom. Steve, the owner, is a class act. He checked in with me the day before my arrival to make sure it would be seamless. The cleaning staff was excellent, air conditioning worked perfectly too. The location of the Stay Saratoga is ideal, just a short walk to Congress Park and an easy walk to all the bars and restaurants on Broadway, Phila and Caroline. We will definitely be back very soon and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a nice spot in downtown Saratoga.

- mariagL773PO (10/5): Belmont in Toga - Had a great time in Saratoga for the Belmont Stakes. This hotel made the trip fantastic. We were able to walk to the Track and to all the restaurants. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi in the beautiful courtyard. My room was perfect, clean, huge, a kitchen and a perfect bed. Will be back for sure
- H4173UYjoes (10/5): COMPHY VICTORIAN INN - This is such a wonderful Inn. Our bed were super comfortable and clean. They use duvet covers so no dirty comforter. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The room itself was Victorianand appointed with beautiful antiques. We loved it.
- B2909NBcourtneya (10/5): Nice time at Stay Saratoga - Stayed this past weekend at Stay and we really enjoyed it. The room had a full kitchen, two comfy beds, reclining leather chairs and a big bathroom. We were happy to have bathrobes laid out on our beds. Every thing was spotlessly clean. The location is perfect but while staying at the Inn we enjoyed their bocce court, pool table, swim spa and the fire pit. Stay is clean, comfortable and fun.

Loved the gym and swim spa. I'm going to come here a lot whenever I go to Saratoga. I'm going to try their place in MA, called Stay Berkshires.

- Bruce (1/5): Bad - Our reason for making the trip was canceled due to inclement weather. I called the hotel to cancel our stay before 9am, check in was not until 3pm. The owner said he would not offer any refund at all, not even for the second night. That was very disappointing. I had heart surgery several months ago and the drive (5 hrs) would be arduous for no reason, again, the event was canceled. My wife has Alzheimer's and cannot drive so the driving burden would have been all on me. So, again, disappointed.

I also got charged an extra $60 for housekeeping and some other tax which obviously the housekeepers are not doing a good job. The room also smelled really bad. Had to buy frebreeze. - Verified traveler (2/5): Stay Somewhere Else in Saratoga - Overcharged us by $37.43, did not respond to phone message, Hotels.com no help, had to go to credit card to get a refund. Also, hotel did not provide a receipt. Box of tissues almost empty and not replaced. Fridge warm and moldy--useless. Reservation was for 3 guests, but only 2 sets of towels. Thermostat was lowered to 55 while we were out. For February in Saratoga, 62 or so would have made more sense. When we got back at midnight, room was too cold to go to bed. Damage deposit took a week to get back, even though Oyo's website says it should take a day or two for a U.S. property.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was outraged with this hotel. I have made my booking in advance, arrived at the hotel and was denied to stay there, although the hotel was pretty much empty. The guy at the reception simply tripled the price I have paid for my booking, and said if I would not pay the difference, he would not allow me in. So I left and recommend you all to stay away from them
- Tracey (4/5): Poor Management Period ! - The owner was very rude, he charged my credit card extra charges separately without my permission the same night but hours after we checked in and when I confronted him he was u professional and gave me the story he didn’t know how that happened ? Promised to put the charges back on my card. He did not do this he actually charged my card $25 two days after check out but refused to return my call to explain why he did this and it’s unacceptable. The door to the room obviously did not fit wall to door letting the cold air in and we were freezing all night long. Check out was 11 am and We checked out at 10:05. we basically slept and that was it period. Left the room the same way it was when we arrived. It’s a motel not a hotel and not friendly right from the start. Others should beware of this owner stealing people’s money and keeping their card number information where people can have access to it. I now have to contact my bank and cancel it because of his fraudulent activity.
- Geoff (10/5): - Good location for the price, and happy with the room. Refrigerator, coffee maker (with coffee), microwave, and wine bottle opener in the room made things easy. No shortage of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not that happy - We were charged $30 extra because of my 2nd child even though the room said it slept 4 people. We were told if we had booked it for 3 people instead of using the default “2,” we would have been charged more through Hotels.com. That was false, as it gave the same price whether I put “2” or “3” people in. Also, it claimed to have breakfast, and in the am when we went to checkin to find “breakfast “, the office was again locked. We had to call the proprietor, who seemed a little unprepared, and after about 10 minutes, he came to our room with muffins and Subway frozen breakfast sandwiches. Needless to say, we were late meeting our party, and my kids would not eat the “breakfast.” We did get an “upgraded room which was cozy, clean, but I would have booked elsewhere if I knew we would be charged extra, and everytime we needed something, we had to call since the office was locked and empty The whole time. Not a terrible experience, just not what I expected due to the description on Hotels.com. I would have chosen somewhere else.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I had a pretty bad experience at this hotel and it was also very noisy. I could hear heavy footsteps pretty much throughout the night. My experience involved someone knocking on my door profusely in the afternoon, opening the door, and then apologizing for opening the door. I was then asked if I had checked in, which was a complete insult given I was already in the room and the man had given me the key. I was very disappointed that a manager would treat a guest in this fashion. I feel like he could have called me first since there was a telephone in the room. I get that it was extremely busy that night, but given that he had checked me in, given me a key, etc....I thought he would have tried to remember my face. But I don't think he did. That is sad to me. In the morning when I tried to find him to check out, he was nowhere to be found. He never offered me a refund for his accusations (as if I had not checked in, thought I was already in the room for several hours before the knocking began). Had I not had the latch on the door, he would have stepped right in. Instead, he opened the door and the latch caught it just in time. This was concerning to me and though after speaking with him he claims no harm was done...I would have to argue I was very much shaken by that unpleasant experience. I had no idea who was banging on my door. He even had the nerve to call me a few minutes later (which should have been his original plan) to ask me if I had checked in.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - PRO: Location is good for walking to shops and restaurants. Room was large and clean. CON: Bed was awful. Soft, soft foam mattress felt like sleeping in a bowl of oatmeal. Which reminds me, the promised breakfast did not exist. The only thing in room was coffee.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a late check in and had let the manager/owner know. He was very accommodating. We were driving 3 1/2hrs and wanted to stop along the way. When we got there we rang bell and were greeted by his daughter who confirmed which room and gave us a key. The room was cute, dated, yes, but cute. It's part of the charm of the area. Beds had memory foam toppers and were comfy. We turned heat on since it was super chilly and it didn't seem to work. We were so tired we turned it up higher to see if it kicked on and fell asleep. It never kicked on. Upon mentioning this to Steve the next day he said we could have just called him and he would have brought a space heater and extra blanket. We didn't even think about it from being so tired. So our fault for not saying anything.

I also loved that there were hard wood floors and not carpeting so my allergies were in check. Everything was clean. The only complaint I had was some very noisy people in the room next to us and I think at 1:00 and 2:00 am they should have been more respectful but I was not about to approach strangers. The one thing that did bother me was when we came to check in, the door was locked and there was a number to call on the door. I called the number and nobody answered so I left a message but did not get a call back so we went to eat and came back and it was still locked. The second call was successful but that is not a good way to greet your guests. Other than that, it was very nice.

WOULD SUGGEST YOU STAY ELSEWHERE! PAID APPROX $180/NITE. MY WIFE CALLED IT "A DUMP". WE HAVE STAYED HERE BEORE AND FELT COMFORTABLE BOOKING A ROOM- WE ARE FREQUENT TRAVELERS AND HAVE STAYED AT MANY FINE HOTELS AND SOME VERY CASUAL PLACES- THIS PLACE IS NOW OFF OUR LIST! SORRY.
