Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): - Excellent for the price. Very clean comfortable room. Not '
fancy' by any means but perfect for a good, safe place to sleep.
- Lamar (10/5): - I grew up in the town and moved off 40 years ago. Drove by it many times over the years and always wanted to check it out. Don't expect new and shiny but if you want to experience how it used to be - then book here.
- Randall (10/5): - Clean
- Jaime (10/5): - Nice and quiet, even had some chickens show when I went to work in the morning
- Michael (6/5): - it was quiet
- Julie (8/5): - We went to Amana Colonies and this was a very affordable clean place to stay for our girls trip we loved it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Sudbury Court is an old-style motel. It is clean and comfortable. My only concern is the weak water pressure. The staff was friendly.
- Alice (4/5): - A really crummy room in need of lots of repairs.
- Rob (10/5): - Classic, old style motel! When was the last time you had an actual key? Super clean and responsive staff. Thanks so much!!
- Natasha (10/5): Quiet and Quaint - This was a nice, quaint little place.
- Vicki (8/5): Sudbury stay - Older hotel but comfortable beds and convenient for our stay.
- Susan (4/5): Sudbury Court Motel Room - The room was outdated, although clean. It was over deodorized and could not air it out as no windows were able to open. We opened the door for fresh air. Luckly, there were no insects flying in thorough the ripped screen door. We had no hot water for showers, which was very disappointing. Our friends next door had the same problem.
- Angela (4/5): - The room was clean but the bed, bed linens and coverings were very outdated and thin.
- Kyleigh (10/5): - Very welcoming staff and property was clean and tidy.
- Cathleen (2/5): - Very cold and not enough heat in the room. Very run down.
- Elaine (6/5): - This is an older motel that appears to be undergoing minor updates. It is pretty rough, (previous curtain rods removed leaving holes in walls, etc) but roomy & not awful.
- Suzanne (6/5): - Not enough outlets. Could only plug in 2 of 4 electronics (fridge, microwave, coffee pot, lamp). Had to request another towel as we were only given 2 bath towels for 3 people. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. We all woke up with aching backs. Pillows are flat.
But it was quiet, at least.
- Carrie (10/5): - Nice and cozy
- Sam (10/5): - We always stay here! Super friendly and accommodating!
- douglas (10/5): - Clean and neat. Spartan but that is ok for us, we are traveling, not resorting
- Katie (8/5): - We stayed there for the night. Would have rather had one not close to the main road. No problems
- John (4/5): - No hangers in closet, carpet was dirty in some areas, chairs dirty by table, could not get internet service. Could not understand the managers, when we talked to them.
- LISA (8/5): - A little noisy from hwy traffic. Parking was a little tight.
Needs coffee pot in rooms! Otherwise nice little place!
- Pamela (2/5): Noisy neighbors - The motel was not the problem. At 3:10 a.m. my neighbors arrived and proceeded to play loud music and were talking and laughing. I should have complained to management but after 45 minutes of that, and realizing it was not going to stop any time soon, I chose to pack up and leave. I ended up staying the rest of the night in my vehicle.
- Frank (8/5): - Quaint roadside inn. Friendly staff.
- LeAnn (8/5): - Very nice for an older motel. Very quite, even on a busy highway. The beds need upgraded though, as my back was sore whm I got up. Other than that. Great stay for the price.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very nice place to stay
- Kevin (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- John (8/5): Older hotel with a lot of class - This is not the most decadent hotel you will ever stay in, but it is very clean, comfortable, easy to get to, and the staff are extremely friendly and ready to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
- felix (10/5): Just to lay your head for the night. - I needed a olace just to lay my head for the night and this worked out well.
- Dale (8/5): - Very clean with no frills. Met my needs with the basics. I'd stay again.
- Mark (2/5): - The owner was overtly mad that I booked via Expedia. These were the dirtiest and most dated rooms I have ever stayed in. There was a woman’s gown with blood stains on it hanging in the bathroom. The heat us contorolled by a radiator, and it was blazing hot, almost impossible to sleep
- Michael (6/5): - Toilet should have been cleaned. No facial tissues supplied.
- John (8/5): Good Ole Days - It is an older hotel, but very well taken care of. The owners and management care about your stay and your comfort. Definitely will stay here again.
- Tom (10/5): Great stopover - Perfect for an overnight while traveling.
- Kristine (10/5): - Staff was wonderful, helpful & very accommodating
- William (8/5): Spacious and comfortable blast from the past - Nothing fancy but spacious and comfortable rooms. Definitely a blast from the past vibe to it!
Only thing we would do when we stay again is to bring our own pillows. Pillows weren't bad but only two not so fluffy ones and wife and I usually use either two or MyPillows!
- Traci (4/5): - At check in I was given a room number. The guy checking me in was called towards the back by what seemed to be the owner. All of a sudden the room number changed. Guessing it was because I had two dogs with me. This property allows dogs, and I was charged for each of them for both nights of my stay. I was then placed in the back part of a building. it didn't really have windows (two windows way up on the walls and very small) A wall in the room either had water damage or mold that they scraped off, but never repaired the wall itself. The carpet was that really thin low pile carpet that has no pad underneath like you may see in a dive bar. ZERO security when it comes to the lock on your room. They still use keys and there is no deadbolt. The lock is on the door knob. It is the type you push the knob in and turn it slightly. But they so nicely put in a chain lock, which for a female traveling alone, being put in a room in a darker area, with no real locks on the door makes one not be able to sleep that well. I understand that maybe one may think dogs cause a dirty room but I was just sleeping there and heading out very early each morning and getting back very late at night. I crate my dogs and bring bedding so they are not messing up the bedding in the room. But I still get shoved in a not so great room and was charged the same as the rooms that were a lot nicer. (no pics that I could find anywhere on their site showing this awful part of the building & these rooms)
- Ken (8/5): - We like the benches out side the room
- LAURA (8/5): - For an overnite stay it was a great location on my way to show
- Claire (10/5): - I’ve stayed here a few times for an extended amount of time. I really enjoyed it and would stay there again. Staff was fantastic and every helpful.
- Brian (6/5): - Website has the fee for having a pet was $5. At check-in they charged me $10. It feels like theres not much emphasis on room cleanliness, but I guess for the price maybe Im expecting too much. The workers I ran across there were friendly.
- David (8/5): - Simple, cheap off the beaten path
- Johnathan (8/5): Old Fashioned Motel with a lot of charm - The decor is a little dated, it looks right out of a 70's movie. But it adds to the charm. Right off the highway, but surprisingly you don't really hear the sounds of the traffic. Staff was amazing, and they take care of the rooms. Only 10 minutes from Amana Colonies and Williamsburg. Will definitely stay here again.
- James (8/5): - Air conditioner was meh. Couldnt het temote to work
- Michael (10/5): - I liked sitting outside and watching the traffic go bye
- Julie (6/5): - It's a nice place, but there was another guest that was very rude while we were trying to sleep.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No frills but quiet and clean. Will stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was hot due to the air conditioner having been turned off.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was fine
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was fantastic
- Brandon (4/5): - Was a little run down and dirty, the WiFi did not work.
- victor (6/5): the floors hadn't been vacuumed forever - Its pretty expensive for what you're getting it should at least be immaculate carpets were dirty and bathtub was full of filth
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Have stayed here numerous times since 2003. It has always been a basic place to rest your head for the evening, so don't expect more. It is an older place and could use serious updating, but again, don't expect it soon. It will always be clean and it will serve its purpose as a place to rest for the night before moving on.
- Collette (4/5): - Although I booked a room for 3 adults, we had towels etc. for 2 and it was difficult to get more. Stains in several places on carpet. No way to keep water in shower;it was all over bathroom. Lukewarm water shower and the smallest soap slivers I have ever seen (just 2 of them) and they would not lather at all. No new towels for the second day or any type of housekeeping. The sign said "Microwave in office for guest use" on the shelf with no microwave. Window air conditioner ran constantly and did little if temp was over 80.
The door knob/lock was so loose in the door that you could see daylight all the way around it and it needed to be jiggled to line up so the lock would engage to use the key.
We used the safety chain because that lock would not have kept out a toddler who wanted to come in. We will not forget this experience any time soon!
- Susan (10/5): Excellent!!! - Very clean. Check in was fast. Room was ready early on check in day.
- Lori (8/5): - This was very basic room. Clean, well kept. Beds much more comforable than one at 150 dollars a day that we stayed at night before. Tv was old, flat screen would have been nice. Heat didnt work but they gave us space heater.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We stayed 4 nights.
The ice maker wass out of service!
The room was cold. The thermostat seemed to be set for 66. That is too cold! When we got back to the room I would ser it for 72 or higher. It would warm up to maybe 69. In the morning it was back to 66. It was uncomfortable!
The place is old and worn but it was clean!
We will not go back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The TV did not work well and the pix we got was poor. couldn't change channels without much playing around.
Couldn't get the room warm.
- Sarah (8/5): - Very lovely little hotel! Had a slightly musty smell to the room, but there had been a large amount of rain in the area, so it wasn't anything alarming. After a being in the room long enough to go to the restroom, I didn't even notice it. It was VERY clean!! The people working were extremely friendly and kind. It was a little dated in terms of style and amenities, but there was a refrigerator in the room, and a TV. I will be staying here again next time I'm spending the night in the area.
- Dennis (4/5): The only game in town... - Fairly clean but needs a little fixer upper action.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Owners are wonderful people.
Rooms are older and basic but very clean.
Convenient to Marengo and Amanas and interstate.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - bed was very stiff and no recliner in room other than that ok
