A very small thing: there are plenty of plates but little less of spoons, knives and forks to make a full load of the spacious dishwasher. Please, let us add some.

• Anna (10/5): Toskana in Reinform - Das Castelletto ist super schön, Marco ist sehr gastfreundlich, die Aussicht ist Klasse und der Pool echt gut gelegen. Auch die Häuser außen herum sind aller außergewöhnlich, man bekommt einen tollen Toskana Einblick. Vorsicht, wer mit dem Auto anreist, die Straßen oben sind sehr eng und wer nachts den Berg rauf fährt, es kann sein, dass Wildschweine über die Fahrbahn rennen.

• Antonio (10/5): Total entspannt. Tolle Unterkunft. Super Poolbereich - Eine sehr gemütliche Unterkunft. Alles ist da. Es ist weit abgelegen vom Dorf. Dort gibt es nichts. Dafür bekommt man alles im Apartment. Viele Mücken und Bremsen. Auch Antimückenspray ist ausreichend vorhanden.

• JJ (10/5): Luxury authentic tuscan stay - The location, venue and facilities were all perfect. Marco was an exceptional host. When we checked in, he showed up the apartment and all the facilities, including the pool, private gated parking and gym area. Marco also gave us a quick tour of the village and gave some local tips on where to go and eat. The apartment was full of tuscan character while being spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool area serene and quiet, surrounded by greenery with a fantastic view of the valley. Given the castle only has a small number of guests, it is always quiet with plenty of sunbed space, there was also bbq, toilet and shower facilities at the pool, and a fridge if you want to bring food and drinks! There is absolutely nothing not to like about the venue. When we checked out, we asked Marco if we could spend some time at the pool - he was very accommodating and even gave us a spare key so we could get in/out of the pool area and parking. All in all the perfect luxury location.

L'appartamento era suggestivo, arredato con cura e ricco di dettagli che raccontano la storia del luogo, senza però rinunciare al comfort moderno. Vivere (ahimè per pochi giorni) circondati da mura secolari, un giardino e una piscina curatissimi è stato qualcosa di davvero speciale. Grazie di cuore!

La struttura, che abbiamo visitato guidati da Marcello, è perfettamente curata e ricca di fascino storico, conquista al primo sguardo: ogni angolo racconta una storia e trasmette un’atmosfera unica . Complimenti al Dott.Marco! L’appartamento in cui abbiamo soggiornato era fresco, accogliente e caratteristico, arredato con gusto e attenzione ai dettagli. L’accoglienza è stata degna di un hotel a 5 stelle: il personale, estremamente cordiale e disponibile, ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. Un pensiero davvero gradito è stato il cestino di benvenuto, perfetto per iniziare al meglio il soggiorno - ci ha permesso di rimandare la spesa per il primo giorno! - La posizione strategica del castelletto permette di visitare facilmente splendide città d’arte e pittoreschi borghi medievali, rendendo ogni giornata un’esperienza nuova e indimenticabile. • Elazuyikop (10/5): Toscanian beauty - Leuke, rustige locatie waar je echt tot rust komt. De eigenaars zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, waardoor je je meteen welkom voelt. Het zwembad is heerlijk om in af te koelen en te ontspannen. Daarnaast is florence, siena en san gimignano erg dichtbij. Het is vrij afgelegen, dus het is handig om boodschappen van tevoren te doen. Daarnaast vond ik de bedden wat te hard voor mijn smaak.

The appartment is spacious and had everything you need. We enjoy every minute. The location is very central so you can explore a lot of nice places. And if you come back from a long day you can relaxe in the beautiful collerful garden with the large swimmingpool. A piece of heaven on earth❤️. Nothing just go, enjoy and relaxe.

• Sherri (10/5): Enjoying the villa life with incredible views - We stayed four nights in the wonderful Castelletto di Montebenichi. These hilltop apartments are definitely off the beaten track. If you are looking for convenience of restaurants and shopping, look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for quiet, fantastic views and a taste of slower pace, this might be a place for you. Marco has lovingly refurbished and updated four apartments in the small village (30 year-round residents) first established in the 13th century. Our kitchen was furnished with everything we need to make full meals, the living room is spacious and the bed comfortable. Best of all, however, is the pool and garden area. With so few guests we had the large pool overlooking the Tuscan countryside all to ourselves. We had originally scheduled daily sightseeing trips, but after experiencing the magic of the garden and pool ambiance, we decided to spend two of our days lounging around the pool, imagining having our own Italian villa. Wifi was only good in the living room, almost non existant in the bedroom, due to the thick castle walls

• Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is a special place to stay. You imagine yourself back in time. The village where the accommodation is located has approximately 28 inhabitants. The area is therefore quiet. Tip: Do some shopping before you arrive at this accommodation. The next supermarket is about a 25-minute drive away. The accommodation is exactly as indicated on the website. The pool and garden are beautiful. The rooms are fully equipped. Marco the owner is very friendly and helpful. They really think about everything. Thanks Marco for a nice holiday! What is less has nothing to do with the accommodation, but it is useful to know. There are many insects in Monte Benichi. Think of mosquitoes, wasps, hornets, etc. Take items with you in preparation for this.
• Steven (8/5): Unique, relaxing, historic property in the beautiful Tuscan countryside - The location is exceptional, situated in the most beautiful countryside with wonderful views across Tuscan hills, vineyards and Olive groves. The Castle is one of the most unique places we’ve stayed and the swimming pool and gardens made our stay so relaxing after a previously busy week staying in and visiting the sights of Florence and Sienna. The host Marco was very welcoming and the welcome pack he provided was very generous. His Limoncello is to be recommended. The small table and chairs outside our apartment in the Castle courtyard was a perfect location for breakfast. If you have a car, which you will need, there’s a separate gated parking area for guests at the Castle. A short 15 minute drive away is the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga where you’ll find a well equipped Co-op for all your food needs if you intend to use the well equipped kitchen. The one restaurant in Montebenichi is highly recommended but you must pre-book. Pre booking tables at restaurants in the small towns near to Montebenichi is a must. There are lots of beautiful towns to visit within 90 minutes drive but I would recommend Assisi, Siena and San Gimignano. The air conditioning unit in our apartment wouldn’t work due to an electrical fault which occurred during our stay and unfortunately it couldn’t be fixed until after we left so it was a little warm sleeping at nights. Because it’s an old Castle the windows are small and the rooms much darker than we were used too.

We treated ourselves to 4 nights in Tuscany as part of our honeymoon trip to Europe and Marco’s place was by far our favourite out of all the places we stayed. There isn’t a single thing missed - all amenities were provided in such a thoughtful way. From the bbq utensils, to pool house showers (including wash items, sunscreen etc) to even a fridge to keep your pool side drinks cold., private parking, a fully equipped gym, beautifully kept gardens. We were blown away at the property. The apartment is in the middle of magical castle walls and it really did feel like waking up in a dream! Wished we could stay longer!

• Rachel (10/5): Amazing stay in the Tuscan countryside - We had a fantastic stay here in the Tuscan countryside, the only problem is that we didn’t stay long enough. The apartment was extremely clean, the grounds were immaculate, and the silence was golden- hard to explain. We felt like we were at our new Tuscan country house after Day 2. It was actually quite sad to leave, and we hope to return one day. We will tell our friends about this place- we can’t thank Marco and Marcello enough.

Marco and his son are extremely hospitable. The apartment is a bit outdated and there is not much soundproofing. WiFi is an unreliable but it’s not high on our list.

The facility is absolutely unique with breathtaking views, and exceptionally kind and generous hosts. We were greeted with a generous welcome basket, a perfectly cleaned unit, comfortable surroundings, and a view that you will remember for the rest of your life. The property itself is gorgeous. A beautiful pool with a view of the vineyards. An exceptional work out area, on-site laundry, and even a spot to lie in a hammock and gaze at the stars. I have already recommended it to two of my friends who are visiting Italy next year. It’s a must day! Check in was a bit confusing. As we drove up the winding road where it ended at the castle we were not sure of where to check in. We asked someone who was walking and they said number 19. As it’s a tough maneuver for the car we were concerned on how to find 19. to our surprise, we were greeted by the friendliest smile and our host checked us in and instruct us how to park.

The facilities were the best we have ever encountered - not a single wish left unfulfilled or a need unthought of. Kitchen, pool, gym, extra towels, chairs, free laundry and dryer - we could have happily stayed at Castelletto di Montebenichi for far longer. The hospitality and attention of Marco and his son are unmatched, as is the food and kindness of the staff at the Osteria next door. Staff were extremely friendly, helpfull and knowledgable about the history of the local area. They even helped us to locate a wheelchair after to meet our needs. The pool, garden and gym area were beautifuly manicured and very well resourced. At times the swimming pool felt like your own personal oasis of tranquility. We are looking forward to coming back in the future and highly recoment this place to anyone traveling in this area.

Since it is situated in a small distant village on a top of a hill, the nearest supermarket (in Bucine) is a 20 minutes drive, and the nearest city (Arezzo) a 45 minutes drive. You might feel a bit isolated since you are not really in walking distance to anything.

Antique features tastefully placed throughout the apartment . The tour around the castle was so amazing. Just so genuinely 12th Century old and beautifully restored. The terraced gardens and pool were stunning. Views overlooking olive groves and Chianti vineyards on one side and then a medieval castle to the other. Very peaceful. Marco made us very welcome with wine and gifts in the apartment, nothing was too much trouble. Marco has considered every detail to make this place very special, and exceptional value for money. Utility room, changing rooms and gym. Summer house with chess table, just all perfect.
• Nikolina (10/5): FAIRYTALE ! - We stayed for 6 nights. Everything was like a DREAM ! Marco is the best and nicest host! He payed attention Every single detail. All of the beautiful towns are close. Parking is 11/10 Pool and garden are an absolute dream ! We are Coming next year , but will stay longer. I didn't liked the fact that we don't live there hahahaha !!!!

• Louis (10/5): One of a kind - My wife and I traveled for three weeks through Italy. This was my favorite place of the whole trip. It's completely unique and executed so well. Marco, the owner and host, met us and gave us a tour of the property and garden. The property is quiet, the garden beautiful. Great spot to decompress. For the runners, there is a neat trail run nearby. We went at the end of the season (October), but the pool was still open. I was able to have a nice swim in the salt water pool. I recommend catching sunrise from the garden. The view is great, and it's just all so peaceful. We did day trips out to Siena and Florence. To get to Florence we dropped the car at the Bucine train station and took the train in. Note that google maps will drop you at the wrong side of the train station by default. You want to be on the south side of the tracks where parking is easy (there is a lot) and tickets are available. Thank you to Marco! I hope we can someday come back.

• Andrew (10/5): "Vini Vidi" but will come back soon as I was "Vinci" by the beauty and magic of this place - Staying in the apartment units of the Castle was a "once in a lifetime" experience. The apartment has EVERYTHING you might need during your stay and Marco and Marcello (staff of the castle) go above and beyond to make you feel like Home. The apartment was in EXCELLENT conditions, and rooms are decorated in a way that you enjoy the history this place has to offer. It is strategically with close proximity to lots of other beautiful towns but I always enjoyed the drive back to our castle and cool down with a nice glass of wine with friends. The views and trails around the castle are unmatched as you will be able to enjoy of this place for yourself, and the pool area with its beautiful garden are amazing. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and will certainly come back to enjoy this beautiful place. The experience was perfect for my entire family, and have no complaints nor bad experience.
• Blaz (9/5): Superb - If you are looking for a peaceful escape from busy towns look no further. Scenery is absolutely beautiful and you will find there everything you need to slow down and just enjoy the life. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

• Marinela (10/5): A truly immersive Tuscan experience - We fell in love with the Castelleto! Everything was just splendid. Marco and his son are incredibly gracious hosts who made sure we had everything we needed, answered all the questions we had, provided recommendations for restaurants, shops, activities, you name it. All their recommendations were excellent. The apartment was well equipped and had an air conditioning and a dishwasher, two amenities hard to find in most rentals in Tuscany. The bed and sofa were comfortable and if you enjoy sleeping late in the mornings, this place can be made pitch dark if you close all the window shutters. The pool was fabulous (and long, for those interested in laps), Marco did a phenomenal job with the landscape. The facilities by the pool are spotless and the attention to detail impressive; there's even a laundry machine and dryer available to the guests...what more can you ask for! The cherry on top: the view from the pool is unforgettable, overlooking the stunning and serene Tuscan hills, olive trees, and vineyards. Can’t get more blissful than that! Time stands still when surrounded by such beauty. It was a memorable experience and we are recommending it to all our friends. Thank you Marco!
• Luke&thomas (10/5): If you haven't been here, you definitely miss out! - This place is beautiful. The pool area is great, perfect facilities. And the apartment has everything we need. The view will reach as far as you want to see. Marco the host of the Casteletto is the perfect man. He will tell you about the area, and gives you a tour around the town and all of the facilities before he wishes you a pleasant stay. And maybe he does not want me to tell, but he makes his own Limoncello. We had a bottle to taste and it was 😍! Whenever we get back in this area, we will definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work!

• Doytchin (10/5): Excellent! - Marco had taken care for every single detail to make our stay pleasant - simple things like welcome basket with water and snacks, availability of sugar, salt, olive oil, coffee and filters for the machine, tablets for dish washer do not cost a lot, but are great to have at the end of a long journey. And then the extra luxury detail like having a fridge next to the pool to keep your drink cold. It is obvious that Marco has travelled a lot himself and knows exactly what a traveler needs when arriving after a long drive. No issues.
• Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Location is fantastic , peace and tranquility od this place is just unbelievable. Host is extremely friendly and helpful. If you want to enjoy time with your family far from crowds with authentic charms, it is brilliant place to go.
