Nice to have table and chairs outside to enjoy the canal. Good to have parking available. Ant infestation. We were glad to only be staying 1 night as there were ants all over everything. Couldn’t keep food in the room. Beds very uncomfortable.
• Wolfgang (4/5): Bloss nicht wieder - Auf unseren Wunsch hin wurden wir ins Hotel Giethoorn „umgeleitet“ Reichlich Ameisen im Zimmer, weswegen mehrere Köderdosen aufgestellt waren. Direkt am Fenster ( Armlängenweite ) war der Lagerplatz mit Dachziegeln, Leiter u. a. Baumaterialien. Vor unserem Eingang war die kleine Terrasse, die nur durch einen Gitterzaun vom Fahrradabstellplatz getrennt war. Die vormals weisse Klobrille war schon vergilbt. Keine Abstellmöglichkeit im Bad, auch im Zimmer nur wenig möglich.

• Jamie (7/5): - The location was right on the canal. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were right on a walkway. Also the key code log in did not work multiple times. The staff was great and helped us. I paid for early check in but it wasn't possible because of the key code issues. Hopefully they will figure that out.

• Remco (6/5): The overpriced hotel that wasn’t needed. - Breakfast is decent enough, although the scrambled eggs tasted weird. Poffertjes and croissants were nice. And the restaurant is a nice place to have breakfast. Price! I get that you pay for the location as in being directly in Giethoorn, but the room was definitely not worth the money we paid for it. Rooms are small and the mattresses did not have a lot of support. Very noisy. We could hear everything what was happening in the adjacent rooms. And I mean everything. My advice, visit Giethoorn as a day trip. You don’t need an hotel. Giethoorn is a very small village en you can see everything within the day. Then you don’t have to pay €175 for a night for a €75 room.

Very noisy. The room seemed newly renovated but the floors were very squeaky you could not walk in them without making a lot of noise. Also the room was on the front of the building and right in the main street so you could hear everything and everyone. It is all online so we did not have any human interaction.

• Markus (7/5): Guter Kurzaufenthalt in guter Lage, aber bitte ohne Frühstück! - Wir hatten ein ruhig gelegenes Zimmer, da gibt es auch andere. Die Einrichtung war modern und sauber. Alles nötige war da, auf kleinem Raum, aber OK. Der Online Checkin funktioniert einwandfrei. Zugangscode kommt per Mail. Das Frühstück hat echt Optimierungspotential. Das Rührei war aus dem Tetrapack und einfach nicht genießbar, nie so schlecht erlebt. Der Speck war nicht ansatzweise knusprig. Kann man sich vorstellen, als sei der Speck im Warmhaltebehälter lange aufgewärmt worden. Keine Ahnung ob der jemals in einer Pfanne war. Obstsalat auch aus der Dose. Gurkenscheiben sehr trocken, mindestens vom Vortag. Brötchen aufgebacken, die dunklen waren aber schmackhaft. Aufschnitt und Käse waren OK.

• Thomas (7/5): angenehmes Hotel in guter Lage - Zimmer 127 nach hinten raus: Zimmer sehr sauber und geräumig mit kleinem Schreibtisch und Nespresso-Maschine, Bad funktional und sauber, alle Sanitäreinrichtungen top in Ordnung. Die Lage ist prima, das Zimmer war ruhig. Das Frühstück war gehobener Standard. Das Bad ist sehr klein, mal eben Gesichtwaschen am Waschbecken nahezu ünmöglich. Die Matrazen fanden wir recht weich und 'wobbly'. Die Bedienung im Restaurant behauptete, es wäre kein Frühstück gebucht. Nach Insistieren hat sie dann aber bestätigt, dass es doch gebucht sei und sie es übersehen habe (darüber kann man nun denken, was man will...). Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis fanden wir für Nebensaison etwas unausgewogen.

Hay apartamento justo enfrente. En la habitación no había casi luz y algunos de los enchufes no funcionaban. Para poder encontrar de noche una de las habitaciones que estaba fuera casi no había indicaciones y la zona de acceso una escalera metálica empinada no tenía luz, tuvimos que utilizar la linterna de los teléfonos.

• Claudia (8/5): O quarto faltou conforto - O café da manhã é bom , e a localização também é boa O quarto muito pequeno e quente , o banheiro muito ruim por ser tudo aberto para o quarto sem porta , quando toma banho molha tudo até a entrada do quarto . A pia não tem lugar para largar nem uma escova . E telhado muito próximo encima da cama , o colchão muito mole .muito ruim o check in on line e o check out não tinha ninguém para fazer e nem no site conseguimos fazer . Tivemos que avisar a funcionária da cozinha que estávamos saindo e deixamos com ela os números dos quartos para ela fazer o nosso check out .

• József (8/5): Gutes Hotel, schöne Lage - Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen Gegend. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Die Betten sind extrem unbequem. Sie sind sehr weich und durchgelegen. Man konnte darin unmöglich schlafen.

• Roman (8/5): Erholung in der Nähe eines traumhaften Ortes. - Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, sowohl für Gäste, die mit dem Auto oder Bus anreisen, als auch besonders für diejenigen, die den Ort zu Fuß erkunden möchten. In unserem Fall war das kein Problem, aber Touristen, die sich mit dem Handy nicht gut auskennen, könnten Schwierigkeiten beim Check-in und Check-out haben. Außerdem hätten wir uns über eine Trinkwasserflasche im Zimmer gefreut.

During check in when we arrived , woman on reception didn't even look... just said you have to do it online... while not even saying welcome or anything Like that....thats not level of hospitality at all... DO NOT TAKE BREAKFAST! Price is very hight for what they offer! You really will regret about it, better to go out and eat somewhere else!

• Juerg (8/5): Außer einchecken alles super - Die Lage war speziell mit Blick auf Wasser und Touristen Online einchecken war schwierig und ist generell eine Zumutung, wärend unserem kurzen Aufenthalt haben viele Mühe gehabt dies zu bewerkstelligen. Schade ist keine Bezugsperson vor Ort. Gewinn geht eben über Alles😡

• Sandra (8/5): Tolle Lage und super Frühstück. - Das Hotel besticht durch die direkte Lage am Kanal und hat von daher einen tollen Ausblick, wenn man ein Zimmer bucht, dass zum Kanal liegt. Die anderen Zimmer liegen zum großen Parkplatz hin. In der Hochsaison kann es dadurch mit Sicherheit lauter werden. Ansonsten scheint das Hotel kürzlich renoviert worden zu sein und die Fotos entsprechen dem tatsächlichen Zustand. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Im Erdgeschoss liegt das Restaurant, wo morgens auch ein tolles Frühstück mit allem, was man sich wünscht, serviert wird. Man muss wissen, dass es hier keine Rezeption gibt. Alles läuft online, Check-in und auch der Check-out. Die Zimmer sind recht hellhörig. Wir hatten zwei Doppelzimmer im 1. OG (125 und 127) und gegenüber von uns hat ein Pärchen gewohnt, die sich leider über mehrere Stunden hinweg gestritten und geschlagen hat. 2x war die Polizei da, gebracht hat es leider nichts. Dementsprechend war die Nacht und wir waren froh, aufgrund dieser Umstände morgens nach dem Frühstück weiterfahren zu können.

• Anton (8/5): - Die Zimmer sind frisch renoviert und modern eingerichtet, was einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck macht. Das Frühstück war gut und abwechslungsreich und hat uns gefallen. Die Dame vor Ort war sehr freundlich und konnte etwas Deutsch mit uns sprechen. Die Lage des Hotels ist großartig: Direkt in der Nähe befinden sich ein Einkaufsladen, Parkplätze und die Boote. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt von 1–2 Tagen ist das Dorf sehr gut geeignet und lässt sich gut erkunden. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, sodass man Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern deutlich mitbekommt. Die Matratzen sind sehr weich; man fühlt sich fast wie auf einer Wassermatratze und wir hatten Schwierigkeiten, darauf gut zu schlafen. Die Außentreppe zum Zimmer war für meinen Mann mit Knieproblemen sehr belastend und war in der Beschreibung nicht klar genug hervorgehoben. Der Check‑in war für uns als ältere Menschen etwas verwirrend, da es keine eigentliche Rezeption gibt und man erst im Restaurantbereich eincheckt. Am Abend war es bereits kurz nach 19 Uhr sehr ruhig und fast „leer“, was die Atmosphäre etwas gedämpft hat.

• ninette (9/5): Great place to stay to enjoy the area. - Easy to get to from the bus stop. Lots of eating options very close and close to the grocery store. Room was really nice. Felt clean. We had the room in front with the tables outside. At first it felt a bit awkward with all the people walking by and being able to look in the room if the blinds weren’t closed. But we loved the parade of people watching and boats colliding. Especially on Saturday. Staff in the restaurant were really nice and very upbeat. Even though I read that you get your code automatically I didn’t understand that I had to check my email and do an online registration. It went through quick enough and was quite smooth. They had other options to add on which I didn’t pay attention to as I was trying to work quickly. But that was nice. One of the best things about staying overnight is walking around before 10 and after 7 - then the crowds are gone and you can really enjoy the place. There was a wierd flashing bright white light that went off every so often that was disruptive to sleep. We finally figured out on the 2nd day it was from a white box. As with many places there are no towel racks or places to put your bathroom items in the bathroom which turns into a balancing act.
